An hour state inspection?

Made an appointment for their "free" inspection since we purchased our car there. Got there 15 mins prior to appt at 11 am and was told it wouldn't be ready before 12...We had an APPOINTMENT?! Inspection that takes an HOUR?! A couple before us was a "walk-in", got their inspection in 30mins and left. We weren't informed of any problem and car failed inspection. Why not inform customer of problem and cost to fix it so it can pass inspection??! Attendant said it didn't make any difference if we gave a bad review because they had plenty of business and work...he wouldn't have a job if I was the owner! We sat there for well over an hour only to find out it failed inspection...paperwork attendant gave us says customer declined work? We were not informed about the problem. My husband is diabetic and had a stroke in May 2018, I had a knee replacement and my dad is 84 yrs old, sitting there waiting, not knowing what was going on was absolutely STUPID!!...TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

Rainy Saturday and preowned SUV

I had no clue when I decided to ride by the dealership to see if the preowned SUVs I had been looking at online were still there, that my day would turn out so well. I actually found both preowned Pathfinders and got out and looked at them. One was a 2018 SL and the other was a 2016 Platinum. I liked them both, but asked to drive the 2016. It was much nicer than I had anticipated. So I decided to go in and find out about my trade in. Duane Thompson was my sales associate at Modern. After having my car appraised I found out that I was upside down because of my mileage and I probably could not trade for a preowned SUV. But to my delight, I might could trade for a new vehicle that had a rebate. After looking at a few, Duane found me a new 2018 Pathfinder SL. It was the color I wanted and had all of the whistle and bells. I had not arrived at the dealership until after 3:30, but I found myself trading that night. Everyone helped to make it possible by staying late and I really appreciated that. Great employees and staff! So, stop by and tell Duane Thompson that Dan sent you, he’s a fantastic guy. these people sold me a nissan sentra2015 black

the windows full of acid rain spots and in the paint thay never tryed to get them out after i ask them to i was amazed that the car i bought was not clean up when i got it home the windshild was so dirty you could not see out of it this place needs new mgnt or some one who cares about there customers.ill never buy a car from here again the 3 day policy is a joke i call one day after i bought the car and thay had all ready sent papers to bank to get there money .

I have been a Nissan owner since 1974 and they have all come the Hickory Nissan. Wesley Starnes is a top notch sales person and I would not go to anyone else. Once again I bought a new car_____from Wesley who provided me with a good trade in allowance( on a car That I bought from him) and I got my first SUV a 2018 Nissan Rogue SV. It has all the bells and whistles and then some. He had to remove the plastic seal from A NEW ROGUE and I took a ride. Comfortable, peppy great color and I have never seen so many new extra features. They also have a superb customer service department. I like it when they call you by name when you drive up. I will continue to go to Modern Nissan of Hickory.

My experience was great! Cresley and Russell were great and made my car purchase a breeze. It was literally a sign & drive as they said it would be. Cresley and Russell were both two honest men and that alone made the overall experience great. Not to mention their customer service was awesome. Not once was O inconvienced nor was I there for longer than I anticipated. They also answered any question I had. I appreciate the Nissan team for making this process one to remember in a positive way! I recommend them to anyone who is looking to purchase a vehicle!

I went to Modern Nissan not knowing if I could get a car. Logan helped me get what I wanted and stay in price range. He does everything he can to help you out. He even showed me how to use everything in the car before I left. Carmax didnt do that for me with my last car. So plz if yall need a good person to help you find a car ask for Logan

New Car Purchase

Being a busy working mom, I did not have time to go into the dealership and spend hours. I had done my research and knew what vehicle I wanted to purchase and what I wanted to pay. searching the internet caused me to be contacted by numerous dealerships in the area. Even though I told them I needed to handle most of the negotiating online due to schedule constraints, I was still heavily pursued and repeated asked "when I would be by." Ben at Modern Nissan of Hickory was the only exception. he answered numerous questions online. I sent pics of my trade and got an estimate (of course that part wasn't final until I took the car in....understandably). the entire experience was pleasant...no high pressure sales. I would definitely recommend Ben, Logan and the entire team at Modern Nissan.

I initiated contact through the dealership website and I was not pushed. I spoke with Marco and we agreed on a price. There was no rush to push me into a vehicle. I purchased the vehicle that I wanted, although they had to retrieve it from a sister dealership, but I drove away in it the next day. Very courteous staff and absolute pleasure to do business with. A+++ to Modern Nissan of Hickory.

Rude, dismissive salesman.

Showed up the morning of 12-11-17 with plans to purchase a new Nissan. I currently have a Titan, 350Z and a Maxima. Was greeted by a salesman on the lot who was dismissive, rude, and frankly, lied about the price range of trucks I was asking about. I knew they had Frontiers within a thousand of what I said I wanted to spend. He said " We don't have anything close to that" Whatever. Went down the street to Paramount and made a purchase there.

Modern Nissan Of Hickory went beyond and exceeded my expectations when i went to buy my first new Nissan Rogue Sports. The Salesman Wesley Starnes of Modern Nissan Of Hickory and all staff and employees were very knowledgeable and great at there job. They treated me like one of the family at the dealership and took care of my needs for a new Nissan vehicle the one i wanted. Everyone there was on point and made my experience a success at the dealership. I will always give them my business and to let you know this is the Nissan dealership everyone needs to go to in Hickory to get the vehicle you want.

Horrible People

HORRIBLE PEOPLE! Philip and Quincey sold a Nissan Sentra to a foreigner couple with limitation in English. After 72 hours of the purchase they decided to change the car for another model. Nissan people said that there is not a problem to exchange the car. The payment will remain the same. So they decided to go ahead and change it. Day after when they were checking the paper work they realized that the car was trade and that they lost $ 3,000 plus all the fees involved in a the new purchase. Nissan not only traded the car when they said that they can exchange it, but they changed the finance term from 60 to 72 months. And they added a GAP Insurance without informed them The customer service is terrible. They spoke with Philip who was involved in both deals and with the Sales Manager Quincey. They refused to help them in any ways and when the couple asked to cancel the "Service Contract worth $2,800" they said that they are not allowed to do it until after 30 days from the day of the purchase. When they asked to get the General Manager Lonnie Vongsavanh involved it took Philip 24 hours to answer and he said "I couldn't get in touch with the manager because he is playing golf with the people of Bank of America" UNBELIEVABLE treatment. I would never recommend this place!!

Modern Nissan of Hickory exceeded my expectations when it came to buying my first car (2017 Ford EcoBoost Mustang). I contacted Russell Taylor (Internet Manager) who was straight forward with the pricing and process over the phone. Upon agreeing and sending everything on my end, I drove down 2 days later and was greeted by Christine and Ben who walked me through the paperwork and handed me the keys to take a test drive in my new car! Came back, finished up the paper work with Phillip (F & I), had a great conversation with Alex V (knows a lot about Mustangs), and finally drove off in my new car. Big shout outs to Allen Marple who was very essential to making this happen in a short span of 3 days and making sure everything went smoothly as possible including checking on me afterwards. Buy from Modern Nissan of Hickory!

Dream Car-December, 2015

I purchased the car of my dreams in December, 2015. I drove 2.5 to 3 hours to Modern Nissan of Hickory after seeing the car on their website. When I arrived I was greeted by Mr. Russell Taylor. I told him the car that I wanted to see. I test drove the car, loved it, as I knew I would. We talked financing. I thought I had secured the best financing possible. However, Lonnie was able to get me a better financing package. This was the absolute best car buying experience ever. There was no pressure. They did not try to show/sell me another car. I had to leave as I wanted to get home before it got dark. They allowed me to complete the financing over the internet. They even delivered the car to me. This was just the best car buying experience ever!
