Always taken care of here. Accommodating, kind and just an amazing crew! Engine recall was taken care of fast, they are always accommodating to my last minute needs when something goes sideways (since it always does with my luck). PS. the extended warranty has always saved my butt so I will never say it is a bad idea if buying a Certified Pre-Owned Kia

Taken Advantage Of

A couple weeks ago I had to have my car towed there as it was making a "clunking" noise and I was concerned about driving it as I live four hours away. I was told by service that the front rotors were very very rusty and needed to be replaced at a cost of $510.00 dollars. I asked if I could drive with the old rotors so I could take my car to the Kia Dealership where I live and was told NO. As I was afraid to drive back to where I live I felt I had no choice but to have rotors replaced. When I was called that car was "fixed" I asked for the old rotors. Upon my return to where I live I went to the Kia Dealership where I live and showed the service department the old rotors and they said there was nothing wrong with them and did not need to be replaced. I have never felt so disgusted and ripped off with a dealership as this one. I will never recommend or go near this place again. They will tell you your vehicle needs work when it doesn't. Dealership does not even deserve a rating of any kind.

Very aggressive and never wrong

Kris told me that he recorded me saying we have a deal and that I will not get my $2000 DEPOSIT BACK, the fact that they record conversations and try to use that against you is disturbing I then was told that I stole the car and changed the deal, they have now told me that they will not service my vehicle if it needs warranty this right from the owner, please be carfull if buying a vehicle at Kia West, they are great until you give them your money,then every thing changes if you have a concern

PURCHASED A KIA RIO. 5 DOOR...2019...CAME HOME TO FIND 2018 SHOWROOM CAR WITH AD ..SAID 3500 OFF MANAGER SPECIAL....$22530..MINUS 3500...CANCELED THE FIRST DEAL..PROCEEDED TO BUY SHOWROOM CAR.... TOLD THAT IS A CASH ONLY .....MY DEAL ON PAPER HAD 3000 REBATE...BUT WAS NEVER TAKEN OFF TOTAL PRICE...PRICEY AD ONS.....ETC...SECOND DEAL NEVER EXPLAINED TO ME....MY BAD..SHOULD TOOK TIME TO READ ALL....499 FOR WHEELS AND RIMS...WHICH ARE ALREADY ON CAR AS UPPER MODEL...3M..1500...TOTAL RIP OFF...AND I CAN GO ON AND ON...WATCH YOUR WALLET!!...NEVER SEEN SALES PERSON TILL PICKED UP CAR ...PAID WAY TOO MUCH....BUT ON A HIGH NOTE...GREAT LITTLE CAR...DEALER SUCKS...

Dealership lacks integrity

I initially inquired on the purchase of a used vehicle from Kia West Edmonton via their website www.kiawestedmonton.com on May 8, 2019. Mark Jones the Sales Manager corresponded with me via email until May 13, 2019, and then he forwarded me to correspond with Sheldon Dimma the Senior Finance Manager. This correspondence was active until May 25, 2019 when Sheldon talked with his 2 sales managers via phone, and then refused to refund the money I was coerced into putting down before they would deliver it to me. They did not specify clearly if it was a down payment or a deposit. Sheldon demanded an immediate e-transfer to his personal account immediately, as the account manager for the dealership was gone for the day & all weekend. The sales agreement was not accepted by their financing company Axis Auto Finance because I used electronic signatures. Sheldon Dimma was sending out 15 pages of contracts for me to sign with his driver/salesperson Chris on May 25, 2019. At this point, Sheldon still refused to explain what all the additional fees on the price of the car were for; the fees from the finance company; why my agreed upon price with Mark Jones was higher to purchase their car, and why my appraisal for trade-in of mine was now lower. Sheldon never mentioned what their refund policy was. He always deferred to Mark Jones the sales manager, who has not replied to my inquiries. When the car arrived very late on May 25, 2019 here in Kelowna BC, it was grossly misrepresented in regards to its appearance. Also, after test driving it for the first time, mechanical issues were now prevalent. The pictures & description on their website are very misleading. They misrepresented the condition of their vehicle. Severe salt & rust damage on the body: engine: and undercarriage on the 2011 Dodge Charger. Metallic grinding noises when accelerating, very dirty interior; not registered under their dealership name; coerced one of their salespeople to drive the car to my home while driving with an illegally registered vehicle & no insurance. BC refused to insure because it was not registered to their dealership name; had tinted front windows & no front license plate holder which is illegal here in BC. None of this was disclosed before attempting to purchase. Sheldon also sent me a fake vehicle inspection supposedly done at their dealership, that was not accepted by an ICBC insurance agent. Sheldon Dimma & Mark Jones lied about the price; financing terms; and evaded all questions about refunds. Sheldon Dimma & Mark Jones have stolen my $5250 I was coerced to pay via e-transfer to Sheldon's personal account because he claimed their account manager was gone for the weekend. Now, after I refused to take their unsafe & severely damaged vehicle, they won't refund my money and ignore all my attempts at contact. I am a person with disabilities, and they have stolen my life savings and have caused me more health problems. I am now in the process of filing a formal complaint here with AMVIC & then CBC News Go Public. Legal counsel will be retained if necessary.

Buyer Beware

My experience with them: - Vehicle prices and accessories not posted or discussed on any cars in their dealership - Trade in value promised then changed on final sales invoice, as well as interest rate quoted - Promised several things by the sales rep, then they were removed from her quote post-it notes - Sales rep quoted price, interest rate and loan payout included, totally different from bill of sale - Promised 3 times, painted black rims on pickup, not done - Promised free oil changes for life, nothing shown on bill of sale - Told I had to pay a deposit on just the purchase offer alone, even with a trade in vehicle - Trade in value and interested rate, changed 3 times, to a higher amount, then reduced on BoS - Finance guy added several things, barely discussed, price not given or shown - Bill of Sale not discussed line by line, lots of extra costs added - Charged $499.00 just to write up and handle the sale paperwork, for about 30 minutes work if that - Outrageously charged for fabric protection, 3M hood chip plastic film, undercoating & paint sealer - No warranty given or shown, other than the obvious hood plastic film - No proof that it was even done, charged over $4K (a can of Scotch Guard fabric spray is $14,00.) - No warranty certificates given on extra items paid for - Supposed to get KIA rewards card, not given - About 10 minutes spent going over the car details on pickup - No warranty information given - Total lack of sales knowledge on what the new car even came with to begin with - Wanted my old car back, wanted the deal canceled wrote 3 people totally ignored - Wrote KIA Canada, they wrote back they basically have no control over franchise dealerships - Wrote on line review, the president claimed he would not accept anything less than an A+ review - That looks and sounds very impressive, but means nothing - Mission One is to get your signature on a bill of sale, then get you out the door. - Do not sign anything until you thoroughly understand your consumer rights and the sale details - They asked me to give them a 5 Star review...

Exceptional service for an out-of-province traveler.

On February 19th we stopped at the KIA Dealership in Edmonton with a request for immediate assistance with a couple of issues that had arisen suddenly with our Sportage. There was urgency from our perspective since we would be driving from Edmonton to Moose Jaw with our young grandchildren (3 and 5) the next day in extremely cold temperatures. Natasha was very courteous and accommodating in getting our vehicle in and promptly dealing with our issues. In addition she also dealt with a recall notice that had been issued recently. Excellent service is always appreciated, but especially under the circumstances.

Staff threatens when customer has concerns

I have had ongoing issues since I purchased a Kia Sorrento from Kia West Edmonton regarding a mat for the hatch of my new Sorrento that I did not receive. Since then I have not been contacted by Kia West Edmonton with efforts to resolve this issue. I have left phone messages and emails to Mr. Ricci and his son’s and have had no reply. On January 8, 2019 I went to Kia West Edmonton to get the first oil change in my new Sorrento. At this time I went into the sales area to ask about the above issue and talk to one of the Ricci’s. While I was waiting a salesperson from Kia West Edmonton approached me to inform me that the back hatch mat would not be included. When purchasing our Sorrento the mats were to be included but it was a verbal agreement. I was never told that the hatch mat would not be included until after the sale was completed and I had possession of my new vehicle. The sales person also told me that I was to not contact Kia Canada again and if I did Kia West Edmonton would charge me. I had requested to speak with one of the owners. I had observed that Mr. Ricci and sons were in the building. I was told repeatedly to wait as they were all busy. I waited over one hour to speak with Mr. Ricci and was eventually told by the receptionist that he would not speak to me and I was handed a business card. This card was a lawyer’s card. At this point I was again threatened that any contact with Kia Canada or any social media posts was not advisable. I consider what Kia West Edmonton did as a threat and their sales/customer service unethical. The lack of professionalism and integrity within Kia West Edmonton is appalling. I will not be threatened by a company that has such little regard for honesty and customer service. If you want to buy a Kia do not buy it at Kia West Edmonton.

In December I was looking to purchase a vehicle. My son suggested Kia West Edmonton as he had previously purchased a Sorento and was very happy with his purchase. The salesman, Tom Braid, was very helpful and knowledgeable and took the extra time to help me choose a Forte 5 that I would be happy with and fit all my requirements. Not only would I recommend Kia West Edmonton but I would definitely recommend Tom Braid to assist in the purchase of a vehicle. If in the future I am in the need of another vehicle I will return to Kia West Edmonton. B. Hatfield
