HORRIBLE dealership.

By Sarah on 7/14/2017 at 5:05 PM. Helped by Jack.

I've had my van through these people for less than six months. Was told there was nothing wrong with it. It was all certified and ready to go. Having four small children, they knew having a reliable, WORKING vehicle was what we absolutely needed. I was also told at the time that I went in to fill out an application and fill out paper work, that I would only have to pay 300 a month if I put down a 500 down payment. I was approved, and the next thing I know, in the paper work, my payments were made to be out well over 400 dollars a month. When asked about this, I was then told that if I put ANOTHER 500 dollars down, then maybe they could lower it to 300. Whatever. I let it slide as I needed a vehicle. In these few short months, I have had to replace all FOUR tires. One even blew out on the high way after having it for a month and a half and left us stranded for a bit. I've had to replace all of the break pads, ball joints, an axel, the battery and countless other parts. And the kicker? My vehicle broke down completely in Picton, over an hour away from where I live after I dropped my oldest daughter off to her father for a visit (thank god it was after), and I was stranded there for 3 hours until a tow finally came. It was towed to my mother's first in Deseronto and cost me 90 dollars and then again to my mother in laws house (she has CAA so it didn't cost me that time) as her neighbor was a mechanic. Couldn't find out what was wrong with it, so I called Need A Car and explained everything that had gone on. I continuously called and kept getting the same answer, "We'll figure out what we can do and then call you back." They also told me that I was the one who had to pay for it and have it towed to them if I wanted them to see if they could figure out the problem. I refused and told them it was their job to figure out the issues with it as it is still under warranty and if they didn't do so, I would call the better business bureau and they wouldn't be getting any more payments from me and could just come pick it up. It was FINALLY towed to Goodyear in Trenton where it has been sitting there for three weeks, and they only just found out the problem now which had to do with a fuse in the front door. Also, I asked them for a loaner car as I was now completely without a vehicle with small children and their only response? They only had two cars that wouldn't "suit our big families needs" as they are only able to seat 5 people... so they couldn't help me in that sense. I WOULD MUCH RATHER HAVE A CAR THAN NOTHING AT ALL. Horrible, HORRIBLE place of buisness that only cares about pocketing your money and leaving you with lemons. Do NOT waste your time. DO NOT waste your money with these people. I've learned my lesson. You get what you pay for!

I would not recommend this dealer.

poor customer service

By mokers5 on 4/12/2017 at 3:07 PM. Helped by Sean and Marjorie.

They are very nice to you when you come in you tell them you don't have the best credit, he/she said no problem...Well when he(Sean) from Trenton told me a 5 year old vehicle would be 600$ a month plus put money down , we were still willing. So we started to communicate through email, the emails stopped from him, i have a program that can tell if emails were viewed and they were. Then when i would call him the secretary or whoever would ask my name, then would put me on hold then come back and say can he call you back...This went on for 3 months, be careful with him phoney aS A 3 DOLLAR BILL. SO I thought I would try the dealership inBelleville and started dealing with Marjorie, they must teach they not to respond with people with not a-1 credit...her and I were texting and emailing back and forth...one week i was giving a quote 200 biweekly with no money down the next week it was 250 biweekly with 600 down..I said you guys are awful and i told her i have the messages from before that i was quoted and guess what???I HAVEN'T HEARD BACK..and i am not stupid i still have the messages and the umbudsman has been notified...I felt like we were getting ripped off...multiple quotes...NEVER AGAIN~ sO WHEN THE UMBUDSMAN GETS A HOLD OF THEM THEY CAN'T LIE AS I HAVE THE EMAIL AND TEXTS...i DON'T WANT THEM RIPPING ANYONE ELSE.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Absolutely awful

By Michelle123 on 1/16/2017 at 9:07 PM. Helped by Cory.

I got a car sold to me by need a car and was told I would have no trouble with it and it was in perfect condition. A week later I spent 2000$ on the battery, tires, and an oil leak on the car.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Fast, Friendly, Courteous Service

By Keil on 12/30/2016 at 11:35 PM. Helped by Cody, Older gentleman.

I came in to Need A Car after work one day and Cody met me outside the lot. He showed me a couple of vehicles that interested me, then we did a application. About a day or so later he called and asked me to come in because I was approved. I was shocked! I just went through a credit proposal and thought I wasn't even close to qualifying for a loan. He told me to start building my credit back up now and make sure to be serious on my financial decisions going forward because I have a opportunity to reestablish myself and with my new car loan within 18-24 months this will show a solid payment history and will allow me to get a newer vehicle with lower kilometers, with a much lower interest rate. The other guy (glasses grey hair, sorry forgot his name) was just as nice and helpful. I did not interact with him as much however he was friendly and made me happy. The rate I got was reasonable. I bought a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze and love it. Would definitely recommend paying them a visit!

I would recommend this dealer.

Nothing but problems

By Ericadarling on 8/11/2014 at 2:36 AM. Helped by Sean.

We purchased a car from this dealership and have had problems after problems. The transmission went in the car and was covered under warranty. The dealership asked us for oil change receipts which were provided and were done by a lisenced garage like the warranty said. It was denied. I then i called need a car to try and fix the issue. Had nothing but horrible customer service. So i drove to the dealership so something would be done. Eventually after further horrible customer service the insurance covered it. The transmission was rebuild by k-d transmissions. It has now not even been a week and we are having issues again. When notified of the problem the dealership was told to tow the car and not to drive it or it would cause further damage. They picked the car up and drove it for about 30 minites to the garage. All of which we were not made aware of.

I would not recommend this dealer.
