TERRIBLE!! FRAUD! BEWARE.

By ChristopherFulton on 8/29/2018 at 8:30 PM. Helped by Matthew Dangerfield Anoush Sadegh.

The team at Mercedes Benz Encino is the WORST. From classic bait and switch techniques to hundreds of dollars in hidden fees after the fact, Matthew Dangerfield and the team couldn’t care less about their customers or their needs. Hours have been wasted dealing with the aftermath of the charges and fraud. They pocketed the Drive Off and Registration fees for the car, sending me home with bogus plates on the car. I received a bill for hundreds of dollars after the fact. This dealership has MULTIPLE terrible reviews for fraud and unscrupulous practices as well as other horror stories. Mercedes Benz Encino is currently under investigation for fraud by American Express, the California DMV and Mercedes Benz Corporate.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Good Saleman-Bad Manager

By ChrisD on 10/25/2017 at 11:19 PM. Helped by Tyler Kim.

I purchased 2018 GLE after seeing it from TrueCar and I have verified the price from another internet sale site. Tyler Kim was very helpful and patient with me but his manager does not seems to be supportive. We arrived 1.5 hours before it closes with all paperworks already emailed. the manager were pushing Tyler to hurry up because they are closing in an hour; infront of me. I thought that was rude and showing no importance to the customers. I paid the car in full with personal check so less paperworks done on site.

I would recommend this dealer.

INSURANCE FRAUD! Worst Service Department!

By Anonymous on 9/5/2017 at 8:34 PM. Helped by Drew Herman.

To make a long and painful story short, I took my car in due to a check engine light, and after 3 days of my car being at the service department and a lot of run around they told me that a rat chewed on wires from the fuel tank, and repeatedly insisted I open an insurance claim! Also, the gas gauge stopped working while the car was there, and ultimately, I declined repair of my car since I felt they were not being honest and wanted a second opinion. I had another auto repair shop inspect the vehicle and they found clean cuts of wires that were obviously done with a wire cutter!!! This place is soooooo sketchy! Avoid at all costs!!!

Worst car dealers

By SK on 10/28/2016 at 4:12 PM. Helped by William.

Con artist. Don't buy anything from this place. They will sell you stuff saying it is pre certified but be careful and read each and every line. They have really low standards. Make sure you look at the tires, brakes and any wear and tear parts because they will be really low or about to break but they will not explain this during the sale.

Bought a lemon

By Mamajamia on 7/26/2016 at 3:43 AM. Helped by Kevin.

This dealership sold me a lemon. I've had my car, brand new C300 for 5 months now, it has been in for service 3 times, various reasons. Now the dash material is peeling off and cuts my skin. This is my 3rd Mercedes purchased with them, and this is my first ever problem car and they won't do anything to remediate this situation. I have a 3 year lease on this lemon and they say their hands are tied? Buyer beware of driving off the lot with any car, you will be stuck with it. And if you have a problem, they will tell you to take it up with Mercedes corporate , as they are an independent dealership. Shame on you Mercedes of Encino, horrible customer service. I will never buy a car from here again.

I would not recommend this dealer.

iI DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO COME TO THIS MERCEDES ENCINO

By john on 5/31/2016 at 4:35 PM. Helped by HENRIK NAZARIAN AND DAVID FLODQUIST.

I have bought cars from this Mercedes dealer. The cars that I bought from this dealer turned out to be broken in one way or another. Every time we go to get the car fix they act like they fixed it, but they didn't the cars still have the same problem. The service manager of the dealer, David Flodquist was the most disrespectful when we were talking to this person. I do not recommend anyone to come to this dealer because of their lies and disrespectful manner when it came to talking to the customer. No one trust this dealer, this dealer sold me a car that was in an accident. The man who sold me this car was named Mr. Henrik he did not tell me that the car was in an accident. Everyone at this dealer are all liars. Do not trust this dealer.

Horrible customer service & nasty tricks to lease you a car

By Ed on 1/3/2016 at 1:08 AM. Helped by Shimon Broshinsky, Larry Killingsworth.

My personal experience with this "dealership" was literally terrible, I mean even unbelievably worse I could ever imagine. Shimon Broshinsky (the sales manager "trying to help" me) is the worst ever sales representative and the worst ever manager I've ever dealt with in my 38 years. After finding out I was leasing the car for my wife, he kept saying in the presence of my wife that I was not the type of a guy who deserves the Mercedes brand, and that if I was a “real man” I should agree to the prices and terms he was offering, and would get the car for my wife at any cost. After that conversation, my wife left the dealership. I explained to this person that it was very rude and unethical of him, and after he admitted he was wrong - I left the dealership. Because I really wanted to get the car for my wife, and because their dealership was very close to my workplace, I came back the next day during my lunch time, and asked the girl in the front desk to let Shimon know that I returned to the dealership, determined to lease a car. She was very nice, and immediately called Shimon, and he answered that I should wait. After waiting for approximately an hour, I asked the girl to contact Shimon again, and when she called, he yelled at the poor girl and hung up the phone on her. I left the dealership again. After several hours one of the sales persons called me and said Shimon was asking me to return to the dealership because this time he prepared something good for me. Because it was December 30th, and because I had already spent so much time on this, at the same time rejecting several offers from other dealers, I decided to give those guys the last chance to finish what we had already started, and to celebrate the New Year with a good gift to my wife. So I came back. Shimon still seemed very arrogant and disrespectful to me. His tone, gestures and manners towards me were really annoying. After talking to me only for a minute, he said, “I’m keeping my car. I’m not giving you any car”. Then he intentionally turned around and started talking to another customer in their native language (I believe Jewish/Hebrew or Farsi, not sure though). From time to time, he was laughing and looking at me, and I felt he was mocking or defaming me. I had the impression this person was using his managerial power to take advantage over others, including customers and his employees, and that he was enjoying his position through his arrogant attitude toward other people. I was nervous and shocked, and to avoid any worse experience, I told him I wanted to see his supervisor/manager. After waiting for a while, someone like him came (Larry Killingsworth), wasted my time, and then left me sitting alone in an uncertainty. After sitting for a moment, I approached Shimon and Larry in their office, and expressed my disappointment about their behavior and customer service. Shimon said that this is how they work, and if I didn’t like it I could leave, lease a cheaper car, and sue them. I told him that was awfully unacceptable, and that I'd like to share my opinion and to express that shame to their supervisor(s) and certainly to the owner(s). Shimon said nobody else was above him in his workplace, even though the dealership had a finance director and a general manager (in one of my prior requests to see someone above him Shimon had previously told me that only his God was above him, and nobody else in the world). I still insisted to see someone who able and willing to solve the problem. To my numerous requests to talk to the owner, Shimon said that the owner was in Dubai, and that I could not ever meet him, and that the only way to communicate with the owner was if I left a message with their employees, who might later let the owner know. Then I asked, “so you are actually doing whatever you want here, correct Shimon?” He answered “Yes, that’s correct. I do whatever I want”. Eventually, I left after all these, and found an excellent car for my wife from another Mercedes dealership. However, there are no words I can express my frustration and disappointment about Mercedes-Benz of Encino after visiting them for 3 consecutive days. I was trying to enjoy the process of getting a new car but these people wasted my time, energy, and nerves. It's unbelievable and unacceptable how such a stellar company like Mercedes-Benz could tolerate having this type of people representing their brand and their name. In one word, my experience/opinion about Mercedes-Benz of Encino is TERRIBLE!

I would not recommend this dealer.

Best experience with Encino dealership

By Angel on 11/20/2015 at 10:46 PM. Helped by Saeed Golshani.

We have been Keys clients forever til we decided to give Encino Mercedes dealership a chance and that was the best decision. We entered the dealership having no idea what model we wanted and Saeed Golshani, so patiently took us to see all cars and models, and as soon as we chose what we liked, making the deal was a breeze. Saeed is very patient, he listens and once you know what you want he makes it happen. We thank Encino dealership, Saeed and Anoush to make our car buying experience a very pleasant one.

Bad Customer Service

By Murlow on 11/3/2015 at 2:39 AM. Helped by Vadim Antipov.

The internet service manager would not give me an e-quote and instead tried to convince me to go into the dealership to negotiate a better price. When i informed the manager that I preferred to negotiate via email so that I have it in writing he pretty much blew me off. This dealership won't be receiving my business and why call yourself "internet sales" when you are not willing to negotiate online. Seems odd to me.

Best service I have ever recieved at a Mercedes Dealership

By jim556 on 9/25/2015 at 6:29 PM. Helped by Nicki, Grace and Jose.

I have a 2005 E55 and for about the past 6 months I have been smelling gas when I go in my garage in the morning. I went on line and sure enough there was info about this problem. I contacted Drew Herman at Mercedes of Encino and he asked that I bring the car in for inspection. Drew found the problem, which was to replace the fuel tank and the other necessary parts. The whole ordeal took only one day to resolve and get my car repaired. Drew and his team (Nicki, Grace and Jose) were totally nice, accommodating and professional. The best part was not just that the people treated me wonderful and did a great job on my car but, that the entire repair was covered under warranty (it normally would have been approx. $2,400.) on my 10 year old vehicle. I can't say enough good things about the service I received. Kudos Drew !

Best experience I've ever had at a dealership! They properly diagnosed and explained the issues I was having with my 2012 ML350 and properly fixed it! From their competent service manager (Mike) and his friendly staff, I can give nothing but 2 thumbs up on the entire experience. Bonus: They also serve you cappuccinos & espresso while you wait. 5 stars!

Worst Service Ever! They messed my car up and ripped me off!

By RippedOff on 4/28/2015 at 10:13 PM.

This is by far the worst service department I have ever dealt with. They not only sold me a warranty but they ran up the charges on the warranty till the warranty company refused to service my car anymore. They stated they replaced my motor mounts every single time i went in for service and charged my warranty $300 a pop when the mount i later found out is only $40. Not sure how they even get away with this xxxxxxxx under the Mercedes flagship. To top it all off they broke my oil pan by over tightening the screws then told me my oil can is broken and need to spend $1200 to replace it. If you like getting ripped off be sure to go here so they can screw you over and over and over again. I would give it negative stars if i could. You would be better off taking your Mercedes to a Ford dealer for service.

I had the best experience I have ever had at a Mercedes...

By LWL777 on 3/7/2014 at 9:38 PM. Helped by Monica (receptionist).

I had the best experience I have ever had at a Mercedes dealer today, with James in the parts department. BUT when I called to speak with his supervisor, to give him recognition for his outstanding service (something I have never done) things took a VERY UGLY turn. Monica the receptionist answered, and I simply told her "I had a great experience in the parts department today, and would like to speak with someone in charge". There was a long pause followed by an extremely rude "So who do you want? Service? Sales? What?" I then told her, no I want a manager in charge of the parts department, and then asked her why she was so upset. She raised her voice and said "JUST TELL ME WHO YOU WANT?!" At that point I said, just give me your supervisor, your behavior is bizarre. She then Hung up on me. I called back immediately, and she picked the phone up, and hung up again without saying anything. I called back over and over, but she would just pick up and hang up. Finally she just picked up and put me on hold without speaking. I was about to come back down there, and speak with a manger face to face. But I decided to look under the "contact us" section of your website first, and found a different number. I called directly and got in touch with a sales manager named "Larry". He said "Not to make excuses but Monica is new here". I don't know what he meant by that, but people are usually extra nice and careful when they start a new job. I then let him know what a great Job James did from parts, but that I would now never return there. I paid cash to you guys for my Mercedes 2 years ago, and was excited to order the top of the line "2015 S550 Coupe" when it releases at the end of this year. Now, I will go somewhere else to order it. Sad, when I was just calling to say how happy I was with one of your employees. Good luck with Monica, You'll need it!!!

Contacted internet sales for a car quote was reached by Kris Assad. Kris kept wasting my time by sending emails that have no useful information. Never gave me a quote for the car I am interested in. By rgbennett2013 on 4/11/2013 at 2:19 AM.

I tried to contact the owner Steve Zubieta and he never contacted me to try and resolve my issue. The letter below explains it all. Go to Thousand Oaks or make the drive to Fletcher Jones. Worth your time and money! Dear Mr Zubieta: On March 28, 2013, I finalized a lease on a 2013 E350 at your Mercedes Benz dealership. I spent over 3.5 hours that day negotiating with Raymond/Helen and waiting for the car to be ready. I left your dealership happy with my experience and with a deal that I felt comfortable with. Unfortunately, the next day I received a call from Helen Arsenian stating that I needed to come into the dealership and that “something had come up”. I returned Helens call asking what the issue was. At first she was not forthcoming on what the issue was. I stated that I was working and did not have time to come in and was confident that I could resolve the issue over the phone if she would just let me know what it was. She told me that she would find out and call me back even though I knew that she was aware of the issue at that time. I received a call about an hour later stating that Mercedes Benz financial was inquiring about a mileage balance of $6,602.44 that I owed from my previous lease (2008 CLS 550) that I turned in over 2 years ago. I was shocked to learn about this. I asked Helen how this could be and why this is was not brought up earlier. Her reply was that it was my responsibility and I needed to pay it. I then reminded her that the whole reason why I got out of the CLS 550 and into my current car (2011 C300) was to bring down my payment and get out of my CLS 550 lease early….that is why I pay $300+ more a month than I should on a C300. It was absorbing what it cost to get out of my CLS lease. That is why I made that deal over 2 years ago. I also asked why is this the first I am hearing about this issue. Her reply was that Mercedes Benz has been trying to get a hold of me. Really? Mercedes Benz has been trying to get a hold of me? I have a car now that I pay for every month…I have been paying monthly for the last 8 + years to Mercedes Benz. They know how to reach me. I have never received any inquiries from Mercedes Benz and there is nothing on my credit that reflects this matter. Numerous calls continued back and forth and valuable time spent discussing this and the only response from Helen is that I need to figure out this matter on my end. At this point, I am extremely frustrated and know that there has been some mistake made at your dealership. I expressed to Helen that this has been the worst experience I have ever had as a consumer. I told her to pick up the car and bring me back my C300, my $1200 down payment and some sort of paperwork stating that I am not responsible for the E350. Raymond picked up the car and dropped off my C300. We are on the 4th day since the car was picked up and I still have not received my $1200 refund or release of lease paperwork. It is extremely hard to comprehend that as a consumer who has been loyal to Mercedes for 8+ years and more importantly loyal to your dealership (3 cars leased from Encino) that this is the way I was treated. To pay almost $100,000 over the years and be treated this way is truly appalling. Out of respect to you as a business owner I am writing to you first to make you aware of this matter that has taken place at your dealership. I would appreciate it if you would contact me to see if we could discuss this matter in person and see if we can come to some sort of resolution. I look forward to settling this matter amicably. If, however, the matter is not resolved satisfactorily by 4/5/13 I will be taking further action to resolve this issue through a consumer protection agency, the Better Business Bureau and Mercedes Benz.

I would not recommend this dealer.
