My salesman was Scott Gwinn. I have purchased 10 to 15 vehicles from him over the years. I have followed Scott from every dealership he has been. He is a great guy and salesman. I have always had a great experience when dealing with Scott. He will go out of his way to help you. The entire time I was at Kimberly Car City everyone I dealt with was fantastic. Mislead by Extended Warranty

I purchased a New Jeep Renegade 3 months ago and purchased the extended warranty. 2 weeks ago I brought Jeep to service department because a small piece of the grill on the front bottom fell off. The screws were still attached and the grill sits back from the bumper. Service Dept. had to take pictures to see if my warranty covered the piece and labor. First of all when I purchased the extended warranty they told me this covered my Jeep bumper to bumper. Anyway they rejected the picture and are telling me I need to pay to have this fixed. They said I must of hit something! Why would the screws still be attached and the bumper would of been dented if I hit something. Plus I had to call twice to get a answer from them, they never called me back. So I advise people not to buy extended warranty! Plus the Service Department was not prompt on returning my call. Very UNHAPPY Customer!!!

Terrible Service Center

Took my Dodge Ram 1500 here to get my drivers side axle replaced. They wanted an initial $150 service charge approved just to look at my truck. When I asked why I was told it was because their technicians are all Mopar certified and have 40 years of experience and have all their own tools and stuff. So it's basically a security charge in case I decide to take my truck somewhere else (even though I had to get it towed there.) About $800 and 2 weeks later I finally got my truck back. I go to drive it the next day and about 5 miles later my truck starts making a grinding noise. I get out to see the axle coming apart already. I called the service center and they wouldn't cover a tow truck to get my truck back to the shop. So I slowly drive my truck back to the dealership and when I get there they claim they don't have a loaner car for me. There was also no shuttle service or anything offered and I had to call a friend to come pick me up and take me home. They call me later and tell me that the drivers side AND passenger side axles are coming apart now and they will have to replace both of them. So I go back in 2 days later when they finally have a loaner car available (which was covered in dirt, sprinkles, and candy wrappers inside) and I asked to get an estimate on a few other things since I figured I wouldn't have my truck for a few weeks again. Five days later I finally got an estimate emailed to me. They wanted $250.00 to replace a leaky valve stem in my tire...... This is a $30 job anywhere else. They also wanted $270.00 just in parts for the ball joints which can be bought online anywhere for about $60. I called them back and said forget about the estimates, just take care of the axles. Two weeks later I just got my truck back again and when I drove it home I noticed they left my hood unlatched. These are the little things that shouldn't happen from a professional dealer with Mopar certified technicians. It has passed the 5 mile test this time but we'll see how long the axles last.

Great car buying experience!

Our client associate, Patrick, is wonderful. Very professional while taking the time to get to know his clients wants and needs in a vehicle. Extremely knowledgeable about the BMW line of vehicles down to options available on which models, engine performance, electronics, you name it, he can answer the question. He makes the car buying process very enjoyable. This is our second purchase and definitely not our last from Kimberly. Their service department is great as well.

Outstanding!

Have been looking for a nice Z4 for few months. Found this 2015 at a great price and low mileage. Dealt with Patrick through emails at first to get it all scheduled and then phone to finalize all. He was super helpful, easy to deal with and very knowledgeable about the workings of the car. It was a 150 mike drive for us to get the car, but definitely well worth the drive. Thanks for a smooth and hassle free transaction

Bad experience

Purchased 2015 dodge charger,month later they say need new tires,was supposed to be certified, ha, took in for oil change they tell me i need a new air filter,just replaced day before,wow, have purchased 3 vehicles from kimberly and will be buying new charger but will never ever buy from here again!

The Ultimate Driving Machine

We were on our way to look at a used BMW at Kimberly BMW. We thought we’d better look at local dealership as we would not have to go out of town for maintenance. We found a nice Cadillac with low miles and thought we would pleased with our purchase. After having the vehicle for six months neither me or my wife was happy with the vehicle. After we returned from vacation, we found a nicer vehicle with lower miles that fit our price range. Hindsite is 20/20 and we should have replaced our 2005 X3 with a newer X3 to begin with. BMW is truly the Ultimate Driving Machine.

Always the Best

The opposite of a customer-oriented/satisfaction experience

When I walked into the dealership to the used car manager yelling at the top of his lungs at another employee for a sale she had made, I should have known this experience would not be one I would remember fondly. I strongly encourage others away from this dealer as actively as I can, hoping they avoid the same pushy, take-advantage-of-the-customer experience that I had. Several examples besides the aforementioned shouting match between the two employees include: 1. When I was informed of the value of a truck I was trading in, it seemed low compared to the KBB value. When I asked the used car manager, Dave Luciani, if they could possibly go lower on the price of the car I was purchasing, he responded by yelling, "If you want to see a price go down, I can lower the offer on that truck you have!" 2. In addition to the car i bought, I also purchased an extended warranty. However, I received absolutely no paperwork pertaining to that warranty. 3. After purchasing the car and getting it home, I had a case of "buyer's remorse" and called to ask what policy was is place in the case of such an event. I was informed by Mr. Luciani (very loudly) that I was "lucky to get such a nice car for such a low price" and I was "lucky he even took the truck and he shouldn't have even given me as much for it as he did". He also voiced that I should be grateful to him for giving me such a nice car. I was informed there is nothing they would do to help me because I signed the contract and the sale was final. I understand the Iowa state law has no "buyer's remorse" period for car sales, and the KCC does not either. I took the awful deal they offered and that is my own fault, however it does not excuse the way I was treated throughout the entire affair. Between the lack of professionalism and pushy sales pitches, I do not recommend this shady dealership to anyone. I tried to contact the owner/president, Dale Zude, via phone several times to address this situation and was told he "does not take those kind of calls". I sent a letter voicing my concerns and discontent with the way I was treated and the deal I was given to Mr. Zude. The letter has been ignored the same way all the calls were. This dealership claims to pride itself on taking care of it's customers and, directly from their website, they claim "We know our job isn't finished until you're completely satisfied." Obviously, this is the farthest thing from the truth. I will continue to actively encourage those in the Quad City area to do their car shopping elsewhere, at dealerships who take pride in the work they do and the customer care they provide.
