2017 Kia Optima Purchase

I have pleasantly surprised at the experience at Mike Murphy Kia. The dealer was well stocked, the sales staff were very knowledgeable and easy to work with. They worked tirelessly to make sure the deal could be done, working through all the issues as true professionals, until we could both agree on the terms. I highly recommend this dealer and my contacts - Tre' Dorrity the Finance Manager and Karl Thomas / Floor Manager.

Never in a million years did I think I would buy a Kia. Well guess what...I did and I absolutely love my new car. Karl Thomas and Tre' Dorrity were a joy to work with. I would recommend Mike Murphy Kia to anyone. Great customer service!!! Ask for Karl.

High Integrity, Great Product Knowledge

Mike Murphy had exactly the Kia Sorento I wanted. Most of the transaction was handled by phone and the agreements we reached by phone were completely consistent with the details once I was at Mike Murphy's. I drove almost 100 miles from Jacksonville to do business with Karl and Trey of Mike Murphy and it was worth it. The car I bought was beautifully detailed, all agreements reached on the phone were honored, and the care throughout the transaction was exceptional. It is truly different to work with a dealer who is honest, who cares about his customers, and delivers a level of integrity that is almost never seen. You can bet I will drive 100 miles to do business with all the folks at Mike Murphy--a truly exceptional organization

Great to Work With

My first time with a Kia so I had multiple visits and questions. I started with Taylor, but eventual was involved with Mike Jr, Karl, Tre, & Chase, and all of them were very helpful! if the Niro does as well as they have explained it to me, I will be a very satisfied customer.

Not honoring free oil change

Let me begin by saying it was BS every since I purchased. Tag never came, it wasn't put in my grand daughters name. My 80 year old grandmother had to drive back up here & there were words said, with the promise of free oil change signed contract. So I took care in Monday at opening. It was ready Thursday at 4pm!!! Wtf. No phone calls, no loaner car, 4 days missed work. Charged me $104 for diagnostic. But said their not sure this is problem. Didn't want to honor free oil change contract at first. Then said ok, since signed by owner but I can only have it changed every 7500 miles wtf!! This place is scum!!! I really think they hire a boy off the street not a certified mechanic. When it was under warranty, it's free fixing there but then I have to take it elsewhere to get fixed right!!! The man is scum!!!! He needs to be sued for not honoring the free oil changes he promised all the other people!!!! Kia motors needs to take his right to sell kia cars!!!! He is a disgrace to the kia industry!!!NO STARS FROM ME!!!

I had the most pleasant and enjoyable dealings with Mike Murphy Kia in Brunswick. I was treated fairly, with respect and also with many smiles. They listened to all I asked for, the year, the model, my finances, etc. etc. Tre, in the finance department, was absolutely marvelous in getting me what I could afford. Karl Thomas and also Don ( don't remember his last name), were very helpful and courteous. I have no gripes, no complains and the best part of my car experience : NO PRESSURE, I was free to ask anything I wanted to know, Car Fax was given to me, they even installed new windshield wipers on my 2016 Kia Sorento. Paperwork was explained to me in details, all went smooth and it was a delight how I was treated. This is what car sales should be, an easy access to all information, easy Paper work, pertaining to financing availability, no headaches, no hassles, I was free to use my own judgement and made my decision solely to listen to their expertise and their tremendous effort in offering options in this purchase. Hello this is Sherry Weaver and again i'm very super in all ways pleased with service from MMk of Bwk Ga.Yes the detailed service given from auto detailing and in vehicle preparation on cleaning from the moment i drive up and or make an call all is exceptional.Shannon that does performs paper work puts all in an upright understood style.Nothing is left confusing and yes she does and will further explain it all.Yes she does give all comfy and nothing left misunderstood on any matter given, Yes she does offer and give all things level and smooth.Yes she does even tell of any all car specials tires rather it be for one and or two.Gives an excellent understood area on all plus oil change updates also can explain and gives it to you to better see and understand the better way to keep great care of any Vehicle and care to be affordable and wisely chosen to be able to save cash and keep vehicle in top care from the Mike Murphurphy KIA of BRUNSWICK GA.Trey does manage and supervise all areas other than paperwork in office he pays attention to all staff in office and in mechanic area also.Trey wants more than an car sold but all care performed excellent and managed costs and keeps all things well managed their all over and around so Yes Sherry Weaver shall return and refer always but now last Mike that does all small and or major vehicle care is still observed in making sure care from arrival and while there all is okay and if he can help and immediately will.Awesome all things are and have been but one lady works in back with Shannon is still there to fill any opened areas at all.So i give great thanks and blessings to you all Thanks Love Mrs.Weaver

DO NOT SHOP AT MIKE MURPHY KIA

I didn't see it until someone asked me about it today, but I'd like to know why the front number of my car is screwed on by like 30 screws... it looks really xxxxxxxx and hillbilly like and if I had known I never would've gotten the car. I also found out that I'm paying nearly double for the car than it's worth. The car is only valued at 4500 and I'm paying roughly 8900 for it. That's pretty insane. Also every car place that I've spoken with and seen, said that with the 1500 that I put down I could've gotten in something new, and I even spoke to the bank myself and they agreed that my credit with that down payment would've been enough. Now I've wasted 1500 dollars on a car that I absolutely hate, can't trade it in because of the negative equity on it, all because you guys convinced me that I needed to "bite the bullet, to raise my credit" all done just to sell a freakin car. I will never shop at Mike Murphy again, and I will pass the word to all of my friends and family.

WORST BUSINESS EVER - RUN - DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE

I got my car in 2010 and have had NOTHING but problems. My TPMS light came on YEARS ago. I took it to get it checked out and they said it was a "dummy light", a system error and nothing was wrong with the tire pressure. They said they were ordering a new part and they would call me when it comes in. Fast forwards MONTHS, I realized they never called so I went back up there. They said I never came to get it serviced so they used it on another vehicle. They said they were ordering another one and would call me when that one came in. Fast forward maybe a year, the light is STILL on and I now need an alignment. By this time I'm mad because I realized they STILL have not called. Once again, the part is not in and now they say I have to pay for the part and service because my warranty has expired. I left FURIOUS but took the loss because I waited so long to go up there even after they promised to call the second time. Fast forward a few years, I get a letter in the mail saying 2 or 3 things were recalled and to bring my car in so they can replace it. I take it to get looked at and wait and wait and wait. After the long wait, the woman tells me they have to order the parts and they will call me. I'm apprehensive so I give them my phone number and call in a few days. The part is still not in. They eventually call to schedule an appointment for me to come in and get it fixed. I am a full time student with a full time job so I have to get ppl to help me with things like dropping my car off and taking me to work and/or school. My mother took time out of her day to do this for me and when she got there to get it serviced, they told her the part was not in! I was FURIOUS! I have to wait again because they told her they would order it. Again they NEVER called and the only reason I remembered it is because I ran across the paper I got in the mail while cleaning out my car. I called again, still nice and calm and the woman told me they have the parts in and scheduled an appointment for 4/7/17 at 2 pm. This time my boyfriend takes it and they tell him the technician is out today! They also said they tried to call me but the number was disconnected! That is a lie! I give them my updated phone number every time I call because they are incompetent! This is the last straw. Everything I've ever tried to do there is in the system but I never get serviced. This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with!

Scare tactics and non stop pressure

Do not go to this dealership, you get there and there is 15+ sales reps standing like poachers fiercely ready to attack. Once oneclings on to you they begin using a scare tactics and pressuring you to buy a vehichle from them. Their promotional deal you get in the mail is also a huge sales ploy and no one actually wins any of the prizes they claim you win other than a $2 lotto ticket.

Terrible Service

Not friendly right off the bat. Changes hours for service department consistently. Rude rude rude customer service with Shannon over the phone and worse in person. Been here two times in regards to me vehicle and service was terrible each time. They are not honest and do the bare minimum of your car. They with hold information on what your car needs and don't need. I had to get my transmission replace but I have the warranty since I bought brand new. They tried to tell me it wasn't covered. I ended up calling the Kia head quarters to get my warranty to them to prove it. No more than a month later my car was acting up due to the trans mount they didn't replace nor report was bad. I will never go back. Kia should be ashame to have them represent their cars. My family is loyal to Kia with purchasing two brand-new Kias at two different times. Mikey is a terrible mechanic. He is dishonest and doesn't know fully what he is doing. Please go to Jacksonville or Savannah if you need any work done or to purchase a Kia.

I have bought THREE New Kia Souls since 2012. All is fine as long as there are no problems. Marion, the Service manager will not return my calls. There will NOT be a Fourth purchase! Lost a good, valued customer! HORRIBLE!!!!

Ripped off

Mike Murphy's Kia charged us 27000. For a base model soul if you talk to the tag office. If you talk to the bank they charged us 25000. For the same car. Thid dealership does not operate honestly and the owner is unreasonable when asked to do the right thing.

Bought a Brand New KIA Forte 5 back in May and the car had some scuffs on the bumper which they said they would fix on their tab (apparently an employee was moving the car and damaged it) . After signing all the paper work and writing down that the repairs would be performed, we have been waiting 6 months to hear from them. To this day they refuse to give me an answer or reply to my e-mails. This is how you lose customers. Goes to show you can not trust car sales men any where. If you plan to buy a car, go somewhere else, these guys are not honest.
