Unfulfilled promises

Kudos to Bridget and John who showed me how to use the car’s technology but due to lack of communication between sales and new car manager I will not be doing any further business with this dealership.

My husband went this time and he was very happy with the service. This is the reason why I always choose this location. I did get my tires from Costco. They just had a better deal. I called but Mazda does not price match Costco. I would love to come and get them from Mazda.

Oil change with no oil

I’ll start with the most alarming issue we’ve had. After our first oil change with a new lease I found out (due to an indicator light) that no one had put oil in our vehicle... I had this confirmed by another Mazda dealership after we had moved out of the area. The service manager still hasn’t returned a single call, voicemail, or note for 3 weeks now. I missed a day of work and had to pay $50 out of pocket for oil so my engine didn’t blow, when I already pay for a service package, but there’s been no reimbursement mentioned to us this far. Another issue: This is our first time leasing and they told us that if we need to add more miles -and if we come within the first few months- that we could raise the miles, no problem. Now we’re being told that this is not possible; completely different information than what Jesse and Tim gave us. Seems like a misleading statement just to close a deal and we aren’t very pleased, but we will make the best of it. Can’t say we’ll come back or recommend anymore.

Brian Lee was the most helpful, and kind team-member that I have ever worked with at a dealership. From start to finish he was attentive and honest. Set me up with exactly what I needed it, and the turnaround was bar none. I came in on a Thursday, test drove the car until Friday evening and had new keys in hand by Saturday afternoon. He is the best, and I highly recommend working through him if you want an honest, and truly wonderful car buying experience. Well done Brian, and the rest of the team.

Cash for New Car Experience

When my wife and I decided we wanted to purchase a Mazda CX-5 we were so excited to be buying this car with cash. Sales Staff were friendly and helpful and accommodating. When we met with the Financing Agent things changed and we were told that a credit check was necessary to verify our identity. We reminded the Financing Agent that this was NOT necessary since we are paying with cash. The mood changed and my wife and the Financing agent began to argue about this. My wife has worked in the banking and compliance area for over 25 years, and knows the laws very closely. This is not necessary by any means. My wife was very upset and left. I asked the Finance Agent to contact her manager and see if this was a Morrie's Policy or not. After a lengthy conversation with her Manager it was not necessary (as I overheard on the phone call). We did leave with the CX-5, we love the CX-5, we just hope this financial practice is corrected. Even though we had a terrible outcome with the Financial Agent, it was corrected in our favor. I would recommend Morrie's because of the Sales Staff experience. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff upfront and working with you. They are not paid on commission, which is helpful to know. I am giving a three star rating on the overall experience, if I just had to give it on the Sales Staff, it would have been 5 stars.

Great customer service

Staff and management were very personable and helpful. Communication is transparent, and prices are very reasonable. Rewards program offers great benefits such as free car washes and referral incentives. I am very happy with my new car from Morries!

Good customer service.

I was pleased that I was able to reserve a rental to use while the service is being done - that’s a requirement for me. I was the first appointment, and traffic was in my favor, so I got there early. They were ready and I got in early. I was leery when the system brought up a different person (it took the previous owner off the VIN rather than take my information), but that was the only hiccup. They took care of a hidden issue that was under warranty, and even covered labor related to replacing a belt that was degraded because of the warranty repair. Overall good first experience. I’ll be back.

Rude, Unattentive, Dismissive

Bought used from morries. They said they would honor a few issues I had with my vehicle and taking it to any morries location would “be fine” I went there for something that was supposed to be free of charge and instead they charged me $53 to clean my wheels then quoted me $200+ to fix a blinker that’s completely out. Buy happy is a complete joke. They don’t even do free oil changes anymore which is the reason my fiancée and her mother bought their cars from morries and now all of a sudden I’ve had a completely different experience. Just save yourself the headache and go to Jeff Belzers instead. Morries= Never again.

Don't care and not honest with me

Buying a car from Morries Mazda Inver Grove was not a BUY HAPPY experience. The lack of car knowledge provided by my sales man Trevor unreliable at best. The sloppiness of the service staff and lack of communication along with my unmeaningful Certified Pre-Owned program were the main contributors to my less than HAPPY experience. I LOVE my MAZDA CX 5 and that my broker got me a good price on my trade and for that I give Morries ONE STAR .. but has taken awhile to recover from the 250 miles of traveling to and from the dealership and commitment of 4 days to get the transaction completed. As I look back, I have to wonder .. if I had been a 50 year old male VS a 68 year old widow would I have received different service. If Morries has the right car for you . .go ahead buy it . .but don't expect to know for sure what you drive of the lot and know you are pretty much on your own . .Buy Happy . . has a whole new meaning.

needs better inspection

Purchased a Lexus and when I got home, all 3 cigarette power ports were not working, had to locate the fuses and replace them on my own. They need to do a better job inspecting vehicles.

Great First Car Buying Experience

My experience with the staff at Morrie’s in Inver Grove was truly fluent and enjoyable. I had to make a two hour drive down to check out the car I was interested in and they made sure everything was prepared when I got there. Andrew, the sales manager, introduced himself as soon as I got there and pulled the car I was interested in around. Afterwards, Bobby met me out by the car, gave me the run down, then answered every question I had with complete confidence. He directed me through different terrain in order to really get an idea for how the car handles and feels. His expertise in both the model I was driving and Mazda’s themselves gave me complete confidence In what I was buying. Through the paper work process, Bobby, Andrew, Kiki, and Eric had all made sure I was doing okay and asked me how I liked it. They were so friendly, honest, and they weren’t pushy at all. Again, it was a great first car buying experience and I definitely recommended this dealership to those interested in Mazda.
