Dealership got a great face lift, same great service

The new dealership is finally nearly complete and the new waiting area is gorgeous, which makes it easier to wait when the service being performed is more than just oil change. If there is any complaint, I wish I was informed more about the services to be performed AND if there is any alternative (waiting till next maintenance period, performing the same service elsewhere for $XX.XX, etc.). I can't help but feeling like I'm being taken advantage of when I have to pay hundreds of dollars for services that I can't compare prices with other alternatives. Also, the tire pressure light came on the day after the maintenance service, but ambient temperature did drop drastically overnight so I wouldn't hold that against the dealership.

Customer Service and Wait Time

Customer service is very good. However one waits too long to have a simple oil change done. I my case, a minimum of 2 hours each time I go for an oil change (5 times in the past 2.5 years). Also, it can be a bit frustrating calling in to schedule a service. 9 out of 10 times you get a voicemail, not a live person. Messages left are never returned. The dealership may want to improve that.

Repair of sporadic starting issue

After taking the problem to a different dealer without a permanent fix, Jim Ellis listened to my assessment, correctly identified and repaired the issue. They also communicated progress in a timely manner. Excellent service!

Warranty Satisfaction

Eddie Goines is one of the best Mazda of Marrietta Service Advisors I have ever come across. I am thankful that he advised purchasing genuine Mazda parts, namely a battery when I thought I could get a better price elsewhere, he explained that may be true, but we have the best Warranty. I have found out that they do and well worth the purchase with complete warranty satisfaction.

Great Sales Experience

Jackie B. and Bill S. were a treat to work with and were knowledgeable and engaging, without pressure. I communicated with Jackie for 2 wks (while doing research), prior to ever meeting at the dealership. She was professional, knowledgeable and insightful re: what I was seeking. I was referred to Bill on the day of the purchase, since she was off, and he was equally as engaging and informed. I hit the jackpot in dealing with them both. Bill provided on site info. and 'in the car training' far beyond what I'd expected. It was the first painless car purchasing experience I've had in over 30 years.

Oil change plus

Eddie received me at the service department by name. He explained what they would be doing during the service. I had originally asked to have my brake pads done as well as the oil change. Eddie came to me and explained that I really didn’t need that service but could do another service that was needed. I appreciated his candor. I would recommend Jim Ellis Mazda and Eddie.

Prompt and professional service!

I came in for a simple issue but was immediately worked into the schedule (with no appointment) and given a loaner to allow me to be on my way. I was kept I formed of the status of my car daily and it was returned to me a few days later in perfect working order! Great service all the way around!

Mike Fresquez is why I have a NEW CAR!

Of course, everybody is always wary when it comes to dealing with car salesman. I sure dreaded about the thought of walking in and test driving a car thinking that they might pressure me to make a purchase. That was not the case at all... It all started when I sent a message through CarGuru and Mike Fresquez replied. When I was at the location, he was there with the car ready and hardly a wait. He was very thorough with the features of the interior and exterior of the car. During the test drive, we talked about the car and then because we were stuck in traffic due to heavy road constructions, his personable personality made the horrible traffic less noticeable. I knew that he wasn't after the sale when he was ready to bid us goodbye and looked surprised when we said "Let's talk." That showed me that he just love his job and treats everybody like their VIP. I was still teeter tottering with a car from Lexus and INFINITI (both I've test drove prior to this) before this Mazda test drive. I don't know if it's the combination of the awesome test drive and Mike but I made the purchase right there and then. I NOW have a beautiful brand new RF that is turning heads everywhere. Thank you Jim Ellis of Marietta and a big thousand thanks to Mike!
