Incredibly easy, helpful and genuine

We just recently purchased a used Outback from Landers McLarty, and Richard was our salesman. Not only was he upfront and candid, it was as if we weren't dealing with someone trying to make a living but someone working to make sure we were getting the best car for our family. I can't compliment the staff enough. JT was incredibly helpful as well. My wife and I left extremely thankful that we ended up at this dealership, and for having the pleasure of working with Richard. I can't thank these guys enough.

Helped in getting a car back from auction

Jt was fundamental in helping me get a car I had been looking for. The unfortunate thing was the dealership had already took it auction but he helped get it back. He worked with me on the phone to get all the paperwork going and setting up a time to come see it. He is very friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend him and this dealership.

I called Jessica on 6/26/18 to ask about an obscure part for my 2015 Challenger SRT392. I was looking for the front splitter guards that are used for shipping the vehicle. Apparently, after delivery, these guards are discarded. Jessica was very knowledgeable about the car and knew exactly what I was talking about. I asked her about getting a set and she placed me on hold and actually went to see if they had a set that had been taken off lying around in the shop. They did not have a set but I am very impressed that she took the time to do all that for a part that is generally thrown in the garbage. It is very refreshing, in this world of pass the buck to the next person so I can get along with my day, that Jessica took the time and gave that effort to help me out. Jessica should be commended for her actions. This may seem like a small detail but it is the small things that reflect the larger picture of what knid of dealership Landers is. JOB WELL DONE

Jesse took such great care of us! We weren’t planning on buying a vehicle at all. But Jesse was super helpful and patient. He answered all of our questions and was very patient. Buying a car is never fun, but Jesse made this a fun and pleasant experience for us! Not only does he know his stuff about cars, he is a great guy. He talked with us and made us comfortable and we learned about his pup! I will recommend Jesse to everyone! The whole experience has been awesome!

Purchased another car from Jonathan Talley (JT). I wanted a 2018 Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack, and low and behold the dealership received 5 or 6. I contacted JT and told him I wanted the Black R/T and when I arrived at the dealership he started all the paperwork and it was mine within a few hours. Will purchase all my future cars from JT

Excellent!!!!!

Started with Marlon in March. At this time I was just cruising the net to see what was out there to make a long story short Marlon,Nathan and Steve got me a deal that was well worth the five hour drive . Absolutely no pressure ninety per cent was done over the net .By the time I got to Huntsville it was one hour at the most to complete the sale. My only regret is that I did not find them years ago!!

The service department is amazing at Landers McClarty. I would recommend them to anyone. In about an hour they serviced my Crosstrek AND washed it too.. they checked my car over well and I have no complaints.

Richard was wonderful to work with! The whole process was low-pressure, and he made us feel comfortable throughout the process. Richard took time to answer our questions, provide detailed information, and he gave us time to discuss the purchase of a new vehicle without pressure and/or “games.” He definitely exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to working with him again in the future. Great Buying Experience

I can't say enough about what a great experience we had buying our new 2018 Outback. Darrell Jackson went out of his way for us and even got a hat for our son. We got to take the car we wanted home for a test drive over the weekend. Darrell went above and beyond to make sure our car was perfect before we left and showed us all of the features we needed to know how to work. Bill Ladd helped us get through all of the paperwork with ease and as fast as possible.

I didn’t even know I wanted a NEW CAR!

I had no intention of buying a car just yet, I had been researching online for a few weeks and I had driven a few other makes. Subaru was an afterthought, not on my list to buy. I saw a used one on another dealer’s lot and wanted to just test drive it (really just to say I did). After test driving the 18 Outback, reviewing all the features, and specifications, I was in love with it. But still I wasn’t there to buy just yet, only wanted to do my research and buy some time in the future. There was no pressure or hard sales just useful information. Brandon was very informative, knowledgeable, honest, and went out of his way to accommodate my needs. He didn’t bad mouth any of the other makes I was comparing to the Outback, even offered comparisons online for me. It was not just the car I was sold on it was the salesman and the dealer as well. Brandon most defiantly made the difference, so much so I sent my Mother the next week and she bought one as well. My daughter will be next to join the Subaru family!

Better than expected!

After shopping for months, I chose to contact Landers McLarty for price comparison information but it turned into a great buying experience. Due to their customer focused approach, the buying process for my first Subaru went smoothly. Jodie, Bridgett, and Bill were helpful and provided all the information I needed, which was a pleasant surprise compared to other dealers. While I was deciding among several options, Jodie patiently offered help- although a couple of vehicles sold before I chose to buy a new model. Consequently, I got my Crosstrek with more than I wanted but quickly realized the upgrades will be appreciated.

Excellent customer service!

I hate buying a car and as a female, I do not always receive the best customer service. I like to do most of my car searching by using the internet and by emailing to and from the salesman. I always buy Subarus, so my decision was deciding whether to buy an Outback or Forrester and which dealership to use. Subaru holds it values, it does not depreciate as I drive the car off the lot. I have owned 10 Subarus and they always provide quality performance on the road. Many sales departments wanted to pressure sell and would only talk to me in person. McLarty Subaru respected my preference to start the negotiation through email. When I did go in to purchase my car, it was ready and so was the paperwork. I was able to quickly close the deal. No time during the process did I ever feel pressured. I received and paid exactly what was promised. Love the McLarty team and love my new Outback.

GET TWO SMART KEYS FOR YOUR USED CAR

MAKE SURE YOU GET 2 SMART KEYS FOR YOUR USED CAR. Watch out when you buy a used car that is not the make they sell. Bought a used toyota camry. Received only one key. Did not realize it is imperative to have two keys. Being a woman and a senior citizen had no clue how important that I was used. They are very expensive and being on a budget it is hard to pay that much for a second key. Loosing, misplacing or the battery goes out I will be stuck, picking up my grandson from school, doctors appointments or picking up important medications or food. As a elderly woman don't go and buy a used car alone. Somewhere down the line you will be taken advantage. They did not even know what exact year it was. Did not know the difference between a 2014 and a 2014.5. Maintenance could not tell me why there is no dipstick for the transmission fluid. Not enough knowledge about The car. The sales lady was great. I learned my lesson and now have to pay the price for another key. Smart keys are convenient but if you buy a used car and dont have all the information you are stuck with a big bill. Maintenance did not show me the knowledge for my particular make and and model. Will take my toyota to a toyota dealer. Reference the key I just have to suffer to get a second one just in case of an emergency. And who keeps extra batteries in the car. Be for real. But it is all about the mighty dollar. And not knowing everything I was taken. I would not recommend buying a used car that is not there model there. REMEMBER GET TWO KEYS YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU NEED THEM

New Car Purchase

I had received salesman contact information from a coworker. Made contact and the sales process was easy and low pressure. The issue was the day we picked the vehicle up. I had been texted earlier that day and was told that the car was ready to be picked up. I responded with, we would be there within a time frame of 5:30 - 6pm. The actual sales person was not available to assist us and we were given another sales person. He was very nice and apologized for the fact that he was working with another sale. In the mean time, we did an inspection and a test drive of the vehicle. When we returned we were put into an office that had most of the overhead lighting burned out. This made it difficult to read all the paperwork. We had purchased the vehicle with a trailer hitch, and it was in the sales contract. After inspecting the vehicle we found out that it was not installed on the vehicle. I asked the salesman about the hitch and he responded that if he had known about it, he would have made sure it was installed. Curious if they even check paperwork. The salesman was bouncing back and forth between offices trying to close both deals. I think that this process dragged on longer than it should have with them knowing our arrival time. Had we known that this process would take twice as long, we would have scheduled for the next day.

My experience with Landers McLarty Subaru was excellent from start to finish. My sales associate Julie was absolutely the best I have ever dealt with. She was so nice and helpful. We agreed on price and next day I picked up car for my 16 year old daughter and it was a beauty and in excellent condition. The whole team at Landers McLarty was so nice and very professional but again a huge shout out to Julie for a job well done. I will definitely be back for future vehicle purchases.

richard was the most awesome car salesman i've ever met. EVER. laid back, no pressure, no guilt, completely answered all my questions, quietly and expertly demonstrated all the exceptional features of the subaru forester. and he was completely genuine. not "suddenly my best friend laughing transparently at all my jokes", which i actually experienced elsewhere (always thought that was just a stereotype, but it exists). just a reasonable, level-headed NICE guy who was out to find the right vehicle for me after he made sure he listened to me and understood what i was looking for. already recommended him to a friend of mine who wound up getting an outback from them.
