This is the second time buying from LHM dealership and both times were great. I went to a couple other dealerships beforehand and the folks at LHM know what they’re doing and they’re happy to do it. We went in to Larry H. Miller hoping to find a vehicle that could be afforded on our budget. The staff was very helpful without being pushy, and our salesperson, Zac Huitt, was very invested in ensuring we got the best vehicle possible, and was most concerned about getting us into the vehicle on our wish list. The finance team listened to our concerns and set us up with warranty products to ensure we can drive our new vehicle for years to come. Truly exceptional experience (from a Marine's perspective)

I really cannot imagine a better experience with every person I've come into contact with (at least 5 I've had a real conversation with). First, Zac Huitt has been incredible I've been able to reach him after hours, on his day off, weekends, and he's worked quickly to find everything I need and really paid attention to the important details I gave him. Besides the down-to-Earth conversations, lack of the hard sale mentality, and quality listening skills, he introduced me to a great, great diesel mechanic, Scott Bailey, who answered all my questions from being a first-time owner and looking to be prepared for owning and driving a diesel as both a daily driver and as a pulling tool. He clearly explained major components of the diesel engine I was interested in, such as the EGR system, and covered topics such as oil changes, filters, oil qualities and weights, idling cautions, cooling cautions, and more. I feel much, much safer and prepared for the "diesel life." The finance guy was incredible, understood my position as a young guy borrowing a lot of money, and even found warranties that worked for me (I travel all over the states, so I need a warranty that is covered at an Ford service center). He went over the details of my contract and what each piece of paperwork needed, as well as provided digital copies of everything (after all signed and filled out). I legitimately cannot imagine what else I'd want from the experience of buying a new truck. xxxx, I even have a comfortable, quiet place to work while my truck is picked up, detailed, cleaned, and prep for me! I worked with Dan Price on finding the right Ford for me. I expected the process to be positive as he had just closed a similar deal with my wife as she found a new Ford escape. My dealings with Dan we’re always positive and helpful. He was able to find a car that was perfect for me. I very much enjoy my new 2019 Ford edge SEL. Wonderful experience working with Zac and the dealership overall. Zac was very professional, patient and helpful. I purchased a used Ford F-150 with cash and traded in a used Nissan Altima. Dealership was very reasonable negotiating prices. All of my questions were answered. Would highly recommend!

Avoid this dealer

Bought a 2015 F-150 Lariat brand new from this dealer. Then 2 years later, bought an additional truck, a brand new 2018 F-150 STX. Spent close to 90k for the 2 trucks. Sales process was decent, not the best, but ok. But don’t choose this dealer if you want service. They take for ever to get an appointment. You will spend half your day for an oil change. And cross your fingers that Ford makes a perfect truck for you. My 2015 has had one technical problem after then next with only 42k miles on it. Had to replace the main engine oil seal at around 10k miles, then the turbo had a leak, then a throttle body sensor. Then after all that, a fuel sensor went bad inside the fuel tank. Larry H. Miller did perform the above work, some under warranty, but not the fuel sensor since it was past 36k miles. Now I have a different overheating problem and needless to say, Larry H. Miller techs were of absolutely no value. They look things up on the computer and then parrot out xxxxxxxx like “i don’t see any bulletins or recalls, so we cannot help you. I’m not even making this up. So after buying nearly $100k in trucks within 2 years of each other from the same dealer, I will not be buying from Larry H. Miller and not only that, Ford clearly is having challenges in building a reliable truck. So this dealership has successfully made me a RAM, Silverado or GMC fan since now Ford and Larry H. Miller Lakewood are off the list of where to buy a truck.

It took way to long to get my vehicle fixed

My car was there for over 8 days to fix an oil leak. The technician working on it decided to leave the company which I wasn’t told until day day 8 and for some reason no one else could fix my car so it sat there for days until they could get another tech to finish it. I just kept getting excuses why my car wasn’t done. My other car that had the same exact problem was fixed in 3 days somehow their staffing was my fault and I was only given a small discount for my troubles. The discount didn’t even come close to the amount of time I was without my vehicle again because of no fault of my own. My service advisor tried to keep me up to date but the last 4 days he didn’t even return my calls. He would only text me so he didn’t have to talk to me. The cost ended up being more than I was originally told and I wasn’t given the invoices of the work that was done. Very bad customer service. It never should have taken that long.

I’m a believer again

My service experience at Larry Miller Ford this time was excellent. My last two service experiences were not and I was thinking about getting my truck serviced elsewhere. My service manager this time was James Mahoney and I couldn’t have been happier with him. He was courteous and professional and gave me a detailed explanation of the service performed on my truck and what I needed to have done next time. Also, my wait time this time was minimal, which hadn’t been my experience my last two times. I’m a believer again in the service department at Larry Miller Ford.

Still NOT Fixed

Made an appoint and was told to arrive at 7:30 am on a Friday. When arrived was told it would take several days before they could look over my truck. (What is the point in having an appointment?) Brought my truck in to have the transmission and brakes inspected. Of course they were unable to replicate the slipping of the transmission going up I-70. As for the brakes, they told me the pedal vibration was caused by the rear brakes and they should be replaced. After 500 plus dollars and FIVE days in the shop, they returned the vehicle with new rear brakes. The brake pedal STILL vibrates-not sure if they even worked on the truck. What a waste of time and money. Haven't had the time to complain about the problem not being fixed.

The service department is terrible

I custom-ordered a new Expedition and chose LHM based on their Costco recommendation. The sales process was fine and liked working with Rob. However, the service department leaves a lot to be desired. The first time I went to have the protective thing on the front fixed (there were a lot of air bubbles) was fine, but every visit since then has been a complete disaster. The folks that work in the service department really don't care, their computers are sometimes down which means they can't even work on your vehicle, and they don't call back when they say they will. I tried escalating with the service manager and never heard back from that guy. Overall, I would avoid LHM Ford in Lakewood, maybe not for purchasing a vehicle but definitely for servicing it. But at that point, if you're buying a new Ford, you probably want it serviced where you purchased it, so choose a different dealer.
