Great service experience

I bought my Mazda six years ago from this dealership and I have gotten it service here every since. On my most recent service they needed to order the part and offered me a free loaner for a week. When I returned to pick my car up on Monday morning, they were unable to retrieve it because it was blocked by a car belonging to the sales department for which they were unable to locate the keys and the sales dept. didn't arrive until 9am. Pete Gallagher (Service Manager) offered me and my car pooler gift cards for breakfast to Chick-fil-A and Starbucks and told me to take the loaner and I could either pick my car up later that day after work or on tomorrow. I arrived the next day to find my car parked near the service department and fully detailed. I am truly appreciated Mr. Gallagher offers of goodwill for my inconvenience.

Awesome Service Department !!!

Everyone is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Feels like a visit with trusted family members. The complimentary snacks were very welcomed! The cashiers were friendly and worked quickly to complete transactions to get me on my way.

5K Maintenance

Hilton Young scheduled my first maintenance appointment. All required 5K maintenance needs were addressed. Additionally, Pete Gallagher (Service Manager) reviewed my questions about my car due to the number of miles I drive per day. Pete did an excellent job going over in detail each area of concern and assured me everything checked out fine. Therefore, Pete went above and beyond. Hilton also took time out from his sales responsibility to confirm with me that I was ok with my service.

Great experience purchasing a 2018 Mazda CX9!

We researched crossovers for over a year, reading various reviews etc. We had a short list of cars that we wanted to test drive such as the Enclave, Acadia, MDX, etc. The Mazda CX9 was a late entry and we are so glad that we took a look. Great car and lots of value for the price. Most of all we were SOLD by the experience we had with our Sales Rep. Hilton Young. He was very knowledgeable about the car and took the time to really explain the safety features, etc. He was not pushy at all and was a great balance of professional with a personal touch! We LOVE the car and Hilton is all kinds of AWESOME!

Mike Fresquez was great to deal with

Mike was extremely easy to deal with. He didn't try to oversell anything. He just wanted to make the experience easy for us. Then to top it all off, after I bought the car I realized there were no floor mats, so I called him and he found some all weather mats to fit in the car I purchased. Just a great experience.

Waste of Time

Doug Aldridge was my Automotive Service Advisor. I was very satisfied with my experience. He was very responsive and gave us good service. Eddie Goines was so polite and greeted me right away when I dropped my car off a couple hours before my scheduled drop off time. Customer service was impeccable.

Best car buying experience ever

I've been raving about my car buying experience with Hilton Young all week to my coworkers, and decided to finally fill out an official review online. I spent a week looking for a new car, visiting 7 different dealerships and test driving a dozen vehicles to really do my research. Every dealership I went to tried to pressure me into buying a car right away, and almost every salesman I met with second guessed the kind of car I wanted to get and the features I was looking for. A friend recommended the Jim Ellis dealerships, and I'm so glad they did. From the moment I walked into the Jim Ellis Mazda dealership, my experience was 100% positive. Hilton listened to me and never second guessed me about what kind of car I wanted, and he took me for a nice long test drive where I could see how the car drove in traffic, how it handled curves, the turn radius, how it handled bumpy roads - everything. It was such a positive experience taking the car for a test drive and being listened to and not pressured that I knew that I was going to buy my car from him. When I decided to purchase the car, Hilton walked me through everything and made sure I was comfortable with all the different service packages. He had prepared an owner's manual for me with color coded tabs marking important pages, and went through the pamphlet explaining all the car's special features in detail. He then spent another half hour or so with me sitting in the car, showing me how the car's display worked, how to access my settings, and even connected my phone via Bluetooth so I could make my first phone call. By the time I drove off the lot, I knew my vehicle and all its safety features, and even had some radio stations on my favorites list. Hilton took care of me as a customer, and I've kept his business card so I can recommend him to all of my friends.

I had shopped around at a few other local dealers and had felt ignored and like I was being over charged. I ended up with top of the line in the class of vehicle for less than what other dealers quoted me. They got me what I wanted PLUS Extra features. They were honest, professional and clearly care about their customers. Love my CX-5 and would absolutely buy my next car from them as well.

oil change/tire rotation

Appointment To Review Features of New Car

Hilton Young is an excellent salesman. He is extremely patient, very professional and knows every feature of my car. While he explained the features during my sales process, I did not retain the details. I especially appreciate that he is easy to contact and allowed me to make an appointment for a 1 on 1 review. While the information is in the manual, Hilton has a hands on approach of teaching whilch is better than just reading. Now I am more comfortable with my new car. He assured me if I need another review I can contact him again. If you are looking to purchase a Mazda, Jim Ellis of Marietta is your place and Hilton Young is your contact. Not high pressured just friendly, professional and patient.

Knowledgeable Salespeople Who are not too Pushy

Our experience at Jim Ellis was wonderful. The service is truly 5 stars. Their salespeople are genuinely friendly and are extremely knowledgeable on their vehicles. We worked with Mike Fresquez who answered every question and more. He followed up, but made sure it was on the our requested schedule. He was patient and took our time with us, as the decision was a tough one to make. We really appreciated this. The salespeople also were not pushy at all, and tastefully did not bash their competitors. They were willing to negotiate price, and went above and beyond to make the car buying process (and service visits afterwards) simple and enjoyable. My only complaint is that I feel that we could have received a better interest rate. It seemed that they were advertising a close to 0 rate, however we were told the lowest they could lock in was around 2.5%. Other than that, I highly recommend buying a car from these good people!

Eddie will take care of you

The service department is slammed with recalls, service and an all around holiday rush. Eddie treats every customer with patience and helps you with the issues you have. Super busy but he is a straight shooter and I appreciate that.

Expect to be kept waiting for service.

Even with an appointment I waited for close 2.5 hours (in a the door at 11:30 am and out at 2:45-3 pm) for my car to have a 5k service done. Pretty much a basic oil change and tire rotation with a couple of other random checks. For someone with an appointment, which I made almost 3 weeks in advance mind you, that seems a bit on the high side as I have done walk-in services at this specific dealership at just about the same time of day and same day of the week and been out in about an hour or less. So take away from that what you will. Granted, I do not know whether they overly busy due to it being so close to the holiday traveling season (12/20), and this was my complimentary first service on this leased vehicle from this dealership. In the future I will probably be going to a place that values my time a little more. Given this experience, I could not justify paying for a simple service like this only to be kept waiting for what seems, to me at least, to be an inordinate amount of time.

Repairs to car not done, still have problems

Have taken our 2012 CX 9 in for services and had great service. However, brought in for air bag recall and problem where car was stalling at stop lights. That problem still,persists. Call ed dealership on Monday morning to see about bringing back. After two calls left messages. Spoke to service advisor and he was extremely helpful in setting time to bring car back in. Service advisor has always done an outstanding job and has been great to work with. Reason we return to him for all services.

I have beeen a customer of this dealership for several years. I have purchased several new cars from them because #1, MAZDA makes great cars and also #1, the entire service team has made quality customer care a priority. I have never had a reason to go somewhere else for service.
