Bait and switch

By Chaotic Neutral on 3/10/2019 at 1:08 AM. Helped by Jay.

Negotiated most of the deal, was ready to make the transaction, then finance manager demanded a huge payment that had never been discussed and abruptly killed the deal when I said no. Unprofessional, sloppy and dishonest.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Unprofessional, Rude once you give them your business

By Kathy on 6/25/2018 at 9:47 PM. Helped by Alex Tsai.

WARNING: save yourself the stress and headache! Go elsewhere! Horrible customer service, they never answer the phone! I am in the process of buying my car but now that they have my $1000 down payment they don't answer my calls or call me back. It's a horrible experience! Originally Alex Tsai was helping me with my purchase but he became very unprofessional and rude which is how I began dealing with the general manager to finish this deal. Now he won't even return my calls! I've left several "messages" for him with the receptionist and nothing. Plus his voicemail is full! I'm starting to feel that this is all a scam being that it's been 2 weeks and nothing! I don't even have the car in my possession! So whoever is reading this, you are warned! Be careful before giving them your business.

I would not recommend this dealer.

KIA''s POOR AND SLOW CUSTOMER SERVICE

By DISAPPOINTED on 3/12/2018 at 6:01 PM. Helped by Steven.

My KIA 2013 Sorrento suddenly stopped on Mon 5, 2013 approximately 0645 am. AAA towed to KIA Alhambra Main St , CA immediately on Mon 3/5/18,.Today, after after 5 Business day they can not tell me what's wrong with my SUV nor covered by KIA's warranty. I had my SUV since July 2012 and the mileage approximately 73, 0000 miles & have complete maintenace service records performed by KIA Service Center . Simple common sense and you don't need to be smart , of course it's covered by KIA Warranty since it is still LESS THAN 10 YEARS and less than 100,0000 miles . KIA always proudly advertise 10 years or 100, 000 miles warranty coverage for their cars but WHY their Service Center unable to answer immediately that my SUV is covered by my KIA Warranty. Until today they have not given me a definite answer about my warranty coverage. They made themselves DUMB not give me the answer and this made me doubtful on their warranty if its is REAL or FAKE. The KIA Service center and TECHNICIANS are too SLOW and no commitment to provide customer satisfaction. I called several times to inquire but the assigned Service Center Agent voice mail was FULL and unable to leave voice mail. Very unprofessional ethic and never calls you back to provide updates. We are now in MODERN TECHNOLOGIES WHO CAN DIAGNOSE CAR ENGINE PROBLEM INSTANTLY but KIA's technologies is backward that upset several customer who all learned BIG lesson & will not buy KIA anymore. I would like to call KIA Management's attention and let them know they greatly need improvement on customer satisfaction and engine diagnostic service and trained their staff on professionalism behavior.before they loose business performance improvement..

I would not recommend this dealer.

A Simple Oil Change???

By Optima SX on 9/26/2017 at 10:40 PM. Helped by Don and the knucklehead who serviced my car..

Came in for service updates on my 2012 Optima SX. There was 1 for the radio and 1 for the engine. I told them to update the radio only and the service manager noted it and talked me into an oil change at regular price. (Said there where no specials at this time) I'm really meticulous about my car and didn't want any oil spills. Don assured me that everything would be okay so I agreed. I get home and park my car in the driveway and come out the leave 30 minutes later to see oil dripping from the underbody panel onto the driveway. Called Don, he apologized and said to bring it back to get cleaned up and he'll get me a free oil change in the future. Brought it back to find oil spilled from the top of the block, down the side, and dripping from the underbody panel. I was irate! All they did was wipe the oil with towels leaving an oily film that attracts dust an dirt. Never did get the free oil change though I probably wouldn't let them do it anyways. After that service, I noticed on the FWY when I go WOT, the turbo doesn't kick in as hard as it did before. I questioned Don, and he said they didn't do anything that would affect the car's performance but I do wonder...

I would not recommend this dealer.

Kia of Alhambra = Incompetence

By TheMartins on 3/2/2017 at 12:39 AM. Helped by I cannot remember the name(s) of the services writers.

We leased a Kia Optima (not from Kia of Alhambra) in 2012. We got it serviced at Kia of Alhambra because that is the closest Kia dealership. Nearly every time we took it in something wasn't done right. Once we even found a burger wrapper and empty Coke can in our car left by an employee. Our lease ended in 2015 and we returned the car. Since then, we keep getting mailers from Kia of Alhambra saying they want to buy our Optima. I have called the dealership twice asking them to stop, both times I was told they'd take care of the problem. Then, just a few days ago another such mailer arrived, this time in an ominously labeled envelope bearing the words "FINAL NOTICE". What a cheap and dirty trick to get us to open it. The first line in the letter from general manager Gil Hayes was, "Our records indicate you lave less than 14 payments left on your current lease with a monthly payment of $XXX. Kia of Alhambra would like to take in your current leased vehicle early regardless of make or model." So, they're not fixing the problem at all, it's only getting worse. Do those clowns really think this helps get them more business? My recourse is social media and contacting Kia's corporate offices to lodge a complaint, both of which I will do.

I would not recommend this dealer.
