They charge $999 for dealer fees, gap insurance $800 when you can get it for $250 elsewhere. Just a bunch of cheats. Stay away from this dealership

deceiving sales tactics

After purchasing my 2018 Jeep Cherokee and doing research (obviously too late), I read reviews of the same situations that happened to me. Leckner Chrysler Jeep and Dodge in King George, Virginia is advertising vehicles for prices that are super low and then adding crazy amounts of "upgrade fees" to the vehicle after. The Jeep I purchased was “on sale” for $9935 off of the advertised price. By the time I went to sign, the fees they added ended up making the vehicle only $1,000 off. I have never had so many fees at the time of purchasing a vehicle. I was told that there were dealer upgrades not listed on the sticker- however, there was no sticker at all and when I checked on uconnect’s website (similar to Onstar for Jeep vehicles), there are no dealer installed add-ons. Before buying the vehicle, I took it for a test drive. It drove great and after driving around for a bit, I took it back to the dealership. I opened the door and Adam L., my sales guy, asked me how it was. I told him I liked it but wished it had navigation. He said they could add that for $600 but that it had Apple Carplay so it wasn’t necessary unless I really wanted a standalone navigation system. I decided it wasn’t necessary if it had CarPlay and we went in to sign papers. When I went to leave, I realized they didn’t put gas in it so they sent another sales guy, Scottie B., to run and fill it up with gas. I asked him if he could help me figure out how to get CarPlay to work and he played around with it and asked where the sticker for the car was. I told him it didn’t have one on it. He said he didn’t think it had it but to take it to a local dealership later and “play stupid” and its probably just an upgrade they can install but Leckner’s upgrade system was down so they couldn’t do it there. I thought it was odd, but after spending over 4 hours at the dealership, I was ready to go. I got home and logged onto the uconnect website and, of course, there are no available updates. I tried several times to get in touch with a sales manager and after 8 or 9 failed attempts, I reached out to the Better Business Bureau. They sent two letters to them asking for clarification- both of which got no response. As a final attempt, they called the dealership and also got no response. After three failed attempts, the BBB closed the case and made a note on Leckner’s account. You can find that on their website. As a final step, I called Jeep’s corporate office and spoke to two people on two different occasions, both of which let me know that they spoke with the dealership (while I was on hold) and that the sales manager would reach out to me. That never happened, so today I called one more time and FINALLY got a hold of Dustin R., the sales manager. He told me that I shouldn’t have waited a month and a half after getting the vehicle and that his hands were tied. Nothing can be done. Oh, and Scottie doesn't work there anymore so he has no way to verify anything... BUYER BEWARE- Leckner is after your money and does not have your best interest in mind. Stay far away from their shady tactics and go elsewhere.

Worst Experience Ever, built on Lies

All I can say is I was totally disappointed in my experience. Actually it was my worst experience ever at a car dealership!!!! I talked to the sales man several times through phone calls and text messages. I wanted to make sure everything was correct before I drove 4 hours away. I made sure the Jeep I would be acquiring had power windows amongst other things. The price was advertised at $32k and I asked to make sure, there wasn't any rebates or anything. he said no Price is $32,400 special internet pricing. So I get there and to my surprise there was no power windows and to make it worst it didn't have keyless entry. You actually had to use a key to open the door. I said I haven't used a key to open a door in over 10 years. So right away it wasn't off to a good start. Then they were charging $1,200 for destination fee ( The most I've ever seen) then $999 for documents that cost $5 at most, then a processing fee that was also insane. You talk about a corrupt dealership, well here you have it!!! I wasted 8 hours in drive time around $100 in gas and tolls. The manager Dustin was a xxxxxx and made me much more pissed off then I already was, at least the sales man Jack was nice, but I definitely misled. Then at least Dustin apologized after I called him out on it. Worst dealership ever. I will never do business and unless they give me the $100 it cost me going out there on lies by them, I will write bad reviews on cars.com and everywhere else I possibly can. All I can say is wow! So almost $3000 in fees (Destination charge, document charges and processing fees) And they had the nerve to knock another dealership that I went to and loved. Poor customer service, they lie to customers to get them in the doors, and offered no resolution. Leckner Chrysler Dodge jeep and Ram, do not go to! Scam artists.

Honest and helpful staff

I recently purchased a Jeep Renegade with the help of Patrick and it was the least stressful car buying experience I have ever been a part of. He thoroughly answered every question I had, and trust me there were a lot. The Jeep is perfect for me and I cannot wait to go back to purchase my daughter a car in a few months!

Cam and Leckner are amazing!

This is dealership is awesome! I bought my 2018 Challenger from here and couldn't be happier. Cam was my salesman and he was 100% honest the entire time and treated me with absolute respect. Chris made everything easy and Dustin kept me laughing. Will never work with anyone other than Leckner!

I hate buying a car. I told this to Scottie and he did what he could to make it painless. Had the car ready to test upon my arrival, worked the deal with his boss (Chris), and got my information into finance. After I was told I was approved, I came back the next day to sign the paperwork. In and out of finance in less than an hour. Everyone is phenomenal!

I just bought a 2014 Dodge Charger from these guys. It was the best easiest experience I’ve ever had buying a car! I will definitely come back to purchase future vehicles here! Chris made sure I felt comfortable to drive all the way from Maryland to work with them! Brandon my sales professional was very easy to talk to and chill to work with and very informative. Great people easy to work with

Went to leckner Saturday and worked with Adam and Mickey. They were both very helpful and very easy to talk to and work with. We haggled about a price and we met in the middle would definatley go back again. Called today and spoke to Chris and he was very helpful with setting up a retorque for a DSI warranty even offered me a loaner to have this done. Great job by all. Kim in the finance department was also very kind and helpful!

Service nightmare

Came in to rotate tires on my 2017 dually. After service found that the dealer broke a TPMS sensor in the front wheel. Told to drive it and if will heal itself. BS. Second trip to repair 2.5 hours later they give me my truck back with one of the rear sensors not reporting. Tech is having difficulty getting his service tool to read. Again I am told to drive down the road.... Sensor doesn't register. DeL said he would call me back...one week later I have to call him. Now the third trip to the dealer and 5+hours of wait time the tech is attempting to fix again.... This is an unexceptionable wY to do business. Lazy tech, of lazy service manager? My guess is both. Take your Ram somewhere else for service.

Worst dealership experience ever

Our visit yesterday went awful. We arrived at 6:02 and basically waited around until 6:25 without even looking at a vehicle or talking with a sales person. I had been email Scottie back and forth and had confirmed we would be there yesterday around 6/6:30pm. Apparently he decided to go to the store and we stood there waiting with no help from anyone else. We decided to leave as this was unacceptable. To top is off there were 2-3 employees standing around another computer and didn't offer to help and there were literally NO OTHER CUSTOMERS there at all.

I would not recommend this dealer.
