I have purchased several cars through this dealer and have always received attentive, professional assistance. The cars I have been interested in looking at have been available and in impeccable condition. Their record keeping is accurate and I have been treated as a valued acquaintance. The service dept is clean, efficient and has been available to my family, even on weekends. Loaner cars are always available and I am typically in/out within 10-15min. Much better than the BMW, Audi, Cadillac dealers I have previously interacted with. Never going back to them.

Bad purchase experience

When I first went to their facility to look at a car, the staff's attitude seemed very blase, and compared to other dealerships I've been at recently, it has an odd and unwelcoming layout. I then was shown a car I was interested in, and a couple of days later, a Saturday, we agreed on the terms of sale for a car. I told the salesperson that my family had plans for a family event in the Gorge the next day (a Sunday), but that I could cancel those plans and come in the next day with a check, since it was close to the end of the month and he had represented that they were giving us a deal to improve their month-end numbers, and I was trying to be considerate. We showed up at 12 noon on Sunday with our check, and the salesperson said, in effect, 'Sorry, but the car was sold last night.' I then asked to speak to the manager, Lana Tran, who was very cold, curt and unfriendly, and said there wasn't a deal until we were there in person. [Incidentally, that is legally incorrect (I am a legal professional), though I doubt she realizes that (yet).] I mistakenly thought that a dealership selling high-end cars would have a much more upstanding, honest and professional approach, and would be very service oriented (as as my past experience with luxury brand dealerships), but that turned out to be a flawed assumption. Basically it was everything BUT "What can we do to make this right? " A very disappointing experience all around, and basically a big waste of time. At this point, I have decided against buying a Lexus, even at an out of town dealership, because I assume that the service experience would be equally bad, and they are the only Lexus dealership/option in the Portland area. Just a bad experience all the way around.

Amazing Sales and Service Staff at Kuni Lexus of Portland

Horrible customer service in sales...

They hopped on us when we walked in -looked at several cars -& then asked to drive a couple of hybrids to compare - was ready to buy a car this weekend. The guy who was helping us was white, Mid 50's shorter, grey suite - only listing this as i do not remember his name. He was nice enough but not thrilled when we asked to test drive a car -seemed hassled but took the drivers license and insurance card -and never came back! Went back in to see what happened - he was no longer helping ="something came up" he said! Another guy ran to help apologizing - this one was gone another 20 minutes. We were there an hour - and never got to drive a car - and had to chase down the drivers license and insurance card. That felt very strange - not a secure way to handle such personal info -very uncomfortable. No reason for this behavior - we were 2 women in our 50's dressed well etc -not that it should matter - I was ready to buy that day. - and zero customer service. They had no reason to treat me that way - It was embarrassing to me - and really felt sorry for my friend who went out of her way to help me. BUT now if i buy a Lexus - I will have to have it serviced at Kuni Portland. Really seriously RIDICULOUS that i feel afraid to trust their dealership service ! So disappointing I did called & received amazing customer service from Kendall Lexus in EUGENE, OR. I exchanged several calls about models etc - they will deliver the car to my house - which is great but still need to drive one first :) Bummer since Eugene is 2 hours away - not sure where to go from here.

6hrs! And they lost my car???

After talking to a salesman 2 vehicles would be ready when we arrived at 3pm to pick. Upon arrival 1 was there, not of our choice and a way higher price. The salesman lied. Not only that they couldn't even find the car we were buying. I prefilled in the finance forms and somehow was put to the end of the line and got in there around 8pm after everyone else. They sent us across the street to eat and wait. It was the worst experience I've ever had and will NEVER BUY ANOTHER CAR from Kuni.

Great customer service

My fiancé and I drove up from Washington to purchase our RC 350, we were given a “sight unseen” appraisal and when we arrived, they apprised our trade in to be less, they honored the appraisal without question and made our buying experience VERY enjoyable. Jeremy and Debra went above and beyond with the entire buying process. We will definitely be returning customers to Kuni Lexus and most definitely will refer friends when they’re in the market for a new car.

Don’t drive up in a commoners car!!!!!

Went to Kuni Lexus to buy a new LS. I arrived, with my friend, in his 2017 Toyota Corolla. Twice I tried parking in their cramped lot and twice told to move. Came back a few minutes later to find other customer vehicles parked. Walked around for 20 minutes, never even achknowledged. Asked a passing man wearing a Lexus jacket if he was a sales rep, he said he was busy but someone else would come out. 10 minutes later we left. Happened by the Beaverton Porsche, and decided to drop in. We were warmly greeted as we stepped from our humble auto. After 2 hours, I drove away in my brand new White Porsche Panamera! Thank you Kuni Lexus for being rude and standoffish.

Service Team is amazing

I have had two warranty repairs completed at Kuni Beaverton, as well as had the water pump on my GX460 replaced. Car repairs are never fun and, yet, the service team has always made the experience as easy as can be and have always been incredibly accomodating (bonus that they clean my car after every service). Listen, even my kids love them (maybe that's because of the chocolate). And, in case you're thinking I'm just a sucker for amazing customer service (and I am), I'll tell you that I also price shopped for the water pump replacement and found that a) Lexus was the cheapest, b) they provide a loaner vehicle, and c) it ended up being even cheaper than they quoted me because they were running some kind of special. My husband says I "drank the Lexus koolaid" and at this point I can't argue. PS. I did not purchase my vehicle from this dealership, so I have no idea if the sales team provides the same excellent experience. It seems that most of the poor reviews are about them and, frankly, I think the process of buying any car, anywhere, is pretty painful. I will, however, give them a chance when it's time for a new Lexus just because of how lovely the service team is.

very bad experience with them

I 've purchased an RX and asked them to not run my credit since I have my pre-approval; however, they ran 3-4 times for non-valid reasons. There were three incidents to the car and they told me only one. Such a lier dear , they just want to thrust a car to you. Not recommended

We recently purchased our second vehicle from your dealership. We experienced the same high quality of service as before. Lana was involved with our first purchase and has remained in contact with us through out the years. Always professional and informative. Someone we love seeing when we visit the dealership. Because of her efforts to stay connected., we returned to your dealership and purchased our next Lexus. Brandon was our anchor man. He helped us navigate our way through the buying process and continues to stay in touch. A favorite and most rewarding experience was working with Rob. What a great guy. His knowledge and personality provided us with the best inservice we have ever experienced. He's 5 out of 5 stars in our book. Nathan is also someone we hold in high regard. In all the years he has never let us down.

Dishonest Sales Practices

Very disappointing experience at Kuni Lexus of Portland today. Salesperson led me to believe the vehicle I wanted to purchase was at the dealership, only to claim later he forgot it was at another dealership, in another state! The price I was given was 1) above invoice, 2) included $1,600 in obligatory “Accessories” he had also forgotten to mention previously, and 3) included a nearly $400 dealer prep charge! If you MUST have a Lexus in the Portland area, buy it from a dealer in California, or at least use a broker, but whatever you do, don’t go near Kuni Lexus of Portland. Dishonest and disreputable are two descriptors that clearly apply, and their negative effect on the brand should be of concern to Lexus/Toyota corporate.

home away from home

I am a first time buyer, and naturally before making a first time vehicle purchase I did my homework, research, and mentally prepared myself to walk away from any, and all dealerships that attempted to take advantage of me. Over the course of two long months I had been put through the worst car buying experience imaginable. Dealership after dealership I was unsatisfied with the unwelcoming environments, unprofessional sales people, and the aggressive approach of making a sale. Just as I was thinking of giving up, I found Kuni lexus of Portland. I would like to especially thank sales consultant Jeneva Keller, and Debra Alexander in financing for their genuine kindness and welcoming hospitality. It was obvious to me that unlike my other experiences they were there to help me in every way they could. I highly recommend these two as well as this dealership for those looking for the best car buying experience.

Ran out of gas on test drive

Together with my adult daughter we were looking for Range Rover. On a test drive we ran out of gas at the traffic light near the dealership. It was over 100 degrees hot and we were about 20 min in that Range Rover before their manager Russ sent us help. Our sales man (Indian guy) was calling and texting His manager for 20 min to get us gas. We were blocking intersection. Couldn't stand that heat anymore, got out and waited sitting on the curb. When we finally arrived to the building, no-one offered us an apology. Would not recommend going there,

Good sales team, okay service

I have worked with Bergen on two leases, and she has always been fantastic. Helpful, friendly, and always honest. Go work with her, she's easily one of the best sales people I've ever met. I like that she does not beat around with 4-squares and other cheese-ball sales tactics. She just says what she can do and then makes it happen. As for the service department, mixed experience there. Usually they are good. They quoted me on some tires a while back, and it seemed expensive so I said I wanted to shop around. They seemed to get really bent out of shape over that. However, all things being equal they're a good service center. Waiting room is awesome. Yes, I steal the donuts. :-)

Very expensive for any repairs

I got a new brand lexus few months ago and got a scratch recently .Others gave me a quote of ~700-1300$ for my scratch repair while lexus instead of helping a customer who just purchased a new brand car from them gave me a quote of 2100$ .Very disappointing .I understand that they do quality work but cannot quote me double of what majority offers.

Horrible Experience at Kuni Lexus mistreatment and lied

We drove over 2 hours to this dealership with a verbal confirmation it was fine to hold a check for 4 days for the full price for a car and WITHOUT our permission they ran a credit check on myself and my daughter and then informed us because we didn't have glowing credit they would not hold the check. We then offered them a $500 cash deposit leaving the check and car with them until our confirmed inheritance arrived via our attorney on Tuesday they turned us down flat. We just went to a different great dealership today paid cash for a Cadillac CTS. If your not driving a elite vehicle and dressed up Kuni Lexus treats you like trash. I asked to speak to the finance manager even though I was paying for the vehicle in full and got turned down.

Refuses to Answer a Simple Service Question

I need to remove the Overhead Console on my Lexus. It's the module positioned just behind the rear view mirror that holds various controls, including the garage door opener. There are two screws holding the forward side. When those are removed it's apparent the back side is retained in some way. I suspect it's just a matter of pulling down hard on the back side so two clips are disengaged. I called service to ask how to complete the removal. The lady told me she couldn't give me that information, but if I came in they could do the removal. They would, of course, charge me. I could also pay to access a website to get the information. Why the silence? The excuse offered was they couldn't be held responsible if I did something wrong. But of course they couldn't, I am the one doing the operation. Besides, to demonstrate liability I would have to prove they gave me wrong information. Are they so remiss they dispense false information? Such a simple question with such a simple answer. I called another dealer and was readily given the information.
