Best Mini Service Team in Orange County

I am a fanatic Mini owner. I own number of Mini's from various dealerships almost 17 years ago. I moved to Irvine several years ago. I can not thank enough for all the service Aldo and Irvine Mini Service Team provided for me and my wife. They are courteous and freindly. They communicate promptly and accurately. They always promise out and deliver early. Sometimes repair and maintenance can be pricy with Mini, but they always made up with extra service and companion. I am definitely buying my next Mini or BMW from these guys.

Recall Notice

Here's what they claim: "We have a strong and committed staff satisfying our customers' needs." It couldn't be further from the truth. They lie and don't care. My first and last experiences at Irvine Mini: I bought my car from a private owner two years old. Read in the manual that it has a feature that opens the sunroof and windows when you press and hold the key. Tried several times, rereading the manual. Called Irvine Mini, couldn't tell me over the phone, had to bring it in. Brought it in and they said the original owner never "activated that feature" and it'd be $100. Hard to believe when he paid $39,000 back in 2004. Told them I can live without it. One day I unlocked my car and guess what? The sunroof and the windows opened. I swore I'd never go back there but I thought they'd stand behind the recall notice they sent me: wrong! The power steering fan makes noise and my mechanic said a client of his got it covered because the warranty covers the pump, fan and any wiring which the notice states. Irvine Mini said it's not power steering pump was not the same as they one on the recall notice (even though I got a notice with my vin on it). Hard to believe that Mini doesn't know which parts they put on their cars but the dealer claims they send the notice out to everyone that has a car in that year. How stupid is that? They were going to charge me $150 diagnosis fee unless i paid $332 for the fan or any of the $6600 of recommended work. The car is not even worth that much. I would have gotten the tires and the brakes ($1000, since their prices on those two things are not over inflated like the rest of the repairs), but since I can't trust them and they are not the least bit accommodating, I didn't and I didn't bother to look at the new Mini's while I was there. The notice states to call Mini Cooper Customer Relations and the NHTSA if they don't fix the issue so I did and nothing was done. The NHTSA gave me a claim number and told me to call Mini with it. They took the number and said it's still up to the dealer and they didn't change their mind about it when I told them I made a claim. The service manager did finally waive the $150 diagnosis charge. So I took it in for nothing but to be treated poorly. Oh I did get to drive a 2019 loaner for two days...big deal, not like I want one now. In summary $432 ($100 for the bull-loney "feature activation" and $332 for the fan) is worth it for them to lose a customer. In a market where their value has decreased due to competition, you would think it'd be worth it to them.

I would not recommend this dealer.

All around great experience from the manager to the sales team. Both Jordan and JP worked well as a team to help facilitate our purchases. Jordon helped with the purchase of our 16 year old daughters first car and once I got a taste of how a Mini drives, Jordan guided me to the Countryman which drove like a gem. JP helped finalize the purchase of the Countryman since Jordon was on vacation. Fantastic team work guys.

the entire staff at irvine mini knows my face and calls me by my name when i walk into the door FOR ANYTHING. it’s kind of like the tv set of CHEERS yet it’s real life and a mini dealership! each employee goes the extra mile to make me comfortable satisfied with service and confident that the car i am driving and the car my teenaged daughters are driving is safe and secure. each purchase that i have made at irvine mini has felt as if i hired a personal concierge service. all documents and d m v documents are waiting for me in a crisp white envelope with my name on the front. allison ( the mini specialist ) has painstakingly gone through each and every detail of the car to ensure that i am able to operate the necessary gadgets to operate my car and drive it home. j p calls or texts me from time to time to ensure that our cars are ok and that we are doing ok. it’s funny but i feel like by purchasing our minis at irvine mini we have become a small part of this vast mini family. it’s so comforting to know that someone out there has our back while we are on the open road! thank you irvine mini. what would we do without you guys? kim cameron and riley russo

Exceptional service.

I bought my first mini a year ago from a used car dealership and I came to Irvine MINI to get some maintenance services done whereupon I met Jose. He was very friendly and welcoming from the start. My car had a few problems and Jose did a great job giving me advice on which services needed to be taken care of more urgently since I didn’t have the budget to get them all done at the same time. I since sold the first mini I bought because an old two wheel drive clubman couldn’t handle the snowy mountain roads of Big Bear; where I work. I recently purchased an All4 Countryman JCW and have been coming to Jose for any problems or service with my car ever since. He is very cosiderate of the fact that I drive for a living and that my mini needs a lot of maintenance. He is a great service consultant and I will be coming back to Jose for future work on my car. Also, the two guys that help people out with loaner cars are pretty cool too, but alas I forgot their names.

Great Customer Service

Your staff have been exceptional over the past few years. I have always been greeted promptly, given a service loaner when bringing my car in for service, given ample notice when the service is done and my car is ready to be picked up. I have been bringing my car to your dealership for almost five years and have felt like a valued customer, especially after my service on March 12th. I can now honestly say that Irvine Mini does care about their customers and I even had a personal phone call with the GM who helped me tremendously with my most recent visit. In sales, relationships are everything. My relationship with Irvine MINI is still strong today. People ask me on a daily basis how do I like my Countryman and I always speak so highly of it. I will continue to do so and I will also speak highly of Irvine Mini as a dealership. Steve Rudkin, the GM of Irvine MINI and Irvine BMW, thank you for the great customer service.

Brought my Daughters 2016 MINI Clubman in for a Service recently. I didn't have an appointment, so I was in on a wing and a prayer. The Service writer Jose was a gentleman. He hooked me up and got me in and out in no time. I appreciate that 'can do' attitude. I was a 1st time visitor to the Dept, normally servicing at a MINI dealership but Jose has converted me to Irvine MINI. Thank you again.
