Very disappointed with this dealership. I purchased a Jeep from this dealership in mid May. The sales guy Jesse told me the car had one year warranty and I'd be able to take it to any Jeep dealership if I had any issues but it was all checked out and it passed all inspection. In November the car started making a grinding noise so I called him and he said to take it into a Jeep dealership close to me. I took it into the a Jeep dealership. They told the warranty had expired even before I got the car because it was a 2017 model! I said I had the car less than 1 year and it only had 5000km's at time of purchase and only 14,000 now, which is less than the 20,000km allowed for the warranty. I was told the sales guy lied to me cause I never had a warranty on the car! I called Jesse and he said it's wear and tear and that's why it's not covered! I then called Jeep Canada. They informed me wear and tear parts ARE covered but again told me my warranty had expired before I even got the car and the dealership I bought the car lied to me so I should go back to them! I have messaged the manager of the location and still not received a response! A car that's less than a year old is costing me over $500 in repairs! Based on my experience, I feel I was deceived and would never recommend this dealership. The sales person was deceitful about the warranty and the sales a manager did nothing to rectify the situation. Instead he just ignored my messages to reach a resolution. Completely unprofessional and poor customer service!!!

Friendly staff @ Newmarket Kia

We found all of your sales staff in all departments of the dealership were very helpful & friendly. Ahmand Oriakhil was especially knowledgeable & patient in finding the right car for our needs. We were comparison shopping of all similar cars & were happy Ahmand had encouraged us to return on the same day to reevaluate the Sportage. We were very satisfied with our final decision of purchasing this car.

Horrible customer service

I took my car in for some service on a Friday mid day. I needed a tire of which they needed to order. The time of day was past the Friday order to deliver same day and was told it would be ordered and delivered on Saturday around 3 pm. That meant that the service wouldn't happen till Monday morning because service on Saturday closed at 1 pm. I was promised my car would be ready for 10 am. Monday morning came and at 9:50 am I called to see how much longer it would be till my car was ready. They himmed and hawed and put me on hold many time and then told me they didn't have my tire yet. The service manager told me he called the supplier on Saturday and was informed that tire would come 8 am Monday. Then he said he called at 8 am and the supplier said they would ship the tire but the dealership wouldn't have it till 3 pm. on Monday. The more he said the angrier I got. I should have been called at least on Saturday explaining the situation. For sure a call should have been made at 8 am Monday morning. Then miraculously the service manager got a note from an employee that they had the tire and were now working on the car. So the whole story was lie after lie after lie. I love the car but the dealership is terrible to deal with. This is not my first lie I have had from them. I was without a car for the weekend. No curtisy car offered. Buyer be where.

Poor Customer Service

My KIA Soul EV was brought in for service to check rear end grinding noise on August 15th. They did a break service and all was running fine thereafter. Two days later the vehicle was side-pushed about a foot by a van backing out of a driveway. It since has been pulling to the left. The accident was reported to the insurance who authorized a repair estimate. KIA stated this was chargeable. I paid. A full inspection instead of an accident related repair estimate was performed - this is not what they were asked to do do at all. On the report on August 18th 2018 they stated that this was a maintenance issue and that the tires needed rotating together with an alignment. They failed to even notice a dent and scratches by the wheel well. Based on this report the insurance cannot pay for the repair. A second estimate and review by an insurance company authorized shop was required. I called the service manager Todd who was more than unfriendly and unprofessional and in fact extremely rude. I would not ever trust the service manager and service at this dealership. On the o the hand sales staff is very friendly. OS there is a disconnect between sales and service. The want you to buy but it appears they do not seem to care about you after the fact.

Bought a Kia Soul 2016

This is my third Kia vehicle and Kia of Newmarket has serviced them all. This last Kia Soul has been a different experience and am sadly disappointed. At 64,000 km there were service suggestions made before the usual booklet ownership manual requirement. Coolant, Engine flush, spark plugs, wheel alignment, tire rotation. I brought it in for an oil change and came out with $1000.00 of work. The oil change was the worst ever, the techician dented the gasket and I had oil on my driveway. Had to return to get it fixed. Then I had the suggested engine flush done as I didn’t on the $1000.00 initial time and as I was driving it home, the car stopped dead. I could have been rear ended if I hadn’t reacted so quickly to get it over. Turns out that there was still residue left from the flush. I ended up going four times , first for a simple oil change, then to redo the leaking car from an oil change, then to do the engine flush and then to return for a faulty engine flush as the car stalled and there red lights came on. Car was noisy and it turns out that there was still chemical residue left behind. I could have been on the Hwy and been rear ended and been in a serious accident. I was so scared! A coolant is recommended which is before it’s time and even though it was suggested, they couldn’t test it to verify that the car even needed a coolant flush. Kia of Newmarket isn’t the same as was in 2004, I’m disappointed in my expierience there as of late. When I called the service mgr to discuss the 4 visits, and all the issues, he said that they give staff a learning break. I replied, I could have been rear ended, this is serious...

bald tires

I cannot overstate how this dealership will go out of its way to sell you tires that are literally on their last legs, just barely passing MTO requirements. No concern for customer safety, never mind a fair deal. Even the headlight was burned out and we had to turn back after 1 minute off the lot to get it replaced. Once home, car found to have been painted on the driver's side, with no previous transparency as to why. Disgraceful and will never go back.

Purchased a new 2018 Sorrento from Kia Newmarket primarily because of salesman James. There was no need to shop elsewhere because he was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. We felt relaxed and not pressured at any time. During the negotiation process he listened to our views and went the extra yard to ensure customer satisfaction. He is an asset to this dealership and we would recommend him to any future Kia purchaser.

Poor quality of work

Replaced the light with them... the kind of job that is easy enough that even I can do if I have the parts... but they manage to scratched off the paint at several different spots on my car which make me feel like they never install the light before.... even worse they denied and pretend they don't know anything about it. Is there better words out there to describe these group of "professionally" trained people? Good luck if you bring in the car for more complicated job such as brake services...(how can I give negative stars?)

I recently purchased a 2018 Sportage for a very good price. Before making my final decision, I must have visited this location at least 3 maybe even 4 times. The staff seemed friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. When it came to the actual purchase, Jesse went over and above to accommodate me. I made a very last minute decision (hours before picking up my new car) to have new plates put on instead of transferring my old ones. I’m not too sure of what is involved in doing this but I’m sure it wasn’t easy with it being last minute. Jesse made it happen. Thank you so much for your patience and commitment Jesse. You’ve made my first experience of a new car owner, very happy! 😁

Terrible experience

I bought my Forte in 2013 and the ownership of the dealer has changed since then. I needed repairs after hitting a pot hole. They replaced parts to a tune of $2300. Drove my car out of the dealership and quickly noticed the problem I took it in for was now worse. Drove it back and paid another bundle of money to get my car back on the road. It was obvious they did the big ticket item when all I needed was replacing the ruts.. They kept my car for 4 days and I couldn’t get a straight answer about anything. They couldn’t even explain where the damage was on the parts as every time I asked, the “technician” that worked on my car was conveniently not there. I felt like my car had been high jacked and question their integrity and work ethic. They take forever to return calls and they do not have any parts on site, I had to wait until the parts were ordered on both occasions. My car sat on the parking lot for hours before anyone looked at it. I was going to buy another Kia this year but the service experience at this dealership turned me off. I love Kia but can’t bare the idea of service at the Newmarket dealer. I won’t go back and I definitely don’t recommend you use the service there.

Lack of follow up is abysmal..

Having been in the business, I found the follow up to be seriously lacking. Sales associate promised a call back within an hour after Mark the Tower Guy lowballed trade. Promptly went to another Kia dealer and bought there. Shame you spend so much on advertising when staff ambivalently ‘chase’ customers to other same brand dealers

Worst Kia Dealership

I bought my KIA here late 2016. The ownership and location has been changed since then. The quality and integrity of this dealership went completely downhill immediately. Most of the employees i dealt before are all gone. The culture in the building is very negative and employees were said not to be paid on time. I WILL NOT CONDUCT ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP ANYMORE. KIA Canada should take a close look on how the business owner do their business and the effect on the KIA community in Newmarket.

Incompetence

I have been getting the run around for weeks with misinformation and lack of full disclosure. After signing the paperwork for a new vehicle there were numerous extra hidden hurdles and expenses that were not disclosed and were only discovered as I had to contact Hyundai Capital Finance and Kia Protect directly. I have cancelled my new purchase order as a result of this incompetence. Never had these issues when dealing when owned by New Roads Kia.

Agitated mess of a service department

I brought my 2017 forte in for there service department this past week for scheduled maintenance, when I arrived at service there were 3 advisors two of whom didn't appear to be working and told to wait for the last advisor, an older lady, getting my appointment into the computer was simple enough but was told it would be a few hours for regular service. When I asked about this I was told theyd lost most of there service technician staff, They didn't go into detail but having your staff quit seems on par with other service reviews I've read about management. Do not visit this service department. Take the extra time and go further for quality.

Poorly managed service an bad customer service. .

I bought a Kia Sportage from this dealer in November but I only got in possession of it in January 2017 next year. A few months later I called to make an appointment for the oil change but the dealer could not find any record of my purchase, neither had they recognized the car’s VIN number so I had to show them the purchase agreement. Making a service appointment with them proved to be a task near to impossible. In the end I succeeded to get my car in service, but again they could not find any record of my new car. Meanwhile Kia Newmarket ownership has changed and the location as well. Not long ago, I received a recall letter from KIA Canada, so I phoned the Newmarket dealer to make an appointment, and again, I went through the same hassle. In the end, I booked a service appointment but when I showed up with my car for service, they could not find any record of the booking neither my name or phone number or records of my car. The service front desk person was rather unfriendly and most of the time served me with lies to cover up their mishap. What happened next is beyond my comprehension. They took the car in service for 4 hours, then when I picked-up the car I’ve been told that nothing has been done because they run out of parts and after they will receive the parts I need to make another appointment. Overall my own experience with Kia Newmarket is bad. The service is poorly managed, service’s front desk personnel was rather unfriendly and dishonest.
