What A Pleasure!!

After two disappointing experiences at other Tri-State dealerships, I decided to try Karp Kia and risk a three-strikes-and-you’re-out scenario before considering my Plan B. The result was not only a home rub, but a virtual grand slam!! Not only did I find the exact car, color and options that I wanted (a fully-loaded 2018 Optima EX) already in stock, my sweetheart of a salesman (Matt Tylutki) patiently and courteously worked out a leasing deal that was fair to both parties. During the ( no pressure) process, the head of customer service (Ellen Karp) stopped by and reinforced her family’s commitment to customer satisfaction, as did Matt. All of this gave me a nice warm feeling after my earlier experience. Matt was very attentive to my need for a comprehensive test drive and my endless questions re the technology built into the 2018 Models. I think I spent a total of less than three hours spread over two days (with a couple of wrinkles on my end throw in, which Matt was able to help me smooth out very quickly). Bottom line: I was very satisfied with the entire experience, and have no hesitations recommending Karp Kia to both family and friends.

Came through in a clutch!

Julio and Frankie really took care of myself and my family when we were unsatisfied with another dealership. We came in with an 06 Volvo which was on the last thread of it's last leg and we had been pushing to get into a new Kia lease ASAP. We had started with another dealership on Tuesday and due to some mismanagement of paperwork and responsibilities the release of the car was looking to happen the following Monday, even on Saturday which we had impressed the importance to us of getting out of our current unsafe ride and into something new. Well, after we decided to look elsewhere we came across Karp and gave them a call. Very friendly and helpful. We spoke with Julio who checked our credit and told us they could match the monthly payment for the other dealership. Not only that they ended up lowering the price by about $10/mo! They got us in and out, took care of the paperwork and insurance transfer. All we had to do was go there and pick up the ride. Great service which I can recommend to anyone! They will take care of you.

I did not go there to be sold a car, but rather for me to buy a car, and they understood that, were great listeners, provided all the info and rides I needed, answered all my questions, and never tortured me to add anything on I didn't need. It was easy, simple, honest, straight-forward, and I was so pleased. This is how you deal with people. Great folks. Great dealership.

Wow! What an excellent experience. Michael is a true gentleman. He had patience for all of my questions, and then some.... Michael went out of his way to find the color and features that I had requested for my new 2018 Optima Ex and came back with a better deal than any other place. No nonsense, no high pressure tactics, no games. He made the process smooth and easy. I highly recommend Michael.

Purchase of a Used Jeep

Our experience with Frankie was very positive. My son was looking to purchase a used Jeep they had for sale. We looked at the car, took it for a test drive and decided to purchase it. Frankie gave us his cell # so we could be in touch with him regarding pick-up as the car had not been serviced prior to my son putting a deposit down on the car. The day we picked up the car and finalized the paperwork, we noticed a wire not being connected to the rear-view defroster - we notified Frankie of this finding and he assured us that service would be able to fix in the next day or so. We dropped the car off and notified them of the muffler making a loud sound......within a day and a half, Kia had fixed the rear defroster wire and corrected the issues with the muffler. My son is very pleased with the purchase of his first car and Frankie made this experience a very positive one....thank you!!!

Great Service even better people

last week i had to bring my 2011 Optima SX in for recall service which it passed and got free oil change. Since service took longer than expected they provided me a loaner for the day. After service was complete it was too late to pick up so they said they would leave car with sales and i can pick up next day. Since I was there I was looking at the 2018 Sorento SXL, which is gorgeous btw, and thought let me inquire so Audley Bullock the sales manager came over no pressure and ran some numbers. I had just paid off the lien on the 2011 and was really not looking but numbers were right in line with what i could afford so I went for it. The entire process was painless and quick and within 4 days everything was set so i traded in my car which i got just about KBB trade in value and drove off in my new fully loaded Sorento. Used half of trade in for down payment and will receive a check for difference. Couldn't be more happy and Audely was more than accommodating . Really great experience even as a returning customer and again didn't need it my 2011 was just fine but couldn't pass this up. I would STRONGLY reccommend visiting KARP dealership even if not in the market just to see what a great atmosphere. And btw KIA are great and gorgeous as I am already on my second and will continue to come back again and again both sales and service...great job KARP and Audley...KEEP IT UP!!!!!!!

NE PLUS ULTRA! MIchael Rosenberg rocks!

Not used to being treated so well ANYWHERE!. Visited Karp Kia several times and everybody greeted me with a smile. Michael Rosenberg is at the top of that list. He is true gentleman and a class act all the way! He all ways had time for me even when I told him I'm not buying today. When it was time, we set up an appointment. When the monthly payment for a purchase was something I could not afford, he suggested a lease. Never leased before as I drive a lot of miles. Found me a high-mileage 3-year lease that lowered my payment over $200/month! Gave me a fair price for my trade and a nice deduction off the lease. He was very reassuring the whole way saying I'll find you something you can live with and you're doing the right thing. Explained the pro's and cons of leasing very simply. NEVER felt I was being taken for a ride! Michael will be on YOUR side too!. The whole dealership is VERY clean and VERY quiet. Like the quiet most of all. It's calm in there. Who wants to make a major financial decision with music blasting in your head? Michael sent me a followup email the next day asking how my drive to work in my 2018 Optima was. What thoughtfulness! Michael is a true ambassador for the Karp Kia brand! He helped me with some paperwork tonight too - so the after-sale support is there. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Turned my frown upside down!

Making it Right

I had a very strange experience at Karp, which was expertly handled to conclusion by Ellen Karp. the GM (can't remember his name, but very professional) and Audley Bullock. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a Kia and ask to have Audley handle the Manager's final clearance. Matt T was also professional, but needed his manager's help to close this deal.

Amazing experience

I came to the Karp dealership to look at a Kia Optima and I was beyond impressed by Frankie Brus. He made me feel that my satisfaction was what he aimed for, and that I wasn't getting ripped off. I felt very comfortable with my experience with Mr. Brus. He took the time to get to know both my family and I and understand what it was I was looking for and what price range I was interested in. If I was uncertain or confused about something he explained every little detail to me and made sure we were both on the same page. He let me get a feel for the car and was 100 percent courteous and generous throughout the entire experience. He treated my family and I with the utmost respect, honesty and delivered what he said he would. I did not feel that he was ruthless at all, as stated in another comment on the site. I felt the complete opposite. I am so happy with my new Kia Optima and beyond appreciative and grateful of the experience I had at the Karp Kia dealership with Frankie Brus.

Don't Be Fooled By Initial Kindness

1.) While courteous and kind when we can to test-drive the vehicle, laying out the price and the fees when asked for, Frankie pressured us to buy the vehicle, claiming that someone else was coming to buy it. He pressured me into making a deposit over the phone and to pick up the car the next day. 2.) When my wife, infant daughter and I came to pick up the car, Frankie made us wait for 15 minutes, claiming that the vehicle was not back from cleaning. He then came to do the paperwork. 3.) Upon giving Frankie the check for the car, he noticed it was not the full amount. His demeanor immediately changed and he implored, "Why didn't you get me the full amount?!" When I said I was going to charge the $6000 he said "Company policy that we can only take $2000, $2500 max on charge." He said "When am I going to get my $$$$!" He had ZERO regard for me and my family nor for the fact that I'd have to take out another loan at 10% interest to pay for the rest of the car before the insurance company gave me a check. All he cared about was his $$$$. 4.) Of course when I came in the next day with the $$$$ Frankie was as nice as pie. He just cared about another car sale to his name. DON'T LET HIS INITIAL WARMTH FOOL YOU! He's just as greedy, slick and ruthless as the rest of the car salesmen. After posting this review I had a wonderful conversation with Ellen Karp. While I am maintaining the review to let people know of my experience i want you to know I heard excellent things about Karp Kia beforehand and have no doubt that this is not typical of how the company conducts business.
