Dishonest and sloppy ==> Very Bad Experience!

I've had it with Momentum BMW's service department! I originally bought my 2014 BMW from them a year ago. My current issue started back in April of this year when I found out that I had transmission oil leak! I took the to their service department to get that fixed. A couple days after I got my car back, the under-engine cover came off and was dragging, so I took the car to a mechanic shop near my house. According to the shop, it appeared the cover was not put back properly and things were just shoved back up in a very sloppy way!!! Of course I was charged for the work! I took my receipt and the car and went back to Momentum BMW the next day and demanded an explanation and more importantly, a refund for what I had to pay to fix their sloppy mistake! The service rep didn't even apologize and was even defensive! To this day, I've yet to collect a penny from them!!! it has been over six month now! they've kept on giving me the run-around all this time and I've had it! I've even left multiple messages with their service department managers! The service department representative (R****) that I worked with keeps ignoring my phone calls and text messages. I expect to receive PROPER, honest and professional service for the premium price I pay to get my car fixed at BMW dealership! I will NEVER do business with Momentum BMW again, never!

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE. D- with the BBB! Do NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR SERVICE!!! They are incompetent, shady, and dishonest. They NEVER do complete and thorough work, and you can never get a straightforward answer.

Lack of Integrity

I have been a faithful customer for years, they even know me by name. It was great until, I took my car in for repairs, picked it up and the windshield was cracked!!! They admitted they it happened in their care, although they claimed that it was "an act of God" and not covered. I contacted, the service manager Winston Long, general manager John Sharp and even the Dealer Principle, Thomas Kuranoff (over both Mini and BMW) and the best they would offer is to split the charges to replace the windshield. I could not believe their LACK OF INTEGRITY!!!! If you break something that belongs to someone else, the less you can do is fix it!!!! Do not trust Momentum Mini or BMW, they cannot be trusted!! Very disappointed!!!!!

Very Concerned Customer!!!!!

I have only had one experience with this dealership, and it will be my last. The sales and finance staff were friendly and good to work with, but I believe they were misinformed by their service department's review of the used 2009 Nissan Rogue that I purchased. Or they simply were hiding the true condition and just trying to move the car. I was provided a Carfax report which was clean, and it was said that the car passed the safety inspection that they run their cars through before selling them. Two weeks after I purchased the vehicle, I had it in the shop. New Tires (the tires had split down the sidewalls - all 4), the shop told me the discoloration in the rubber meant they were really old and that these should have been replaced before the car was sold as they were a safety hazard. Both front control arms, one tie-rod, and a CV axle with joint had to be replaced (the CV joint was so bad that the seals were actually leaking visibly and when the brakes were applied it actually moved the entire tire assembly which is usually solid and doesn't move). To which I also question... was this a safety concern. And why did the inspecting technician at Momentum BMW not actually see this.... or did they? Doesn't seem they even took the tires off the vehicle. All of this simply makes me wonder if they do this type of inspection on all of their used cars, and if so.... who else is out there riding in these so called safe cars as deemed by Momentum BMW. Had all of these issues been disclosed, I would not have purchased the car, but then again... the car should not have been for sale in the condition it was in. Even though it cost me.... I am just glad it was corrected before someone was hurt. Please be aware, and do not make the same mistake that I did.

Not friendly

Matt Blevins my service adviser & the drive up person @ the service bay were the only nice people I encountered. No one said can I help you or good afternoon (nothing). The waiting room was cold, coffee was not fresh, etc.

My BMW was serviced in March but a week ago I started hearing humming sounds. I called and spoke to receptionist to get a Manager because I could have needed a loaner due to working. They connected me to Emily who worked wonders. Then I met Rick Rawlings and he is an amazing Service man. He took my car in and they discovered my water pump was failing. With their top level of service I will tell all of my family, colleagues, and friends about Momentum. Plus I will continue to drive an hour across the city of Houston for my service. Thank you Rick and Emily!

Used sales department

Today I went in to purchase a White 740IL priced at 26981 listed on Momentum's website, as well as other websites they use to advertise vehicles. I left severely disappointed and upset by the way I was treated by the management team. After being there 3 hours the price of the vehicle suddenly changed....to 27981. When asked what happened I was told that there was a typo on there behalf! The vehicle should have been priced at that amount initially. That is not how business should be handled! Especially in there efforts to make a fool of me by changing it in the system as if the first price was not what I really saw! This vehicle had been advertised since last week at 26981, stock number SCC575493 was my response, and the time as a management team to fix a typo advertised on their website should not be when a customer is sitting filling out purchase paperwork! Bad business! The manager who was rude, who also lacked communication skills said he could do nothing for me and that I could purchase the car at that price as they have other people waiting in line to purchase that vehicle! This gesture was distasteful as this is unethical practice and sends a message to consumers that this business does not have the customers best interest at heart in making their car buying experience exceptional but their goal is to get over through manipulation! Integrity is not embedded in the character of their management team clearly!The sales person Dean went multiple times to address the issue that should have not been treated as the mistake of the customer but fixed! Accomondate the advertised price! It is simple! I was excited about the purchase and had to leave without purchase due to morale...as I was sevely inconvienced and my time wasted in the matter of shady unethical practices on the behalf of the dealership. I had every intention to purchase the vehicle but I should not have been subjected to being taken advantage of by this dealership! The vehicle was also wrecked today and I was willing to work with them on getting it fixed!

I've visited 2 different BMW service centers in Houston, and I can honestly say Shef Habhab will be the only service advisor i will ever use for my current car or any future BMWs I own. He is quick to respond, very thorough, and just extremely easy to work with. He replies to every method of communication, which is rare these days with service advisors in my experience. Shef Habhab is the man you want to see for any and all your service needs.

Very BAD Experience!!! I dropped off my car for a repair begging of DEC with busted air pipe by the engine a week later car I picked up my car to Find a bigger issue all speakers don't work immediately I go back and its been over 2 MONTH my car is not fix and not sure when it will be! I reached out to service manager nothing to seem happening! I read other negative review the dealer ship always replies by sorry and please contact General Manager, Thomas Kuranoff, at 713.596.3100 so I did, He never replied to my call !!! Will never go back there again!

The worst car dealers ever!

The worst experience ever! I do not usually write bad reviews but seriously please do not get you in troubles with these unprofessional people, folks! My story is epic and unbelievable! My husband and I talked with Donyell (one of the managers over there) and Tatiana to work on a BMW X1 deal on December 31st, 2016. Regardless the fact that we had not had a chance to look at that BMW X1 car (since Donyel & Tatiana explained that it is under another current owner and she was out of town), we were still excited to sign the contract that night after a long wait of 4 hours. The deal was: I would trade in my Nissan 2014 car and rent this BMW X1 for 3 years. It was preatty good deal to us. That night, Donyell himself and Tatiana promised that they would arrange to have our car ready after being fixed and checked on Monday since the car should not have any major issues. Then what we really had to go through was not that amusing! Firstly, the car was not ready by Monday. We tried to understand because it might take some time to take care of the car carefully. Secondly, Donyell just did not want to care less about us when my husband asked him about the car's status since Donyell mentioned in his text that "the car needs a lot of work that cannot be rush". What does it mean by "needs a lot of work?". We just want a clarification and Donyell ignored to answer that. Tatiana could not help with that either! When we could not be more disappointed and tired of waiting in silence, we came to meet a general manager on Wednesday Jan 4th morning. His name is Max White. Then, he sent us right back to Tatiana. After talking to her and being confirmed that BMW X1 could not be done at any time, we all agreed that we would back out of the deal and we took back our Nissan car. I carefully asked Tatiana whether or not we had to do anything else to make sure our transaction was cancelled. She told us not to worry about anything else and just had to walk out of the door. Needless to mention, you can understand how upset I am because that was my first time of being interested in BMW ownership. I thought that was the end of our nightmare after that day. No, sadly it's not done yet. I have been constantly receiving email and mail noticing me about an upcoming payment from BMW, which I do not understand. Then, I have just received an email from Nissan saying that they SUCCESSFULLY CLOSED MY MONTHLY PAYMENT ACCOUNT. You now can see what kind of troubles that we have to deal with? My car now is belong to BMW. I have to waste my time to go to BMW Momentum and make sure again that no BMW transaction has ever happened between them and me and I might have to refinance my car with Nissan again. Wish us luck! I definitely do not want to walk in their that BMW Momentum's door or see their faces again, not even once. I still cannot believe that BMW still hire these unprofessional people to work for them. Very very annoyed and disappointed! I wish there were Negative Five Star option!

I wanted to let someone know about the exceptional customer service I received over the years from one of your Client Advisors. James Watkins of Momentum BMW Southwest in Houston Texas has been exceptional through the years. Through family and friends we have purchased 5 cars from him. When I was ready to trade in the BMW I purchased from him in 2012 I didn’t hesitate to call him to help me with my recent trade in. He found a great deal for me and I am very happy with my new purchase. James has called to check on my purchase and follow up to ensure everything is working smoothly. He has been more than just a salesman he has been family. My Dad first purchased a car from him years ago and was also a repeat customer. When my Dad past away James reached out to me to offer condolences and that meant a lot. As a person that works in customer service and sales I have to say that James exhibits exactly what EVERY salesman should be. James is more than an advisor, He is family. DANGEROUS CAR

I bought a new BMW 3 series. I've had it for two years. The car has failed and/or malfunctioned on the road while driving it in the last two years. The service center keeps trying to fix it but it is dangerous to drive on the road. I keep telling them it's not safe and to replace the vehicle or release me from it. No one has honored my request at sales or service. I haven't heard from anyone at momentum BMW.

Momentum is a Scam for pricing

I've seen the same BMW car in Jaguar and BMW Momentum advertised at different prices. They post it and reduce price and when they don't get a buy they move it to the other dealer and advertise it at higher price. I think they are fishing for new car buyers that are not following their way of operations. I am sure they do the same with other cars.

Super frustrated with Pre-Owned sales staff. I spent a couple of weeks trying to get them to budge off their advertised price on a 2014 MCS. In store a couple of times and multiple phone calls. Via phone, sales guy said that the manager (Lee) would come down a few hundred $$ but when I showed up in person, I was told that he said "there's no record of that number". I had to walk away in disgust over that tactic. I think I'll try my luck at Woodlands from now on.

be careful

I bought a 2015 new mini paceman from them last week. here are some thoughts I'd like to share with everyone and hopefully can provide you guys some objective insight about this place. Read the following CAREFULLY before you go there. It's a really convenient and nice place, they have a wild selection of cars. the entire purchasing experience was fair, it was not bad but certainly not excellent. I've been always trusting that MINI has one of the best customer services, however I was disappointed by the quality of the service they provide. we've been their three times, and no one, yes no one had ever asked if we need water, i know this is a tiny thing but that's something your customer would be expecting, because you are a MINI dealer we were doing financing, my credit score has been around 750ish, when they run my credit report, the result was 712, okay fine, I understand lowering my credit score can increase the APR, and therefore, making extra money. Later on the finance person came, he told me that the APR would be 5.9%, I was like, whoa, seriously dude, almost 6% APR. I told them, very politely, that I decide not to choose their finance plan but I will go to my bank instead, when the finance guy heard it, he seems really really pissed off and impatient. He asked what banks I have accounts with, and he said he can do finance with them too, he was really pushy, and of course I won't listen to what he offered. secondly, when I read the purchase summary from them, they have added some packages and options I don't need without my permission and without notifying me. When I asked them, they told me that those packages were added "by default". At this point you probably see what's going on. If I didn't read the purchase summary, I probably had paid about extra 1000 dollars to them. This is not how you do business and how you treat your customers One day later, I talked to chase bank and I got 2.4% APR auto loan, which is really good. I've bought the cashiers check to them and everything seems going well. After I made my deposit and signing all the paper works, they handed my a paper, explaining that this vehicle has suffered some hail damage and it has been fixed. I'm buying a NEW CAR. Is a car which has suffered hail damage a new car? xxxx no. Here's what they are smart about. They won't tell you the hail damage until you have made your deposit. this is how they make money. They have been emphasizing that this is a really nice deal, so they can not reduce the price anymore. Think about it. a good deal is different from lying to your customer and hide the fact that the car has had some hail damage until your customer made his deposit. If you are the owner of this place, I hope you can see this, I know dealership need to make money, but treating your customer without trustworthiness simply will make your customer spreading the words and hurt your business. Some of your employee really need to learn how to be polite and respectful to your customers.

Excellent Purchase Experience

I just purchased a new 2016 BMW X3 from Momentum BMW. I worked with Tom Herald, Internet Sales Manager. Tom was a pleasure to work with. He was professional, friendly and helped me locate the car with options I was looking for. I previously purchased a 2014 BMW from Tom. It was such a pleasant experience, I contacted him again to purchase my 2016 X3. I visited with Tom on numerous occasions to test drive various cars before selecting the X3. Tom helped me look for certified pre-owned cars and compared them to new car options before I decided on the new 2016. He was able to locate the exact car with the specific color and options I wanted and had it shipped from another out of town location to Houston for me. Tom was diligent in following up with me before and after my purchase. Tom definitely exceeds my expectations. I highly recommend Tom and Momentum BMW for next purchase. I continue to recommend him to all my family and friends.

Best experience I ever had

I was looking and researching all kinds of cars to purchase the right car from the right dealership I bought my first BMW at Momentum pre-owned from Robery Cleary. He was outstanding and very knowledgeable and helped us on decide which was the best package for us. When we brought our car in for service we found another outstanding serviceman named Alex Hinojosa who really went out of his way to give us the best possible service you could ask for. They have both made follow-up calls to make sure we are totally satisfied and always tell us if there is anything else they could do for us don't hesitate to pick up the phone and call them. I came in again ready to purchase an Audi and actually drove out with our 2nd BMW. Keep up the excellence work Alex & Robert!! I highly recommend you to my family and friends because customer service is everything
