A dealership that cares!

After extensive research, I found Kia the best place for my son's first car. DeMagio, Marcus, and Mr. Gene. They made my purchase of a 2018 kia Soul a wonderful experience. At one point, I thought I would not get a car, but DeMagio made it happen. My family walked out the door with two Kia Souls. Love you guys, and you just made a customer for life.

First car experience

Everyone is so friendly. Every person I walked by gave a smile & greeting. I came to kia country to get my very first car. I honestly didn't think I would walk out with a car. 2 people stood out the most & gave exemplary service. Demagio helped me pick out the perfect car for me. I had the choice between the kia soul, kia optima, & kia forte. Once i test drove the kia soul the other cars didn't matter. After Demagio helped me choose a white 2015 kia soul. After I signed some paper work I was introduced to a manager Marcus. He really gave me incredible advice on being a first car owner & broke down everything I need to know & what that entails. I have the upmost respect for these guys & hope to see them in the future when i purchase my 2nd car in the future.

Driving away from Kia Country Of Savannah in my new Kia Optima was a feeling I’ll never forget. My metallic bronze Kia is super stylish, super sleek and it’s an added bonus that I look really good in it. My panoramic roof allows for beautiful views for my daughter who I Chauffer around. It’s filled with bells and whistles that I’m still exploring. My salesman Brain was amazing. He was patient, knowledgeable and made my experience a wonderful one. He answered all of my questions and made me feel at home. If you’re looking to buy a new car, go see Brain, you won’t be disappointed.

Me. Brian Buxton has extra ordinary service. He greeted me with a smile and although i wasnt sure exactly what i wanted and asked many questions he answered all of them and was glad to assist me for hours on end. I probably took up a good portion of his day yet he was kind to me and very helpful to me. Even at times when i thought i wouldn’t be able to get this car he made sure to exhaust all options and he helped me leave in a beautiful car. I traveled the entire city of Savannah before i found him and i knew almost immediately he was the person i wanted to buy from. Brian was amazing and i recommend anyone who is looking for a car to check him out at Kia Country of Savannah

First new car

I'm 66 years old and I just bought my first New car! It was not as scary as I thought it would be. I was honored to have Elijah Tucker as my salesman. he was so nice to work with. Elijah answered all the questions I asked and explained a lot things to me. He was so helpful and listened to what I wanted and needed. Everyone on staff were very friendly

Damaged the car and refused to fix it

Worst service and worst customer service of all times. I had a terrible and frustrating experience with the Kia service department and its manager: Mike. Just before Christmas I had four tires replaced on my 2011 Sedona from a local tire shop (not Kia). They immediately raised the flag that one rear brake caliper was missing BOTH securing bolts. This allowed the caliper to move into the wheel rim and get grooved/damaged. According to the car maintenance records I had on file, the only 2 previous visits were at the Kia dealer. The first, less than 12 months before, where they replaced the brake pads and worked the rotors, the last in July for routine maintenance were they checked the brake pads and rotated the tires, so they stated. It is fairly clear that the mistake (bolts not installed) was done during either one of these 2 maintenance visits. Even worse if it was done last year and got completely undetected during the most recent one. In good faith I explained the issue to Mike, service manager, he told me he needed to check with the GM Jeff and get back to me the next day. He never returned the call and only after several attempts I was able to reach him. He told me that he and Jeff cannot do anything because the first visit was too long ago and could not be considered an issue due to the amount of time past. I explained that the caliper may no longer be structurally sound and that it does not matter if it happened 5 or 12 months ago, it is still their fault. Note that the work was still under warranty for both services (12 months) They were faced with an evident mistake that jeopardized the car braking system and endangered the safety of my family. If nothing happened is just for a chance, not an indication that there is not a problem. This is what you get when you deal with sloppiness and blatant incompetence.

VERY disappointed . . .

I spent 5 1/2 hours at KIA Country of Savannah this morning to have some work done on my 2015 KIA Sorento. 1. Oil change 2. Replace a burned our dome light 3. Fix a headlight that wasn't working properly 4. Fix an issue with my trunk not opening properly 5. Check on an issue with my transmission. After 5 1/2 hours, I had an oil change. The dome light . . . no bulb in stock. The head light . . . replaced bulb, didn't solve the problem, and then was told I would need a new headlight assembly unit . . . $943.83! For a headlight. So now I'm driving my car with a headlight that doesn't work properly and is dangerous. PLUS, they left the cover off the back of the headlight assembly under the hood. Will have to go back and get that. Turns out there was no problem with my trunk, just a metal strip that was on my bumper that had come loose and was hitting the trunk lid. Had this same problem two years ago and it was fixed at no cost. The 4" of loose metal could have been glued down and fixed. They "didn't have the correct adhesive to do this correctly", so I needed a new strip. $258.00. And according to KIA Country of Savannah, the technician and service manager drove my car and couldn't identify any problem with my transmission. I drive this car every day and I know when something is not correct. So I went to an auto parts store and bought a $2.00 light bulb for the dome. Fixed myself. Also bought a $6.00 tube of glue, and fixed my bumper strip. As for the headlight, I have absolutely no doubt I will be able to get this fixed somewhere else for A LOT less than $1000. As for the transmission, I guess I'll have to wait until something goes seriously wrong with it and then spend what it takes to get it fixed. I ASSURE YOU, IT WILL NOT BE FIXED AT KIA COUNTRY OF SAVANNAH. They have received the last dime I will ever spend at their dealership. I get asked all the time about my KIA and have always had nothing but rave reviews for my vehicle. But KIA Country of Savannah seems to have developed the attitude (since my lease expired) that if you're in there to have work done, then they are going to take advantage of the situation. 5 1/2 hours and I got an oil change. Fixed two of the problems myself when I got home for $8.50. I know this review will probably never make it to their website, but I'm posting it any way. I will also post this review any other place I have the opportunity, and tell everyone I know. KIA Country of Savannah . . . you have lost this customer. Howard Barrett

Above and beyond

We had went to Savannah to look at cars at a few dealerships. Starting at Kia Country. Joe Yates approached us and he wound up being friendly, laid back and not pushy. He answered our questions promptly. That's why we came back later to buy a newer featured Kia Soul recently. Joe was more than helpful again. There was a misunderstanding about what we wanted and Joe worked with the Sales Manager Jordan Sinsuat to work this out. A fine example of making the customer happy. Getting oil changes and routing maintenance at the service center couldn't be any easier with friendly staff. I highly recommend seeing Joe and the crew for your next vehicle.

Unprofessional practices and lies

I would give them 0 stars if possible. My husband and I were in the dealership late Saturday afternoon looking at a Kia Soul. We stayed after hours at the urging of our salesman Carl Murray. He assured us that the "deal" was given a thumbs up, and even encouraged my husband to take the Soul for a drive. After about an hour of waiting we were then told that the banks were closed and that the "final" deal (meaning the numbers) would be worked out on Jan 1. Before we left, Carl had my husband sign all the paperwork on the deal except for the contract with the final numbers. He let us know that he needed my husband's DD214 to get his disabled veteran tags transferred over. To which, we emailed him my husband's DD214. Carl assured us that he would call us promptly at 10:00 am Monday morning. We never received a call. After my husband was able to call and talk to upper management only then did we get a call from Carl. He told my husband that they were having a hard time getting in touch with the banks, and that they were "all going home for the day." Once again, he assured my husband that he would hear from him on Tuesday (Jan 2) regarding "getting the deal done." Tuesday rolls around, and we hear nothing from. My husband and myself called and called to no avail. Finally my husband spoke to Jordon, who was clueless and told my husband that he "came in late" and wasn't sure what was happening with the deal. We spent a afternoon of back and forth with Jordon who was useless in figuring out what happened to our "thumbs up" deal that was in place on Saturday. The end result, Carl claimed that he was "waiting to hear" about the status of the deal which in fact was a lie. He nor his management had enough courtesy or morals to be forthcoming with us, and admit that they dropped the ball. When they were called out about their poor business practices they wanted to continue to pass the blame between each other with no one person standing up to take ownership of the poor customer service offered.
