A Pleasant Buying Experience!!!

We just purchased our first Land Rover Range Rover Sport from Fields Land Rover of Northfield. This experience was by far the most pleasant buying experience, my family has ever had. We were made to feel welcome immediately by Sam Badro. Sam was knowledgeable and courteous and definitely not your "typical car salesperson". Sam made us feel very comfortable and never rushed us. Matt Berman Used Car Manger, was also courteous and knowledgeable He explained that any concerns we had would be fix. Matt was right as the Range Rover Sport looked amazing when we picked it up. Sam and Matt were a pleasure to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the dealership and especially those people with whom we worked with. Thanks, Marc

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE

I purchased a jeep from Land Rover Northfield and from the minute I walked in the door I was greeted by several Sales Associates with a hand shake and a smile. I purchased my vehicle through Michael Broccolino and he is hands down the best Sales Associate I have ever come across. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, understanding of my budget, and passionate about his work. I have continued to have my car serviced at Land Rover Northfield, and would highly recommend Michael as he went above and beyond to create exceptional customer service, as well as, a great comfort level for me.

STAY AWAY

Don’t buy from this dealership unless the finance department(Kevin)makes a killing. My sales person Sam was great but the finance guy was horrible. He intentionally messed up my paperwork twice and send it to the wrong address since he didn’t make money. I paid cash. The finance manager lied to me about mailing the paperwork. Rocky the general manager was not much help. I did not like the ride of the vehicle which was not the dealership’s fault. I had a buyer a dealer from Denver who backed off because I didn’t have the title due to the Finance Department’s shenanigans. I ended up selling it for $2900 lower to Carmax than what the buyer was offering to buy.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Outstanding Experience

I purchased my first Land Rover yesterday from the Land Rover Northfield Location. It was a busy night for them with a charity function, but that did not stop them for making me feel comfortable during the entire process. I had done some research on the Land Rover Discovery, but still had many questions. Joe Fuentes spent a lot of time explaining everything to me along with taking me a test drive with two different vehicles to make sure I was looking at the one I really wanted. I was nervous, but everyone from the General Manager to the Financing manager put all my nerves at ease. The car was not available that evening and they even delivered it to me today at work! I can't wait to drive my first Land Rover. Joe, Rocky and Elaina were great to work with! It was an A++ Experience!! THANK YOU!!

Impressive experience

I was thoroughly impressed with Land Rover Northfield from the moment I walked in. We live in the city and our experience here was well worth the drive up. Brian Black was our salesman and while we only came up to test drive that day, we ended up with a new car in the garage that afternoon. He was knowledgable and friendly while answering our many questions. In the end, he did not pressure us and we felt very comfortable in choosing to make the purchase of our Range Rover. Even the paperwork process was painless and we were out of the finance office in 25 minutes. We could not have asked for a better experience overall and highly recommend them.

Old bait and switch?

Old bait and switch? I was in the market for 2017 Land rover Evoque SE Premium. After searching around for a few days I was contacted by Ron (internet sales Consultant) from Land Rover Northfield. He confirmed that they have a car in stock which meets my requirements (stock#17003) and e-mail me price quote for (44,195). This was few thousand lower than what I have seen anywhere in the state, just to be on the safe side I called and had him and a sales person (Alex) confirm car is there with options we are looking for before I drive over an hour away to get the car, once we got there and looked at the car it was SE not SE premium (less options in this model). At this point Alex sincerely apologized as he had no idea of the price and model listed for this car on the website, we were still willing to buy the car we wanted and wait for the car but Kyle (Finance manager) wouldn’t even take 2K off the car’s MSRP 50K to make the deal. Not sure if he was just trying to get out as it was closing time on the Saturday or just didn’t give a crap but this is not the experience I would expect from a Land Rover dealer.

Land Rover Discovery

I worked with Michael Broccolino. I was looking for a specific Land Rover Discovery which are in very high demand. Michael spent a lot of time looking all over the country to try and find me this vehicle. It took two days and a few phone calls but he found just what I was looking for. He made sure I was very pleased with my vehicle by following up and checking on its performance. I would definitely recommend Michael and Land Rover Northfield.

waste of time

Disclaimer, I know we all want to eat at the end of the deal, meaning the Bank, dealership, and the sales guy get their money, and I walk out not over my budget when paying my monthly note. Pros- Right away, everything was just about perfect. Very friendly and professional environment, my sales guy for the day pretty much catered to my needs. Basically, all the main motions you go thru were covered ie: greeting, the test drive all prepared, water offers, etc. I will also add that he wasn't the pressure type either, he even offered me to take the car to a local shop to have it checked out again before purchasing. Cons: First low ball offer was 1,500 for a 06 Toyota Avalon. I knew it would be a low offer the first time, but $1500?, 170k miles is high, but not that high to resale. I was also told about the recondition costs,? really? My car was/is not trash, I wouldn't even think to trade in a car if I honestly knew that my car was even worth that. Such an insult though. From that point I got caught up in the money game and off my focus to really go for that fair deal. I even had all my maintenance history. The appraisal was a joke too, might I add, because nobody never truly appraised it. I just gave my keys to my sales guy and that was it. The "eye" test is real annoying. I know its about the most money they want to make, its never about the real deal. While waiting for the loan approval, I was told the "lenders system" was down. I waited an extra half-hour to give system "fix time" then I left. Of course I got the "we will follow up" because they didn't know how long the system was going to be down. The follow up never happened, so I had to call 2 days later and then I was told that I couldn't get approved. Basically, the loan was too low for them to make money off of me, and what was so sad, if it came down to it, I had a few grand to pretty much put down, but once the integrity of the negotiating left, I had no interest of spending my money there. I don't or didn't come in feeling entitled, I just wanted to beat the myths of bad dealerships. Now, they are not bad like avoid, but for that day, it was bad. Two days later and I still feel it, so I had to write my review.

Lack of Common Sense and Service

Called ahead to set up a day and time to test drive a specific new range rover sport to make sure they had model I was looking for. When I got there the sales guy was told by the manager told him they only had the one car in the showroom and unless I was ready to sit down and make a purchase that day he wasn't going to get it out for a test drive. Said the demand was too high. Who buys a car without driving it first? Don't waste my time telling me to come out if you are not prepared to show me the car. What a lack of respect. Manager never got his xxx up from the chair to even talk to me. Went to Orloff in Chicago and purchased the car the next day after being treated like a valued customer and given some respect. Would not recommend the dealer to anyone with so many other options available.

I was looking to purchase a specific vehicle, I spoke with Andrew at Land Rover Winnetka and he found my perfect vehicle, took me through every detail of the vehicle and sat with me to make sure I was happy. The service Andrew brought to the table was phenomenal! No pressure, very direct and friendly, he even took time to talk to me about his project vehicle a 70s era Defender, if you are in the market, definitely go see Andrew, and ask him about the defender, too!
