Love Monaco Ford

By Jay50 on 6/26/2019 at 1:01 AM. Helped by Dustin Deprey.

Recently purchased a brand new vehicle from Monaco Ford. First for me in a long time but probably the 5th or 6th car someone in our family has bought from Monaco. I knew their Service Department was great. Now I can say the same about their Sales Department. Dustin Deprey was wonderful to work with and the entire process was quite easy. Even though he knew I was buying because my previous car had been totalled (while parked - I was not even in the car!!), there was NO sales pressure. Happy to recommend both Monaco Sales AND Service departments.

I would recommend this dealer.

Excellent Service

By GlennCatania on 5/14/2019 at 2:46 PM. Helped by Meghan, Stephanie, Jay.

My Ford Escape was experiencing intermittent loss of power and would vibrate. I initially thought I had a brake issue and dropped it off at the local service station garage for a quick check. I was told the brakes were fine and they couldn't find anything. The vehicle continued to exhibit the loss of power and shaking and that's when I had it towed to Monaco Ford. Stephanie, Megan and Jay did an excellent job along with the mechanical team to find that I had faulty calipers which resulted in a dangerous, unsafe driving experience. I was advised not to drive the car. Monaco fixed the vehicle in a timely manner as promised and once again I felt a renewed sense of loyalty to their staff. Thanks, Meghan for facilitating the repair and treating me like a valued customer. As you know, we consumers are so attached to our cars, we hate to lose them for any period. ot time. Your professionalism and knowledge of the business is notable.

I would recommend this dealer.

Overcharged for repairs

By Ford Customer on 3/21/2018 at 1:19 PM. Helped by Pat Mullen, Calvin Meggett.

They charged over $350 dollars to replace a cam positioning sensor on my 2014 Fusion that I purchased from them. They charged 2.5 hours to labor to evaluate the problem when it the car was in their shop for 15 minutes before they came out and told me the part needed to be replaced. In researching what a fair price should have been, it was $110 to $170 range. They charged me three times what they should have.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Very Positive Sales Experience.

By Darryl on 9/15/2015 at 2:18 PM. Helped by Greg Smith, Richard Pearson.

I don’t shop for a new car very often because the process of obtaining price quotes from dealerships is often a very painful process. In my 57 years of life, I have experienced every possible deceptive and misleading pricing scheme imaginable that dishonest dealers play to low-ball the price on a new car. I don’t understand why these dealers feel this is the only way they can “earn” your trust and business. However, there is one dealer that I have returned to many times over the past 15 years, and every experience has been the most professional, ethical and honest anyone could ask for. I recently visited Monoco to assist my mother in purchasing a new car. We met with sales manager Greg Smith, and business manager Richard Pearson. The price quote was very competitive. No games! No deceptions! Everyone we met with was very professional. Needless to say, we purchased the car and I know my mother will experience the same professionalism from the service department that I have experienced over many years. I cannot think of any dealer I would recommend more strongly than Monoco Ford. Visit Monoco Ford yourself, and you will understand why Ford Motor Company has awarded this dealership the President’s Award 10 times for service excellence and customer satisfaction.

I would recommend this dealer.

An "Escape" From the Norm

By 2010escapebuyer on 4/1/2015 at 2:33 PM.

I am a procrastinator on vehicle purchases, so there were months of research and deliberation leading up to my visit to Monaco Ford. I expected the usual run around between a sales person and their manager, but there was none of that. Jason Karzian was very easy to deal with, knowledgable about the product and very patient with me. We arrived at a fair deal for my trade-in and purchase quickly and painlessly, and the transaction was smooth and as promised.

I would recommend this dealer.

7th car my family bought here, couldn't be happier!

By cjk.2010 on 3/7/2015 at 2:41 PM. Helped by Jason Karzian, Rick Pearson.

My family has had a long and great relationship with Monaco Ford. Today we picked up a 2015 Escape Titanium and are very happy with the deal we got. When we come in to buy a car at Monaco Ford, we are treated like family ever time. The cars Ford offers are the best, and the service I get in Sales or Service from Monaco Ford is top notch. I am an extremely satisfied customer and will only buy my Fords from Monaco Ford. Jason was my sales person and Rick processed the loan paperwork. Both were extremely professional and explained everything down to the smallest detail.

I would recommend this dealer.

Took my deposit on a car that they did not have!!

By maggieb2067 on 2/16/2015 at 2:47 PM. Helped by Tom.

I recently went in to Monaco after viewing a car online, Monaco having the highest amount of used Ford Escapes in the area. I went in to the dealership and drove a like car and left a deposit on a car that was not in their possession. After five days of not hearing a word, I called back and went in. Still no car!!! Having no choice, I was forced to look elsewhere for a different car. But, wait, this gets better, While at Monaco my car was damaged when taken in to look at for trade!! Monaco has been sent the pictures and we have not heard a word in return. Not trustworthy!

I would not recommend this dealer.

Needed to charge my Ford Focus Electric to make it home

By twscrap on 9/24/2014 at 7:39 PM. Helped by Unknown.

Was in Glastonbury for a Dr's appointment and needed to charge my Ford Focus Electric to be able to make it home. I usually charge at the charging stations on the green in town, but they were both occupied. I called Monaco in hopes that they would help me out so I could make it home. No such luck. They were rude and after leading me to believe I might be able to charge there, eventually told me "sorry, only plug in electrics that are in for service can use our charging station". Nice Customer Service Monaco! Instead of having someone who will tout how friendly and helpful you were, you now have the opposite. If you want to be treated poorly by a dealership that has zero interest in helping someone in need out, go to Monaco Ford! What makes this really amusing is their slogan is "Where Our Customers become Our Friends". If you behave like this with everyone, you're not going to have customers or friends for long.

I would not recommend this dealer.

I lost the brakes on my f250 drove slow to the dealership,I didn't have an apt.i asked if it would be to leave it and fit it in when they had time? I asked for a ride home next you now I'm on my way home. The following day I was out of town with another vehicle and service called me and told me what needed to be done.wow that was fast I agreed and the next day the vecihle was done, new brake line and I'm back pulling my horse trailer. I would rather go to the dealer than worry how the truck will be fixed, keep up the great work, again thank you. I worked with mike Monaco and will call him for both sales ans service.

Purchased a New 2012 Explorer, picked it up a month ago. I love this truck! Everyone at Monaco's was very good to me, I even made an appointment to go back for some extra training on the navigation system and they helped my out a lot! Couldnt say enough good things. Only reason why price wasnt a 5 was because of the actual price of the vehicle, I dont think they could of done anything else, I still feel like I got a good deal.

I would recommend this dealer.

My check engine light was on and I scheduled my car to...

By cider33 on 9/16/2011 at 4:41 PM. Helped by Scott Stansfield.

My check engine light was on and I scheduled my car to have Monaco diagnose the issue. They told me I needed a new catalytic converter. My car is 10 years old with 81K miles and I did not want to pay $1,500 for that genuine Ford part plus labor and misc. part. The total cost would have been around $2,000. The car is only worth $6K at best. The service rep offered an aftermarket catalytic converter (est. $575) and I agreed to that. It took a day to get the part so on the 3rd day without a car Monaco discovered that the part did not fit. I couldn't get my car back because it was the end of the day and there wasn't time to reassemble the car so I was without a car for the weekend and the next Monday while a new part came in. The 2nd after market catalytic converter came in on Tuesday and that did not fit. They said they would take $200 of the Ford catalytic converter but it would take a week to get the part. They said it could be 4 days or 2 weeks. I asked that they reassemble the car with the old parts and I would be on my way. I had to pay to have them reassemble my car because they couldn't get a proper part! They agreed to split the 3 hour cost after I complained. I was never offered a loner car this entire time and most of the time I had to call them to get an update. Before I left, I asked for a written estimate with the Ford catalytic converter so I could shop around. One of the parts on the estimate included a new O2 sensor. They never mention the O2 sensor which only cost about $75. I got my car on Wednesday and scheduled to have a Midas shop in Enfield, CT diagnose the problem on Thursday. They fixed the problem and now the check engine light is off. The problem was a bad O2 sensor. The catalytic converter is fine. The O2 sensor was cost plus labor was about $200. By the way, the mechanic at Monaco striped the threads that the O2 sensor screws into. Midas had to repair that. Nice job Monaco! So now I wonder if they are inept or a bunch of greedy crooks on commission?
