AWFUL--incompetent and dishonest

By Brent on 6/30/2019 at 10:08 PM. Helped by Brian Viera.

DESERVES ZERO STARS!!! Absolutely the WORST car buying experience I've ever had. I live in Baltimore and at 230 pm coordinated to come look at a car around 330pm. I arrived at 350pm and the sales rep, Brian Vierra, was not there. No problem, I thought, I'm running a bit late and was greeted by another member of the staff. We took at look at my old car for a trade in appraisal and came back to the desk. I then overheard a conversation in which two employees said, "I can't get it started." I had a sinking feeling they meant the car I was there to look at. An employee came back in and told me that staff had been trying to start the Honda Civic I was there to look at with a Honda Pilot key. Approx 5-10 minutes later (so 410ish) Brian finally arrives and tells me that the car is "blocked in" and they need to find some other keys to move the blocking vehicle. He directs me to a desk where I sat for around 15 minutes. At 430 I went up to see what was going on. Brian tells me that 1. the Civic was dead and needed a jump start --so the story about it not starting due to a key error seems like bs. 2. was unable to answer my question why the battery was dead, other than to say it had been detailed 3-4 days ago and that "maybe" someone left a light on 3. told me that the car was out of gas and needed to be filled up. It seems they had no intention of telling me the vehicle was having problems had I not asked. So to summarize, grossly incompetent and dishonest.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Avoid this dealer

By Juan on 6/13/2019 at 1:32 PM. Helped by Joshua Carlton.

The sales people were sleazy as usual, but what was really unacceptable was that the repair service. I brought the car for some damage from a tree branch. They almost paint the entire car, without my authorization and way above their estimate. Just ripping off the insurance (and me in the process). Avoid Jim Coleman.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Good selection and personable service

By Dpesce12 on 3/30/2019 at 1:56 AM. Helped by Devin.

Bought a Q50 from Frank and Cesar and purchased the extended wrap + wheel package. Called in to service because my wheels were chipped, my window molding had a slight defect, and my mirror vibrated slightly when driving. Devin reached out personally and set me up with a loaner car. He ordered all new parts without any hassle, honoring the warranty on every component mentioned. Great service. Bring your Infiniti here.

I would recommend this dealer.

Disppointing Standards for a Luxury Car Service Shop

By kamcy on 3/22/2019 at 7:47 PM. Helped by Devin Walker.

I took my car to Jim Coleman Infiniti in Bethesda in December of 2018 for some minor overheating problems. I was assigned to Devin Walker (The RED TEAM). After inspecting the vehicle Devin contacted me and suggested $3,112 in repairs to replace Radiator, Thermostat, Camshafts, Gasket, etc. In addition, he also suggested I replace the Driveshaft because it was completely done and could "break off and potentially kill me" (for an additional $2,000). I trusted his opinion and went with his recommendation, but I declined replacing the Driveshaft. Approx. 1 week after I picked up the car and paid a total of $3,112.09, I experienced the same issue with overheating. This time I took the car to Nationwide Infiniti (where I bought the car brand new). After inspection, Nationwide informed me that the Radiator and Thermostat both needed replacing along with a listing of essentially all the other items that Jim Coleman had apparently "Replaced". I was fortunate that Nationwide Infiniti completed the service under warranty (no issues there). While the car was being serviced by Nationwide Infiniti I asked them for a second opinion about my Driveshaft. Turns out the Driveshaft is in good condition (NO Surprise). I called Devin at Jim Coleman and spoke with him about the situation. To my amazement he was smug and seem very callous. His initial response to me was "What are you asking for from Jim Coleman". I said at a minimum I need the name of the Technician who worked on my car to find out if any service was performed at all. Devin responded that he’ll need to have someone higher than him call me. Days later, NO CALL. If you decide to use Jim Coleman, I highly recommend getting a second opinion if your car is drivable. If not, have it towed to another dealership. It’ll save you $$ and the headache. They are all about making more $$ (even if it means recommending service you don’t need) with no regards for their customers. STAY AWAY……

I would not recommend this dealer.

Amazing Experience !

By infinitiguy94 on 2/18/2019 at 2:24 PM.

Spent weeks looking for a Black on Black 2018 Infiniti Q50 3.0t AWD w/ essential package and this was 1 of 20 dealers in a 200 mile radius that had one. I just want to say that I drove 200+ miles (Hoboken, New Jersey) not only because they gave me a great deal but they treated me with respect as if I were a human being and not just another dollar sign$ walking around. I negotiated with Cesar Yanes who was fantastic to speak to because he kept it real with me the entire time & was just a genuine guy (you could tell). Stanislav Odnolko made sure the car was to my liking and constantly asked if he could do anything else for me. Financing manager Jass Dzinic explained everything and got me some of the lowest used car rate loans (I was surprised haha). This is the most important thing: I’ve been to dealerships in NY , NJ, CT & PA, by far they were the nicest over the phone & in person. Great staff. I hope everyone experiences their buying experience the same way I did. Thanks again Jim Coleman Infiniti

I would recommend this dealer.

First Oil Change and Already Asking for $3,000 In Repairs

By Shariece Evans on 11/23/2018 at 3:56 PM. Helped by George Sanchez.

A few months ago my husband and I purchased a QX80 from Jim Coleman Infiniti. We worked with a sales person named George Sanchez. We went to Jim Coleman hoping to buy a dependable family vehicle, which we would need in the future. We were assured that the vehicle we were purchasing received a complete diagnostic check and all major work on the truck had been done. We were promised the car would be ready for us to pick up and drive home the next day. Unfortunately, we did not receive the car until five days later. We suspected that there was something with the truck that the dealership was trying to hide. We were assured that the vehicle was in very good condition and that there were no major repairs that would need to be done anytime soon. We were offered 5 free oil changes for our trouble. 5,000 miles later, we take the truck in for the first oil change. We were told that in the near future, we would need spark plugs. Two weeks later, the truck's engine light came on and we took it in for service again. We were told that the truck would needed a catalytic converter and the repairs would cost about $3,000. I don't know what kind of truck they sold us. How in the world do we need this much repaired after driving a 4 year old truck only 5,000 additional miles? I am 2 months away from my due date and it is very stressful knowing that this dealership clearly hid from us that this truck needed major repairs done. I have never experienced this much deceit during the car/truck buying process as experienced while dealing with Jim Coleman Infiniti. I would not recommend this dealership at all. I would however recommend going to Lexus of Rockville. I was able to get a great deal from Wille Savage on a used, 3 year old, Lexus GX 460. I have driven the truck about 10,000 miles so far and have had no major issues.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Very unprofessional service experience *Updated w/response

By GCM077 on 9/12/2017 at 11:52 AM. Helped by Emma Cook.

Before I begin, I would like to say that I find it a bit concerning that I am having to rewrite this review as the dealer has had it removed from here citing that it is "bogus" and that I was not a customer without even having my contact information or reaching out to me. In response I have included a google doc link with my receipt of work showing my customer ID information if the dealership is interested in actually finding out more or even who or if I was a customer instead of having my reviews on multiple sites pulled without this information. Original review: I took my FX35 there for a brake issue. They had it for over a month as they couldn't get the part. When I got my car back, there's something wrong with the steering now, one of the center caps is missing from the wheels and that tire needs to be pumped back up every couple of days, and the battery cover was crushed underneath the hood, presumably removed when they had to jump start my car after it sat for so long. These are things that I would expect from a Walmart auto center from a bunch of kids who just need a paycheck, not from a dealership that charges quite a bit. * September 26 Update: The dealer has replied to this review stating that my review is bogus without even knowing my name or information, nor reaching out to me. A simple call to clarify things or asking me to elaborate could avoid this. I have updated my reviews to include the correct name of the service person I worked (Emma Cook) not Gina as I stated before and changed the date range to "over a month*" from "almost two months". It did feel like that but after checking my paperwork, it was only a month. I will gladly provide the dealer with any other information they need to identify me as a customer. The dealership is welcomed to reach out to me or can speak with Emma to verify my call with her. I am not hear to slander anyone, this is an honest review of an unprofessional group. Maybe it was just one service person having an off day, it doesnt make my review bogus. * December 27 Update: This dealer has continuously tried to take down my reviews citing that I was not a customer even after I sent them receipts showing them who I was and that we had done business to the tune of almost $1000 in repairs. This is really disappointing. If they spent as much effort actually reaching out to me than I would have gladly changed this and my other reviews. Instead they have tried to use back channels and hide someone's honest experience. I even called the dealership and never received a call back. Such a disappointment.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Outstanding service Johnathon Delacruz Garcia

By LXYLDY on 6/20/2017 at 1:23 PM. Helped by Johnathon Delacruz Garcia.

I first want to commend Johnathon Delacruz Garcia a sales representative at Jim Coleman Infinity for his outstanding customer service. He offered every car buying accommodation available including providing the car I was interested in, more than once, quickly, conveniently while I was actively shopping. Since it was a preowned car I discussed a couple of minor concerns regarding the car and when I returned the issues were resolved. There was absolutely no sales pressure from him. He answered all my questions and also demonstrated some of the cars new technological features. Johnathon went above and beyond just selling the car to me. At the conclusion of the sale, Johnathon figured a way for me to get the car home that same day and not wait through the weekend before delivery. Good job Johnathon, thank you so much! You're not just a salesman but a kind human being! I would definitely recommend Johnathon Delacruz Garcia and the Jim Coleman Infiniti dealership.

Great Car Buying Experience

By RobertW. on 4/13/2017 at 1:46 AM.

It was a great car buying experience. I applied for a loan, selected a car that morning, and next I received a response from Ahmad to come pick out my car. I arrived at the dealership with my friend and he was cool and personable to both us. He helped me setup my profile in my car. If or when I want to get another Infiniti, I will definitely purchase from Ahmad again. If you want an Infiniti, check out Ahmad.

I had a wonderful experience buying my Lexus RX350 from Ahmad Hanif at Jim Coleman Infinity. He was very personable, informative and overall friendly and not pushy. He represented the dealership well and was very helpful in accommodating me. His earnest and up front information about the vehicle and the transaction left no surprises in the process. A really a good experience.

Best Car Buying Experience

By LindaK on 4/5/2017 at 2:02 PM. Helped by General Manager.

I recently was in shopping for a new car. I found the experience satisfying and very unlike other car buying experiences in that it was so positive. I met with both the General Manager and Amhad. They were polite, professional and made the process a pleasant one. I will not hesitate to buy from this dealership again!

Fantastic car buying experience - couldn't be happier!

By SCar on 4/4/2017 at 1:36 AM.

We recently were in the market for a new QX-60. After doing quite a bit of on-line shopping across the mid-Atlantic, we ended up purchasing from Jim Coleman for a number of reasons: 1) Both Ahmad Hanif (Internet Sales Manager) and Ryan Latham (General Sales Manager) were extremely responsive to all questions and queries. 2) There was no pressure to come in or vagaries in the pricing. They priced precisely the vehicles I was asking for including all the options I wanted and only those options. 3) Jim Coleman’s pricing was in line with the lowest pricing I received from any other the dealers queried and unlike many other dealers their pricing was not tied to one specific vehicle. Basically, once we had agreed on a price and options, we had our pick of vehicles that had those options. 4) In the end, we got the vehicle we wanted for the price we were looking for and everything was completed on line and in two phone calls. 5) On the day set for the pickup the paper work was completed very quickly and Ahmad provided a thorough and complete introduction to the car. All in all, a wonderful experience and would definitely buy from Jim Coleman again! Great job to Ahmad, Ryan, and the whole team there.

I would recommend this dealer.

Car owners beware of service here!!

By Alex on 3/11/2017 at 9:28 PM. Helped by Dennis Moore.

Beware of Dennis Moore. He tried to cheat us twice on repairs that should have been FREE. Quoted us thousands of dollars then reduced the cost by 70% to make it look like a good deal for repairs that weren't needed. We complained about a noise that turned out to be the coupler that had had a service bulletin issued about it, and he tried to charge us for the repair. Never told us about the recall/bulletin. We googled it when he kept discounting the price over and over and we got suspicious. Six months later my engine light came on and I only came back because I had a recall on my passenger side airbag sensor. Dennis said it was a bad air flow sensor and cat. convertor quoting us a $2788 repair that he then magically discounted to $460. Again, we were suspicious so this time we took it to another mechanic. He said it just needed a reprogramming that should be offered for free by the dealer. DO NOT take your car here. When I called Dennis he LIED and said he had done the reprogramming. When I got the service manager Dale Kearns involved, he confirmed Dennis lied, calling it a "misunderstanding". The only positive was Dale took over and did the reprogramming. Turns out I didn't need a new air flow sensor after the reprogramming was done, much less a cat. convertor. Shocker! Dennis is the most deceitful and conniving sales person I have ever had to deal with and he's been there for years. I can't imagine how many hard working people he has cheated. UPDATE - Two weeks after the review, my engine light came back on. I did need a new air flow sensor. This stepped approach was how the repair should have been handled in the first place in order to get an accurate read on the sensor. Since the reprogramming had been completed, I felt confident that the air flow sensor was truly in need of replacement. Dale handled the repair in a timely fashion, covered the cost and provided a comparable loaner while the car was in service. I am pleased that the issue was ultimately resolved and my car is not having any issues.

A July 4th to Remember!

By Infiniti N Beyond on 7/5/2016 at 6:53 PM.

I purchased my Infiniti, which I love, thanks to Ahmad, from Jim Coleman Infiniti on the 4th of July. Ahmad cut through the fog to get me a deal on my car that worked. He took care of all the details on a 4th of July to allow me to drive my Infiniti home the same day within only a few hours. I will not go to any other Infiniti dealer. There is one closer to me in Virginia that I had my previous Infiniti serviced at for over six years and 138,000 miles. On the last tire change, I got my Infiniti back with scoring around each of the four rims. The dealership did not do the right thing to fix it...they lost a customer. A month later I worked with Ahmad at Jim Coleman Infiniti for both a new Infiniti and service... I have not looked back since thanks to Ahmad.

I would recommend this dealer.

Great Experience!

By Tsheinin on 7/5/2016 at 1:31 PM. Helped by Kirk.

We puchased a new QX80 about 2 months ago from Jim Coleman and had the privilege of working with Kirk as our salesman. From the first moment Kirk was extremely informative about the car we were interested in and did not try and typical car salesman tactics. He was very low pressure throughout the process as well as extremely friendly and beyond helpful. He continually followed up with us at the appropriate times and did it once again without being pushy. For those that are normally turned off by the thought of having to go to the dealer to buy a car, I can't recommend Jim Coleman and Kirk highly enough. In fact, the entire staff there was friendly and helpful. Kirk is a superstar and you would be doing yourself a favor by visiting and speaking with him.

The Consummate Professional!

By K. O. on 6/21/2016 at 6:36 PM.

I was very nervous about purchasing another vehicle, although I knew it was time. I'd had my 2007 Nissan Altima for almost 10 years and was sad to see it go. As I began to research my next purchase, I knew that I wanted a pre-owned SUV. Once I decided on exactly which SUV I wanted (the Infiniti JX35), the real work began - finding a dealership that I felt was truly worthy of my business. Anyone that has every purchased a vehicle before knows that the entire process can be quite unnerving. You can easily become overwhelmed and frustrated. I'd actually been to 2 other Infiniti dealers (much closer to home) with no success. Either they were too pushy, had poor follow-up/customer service, couldn't accommodate my needs, or did not have adequate inventory of the vehicle that I wanted. However, this was not my experience at all with Ahmad Hanif - the Internet Sales Manager @ Jim Coleman Infiniti in Bethesda, MD. The initial communication with him began online when my husband spotted "the perfect SUV" for me...one that could pass my intense scrutiny and match my long list of "must-haves". We scheduled to meet with Ahmad on a Saturday afternoon to see the vehicle of interest; however, he actually had 2 for me to see. I'm one of those people that live by the premise "when I know, I just know". As soon as I saw the vehicle, I knew that it was the one. Ahmad and his colleagues wasted no time in getting me into it for a test-drive, answering ALL of my incessant questions, and having me out the door within a few hours in my vehicle of choice. They even took the time to ensure that the SUV was properly detailed before I left that evening. They were also very understanding of my pre-approval arrangement through my credit union - which offered me a stellar finance rate, even though this would probably negatively impact their bottom-line and additional opportunity for commission. I was impressed by how intently they worked to meet or beat that rate. Ahmad even went as far as accompanying me and my husband to the gas station to send us back to Baltimore with a full tank of gas (on him) for the long journey ahead. The real seal of approval for me came when, 2 months after my purchase while preparing for my first out-of-town trip with family, I realized that I was not provided the remote control for the DVD system in my SUV. I immediately emailed Ahmad, and he worked feverishly to acquire one for me. He even express mailed it to me at my home in Baltimore, so that I wouldn't have to drive all the way back down to Bethesda. This has honestly been the best, most seamless buying experience I've ever had...and I'm a very hard sell. So, if you are in the market for a new or used Infiniti vehicle and are looking for the right place to take your business, look no further. I am truly sold on this dealership and the level of care and impeccable customer service that they CHOOSE to provide their customers. I was treated like royalty...and for that they now have A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE! Way to go Ahmad! You are truly the consummate car sales professional.

I would recommend this dealer.
