Terrible Service

Go to North Bay, they treat you like gold compared to this place. Bought two toyotas at Laking, but will NEVER deal with their service department. Been there a few times too many to get work done and every time had to deal with their miserable staff. Went to get a recall done on leaf springs, they wanted to charge me for 4 new u-bolts because I have a lift. They would not even attempt to save the ones I have on now. Said they would have to cut them off no matter what. It took me 20 mins to loosen each nut on u-bolts before bringing it to North Bay to get the recall done and was treated like a king. I would not even bring my vehicles there for an oil change. DO NOT TRUST THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT. Well worth the ride to North Bay!

If not Toyota...then Nissan for sure

I originally was looking to buy a Tundra Crewman from Joel Gummeson. Then I realized that the Sequoia was more in line with what I was really wanting to buy... By comparing the Sequoia trim to the Tundra, I quickly realized that the Sequoia had not been upgraded. The Rav 4 had more of the desired electronics than did the twice as costly Sequoia. So I started searching for a good Japanese made vehicle with all the features I was looking for...I found the Armada SL model to be exactly what I was looking for. My only regret was that Joel did not sell it to me. The people at Nissan were great as well. Thank you Blair for your help and support during my shopping frenzy... I pick up my vehicle this coming Friday... Happy days ahead.

Well I was communicated to well. Got a great deal on trade in and on the new truck got a good lease rate. Lots of extras thrown in and no hidden costs. Easy to go through everything and explained well.

brural service

They told us we can't get a loaner car when bringing in our 2016 Suv for repairs on something they screwed up on and leaving it there for a day from the night before. It's very inconvenient when you live across town and don't have wheels especially when we work a two different areas and have two young kids ........I'm not happy with this very poor service

I found the experience very calming compared to other vehicle dealerships I have dealt with over the years. John gave us time to think our purchase over & gave us a few options to consider. Since we just purchased the vehicle last week we have not used the service department yet but if they are as good as the front line staff, I know we made the right decision on a Laking Toyota.

Great experience

We were shopping for a new vehicle and hadn't had a great experience. Some local dealerships bashed other brands, others used pressure tactics and asked for $500 deposits on a vehicle that we hadn't even driven yet. When we got to Laking, Jody was amazing. She was nice, respectful, courteous and helpful. She was able to answer any questions we had regarding the vehicle. We had previously researched the cost of our vehicle and had come up with a price we were willing to pay. Negotiations were quick and painless. This was our third car we've purchased and what looked to be a painful event turned out to be by far the best experience in the end! Thanks Jody!

great experience

I bought my car (corolla)4 years ago at laing Toyota and had a very personable experience. The sales and customer service representatives were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They were able to find me a car that suited my needs within my budget and I still love it today! I've been back many times since for service (oil changes and other maintenance routines) and they have always been very accomodations (if I needed a ride or a rental). I would highly recommend them to any friends and family. My only complaint would be with their detailing, but they were helpful in getting it re-done free of charge.

Joel Gummeson was an amazing Sales rep. He went above and beyond helping my wife and I purchase our new family vehicle. We tested out plenty of vehicles before we decided to go with Toyota. Joel stayed in contact and let us know when the best price was good for us. He also followed up with us to see how we where doing after the babies where born with the new van. Pure class act. I"ll never purchase another vehicle unless it is from Joel. Best service in Sudbury.

Why so bitter with outsiders

Didn't purchase my vehicle there and was met with cursing from service manager after asking to look at part under warranty. The head mechanic was top notch but the service people need a lesson or two in common courtesy, especially this Leo fellow who headed service at the time. I will certainly purchase another Toyota, but Laking has convinced me to never EVER purchase a vehicle from there. Not sure this post even matters to them, but if anyone has any doubts about purchasing a vehicle from Laking, consider the relationship you'll be getting into in the longer term. Toyota makes good, long lasting vehicles, but sooner or later, you'll have to bring it in for service, and that's where the fun starts!

2014 corolla

laking toyota is a pure joke told me i had to leave my car there over a weekend for a flat tire they wanted me to drive on a spare tire for 3 days in the winter and with my 8 year old in the back .....turns out they damaged my car 6000$ and then tried to hide it from me.....my radio just stopped working it took 3 weeks and 4 visits to get it right and then said my car didn't come with sirius xm which it did.....i will never buy a car from them again there service is just garbage.....hope this helps everyone out

Laking Toyota. I paid for the nice couches.

Have two Toyotas but will never service them here again. Unwanted service and INSANE prices! Find a mechanic you trust and run while you have something left in your wallet. Caught them in lies trying to replace parts they had just changed and they were too lazy to check service records!Big jobs under warranty supposed to last life of vehicle surprisingly fail again after warranty is up. They charge Toyota Canada for warranty work I'm sure but don't do the work properly!?They quoted me $6700 in work and I did it somewhere else for $ 1600 !!! Laking sees service as a cash cow and the margins are huge now by pushing service and high costs on loyal customers. I Have had multiple Nissans and Toyotas and serviced them with Northern Nissan and Laking Toyota all along ( same owner). Rewards program at Laking tells me that I have spent almost $10000 over last 6- 7 years there in service...thanks for the coupon for a free appetizer but doesn't make me feel better! They gouge and I feel like I paid for the nice couches and the shuttle service many times over. Not worth it for a Toyota in Sudbury because they won't stand behind the brand, their service or the " genuine Toyota parts". They took my money for too long...run away before you get the shaft real bad...it's coming.
