GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Jim made this experience fun and easy. My wife and I drove 4 hours to buy her 2019 GMC Terrain and we will be driving back in a few years when it is time to trade up on my truck. Even back home while we were car shopping, if we mentioned Laura Buick GMC, the salesperson would get a defeated look on their face and say "Oh, we can't compete with Laura". We ended up driving away in a brand new Terrain for less than our hometown dealers were charging for 4 year old used models. The dealership is huge but not overwhelming and very clean with great amenities and I felt very comfortable. I definitely recommend seeing Jim Lombardo at Laura. You will not be disappointed.

Untrustworthy & Unresponsive Seller

The reason for my one star rating for Laura Buick-GMC in Collinsville, IL, is based on my experience with the sales rep Tim Hughes. I purchased a 2013 Lexus from the dealership, with the expectation that regular maintenance was up-to-date. However I learned after the purchase and returning to Kansas City, that this was not the case. Soon after I started driving the car, the “Maintenance” light came on and did not go off. I took the car to a nearby dealership only to learn that the car needed new struts, new tires, the basic multipoint inspection and the 60K mile service… all of which should have been done before I purchased the vehicle. I reached out to Tim Hughes to see what the dealership would do to make this right and he said he would talk to his general manager and get back with me. Needless to say, it’s been a week and I still have not heard back from him or his manager. I am very disappointed and I feel like I got screwed by this salesman. And if that’s not enough, Tim told me he was sending me the 2nd key to the car in the mail, but I never received it. I even requested the tracking number, so that I could try to track down where it may have gone, but he said there was not one. So in addition to the expensive repairs I now have to be concerned with, I also don’t have the other key to my car. I would not recommend Laura Buick-GMC to anyone, as long as they have untrustworthy and unresponsive sales people working for them.

Great experience as always ! Steve Rogers made the sale of our new Canyon truck effortless and with no pressure. We took our car in for service, with Service Manager David Day, ( like Steve, another great dedicated employee) David and Steve arranged a loner for us, the truck we were interested in ! We drove it for the day and later purchased it that evening. Great deal ! Thank you Laura Buick GMC !

If you are considering the purchase of a Buick or GMC, buy one from these guys. I purchased a GMC Sierra Denali Truck and it's a fantastic vehicle. I just serviced it for the first time since my purchase, and the service was outstanding. David Day, my service consultant, was extremely courteous, knowledgeable and professional in every way. I was considering servicing my truck at a GMC Service Center closer to where I live, however after experiencing the Laura Buick/GMC Service Center for the first time, I will continue to service my truck there. You'll find the sales consultants are extremely professional as well. Ask for Kerry Carnes...........he's the best!

Took my car for a joy ride

Can I give a negative star? Was considering trading in my WRX on a new truck. Was drawn to Laura Buick GMC because of a decent advertised price. I test drove their vehicle in a reasonable, respectful manner. The salesman driving MY car however - tore out of the parking lot. It's obvious he didn't understand the modifications to my vehicle allow for data logging such as boost and RPM history. He had it at peak boost, 24.5psi and redline RPMs. I don't even drive it like that. The only explanation given by staff at that location is that "We have to make sure nothing is broken". Even novice mechanics know that's not how you check functionality. The manager made a point to walk out of the building as I was leaving to reiterate that point "We have to make sure nothing is broken.". I asked: "How would you like if I took one of your new vehicles to redline?" His reply was "Have at it - I don't care." That's the thing - I know you don't treat cars like that, since I want them to last, plus it's not mine. Especially new engines as they have a break in period. He made sure to tell me not to come back. There's plenty of dealerships around....I won't. It's a shame that it seems the way they test functionality of a performance car is running it to its limits...when they don't own it. Nothing close to an apology or semblance of accountability. Basically, a joy ride. Spend your money elsewhere. I will!

Johnny Weber is awesome! It’s the third truck I’ve bought from him in 5 years. Each time I have upgraded and he takes the necessary time to show me the new options; going over everything in great detail. I highly recommend seeing him if you are in the market for a new vehicle. Great experience, great truck

I drove 5 hours to buy my new GMC Sierra from Danny at Laura and it was worth it. I added some extras which they took care of on the spot ad got me out the door relatively quickly. It was a no-haggle purchase on the base price but I felt really pressured during the financing to the buy the extended warranty. This went on to the point of almost being called a dumb xxx by the finance guy for declining the extra coverage, which pushed me very close to cancelling the whole deal but I'm glad I stuck with it and am really happy with my truck. I'm an old Ford guy and this is my first GMC.

My sales person was Daniel Griffiths. Daniel was very helpful throughout the whole process of buying a new vehicle. Since I live in Jefferson City Mo., it meant so much to me that when I arrived at the dealership(Laura), everything that was agreed upon over the phone , was exactly as discussed. Daniel was very courteous, and went to great lengths to explain everything pertaining to the 2019 Sierra GMC Denali. Over all, an excellent experience. I would highly recommend Laura Buick GMC to anyone wanting to buy a new vehicle. As a foot note, my son is thinking about buying a new GMC pickup soon. I will definitely get him in contact with Daniel when that time comes.

I was looking for a Yukon Denali. A friend told me to look at Laura’s in Collinsville, which was over 100 miles from my home. I looked on line and contacted dealership. There were 2 on the lot that I was interested in. We drove to Collinsville and purchased the Yukon that day. The salesman was great. Great GMC dealer service!

Bought truck from Laura and I wanted to have them service the vehicle at least for the "two free" included oil change services. Normally this wouldn't seem like a big deal but it's a 45 min drive from home to the dealer. But as my previous review on the vehicle purchase noted the sales experience with Laura was so much better than any other dealer experience I have ever had. So I was curious how the service shop experience would be. I was pleasantly surprised. I wish I could say it was a fast as a "instant" service oil change but it wasn't. But that's OK for the peace of mind of have factory certified technicians and parts. The service was quick and accurate. I definitely will use them again. Though due to the distance I'm sure some "instant" service shops or a closer GMC dealer will still get a few urgent services that are difficult to schedule in a visit to their shop.

This is our third purchase in two years and every time has been great. Quick process, great facility, and top notch staff. There will always be good and bad reviews of any consumer place, if you go into the store and you're in a hurry but have no idea what you came for... it's not going to be a successful trip. If you research your vehicles, know what is to offer, what you want and how much you can spend, that is the hardest part. The rest is up to the dealer, and no one does it better than Laura Buick GMC. We recommend Laura to anyone who will listen, honestly I'm probably the main spokesman. Any time I overhear someone talking about buying a car and especially a truck, I tell them about this place. I live about and hour away and I tell everyone it's well worth the drive. Bottom line; I probably won't ever buy anything but a GMC, but I definitely won't ever go anywhere but Laura, and now that we've working with Jim Lombardo, we won't work with anyone but him. This last visit has been the best yet and Jim made it, he went over and above to help us with the exact vehicle we wanted and needed. Me and my wife are 29 so some dealerships don't treat our generation with much respect but Laura Buick GMC has made us life long customers, Thank you.
