They went above & beyond to help me!

The sales person, Tyler Smreker, was very knowledgeable, upfront and honest with me. He did not push me into buying anything....he gave me all the information/options I needed to make a good decision. The finance person, Darek Harris, also went above and beyond helping me. Not only did he explain all my options and what all I was signing, but he helped me get the paperwork ready that I will need to get my refund for GAP and extended warranty from my traded-in vehicle. I've even been back a couple of times since my purchase and all the emplyees that were there, were very helpful in answering all my questions. I would highly recommend them to all.

Unbelievably EASY

I called them about my 3rd party approval loan but they told me that they can beat that offer or even better help me out to get a better deal so I went and was greeted by Andrew Biegalski and I told him exactly what I want to happen which is 0 down with about 250-300 monthly payment with my not so perfect credit and he responded "I can help you with that" so I test drive the car that I like came back and he hop on the paper works and sure enough few minutes later he told me that I got the deal that I wanted and after that Darek ( Dutch ) made sure I have the best warranty I could have on my Jeep. I was amazed how easy that was I literally went to Mike Shaw Dealership and about an hour later I'm driving my new car without spending a dime. Most smooth transaction I ever had in car buying and I'm glad I gave them a chance to help me out.

I had specific NEEDS for a vehicle becuse of a disabled husband and Andrew helped narrow the choices to three vehicles that might meet those needs. I then narrowed it to the one I wanted! Dan was there for the actual purchase and it went so smooth and painless! He was great. Let's face it, purchasing a car can be stressful and they took it away. Honest! The car is working out just exactly like we wanted/needed it to. Thank you everyone!

This is my second car buying experience. I am pretty young and inexperience. My immediately family has never purchased a car from a dealership so I didn't really have much help. I went in for a used vehicle that I wanted to purchase, something I had been looking at for a while. It was listed as a Toyota Avalon XLE Plus or XLE (SE). I know they say they can't guarantee what you see online, which seems really backwards since they have to upload a photo and type in all the other information. Regardless, the vehicle was NOT an XLE Plus and is listed as such on one of the pieces of paperwork. Which is fine. It technically WAS a good deal either way. My issue is when I went to get financing I was told I couldn't get the vehicle without an extended service contract/warranty. I expressed I did not want one as this used vehicle already had a factory warranty. After talking through it we excluded the service contract on the original sales contract. I then had issues with my credit score. I showed 735 and they pulled 447 to 630. I ended up needing a co-signer so I had a family member join me on the loan who had great credit. After adding the family to get a lower interest rate, I was told that I couldn't get the car with a service contract. It makes no sense and it was really something I didn't want, but I wanted this car. With the original contract my total financing amount was $30,000 (including terrible interest rate) but with the amended one the amount jumped to $32,000. I also ended up putting even MORE down on this car (enough to bring it down to $16,000 needing to be financed). Pretty sucky that a better interest rate and more money down makes me have to pay more. I also feel very stupid and slightly taken advantage of for this. In addition to all this, I also don't have my loan information. I was told it was through Alliance Credit Union, however when I call them they have no record of me having an account. If I could go back in time, I would just drop the service contract/dealer warranty and would have been really happy. Now I'm stuck with this because of my oversight and the strange arrangements that were made to have me buy the car. Overall it seems pretty shady to do stuff like this. I hope I never have to go into the dealership for repairs. Beware of hidden things and the confusion in contract signing. UPDATE: The managers and owners saw my reviews and actually responded to them personally and worked through my concerns and frustrations to restore things to how I expected them. I know that I was misunderstanding some of what was happening as I discussed some of the texts with one of the manager. I appreciated that they actually made it better. Had they not done so I would have kept this rating poor.

Professional and courteous

We recently purchased an Acadia Denali. W had an appointment for a test drive and meeting with a sales representative the day we called to inquire about a vehicle we saw online. Negotiations did not require near the back and forth games we have had with other vehicle purchases. Felt we were were treated fairly and with integrity. Every rep was respectful, greeted us (even staff not making a commission) and asked how they could assist. Each staff way-found for us- took us there instead of just pointing. We bought some accessories from parts. This department was outstanding. They called with updates on shipment and only had to wait 1 day. Johnathan gave us detailed tutorial on the car which was invaluable. We were taken care of period. I don’t typically write reviews but buying a car is not always easy and a big decision. People should know about Mike Shaw Buick GMC.

I always get great service from Mike Shaw's GMC. Anthony Benson is my go to Service advisor. He's tops for me. He lets me know of any additional factory required services due at the time and gives me a quote right then and there. The mechanics are very through when doing their vehicle inspection. I don't have to worry about what I might need or do to keep my vehicle running great. The service team at Mike Shaw's are NUMBER ONE in my book!!

Truly Awful experience at Mike Shaw Buick GMC in Motor City

Truly awful experience at Mike Shaw Buick GMC in Motor City, Colorado Springs. My 24 year old daughter received a call from a sales person, Nadia, at Mike Shaw GMC, telling her that the dealership was low on inventory of her particular car and wanted to have her drive down from Denver to the Springs to talk about buying her car back from her since it was a leased vehicle. My daughter didn’t understand why they would offer to buy it back from her and questioned the sales person. She was assured that she would be under no obligation to buy another vehicle or lease another vehicle. My daughter was savvy enough to get the sales persons cell number and text the same question, “Nadia, I wanted to see if I’ll have an obligation to buy/lease a new vehicle?” The responding text was “you’re not obligated to buy or lease a new vehicle.” So my daughter got excited about not having to make the lease payment anymore and drove from Denver to Colorado Springs, during rush hour traffic to make the appointment to let Mike Shaw GMC in Motor City, buy her car back from her. I am so glad my husband and I decided to go with her, she would have been so humiliated if she were alone. It turned out to be a scam, and as soon as we understood that there was no intention to buy her out of her lease to increase their inventory, Nadia conveniently slipped out the door and the Sales Manager came out to talk to us. His name was Jeff Noblitt, and he was unprofessional from the start. He apologized for my daughter being confused, and said he couldn’t sit there and continue to apologize to us; frankly, if an offer seemed “too good to be true…” As soon as we made him aware they he had just insulted all of us, he told us we could leave. His lame attempts to recover after that were all inconsequential, he would have been far better off to apologize and attempt to convince us he really may have meant it. Instead, he basically said we were all stupid enough to believe what Nadia was saying and it was really our fault, and don’t let the door hit you on the way out. It’s a complete head scratcher to me that they would use such a Marketing technique; reach out to a repeat customer, do a bait and switch, insult them and ask them to leave if they don’t like it. Never going back, ever.

When seeing what kind of a "deal" I could get by trading in my 2015 Sierra for a lease on a 2018 Terrain turbo diesel, I was treated with absolute courtesy and everything was explained to me to my complete satisfaction by both Tyler, my sales rep, and Phil, the new care manager. I was extremely happy with the deal we worked out, and am really happy that I went in to see what we could arrange. If you're in the market for a new or used GMC or Buick, I recommend dealing with Tyler if at all possible, and when my lease is up, I'll be calling him to set up an appointment to see what 's available in the 2021 truck and SUV line.

Our salesman, Paul Stetler was very friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the truck we wanted to buy. He was very patient with us and did not rush us at all. Phil Morgan, the manager was also very personable and helpful when dealing with the actual financial portion of buying the truck. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone interested in buying a car or truck.
