First first time Honda owner.

Being that it was a used Honda and my first time owning a Honda I needed some assistance with all the wonderful perks this vehicle had to offer. Even though I did not purchase from Kamloops Honda they went above and beyond the call just to make me feel comfortable with my CR-V. I look forward to having Kamloops Honda as my Dealership! I love my Honda even more now that I know I have Sam and Mark on my team!

Untrustworthy Dealership

It's sad that our local dealership is so untrustworthy because the Honda brand is the opposite and they make some of the best vehicles out there. That being said, after how my family was treated by the dealership, and how a few of my friends who I talked to afterward have been treated, I would tell anyone who is interested in a Honda vehicle to buy 2nd hand or take a drive and go to a dealership in another town. My elderly parents were manipulated by the fast talking "salesperson" and definitely got duped into downgrading their vehicle for a substantial loss. After that horrible experience I talked to a friend and he mentioned a disrespectful encounter with them when he was trying to trade in a low KM Honda Fit for a better deal on a SUV and their prices were out by 7k. A person is always going to get less by trading in then by selling on their own but 7k loss on a vehicle that is only worth 16k is unacceptable. Furthermore the way they treated him was even worse. Shop elsewhere and save yourself $$$ and emotional turmoil.

Just had my tires retorqued and honestly, the guys there couldn't be friendlier if they tried. Every time I go in they teach me something about my new Honda Fit. I have had nothing but great service. From Don Fleming to Sam Charvet and the booking team, I totally recommend them Thanks!

Dropped the ball

Scott Teale, (service manager) failed to reply to my calls and emails regarding a warranty service issue with my Honda Pilot. Honda Canada had been helping me resolve the issue and passed it off to him to discuss in further detail, and he outright ignored me (last called him 2 months now). That being said, prior to this experience, Kamloops Honda had always been good to me, and I'd been a customer of theirs off and on for about 15 years. It's too bad that this one experience has ruined my relationship with them, but that's how it is.

When we got our Honda, we really enjoyed the experience and one of the reasons we went to Honda is because we heard their service was terrific. I have to admit, I have had difficulty with other dealerships in town when it comes to repair. HONDA IS THE BEST BY FAR!! They stand by their product and even tell you when something is a warranty issue. The people are friendly and respectful, the courtesy driver is accommodating and the vehicles are quality products. Poor dealership

This dealership does not take pride in taking care of their customers. The sales team never seems interested in selling you a car when you walk into the show room. The parts people definitely never rush to the counter to serve you. And the Service dept just seems to want to push you out the door. Don't waste your time or hard earned money with this dealership.

Stay away from Kamloops Honda

Went in to have some warranty work done. First two visits for the same issue the service team seemed to try to resolve the issue. Brought my Honda back in for the third time for the same issue. They drove it for 15 min and told me the could not replicate the sound, therefore, they couldn't do anything because apparently the couldn't hear the noise. Car made the sound immediately as soon as I drove it off the lot. Bring the car back in for the fourth time regarding the same issue, and again they drive it for fifteen minutes and then call me and say they couldn't replicate the sound and give me the keys back... Not impressed. Another instance... I ordered winter tires from them and they never called me saying that they arrived. After two weeks from them being ordered I had to call them to find out if they had arrived. And they made me pay upfront for them. Same thing happened when I order the genuine Honda mats. Wanted to have a few trim pieces replaced. Which they said "No problem, we will order them and give you a call when they come in to schedule a time". After a couple weeks I end up having to call them to find out if they have come in and make an appointment. Another instance, took the service manager for a drive in my car to address my concern. He spends the whole time chatting in the passenger seat instead of taking the time to listen to what the vehicle is doing. On the second drive with the service manager Scott, he was on his cellphone and not paying attention. As well, you can email the service manager and he will not take the time to reply. I allowed this dealership to replace a trim piece on the dash. However, after playing phone tag to track them down to know if the part came in, their technicians did the repair. Sadly, I now have some large gouges and scratches in my centre console, which I am not happy about since it is a brand new vehicle. Of course, none of the staff at this dealership care about this matter. I am very dissatisfied with this dealership. The service department does not care and tries to push you out the door. Clearly, the only thing that the service department is good for is changing the oil. I will not return to this dealership for any future service needs or ever buy a vehicle from them. They do not deserve my business. I would not recommend any one deal with them.

saved 3500 driving out to the coast... asked them to match, they said it was too low. no competition in the interior .. shop smarter, get more for your money. I Recommend going to a volume dealer like Westcoast Honda or Pacific Honda.

Bought used 2009 Fit

When I call Kamloops Honda I talked to Troy and he said they didn't have one in stock and that he would call me when a suitable match came in.2 week later it did and I even got a big discount.Troy showed me how everthing worked and when to service it.I tell all my friends to go see Troy at Kamloops Honda

My family owns Hondas! 3 generations of CRVs (love them ,my cars that is) SOOO when we buy our third a beautiful BLACK AND TAN LOADED CRV, we paid a fair market price. Purchased a HONDA PLUS WARRANTY from Christen, a kind looking soft spoken finance guy who said "ALL YOU HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IS TIRES, OIL, AND BRAKES FOR 3 Years" for a good dollar. We go home to file all the papers away and notice documents don't match, it was the MILAGE on the warranty(72249km), vehicle purchase agreement(73349km), and the vehicle itself (78635km) and in registering and insuring it was documented as in the purchase agreement. Now I go back to the(smile factory) KAMLOOPS HONDA and ask if this can be rectified "BUT OF COURSE" we'll send it off and you should be receiving new docs. soon... still waiting. 3 months and short bit later battery dies, we take it to the Dealer( where according to these guys who apparently cant write numbers down but still able to count the take each night from those who believe that HONDA is one of the car dealers who take pride and have ethics to respect) and they want to charge my wife almost $200 for a battery and charging system diagnostic WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????? AND SCOTT (The Sales Manager) there's a apiece of work, he exuded slime! Our bill was discounted to "COST" and the labour taken off, by a woman (didn't get her name) but am very thankful to! The following day, the other Sales Manager Calvin, leaves a message advising they would like to give us our money back......ARGGGHHHH

What is a engine filter? every other dealership calls it...

What is a engine filter? every other dealership calls it an air filter! at Honda changing the engine filter( air filter) costs $100! Also changing the cabin filter costs $100! These filter can be changed yourself for a price of around $20 First appointment of the day for an oil change. 2 hours later we got our car back and are told that the reason it took so long was because we were the first appointment. Maybe they should have told us before we booked the first appointment that it would take all day! our next oil change we took our car to a 10 minute place and will never go back to Honda for a oil change! Could write more but I already wasted too much time at Honda they will not get any more of my time!

The sales experience with both of my Honda purchases have been excellent and a pleasure to deal with both salesman. It was always a no pressure environment and we were always treated well and had any and all questions answered. Pricing is on par with the other dealerships around Kamloops and although the accessories seem to be a little high on the price side most genuine Honda accessories are rather steep in price. I am on my second Honda Civic from Kamloops Honda and I have had nothing buy excellent experiences with them at every visit. I have owned a 2008 Honda Civic LX-SR and now a 2012 Honda Civic EX. Any warranty work is don't quickly and with no hassle provided parts are available. The odd time they have to bring parts in from out of town but that is hardly an inconvenience or the dealerships fault as they can't stock every part. They have gone above and beyond on a few occasions for me and my wife including supplying us with parts and or installation free of charge because we purchased the car at this dealership. I never have any trouble getting an appointment and the work done while the vehicle is in is always quick and well done. Some of the service work is high priced but most dealerships have similar pricing and if you can do the work yourself or take it to an independent shop you may save some money, but extended warranty is very much your friend in this area.

I just recently purchased a 2012 Honda Civic. I found the whole sales experience to be a very positive. The purchase of the vehicle was one with no glitches or hidden costs, Sometimes those come up at the end and that's a pet peeve of mine, but not at Kamloop Honda I also was pleased at the sales staff for all the help in the purchasing process and afterwards. I received assistance for all my concerns and questions. I received calls inquiring if everything was ok with the vehicle after the purchase. I love how great the Civic is on gas and the comments he gets about it's good looks. I would not hesitate to recommend Kamloops Honda to my friends and customers.

GET SECOND OPINION BEFORE SETTING THIS SHOP LOOSE ON ANY REPAIR! Try independent shops to save a lot of time and money

Our 07 Odyssey (67,000 kms) rear wheels bearings just...

Our 07 Odyssey (67,000 kms) rear wheels bearings just got noisy on a road trip. We pulled in to Kamloops Honda and after inspection Shane in Service said both rear wheel bearings needed replacing and they are covered under the powertrain warranty, except they did not have the parts in stock and it was a holiday weekend. He said it should be okay for the ride home and get it repaired at our local Honda dealer. There was no charge for the inspection and everyone at Kamloops Honda service department was great to deal with. Thanks!
