Impossible to get Warranty Repair

My local Lexus of Kendall (FL) dealer nor Lexus corporate have resolved a problem with my 2013 ES300h after many attempts. Lexus of Kendall dealer said if I maintain my car with them they will fight for me should there be any problem with the manufacturer in the future, so I did. Well, I reported a defect in the backseat leather shortly after my 25k maintenance appointment November 2016 while my car was under warranty. The backseat perforated leather dried and shrunk causing tension on the rest of the seat. It feels very rough and hard to the touch. The manager at the dealer took photographs, and said he will contact the manufacturer. After several months of leaving messages with Lexus of Kendall operator and voicemails I was told the manager no longer works there, and another manager (Bernardo) took over his work. I came in person to meet with new manager March 2017, by which point the problem area became larger, and same problem started to happen on the other side. He took more photos, said it's not a Lexus defect because on one side it is "perfect circle". I contacted corporate, submitted photos, and they asked Bernardo to weigh in. He said I caused the damage but could not explain how, and if there was a defect in the leather he would not be able to tell unless the leather was taken off and he can examine the back side of it. Corporate said I will need an expert in leather to run tests and determine the cause. I have never heard of such a response for warranty coverage. They denied to fix my car while under the warranty. I contacted the 3rd party dispute resolution address, provided by Lexus, several times with no reply. I purchased the car used with 6k miles in 2013 in perfect condition. Since then I rarely used or had passengers in the backseat. When I did have passengers the trips were short, just a few blocks in the city, and my passengers are slim. My car is stored under a carport, in a garage when I am at work, and my windows are tinted so the inside temperature does not get hot often. I have had others cars such as Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Honda over 100k miles and much older that did not have such quality issues even with daily use. My Lexus has premium leather with Luxury package, it should withstand at minimum light use. The problem from initial report to current has grown in size, and continues to grow. Terrible dealer customer service and misinformation, terrible experience with corporate. First and last Lexus.

LAZY LYING MECHANICS

I bought a Lexus certified NX200t 2 weeks ago and the wiper fluid was not spraying onto the windshield. The pump would make a noise and I’d hear the fluid falling on the floor. I went to Lexus of Kendal and was told that the pump was malfunctioning (although it clearly was pumping fluid on to the ground). They scared me away saying the front bumper would need to be removed and most likely I would have to pay out of pocket because factory warrant would most likely not cover me. I went to JM Lexus and had the car fixed and washed in an hour and a half.... The problem was a leaking hose (makes more sense than a malfunctioning pump).

I would not recommend this dealer.

Not a great experience, Get things in writing!!

As a long time Lexus customer, I decided to do business with Lexus of Kendall because I expected the buying process to be on par the high standards Lexus has. Sadly, this was NOT the case. According to the walls at the dealership, Lexus of Kendall has achieved the "Elite of Lexus" award, which is prestigious among Lexus dealers. However, I was not treated in a manner consistent with this high honor. I strongly urge anyone doing business with this dealership to get everything agreed upon in writing, as well inspect the vehicle in person with your own eyes.

They damage my credit the first month I got my car

Never again!!! The sales person very nice and attentive, everything is beautiful when you go to buy, he was a great sales person BUT the finance department (lexus financial bank) damage my credit score on the first month I get my car, they never send any paperwork or bill or invoice NOTHING. I called the dealership and they told me that not worried that the first payment always late so it’s my first time doing a lease so I believe what they said and wait WELL 45 days later they call me that I was 30 days late and put that mark on my credit AS A CONSEQUENCE MY CREDIT GO DOWN FROM 722 to 570 just like that because they can’t do their job. Run for this place, to many dealers. I WOULD NEVER BUY FROM LEXUS AGAIN. Go to a serious dealer with a serious bank!

GREAT SALESMAN but POOR FINANCIAL ASSOCIATE & POOR PAPERWORK

SALES PERSON JOSE GARCIA WAS AWESOME AND GREAT BEST SALES GUY YOU WOULD HAVE MET AND DID A GREAT JOB WORST SERVICE GIVEN BY FINANCE GUY ALFRED OLIVARES. EVERYTHING WRONG, HALF HEARTED JOB SO MANY MISTAKES. SOLD ME 3RD PARTY INSURANCE WHICH DID NOT COVER WHAT I WANTED AND WHEN ASKED FOR PROOF WAS GIVEN A RUN AROUND. STILL DID NOT GET MY MONEY BACK FROM CANCELLED INSURANCE.

Excellent customer oriented orientation

WORST customer service EVER

I have lived the worst situation dealing with Lexus of kendall dealer. After being a customer for over 3 years, I think I have received the worst treatment and worst customer service. I do not recommend this dealer to anybody, they know how to persuade you to take a car from them, very good sales people, they called me almost every day to renew my lease, until I got tired of their post sale service and decided to change to gunther mazda in fort lauderdale, fl. At this dealer they only care about about the sale. To make a long story short, after I ended my lease 1 year and a half ago, I have been trying to get lexus of kendall dealer to give me the wear and tear company they sold me the insurance through, and sales person doesn't reply texts, phone calls, or even I have been to the dealer and every one seems to wash their hands with my case. Also, AND THE WORST, they told me they would take care of the miles when I traded in my previous lexus, and now I am in collection because lexus's has taken forever to take action in my case. I know is my fault i signed the thousands of pages of contract they make customers sign, and failed to read that lexus is not responsible for miles, however I do remember the sales guy telling me lexus would remove the excess miles because that is the reason why renewed my first lease with them. So, WORST DEALER EVER IN MIAMI, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, WORST EXPERIENCE, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALER.

Great experience at Lexus of Kendall. Walked in on a Thursday afternoon to smiling faces and no pressure. My sales consultant, Cecilia Redonda, kept everything relaxed and friendly. She was incredibly patient and truly my advocate going above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. Karla and Alfredo were very helpful, too. Got a very good deal and couldn't be happier! : )

I have been buying Lexus for over 15 years and I have never had such an amazing salesperson. Very professional, and attended to every need in a timely manner. I read the previous review, and the assessment couldn't be anything further from the truth. I'm guessing they didn't get the deal they wanted and were upset. My husband sold cars, so I can read through the BS. Thank you Shane Bell for a memorable experience. Definitely ask for Shane at Lexus of Kendall. BTW John P. was excellent as well.

Extremely disrespectful and dishonest. Change deals at last minute and then act like it's your fault when you show them the quote they gave you. Went and told a different manager about the situation and he laughed and walked away. This whole situation says more about their character. Stay away. This place was shady from the start, from the moment I saw their obnoxious attitude. Customer service is everything and this place, salesmen and managers have been incredibly rude, dishonest, and could not care less, hence their arrogance. Not even real luxury dealers are like this.

Unparalleled Customer Service

Today, at Lexus of Kendall, I had the most unique dealership experience that I have ever had. Mr. Bob King was ever so gracious, inquisitive and insightful. He asked keen questions that helped him to hone in on what car would best suit my lifestyle. He personally escorted us to each department. All of the small touches- an offer of water or a door held open- were what sealed the deal for me before I drove off of the lot. The atmosphere is tranquil and tastefully decorated. Even the lighting has been curated to provide peaceful environment. Between your more than courteous staff and the ample attention lavished on us, I will return for all of my future car buying needs.
