Dont buy kanata honda

Here is my review of Kanata Honda. Dont buy kanata honda! With all my years of owning and purchasing vehicles I've never had such a bad experience as I have had with Kanata Honda. Very recently myself and a friend both purchased 2018 Honda Crv's at Kanata Honda. With a few months separating us we both ended up with the same issues. One of the main issues my friend has had with his new CRV was the damage caused to gauge cluster by the prep team. The individual used a sandy rag to wipe it and caused permanent damage to the part. Once the sun hits the dash the speedometer is almost not visible. The issue was brought up to Kanata Honda but was told that it was no longer their issue since some time had passed since the vehicle was driven off. I ended up purchasing my 2018 Honda Crv there from a Mrs Joey Kostova. This individual had very little knowledge of the product. 1) The final cost was greater than expected. I pay 1000 dollard over competition after research .That my fault i should did my homework.Meaning that you can buy it anywhere else with better price. 2) They want you to sign the contract prior to inspecting the vehicle. Leaving you with a ding and damaged new car. Being warned prior by my friend I insisted that I inspect the vehicle before I agreed to anything. When I inspected the car it had one scratch on the bumper, a few rock chips on the side (very upsetting on a brand new car still at the dealership and it requires the use of a paint pen) and the cluster gauge was scratched. Seems like they used the same sandy rag. Moving on to finance. Once I proceed to signing the paperwork I told the Finance Manager a Mr Tom Nash that I wanted the payment on a certain day and when I signed the date was not the one I mentioned. It just seems to me that they didn't really care all that much and just wanted to get me out of the dealership. Picking up my new car. I asked Mrs Joey Kostova that I needed to pick the vehicle up on a Friday and was told by her that it wouldn't be possible due to her having a day off. It just seemed yet again very unprofessional to me. After some back and forth I was able to pick up the car on that Saturday. A major ongoing issue is my scratched gauge cluster. After refusing to sign for the car until the part was replaced Kanata Honda finally agreed to change the part. But sadly the replacement part was also factory damaged and the technician left a bunch of fingerprints on the inside of the screen. Making it impossible for me to clean it.even after show to the sale manager (Terry Hum)that agree of the scratch he let me go say should be a probleme lol brand new car Me and my friend bolt end to another honda dealer to fix those scratch at are own expence lol new car I will finish off this review with my suggestion to avoid Kanata Honda and purchase / maintain your vehicle at another Honda Dealership.

Joey is the best sales representative I have ever seen. She is so friendly but not too pushy, explains every details and helps you. I strongly reccomend everybody to go and purchase a Honda from Honda/Kanata, Joey.

Great until things go wrong

They did a faulty installation of a rubber door seal and it was never fixed because the dealership was more difficult to deal with than an insurance company. I emailed the general manager based on these reviews but he couldn’t be bothered to respond.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Had dispute but we resolved it

Big misunderstandings on work to be done. They did work for 1600, i only needed work for 200. Stuff happens. Was difficult fro Charles and Erold to get my perspective at first but after reasonable discussions we found a compromise. Good sign of flexibility and maturity.

Me an my CRV

I was in getting my 2015 CRV detailed and thought I would pop over to sales to see what’s new. I lease and had a few questions. A couple of days ago I drove away with my new 2018 CRV. Joey Kostova and Jimmy Tran were amazing. They made the experience truly pain free. I just sat back and everything was taken care of efficiently and fast. Thank you Kanata Honda

Buying a new car always makes me anxious but shopping for and purchasing my Honda CR-V LX AWD from Kanata Honda could not have been more uncomplicated and enjoyable. I got the price and features that I wanted. Sales and leasing consultant Cory Besharah was very patient with this old guy asking about all the high tech features and walked me through how to program the vehicle to perform to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to buy a Honda product to visit this dealership since they sell more than just cars.

Just wanted to say that we just purchased our second honda. The last one was in its 10th year, was running great and had over 375,000 km. The civic never let us down , just thought it was time for change. This is where Tom came in to the picture, he was always friendly and approachable. We had corresponded with him through emails and often in person. He was an asset in helping us make that decision....and we are very pleased with his attention to detail... Terrible service and didn't honor the conditions of sale

Had terrible service. Had to wait over an hour to meet with someone, even though we made an appointment. The car was not ready the day we were told it would be and we had to come back a second time. Also there was a condition of sale that a side door be fixed and they did not fix it. When we came to pick it up and the problem was still there they said it was fine and we couldn't do anything about it now because we had already signed the paperwork. I contacted the manager, Peter Fu, twice and he has never replied to my concerns. I would never return to Kanata Honda or I would never recommend anyone shop there. We had much more pleasant experiences with other dealerships while looking for a van.

Paint peeling off 2013 Honda Pilot for the 2nd time...

Bought my 2013 Honda Pilot new in 2013, and after 2 years, a section of paint on my roof came off just above the windshield. Kanata Honda had the roof repainted, and said that this rarely happens, and could be defective elsewhere on my vehicle. I was told that any future issues relating to the paint peeling off the same way, would be covered. Fast forward 2 years later, and the same issue has come up on my hood, but they won't cover it because it falls out of warranty. Despite this being a repeat issue, and of course, there is no record of Kanata Honda saying they would take care of this should it happen again. They were nice enough to quote me $1200 to have it repaired. (Note sarcasm) Customer service isn't what it was, and I won't be buying another vehicle from Kanata Honda. This is my 2nd vehicle, and will be my last. Sending this to Honda Canada, and OMVIC...

Careless for their customers

Purchased used car 5 months ago and passed only 5500 km. I brought my car to another dealer to do winter tire change and they found out that my engine oil leaks!!! According to them that's not possible to have leak like that in just 5500 km what means Honda Kanata management was aware of that problem before they sold car to me, unlucky customer. Yesterday I went there to ask some questions, I am aware it's my mistake because I trusted them and didn't check car with my mechanic, but nothing but rude explanation from USED CAR MANAGER, that they have warranty for one month for used cars. Before I went to buy this car I checked reviews and I can't believe they are right, because they are totally different than body language of the personal I spoke too. Very disappointed, make sure when you buy used car, probably from any dealership, have your personality mechanics to do the right check. Darl

Getting a new car can be stressful and our sales agent Michael (Xin Bin) Kang was a pleasure to deal with over several visits as we reflected on our model choice and payment options. Even during the very busy model year change over period we never felt rushed. A second sales agent Chris Lysen pitched in with a demo ride as we learned about the Honda Sensing (Safety) features. The financial manager Jimmy Tang was comprehensive and congenial. The whole experience was pleasant and we are happy with a new 2018 Civic Sedan and would recommend any of these contacts and Kanata Honda. Sam & Marie

Oil change and change to winter tire

Two weeks ago made an appointment for 9:30 am this morning. Brought CRV in last night. Went in at 3:00 pm only to be told vehicle was not ready and would be at 5:00 pm. Service advisor called at home to tell me it wouldn’t be ready until later. Then offered a rescheduling for another day and 15% discount. Don’t understand why they have you schedule. Totally understand it’s a busy time of year but isn’t that why you schedule vehicles, to avoid the issues of being too busy. Makes me wonder if they care about the customer. Disappointed because I took the time to bring my CRV the night before and to borrow someone else’s vehicle. I guess the service advisor doesn’t think of that stuff and figures it’s easy for me just to reschedule and start again. I’ve had other vehicles from other dealers, have made many other maintenance appointments and have never been this disappointed. My first ever Honda, go figure.
