New car buying nightmare!!

WARNING!! Please read this before buying a car from Nav Bhatia Mississauga Hyundai. I am new to Canada and this is my first hand experience (a nightmare) in buying a new car. Here is my story! I recently bought a new Hyundai Elantra GT 2018 on 10th May 2018. Prior to my visit to the showroom I had fixed an appointment with the Product Specialist (sales rep) and mentioned the version of the car I was looking for. The sales rep made me wait for more than an hour for a test car and agreed to join me for the drive. During the drive, instead of explaining the features, he was busy with his phone. After the test drive we discussed the finances. The sales rep mentioned after paying a deposit of $1000, he would introduce me to the finance director who would be explaining the financing in detail. I agreed and then sat down for a discussion with the finance director. The financing options he provided was completely different and told me the options provided by the sales rep were wrong. This should have been my first indication to back out, as they were not on the same page!! My fate, I continued with the deal!! At the time of booking my car I mentioned to the sales rep and finance director that I was new to Canada and my only request was for an on-time delivery. They promised that they would deliver within 48hr of processing my finances. Not only did they delay the delivery of my car by a week, there were no updates from them at any point of time. I had to constantly follow-up with them with regard to financial approval and delivery. The sales representative and the financial director (advisor) at each stage made me feel as if they did me a favor by selling the car to me. When I thought of backing out, the sales representative refused to refund my initial deposit money that I had paid on my first visit to the showroom and so I was forced to buy the car from them. On the day of delivery, the sale rep and I inspected the car for scratches and dents. I told him the car was not clean near the doors. He said this happens due to transportation of the car to the dealership. I did not argue, as I was extremely frustrated and wanted to drive away with my car. He and I then established the amount required and we signed the documents as agreed to. The sales rep had made a clerical error and missed out a $1000. At that point neither of us realized this. Two weeks later, the sales rep realized his error and called me. He left me a threatening voice mail, saying that the bank would halt the funds for my car if I did not pay the $1000. A week later, the financial director gave a call and threatened saying that he will sue me if I did not pay the money by June 4th. They were threatening me for their clerical errors and did not even apologize for their mistake. I checked with the bank and I was told that the money was released on the day of my car delivery. In fact, my first payment was debited as per the date mentioned in my loan document. I responded to all their calls through email and mentioned I was happy to return the car. I got no response from them!!! In the meantime I had contacted Hyundai Canada customer service and registered a complaint regarding Mississauga Hyundai. They understood my frustration, made a note of the situation and mentioned that they would share my experience with the Sales Manager at Mississauga Hyundai. At the end of the day I would have to sort this with the dealership, as Hyundai Canada does not intervene in dealership sales operations. Yesterday, out my goodwill I went to Mississauga Hyundai and settled the $1000. Their Sr Sales Manager did not apologize for their mistake and made me feel as if I had made a mistake by missing out on the $1000!! Rather he was happy to write a letter stating, “Mississauga Hyundai will not contact me as I had a terrible experience with the store”!!! In fact I even returned the $150 gift card they had given me at the time of delivery. Shamelessly he took that back as well!! Lesson learned: I should not have approached Mississauga Hyundai, as they clearly do not value their customers. I was harassed for no fault of mine, lost my time and the charm of buying a new car!!

Humiliating experience as a prospective Hyundai Customer

Walked into the dealership to check out the new Sonata, Salesperson asked if interested in a 2017 or 2018 model. Asking about the difference between the 2, the response was the car was "completely redesigned in 2018" with no further info. On asking for further info I was instructed to go an sit in the 2017 model outside and check it out, While the salesperson stayed inside and remotely un-locked the Car'. The car was locked by the time I reached and then had to go back in again to locate the sales guy. Again the car was unlocked from a distance with no interest being shown by the sales guy to actually inform about the vehicle. Left immediately after this since I was already pissed off by now.

Horrible service

They told me my sunroof (explosion) was covered under warranty - made me drive from Hamilton out to the dealership and then hours later told me they weren’t covering the damaged sunroof (that cracked with no impact) - even though I still had time on my warranty. False promises - will NEVER buy a Hyundai vehicle again! They say Hyundai Canada hasn’t seen this damage before but when I looked it up online Global News has multiple articles on it!

Upsellinging and incorrect diagnostics

We used this HYUNDAI service department on a recent trip to Mississauga when we noticed a problem with a wheel balance. This problem was addressed, but then we were told that a rotor also needed replacing. NOT TRUE!! Our local service shop measured the rotor today, when we returned home. NO NEED FOR A NEW ROTOR AT ALL, after an actual measurement. No rust, no vibration. Everything was fine. THIS SEEMS LIKE A BLATANT UPSELL TACTIC. ARE YOU TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE?for a needless brake inspection.

Do not go there for service

i have any there for service many times and they will try to scam you for every dollar possible. They wanted to charge me over $100 to JUST LOOK at someone simple while they were ALREADY servicing my car. I would not recommend to anyone.

Very poor service experience

I had booked a recall notice service appointment electronically for Dec. 29 at 3p. I arrived at exactly 3p and was told they were running about an hour behind and that my appointment would take 1.25 hours once the car was brought in. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was "out for a late lunch". Finally at around 4p the assistant manager came to see me. I was courteous and asked at which point did they get so behind in the service department. He said "around 2p". I then asked why they didn't contact me either via email or text to let me know they were running behind. He ignored this and instead went to the computer to check if my car was being worked on. It was not. At 415p he came to tell me that they would be starting the job unless I needed to leave! So after waiting for 1.25 hours, I could leave?! Their mission statement speaks to "customer service and excellence" and this is not true. I must also mention that there was not one seat available either in the service area or the showroom. Once the car was brought in, the job which I had been told would be 1.25 hours miraculously took only 30 minutes. No apologies, no further communication. I bought my car here 4 years ago and am in the market for another car. You can be sure I will not be purchasing it at this dealership, no matter how sweet the deals might be. Shame on you Mississauga Hyundai. All it would have taken is a text or email advising of expected delays. Is this too much to ask?

VERY BAD PURCHASE EXPERIENCE! READ ON...

Never go there EVER. worst dealer service I’ve ever seen. Just financed a brand new 2018 Elantra Limited there was no explanation on how to use the features! Went back in a few days cause I didn’t understand anything! No one even my salesperson was willing to come saying I have costumers now. I’m a customer too! When I first turned on my car, the stereo was very loud and the settings were changed and the person who delivered it changed the audio bass to +8 and listened to very loud music cause when I first turned on the car, I was shocked by the sound ( so loud and heavy bass) Not enjoying my new Elantra also. Takes 10 kilometres of driving to just get a bit heat from the heater. If I park the car it won’t warm up for 20 minutes! 10 minutes unless I drive it! This is very bad. The weather is usually +5 and that is not too cold for this to happen!! Probably would take half an hour to warm up by driving it if it was snowing which it will lots in Canada. Every thing else with the car is OK....not what I was expecting from a 2018 car, but OK. Give the car 3.5 stars and the dealership 1.5 star. Would not buy or recommend Hyundai to anyone again! :/

Bad experience to get a new car

I just notified by Burlington Hyundai dealership that my car didn't have PDI that supposed to be done by Your dealership before delivering the new car to me. My car tires were over inflated , no lubricant on doors and wheels and not adjust cargo door. That was a reason for lots of noises from back of my car and knocking tires. However I didn't have good experience with sales department but I didn't think that They deliver the car without inspection. Not trustworthy dealership.

Very Bad services

The service department insist I needed to balance my tires, when I knew they were balanced, it was my bad to take their word, so due to their insistence i agree to have them balance my tires, now every time i pass 80 km/h in the highway my car start shaking due to poor balance, i have called them many times with no responses, they wont take responsibility for this. DO NO GO THERE

Can I give zero stars?

I booked an appointment to have my winter tires put on (after getting brake work done here and being satisfied with the service). I arrived for the appointment and was promptly “upsold” from a $35 bill to over $200. No thanks just put the tires on for the agreed price of $35 or so plus tax. After two hours, I inquired but the car still wasn’t done. After 2.5 hours I was advised that they had not even started working on my car. When I asked why my service technician Rudolpho shrugged. No apology. I demanded my car back and to speak with a manager. I was given the run around for 10 minutes. Finally an assistant manager (who was in a meeting and didn’t kno the situation) adviser that if I could wait 20 minutes they would change the tires for no charge. Never in my life have I seen this level of poor service from a dealership no less. I can guarantee that I will not be returning and will advise my family and friends (who are also loyal dealership patrons) to do the same. Maybe I buy that it’s busy, but was I also shoved aside because my bill was $35 and not $200+. Either way, what a waste of time! Do not recommend.

Very bad experience of purchase

Very rarely I would have bad shopping experience, unfortunately, Mississauga Hyundai made me very upset every time I was there. The first time, I went and bought a car. After I signed the deal, the director came in and introduced himself with a conversation started, ' where do you live. I live in lakeshore Mississauga, you know where poor people lives. ' I treated this as a ice break joke. Then, after some conversation, he said, ' you like white, percific mall white. Of course you like white, percific mall parking lot park white cars. All Chinese like white.' I think this is races. He doesn't need to link a color with a nationality. the 2nd visit also upset me a lot. I went in and told them I have not got my insurance ready for this new car yet, do let me pick up the car without insurance or do you want me to come back on another day? The sales person told me he is going to check with his manager but before he check his manager, he wants me to sign whole bunch of documents for example forms not filled at all, car hand over documents with checking details while I have not seen the car and ownership. I did not want to sign them but he pushed so hard and I eventually signed all of the documents. Then he checked and found out they can't release the car to me? I asked what happened if the got stollen or damaged before i pick up? He said it will be on me. I was put into a situation where I can not access my car while I'm fully responsible for any unforeseen issue because he forced me sign all those documents. The 3rd visit was to pick up my car, finally. This is the first time I got chance to sit in my car because I'm ready to leave,then as soon as I turned on my car, I found the mileage is 32km, while the documents I signed was 20km. What is this mean? Somebody used my car after I is under my name with licence plate also under my name without even notifying me. I turned off the car and went back into their office. He has left and called him at their office but all I was told is I am being picky. I want to say if the person used this went though red traffic light, this will be on me, why is this considered as I am picky while your dealership securitily used my car? I did get picky because I was hand over a car not clean(Farley clean compare to used car, but not clean like a brand new outside of the car; also the charger cover is sunk in, not flats with car surface. When I complain about this, I was told I can drive to auto shop to ask a machanic to push the cover out, they can't help. Hello, I bought a brand new car,why do I have to drive my brand new car to auto shop to fix it?
