We had the best experience buying our new 2020 Subaru Ascent from International Subaru. The process was so quick and easy and everyone we worked with went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. Our Product Specialist Larry Sweis was outstanding in the service provided. He reviewed all possible options that fit our needs. We purchased a 2019 Crosstrek before we left the dealership. We visited six other dealers considering many different brands and models. Because of Larry's detailed attention we decided on the Crosstrek. Janine Turner completed all of the paper work staying after hours so that we could drive the car home that evening. We are very satisfied with the purchase experience at International Subaru.

Fantastic Purchase Experience - No Hassles

We walked in to Subaru in Orland and were immediately greeted, but allowed to look at the cars and ask questions about various models, etc... Steve, our Sales Associate, was very accommodating and helped us select the right vehicle for my wife. The test drive was great, no haggling on price and close was fast. After several high-pressure trips 15-16 years ago I opted to never return! I softened and so glad I did! Salesman/Ryan was zero pressure and very knowledgeable & finance/Janine was very helpful. The only issue the entire time was ComEd was having issues in the area and the internet kept going down making the contract hard to finish. We made it and I'm a happy camper in my new Outback! No pressure, no games purchase experience.

In 2018 I did a "what if" car search and I was 90% sure my next car would be a Suburu Crosstrek. The salesman, Ken Voogt, was very helpful during my visit and he helped me learn more about the Crosstrek. I decided not to buy in 2018, but I knew I would choose International Suburu in the future. In May 2019 my Toyota Corolla's engine had a leak in the head gasket. It needed an engine replacement. The car had 180,000 miles and it was eleven years old. Time to buy a new car. I did a Truecar search and got an idea of what the car might cost me. I was contacted by several Chicago area Suburu dealers. There are only three close enough to Orland Park, Illinois, so that eliminated the others. Only two had the exact model I wanted and International Suburu was closer to my house. Entering the dealership and just by chance the salesman, Ken Voogt was assigned to wait on me. We both remembered last years meeting and I felt at ease with Ken's respectful way of communicating. I told Ken I was serious about buying and that I chose a car from his inventory. The finance department gave me a payment breakdown. I took it home to think about and run the numbers on my computer. I subtracted the downpayment and found the numbers to be be too high. I talked to Ken and he came back to me with their lowest numbers. My payment software came up with a slightly lower payment, but I decided to go with their price because of the dealership location and because that Crosstrek was exactly what I wanted. Before my final choice I did one test drive of a Honda HRV. It was a similar class to the Crosstrek. I didn't like it, so the Crosstrek stayed my choice. The only negative thing that went wrong was when they misplaced one of my Crosstrek's keys. They gave me a form promising to deliver a second key. No big deal. It was an overall no pressure, no games experience. Brian H.

Disappointed with managment;did not follow through on sales

Brought in new car on April 10 for a scheduled oil change that we were told would be free at time of purchase. Girl at service desk told my wife they could service it right away instead of leaving it and asked my wife about rotating the tires. My wife agreed and figured it went with the first time oil change. After servicing vehicle, front desk girl told my wife it would be $109. Wife told her it was supposed to be free. Girl said that promo has stopped the Monday before (April 8). Two days later, April 12 I called and talked to a manager named Carlos. He told me that Eric was service manager and that would e-mail him are concerns and that Eric would call us back. He Didn’t. I called Eric on April 18. He apologized about incident and that we were to get a full refund. He told me we would receive a check in 7 to 10 days. No Check Came. I called May 22 and asked to talk with General Manager of International Motors. I talked with women who answered and asked reason for call. I told her. She put me on hold and tried to contact Eric. She told me Eric wasn’t picking up, but assured me that he will get message and call me back. No Call. We are very disappointed with the management lack of response and poor business ethics. Wish we had bought elsewhere

Terrible service

I had a question about my service bill. I was first transferred to a voice mail with no name. An hour later I called back and was transferred to different voicemail. this on at least had a name. After an hour and a half I called back an left another voicemail message. I went back to the dealership to speak to someone directly but was told no one was available, and no one had business cards! Not even the General manger of the entire dealership, seriously. Every time I go there I feel like i am annoying them. No more! I also own a Hyundai. I get treated much better there. my next car will not be the Legacy I like. I will be buying another Hyundai!

Our salesmen, Marty Lucas was knowledgeable and helpful. When they didn't have in stock the car I wanted he quickly found a dealership with one and was able to acquire it. The financing was as pain free as I have ever experienced. I would recommend the dealership and Marty Lucas to anyone.
