The best dealership experience I’ve had

By Mark917 on 11/11/2017 at 12:44 PM. Helped by Paul Toner.

From start to finish, the team of professionals at BMW of Brooklyn exceeded all expectations. I leased my prior Bimmer on Long Island but when I was looking for a replacement, I checked out other dealers and the Brooklyn One was the most attentive and courteous. Happy in my new 330!

I would recommend this dealer.

made buying a new car relatively easy

By Solomon.A on 11/4/2017 at 4:50 PM. Helped by Shahid Saleem.

i get new cars every 2-3 years and usually the experience is dreadful. i have to haggle, complain about BS fees that spontaneously appear out of nowhere at the time of signing, or the sales people lie. sometimes all of the above. this was probably my first ever car buying experience that didn't involve any of the above. i came in. asked about the car i wanted. i was offered a car off the lot close to what i wanted or a custom order. the first price they gave me was very good and honestly i would have agree to it anyway, it was THOUSANDS less than other BMW dealerships around NYC. but i got them to take it down a little more. i ordered the car, the car showed up, no surprises here. this is how it should be but unfortunately usually isn't. i have to commend them on how they handled me. i came in expecting to be tricked or lied to as usual, so i was a little brash and all around xxxxxx. but they were nice to me through the whole process. so thank you for that and i apologize for giving you guys a hard time. there is no question that i will be coming back here.

I would recommend this dealer.

Purchase of Certified pre owned BMW

By Giovanna on 10/13/2017 at 9:55 PM.

Alex was an excellent salesman. He was courteous, easy to speak with and understanding. He explained everything to me in a easy to understand way. I will definitely come back to BMW of Brooklyn for my next purchase and have already recommended him to my sister who will be returning a lease next year and change over to BMW of Brooklyn. Also, Manny from Finance was very well mannered and explained in detail all the terms and Justine was great in explaining how the car worked. BMW of Brooklyn has an excellemt staff and I highly recommend them.

The best Service Advisor, Colton! Great Service Center!

By willconnect on 10/7/2017 at 3:51 AM. Helped by Colton Salazar.

I'd like to take some time to write this review from my truth experience with BMW of Brooklyn Service Center. Just want to be upfront that I didn't buy my car from BMW of Brooklyn. I always been skeptical about any dealerships in NYC as they've known to rip people off in NYC. I used to take my car to NJ for service but I took a chance this time and brought my car in BMW of Brooklyn for simple oil change just to get a feel of Service Center. However my whole experience with BMW of Brooklyn and my Service Advisor, Colton S. had changed my view completely. Colton is true professional and knowledgeable about BMW. He spent time to explain to me about my BMW warranty & maintenance coverage even this wasn't my 1st BMW. For maintenance items, he went over with me one by one and made sure my car didn't miss anything. For issue that required diagnostic, he would be upfront about the dealership diagnostic fee and even would work with his manager to make sure the repair items covered by warranty. Colton even emailed me on his day off and gave me an update of my car. He's the type of professional guy that makes this Service Center earned the 5 stars. Management should consider give him a raise/promotion and big bonus! Aside from Colton, everyone in the Service Center are very courteous and helpful. My overall experience is very positive and will return if my BMW needs any service again.

I would recommend this dealer.

My BMW's and myself are the super stars!

By Chunner on 9/28/2017 at 7:09 PM.

Yes, I am here again and wow…… What a service center. I always feel like the red carpet is on the service floor at this service center and my BMW's and myself are the super stars. BMW of BROOKLYN is the only place I will ever bring my weekend ultimate driving rocket machine. An honest assessment of the repair needed, technical know-how, fair pricing, genuine BMW original equipment parts and a knowledgeable staff. Danny Dermody and Nick Giordano are my service advisers. Love them like family!

The name's changed, the people are the same

By melamedd on 8/29/2017 at 4:13 AM. Helped by Nick Giordano, Michael Granito, Maria DuPont, Lauren Frisica.

BMW in Brooklyn changed its name recently. For everyone who loves BMW, who considers himself as a member of Great and Glorious BMW family this event means something. For me it is an acknowledgment of the fact that this dealership belongs to us – brooklynites, serves us, helps us , exists as a part of our connection to BMW. It was my first visit to the same facility after its renaming. The same people met me inside, same smiles, same no-formal interest of my well-being, my business, and my day. From the very first moments I immersed into the atmosphere of friendship, care and confidence that everything would be all right. All team was working as one whole mechanism, synchronized and attuned to help me. I dare to suggest that everyone of us who comes here feels the same because I am just an average customer not long ago acquired a beautiful but not fancy and expansive BMW X1. I am a retired person with no connections, meaning there is nothing special about me and still I feel there as VIP. Everyone from this wonderful team is treating us as the special guests just by doing their everyday duties. Isn’t that amazing? Michael Granito meats you at the entrance, takes your car and fluently checks its appearance. He does it in such way that it would never hurt your dignity no matter what condition your car in at the moment. Two young ladies at the front desk: Maria DuPont and Lauren Frisica help with documents, filling up the papers for a loaner and besides all are the first buffer that absorbs all kind of questions, requests, complains and any possible curious things that could happen. Robert Gilberto - the service advisor shortly but very much coherently explains what tests would be done for your car, what you can expect after and when everything would be done. It is useful to say that he always keep his word. It would not be possible for any team to work like that without a right supervision carried out by Manager Nick Giordano. I believe his guidance, his ability to maintain this atmosphere of friendship in the team that comes to us does make a difference in the whole servicing process. I sincere apologize if I did not mention anybody from this great team by name. I did not do it purposely. I hope next time I will be introduced to other people who is helping me there. I like the new name of our dealership but I have to say that it is not the name that adorns the business, it is the people who make the name shines. Thank you.

I would recommend this dealer.

Exemplary

By LQBMW3 on 7/1/2017 at 3:43 PM.

I have leased my third BMW from Life Quality BMW (now Brooklyn BMW) and have leased or purchased many vehicles over the years. My prior advisor retired and I work with Alex Gilkis. You can look as far and wide as you want in the tri-state area and you will not find a better dealership or advisor by a wide margin and on all of the factors that are important -- honesty, accuracy, attention to detail, fairness and follow-through. I strongly encourage you to meet with Alex Gilkis. He and the dealership are exemplary.

Rude and unprofessional

By garshobi on 6/29/2017 at 7:43 PM.

I was notified by BMW that my BMW Assist was to be disconnected, and was offered a 200$ prepaid Visa card in exchange for the inconvenience. To fulfill the terms, I had to bring my car in to the dealership, which I did. After my BMW Assist was disconnected, I was told that, "we aren't doing the vouchers anymore". I returned home and called BMW, who said no, in fact, the voucher program was still valid, and would be valid until the next year. I called the Nick but got no response until I threatened to contact his supervisor. Of course then he called back within ten minutes, but was rude, offered no apology for the mix up, and was lackadaisical about offering a solution. He even implied that I'd have to return to the dealership. Nick Giordano is the sort of employee that kills a dealership like LQBMW. In any case, I'm done with them. Meanwhile, I've contacted the BMW corporate headquarters, who were very gracious and apologetic, and have pledged to resolve the issue.

What a rip off!

By One of Us on 5/19/2017 at 6:31 PM. Helped by Neil.

Herein lies the problems with my whole experience at this shop; The sheer ineptitude and arrogance of the service department is an embarrassment. Their way of operation to gouge the owners and BMW is what gives dealership services the bad reputation. They charged fees for services not rendered and lied about it. The disrespect and disregard of the value of customers’ time, money and energy. Lesson learned, hope this helps you in anyway when decided where to take your BMW for service.

Georgio (I think was his name) drove me home via their shuttle service. Let me start by saying that this guy was no nice and genuine, he conversed with me the whole ride home. There was no awkwardness whatsoever. He is also very patient and polite. I hope that Life Quality keeps him around, he's the type of person they need.

I am happy to be with BMW

By melamedd on 5/3/2017 at 1:15 AM.

About 6 month ago I shared my impression of the experience of getting a new BMW X1 on the fields of this very useful website. It was really a pleasant one provided to me by Rory DeLouise and the manager Paul Toner. They did show themselves as the excellent representatives of Sales Department of Life Quality BMW. Today I would like to thank the other humble members of BMW family who does not sell the gorgeous cars but who makes them running flawlessly, who services them the way that does make a difference in our lives. It happens that my car started malfunctioning. Not being an expert in this field I called Life Quality BMW and described the problem. From the very first moments of my conversation with the service representative (I apologize that being nervous I did not catch his name) I felt that I am in the reliable hands of a specialist. He immediately diagnosed the possible causes of the problem, calmed me down and advised to come to the service facility as soon as I could. As it was always before at BMW I was met by very friendly people. This way we receive our relatives especially when they need our help, our empathy and support. I did not even notice how I found myself next to the service adviser who introduced himself as Robert. He patiently explained to me what could happen to the car, what we can expect in regards of its “recovery”. Since this mishap occurred abruptly and I had my personal plans (as we all always do) I asked Robert about a loaner car. He honestly replied that the next one would be available in a week or so. I even did not have enough time to digest this very unpleasant news trying to re-plan in mind my business, considering all inconveniences of my predicament as he immediately added that if there would be some changes in the situation (somebody will cancel the appointment, one of the cars will be repaired faster than expected etc.) he reserves the loaner for me. We all know how difficult is to get the loaner and how badly we need it when we are “deprived” of our car. I thought Robert just was trying to calm me down by giving me the hope. But I was wrong. People at Life Quality BMW keep their word. Robert called as soon as the loaner car became available. My car was repaired exactly in time that was promised. I am not mentioning the things that we get used to and accepting them for granted: the car was washed, cleaned and set back to all the settings I preferred. It is not needless to mention that Robert’s boss Nick was not indifferent to the service provided by his associates. He display a great deal of concern and was extremely proud to learn that the client(myself) left pleased, satisfied and much happier than he drove in just a couple of days ago. These people - Robert Gilberto and Nicholas Giordano who work for Life Quality BMW services actually are working for us, making sure that we feel ourselves as the members of the Glorious BMW family. Anything could break but not everyone could make it feels almost unnoticeable, smoothly and efficiently giving his hand and his heart the way he would do it for his close relative, the way he would do it for himself. This attitude makes the name of BMW; these actions make us come back time and again to its dealerships. Thank you very much Robert, thank you Nick, thank you BMW for having such beautiful workers who make a difference in our lives.

Not so courteous

By Jodysica on 4/22/2017 at 4:14 AM. Helped by Chris.

I purchased my X5 from Life Quality BMW of Brooklyn NY. From the beginning the overall experience was a nightmare, first they delivered a scratched up brand new car that was dirty. Now the vehicle needed to be serviced, the technician discovered that transmission had an oil leak.My service advisor Chris informed Me that BMW had authorized a new transmission replacement. The service department furnished me with a X5 for a loaner however A couple of days later Chris called me and demanded that I return the loaner car. The initial reason he gave Me was that because the part was on back order they couldn't have Me driving their loaner car for so long, however they did offer me a rent a car that they would pay for. That was ok but when I told them I was going to be away for a week and couldn't return the vehicle until I return from My vacation they had someone call me (Maria) on a daily basis harassing me while I was on vacation demanding that I bring back their loaner immediately. Maria Now had offered Me a new reason for the urgency to return the loaner car. Now the new reason was that the X5 that they loaned Me was in fact sold and that they needed the car back so that it can be Delivered to its new owner, I thought that's interesting. In fact Life Quality BMW was so Adamant and insistent that they offered to send someone out to repossess the vehicle with their spare key. Again I promised to return the car which had I had installed my kids car seats in on Thursday as soon as I was back from my trip. It became clear that they just wanted the vehicle back not because it was sold but because they just didn't want to have it out for an extended period while the part to my vehicle was on order.Totally Understandable However there's no need to lie about it! And no need to harass and inconvenience your customers, After all This is BMW and this dealership and it's deceitful cost cutting methods should learn to respect its customers. After all of this it went from bad to worse as promised I returned the loaner as soon as I got back from my trip. When I showed up at the service department Chris had the car checked in and he sent out for the rental car company to come pick me up, I was brought to a Enteprise rental lot on 64th street in Brooklyn with a trailer office on the lot, then I was charged a deposit for the rental and realized that I didn't have my wallet so I had to return to the dealer service department, now Chris call me a cab to take me home, I collect my wallet and my wife drives me to Enteprise Rental to finish the rental agreement, the representative tells me that Life Quality will only pay for a compact sedan, I have two small children one of which is a special needs pediatric cancer patient. I need an SUV so I call Chris at Life Quality and ask if they could upgrade me to an SUV Chris then called Nick Giordano who said promptly denied To authorize a $12 addition to the daily rental rate for the SUV upgrade so cheesy I made my skin crawl. Talk about courtesy you ain't getting none from this Service Manager! Prior to this issue I even reached out to Nick Giordano and left a detailed voice message so that I can share with him my point of view and my experience with this matter, He didn't even bother to return My call again no courtesy there. It Looks like Life Quality BMW feels that because they have the only BMW dealership in Brooklyn it's their position that regardless of what some customers think they will just keep on rolling, so what if they have a few disgruntled customers that speak up! Overall Life Quality BMW is Not a place where privileged clientele will be treated with the high level of service that they deserve and are used to. No better than a back street user car dealer. I can assure you that I will never bring my business back there. G. Sica

NO call backs

By steven on 4/7/2017 at 6:36 PM. Helped by Leesing company.

New 7 series dropped off at my home by nice kid without any knowledge of how car works. A sensor problem warning came on and he stated someone would call me the next day to go over car. No one called. I called dealership numerous time to ask to speak with sales manager. As per front desk he/she was never available. Leasing person contacted dealership for me. No call back. Called BMW of North America hopefully that will prompt a call back. To many good BMW dealerships to buy from here. Why was a car delivered with a warning light on?? They don't care is the answer!

Worst experiences ever

By Carmen on 3/22/2017 at 8:37 PM.

Stay away from Mike Ryan. Absolutely disappointed with Mike Ryan's service. In the beginning, he was playing with his phone and didn't seem to care about his sales. He never introduced himself. Prices he offered were great so I couldn't walk away even though he's extremely unprofessional. I had to call into the office the next day, describing his face to actually know his name because like I said, he never introduced himself. After about 2 weeks, I finally settled into a deal with him. The car that I wanted was sold over the weekends, ok that's fine. His response was, "Well, it's been two weeks since we starting speaking." But he was so unresponsive and didn't actually call us on his own. We have to call him and rush him to find out more information. Then, we settled on the next car that he promised that he will call us in a couple of hours to confirm he can trade with another dealer. We did not hear a word from him on that day, gave him 5 calls the next day, still no news. Third day came and we had to call him over and over to locate him to hear him say he will give us a refund ..... what? So so disappointed. Such a waste of time. I was so ready for my new ride. He's unreliable, unprofessional and unresponsive. Stay away from this salesman.
