Excellent service department

By Jennifer on 7/20/2017 at 12:01 AM. Helped by Rocco D'Angelo.

I have my Jeep Cherokee oil change every other month and I always get excellent service. I have my brakes and tune ups there and I love the fact that they let me know exactly what work needs to be done. I am on a fixed income and all I have is Social Security. They will slash the price of their labor rate just to help me. I am grateful to have a business that treats me like family.

I would recommend this dealer.

2015Jeep trouble

By Rncp720 on 3/12/2017 at 3:21 PM. Helped by John, Wade and one otherD/K name.

I purchased my jeep renegade in September 2015 I have had the jeep back to the dealer six times for one of the problems three times and then problems from there on mostly electronic and computer problems once they even told me that they couldn't find anything wrong with the jeep. I was there for four hours the last time hopefully everything was fixed but they never seem to clean your car or do anything extra that most other car dealers do to their customers cars. Over the years it seems like the service has went downhill.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Great Salesman

By David345 on 11/15/2016 at 6:52 PM. Helped by Spunky.

Met with Spunky from Newark Chrysler Jeep on some used trucks for a relative. He spent quite a bit of time with me explaining the pros and cons of several vehicles. His honest and straight forward approach allowed us to come to a great decision that we are still happy with today. He was not interested in just making a sale, but to make the customer happy. I will be going back to this dealership the next time I need a vehicle.

I would recommend this dealer.

Honest Sales Guy

By dave2312 on 11/9/2016 at 2:17 PM. Helped by Carrol Amoroso.

I was looking for used truck. Spuky pulled the listing and show me what he had. Most were new and two beat up trucks. He was honest and told me he did not have anything to match my needs but would keep an eye out if something comes in. He also did not try to up-sell me because he new I was looking for a second vehicle investing a small amount. Because he was honest, I'll go see him when I'm ready for a new truck.

I would recommend this dealer.

Searhing for a new Jeep Cherokee

By inlimbo77 on 11/8/2016 at 3:15 PM. Helped by Carroll (Spunky) Amorosso.

Spunky was great when I dealt with him in the summer! Drove to my office for the test drive, knowing that time was difficult for me, with little ones at home. Even brought me lunch for the ride! Also, assisted in getting quick quotes on my trade and max credits on the vehicle.

I would recommend this dealer.

I would highly recommend Spunky at Newark Chrysler Jeep. His goal is not to sell you a car or truck, but instead get you in the right car or truck for your needs and budget. Spunky is a true car and truck enthusiast works extremely hard for his customers and future customers. I am glad to recommend him as a top notch car salesman. He consistently takes great care of his customers.

So glad I didn't let them touch my car!!

By Angry1 on 8/3/2016 at 9:05 PM. Helped by Don't know name. The really stupid guy at the service desk..

When I went in for my service appointment the desk clerk told me I did not have an appointment even after I showed him the appt card I was given at the time I made the appt. He had a chip on his shoulder, as he continued to repeat that I did not have an appt. He needs a lot of training on how to treat a customer. If he wouldn't want to be treated like trash then he shouldn't treat the customers like trash. No professionalism at all!! Me, my family, and my friends will never go there and will be sure to spread the word! By the way, they contacted me to come back, they found that my appt was there! Did they really think I would go back?

Top-notch Dealer

By power.k.d.g639 on 5/13/2016 at 12:57 PM. Helped by All employees.

I have always gone to a Chrysler/Jeep Dealer to service my jeep. This dealer has above all the best service department ever. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a dealer that treats their customers with respect. They go the extra mile to satisfy the customer. I had a leak in my sunroof and they fixed it in one day.

I would recommend this dealer.

Not going back!

By Sue124 on 8/10/2015 at 8:55 PM. Helped by Not sure of name never mentioned!.

i had a scheduled appointment that was supposed to take an hour and s half max. I was there 3 hours for an oil change and 2 computer upgrades. On my drive home I noticed my car was switched to metric, my steering wheel was filthy dirty as was my gear shifter and console. My seat settings were changed as was my radio station. Also my computer was still showing I needed an oil change! I've had other issues with other cars there in the past I was hoping maybe they changed but I was wrong! I had to make another trip back to have my computer reset. That appointment only took a few minutes. Will not return.

Worst service department EVER

By 2012 Jeep on 7/24/2015 at 1:50 AM. Helped by Chris & kind of Rocco never available to take my call.

Jeep damaged by service department. After Wong part was ordered and four days service advisor Chris offered to fix hood & refund repair cost. "I'll get my service manager to refund you your money (Saturday) when he comes in on Monday. I'm very sorry I'll call you on Monday. Monday came and went. Called Tuesday and was told "oh, he won't do it sorry. Why would you offer something you know you can't do? Well for $271 they lost a customer and a 2016 Rubicon sale.

By joelmey on 2/20/2014 at 5:16 AM. Helped by Dave.

STAY AWAY!! I had the worst experience here. The dealer acted as if my father and I were second class citizens and not even worth his time. Even after he ran my credit and discussed financing he still would not let me take it for a test drive so we walked out. Went to Adams Jeep in Aberdeen and bought a new Rubicon and could not be happier.

By MarkusL0tt on 8/17/2012 at 10:15 PM. Helped by Dave.

The short of it is that this dealership has a shady feeling to it and it is for cause.. Sales persons act like a false friend rather than just friendly and seem to want to strong arm rather than negotiate. MSRP is not invoice.. Manufacturers customer incentives are not a dealership discount. They are the buyers from the manufacturer. Trade in value was underestimated by $2,000.00 and non negotiable. I haven't dealt with the service department and plan to never have to. I ended up buying at Carman Dodge and it was a great experience. It was a clean, easy negotiation and a fair price. Trade in was valued acceptably close to KBB recommendation and still $2,000 above what Newark offered.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Newark Dodge was my first stop to buy a 2012 Ram 2500...

By kwbell124 on 7/12/2012 at 2:12 PM. Helped by unknown.

Newark Dodge was my first stop to buy a 2012 Ram 2500 with a Cummins diesel. A salesman that did not introduce himself, met me at the front door and asked what I was looking for. When I told him, he simply said "oh, well we don't have any and we can't order it for you." Furthermore, rather than bringing me inside and assisting me in locating the truck I wanted, he told me I want to drive all the way to Aberdeen because the might have one or two. I left there and went to Carman Dodge and that same day spec'ed out and ordered the exact truck I wanted. I would say don't shop at Newark Dodge, but they will send you away themselves.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Have had several brake issues with my 2009 Dodge Journey....

By rkroberts on 6/28/2012 at 2:50 AM. Helped by Jeremy.

Have had several brake issues with my 2009 Dodge Journey. Had to take the vehicle back to Newark Chrysler Jeep to have brakes repaired twice within a 6-8 week timeframe. The first time, Newark advised they replaced the rotors and pads, when in fact, they only resurfaced the rotors. The second time, another technician advised he was surprised they did not replace the rotors. He said they would replace the rotors. My Journey has less than 18,000 miles on it. My spouse's Dodge Avenger also had brake issues and his brakes had to be repaired. They resurfaced his brakes, and not replaced them. I just took his car back for service as his car is making a funny noise in the front driver's area. It sounds like a thumping, loud flapping or banging noice on his 2008 Dodge Avenger. It only happens when applying the brakes. I called Newark Chrysler Jeep. They had us leave the car for two days due to a weekend. I called them on a Monday afternoon for a status update. They advised they had not been able to get to the car yet and was just getting to it at that point. Not 5 minutes past, and Jeremy called me back to tell me that the technician drove the car, did everything he could to get it to happen as I described but they could not find anything wrong. He told me that "this may be normal for these type of cars." I said, "WHAT?" I told him that I know exactly what we were hearing. He told me that we were in no danger and that we could come pick up the car. He said if it happens again, bring it back and/or he could have a technician ride with us to prove to us that they hear or find nothing. He was extremely rude and really talked down to me over the phone. I went and picked up the car, pulled off the lot (they were closing for the evening) and low and behold, the car began making that thumping, banging noise in the front area again. I give up! It is apparent they did nothing. I think they are waiting for the warranty to run out so that they make money off of the deal. Yep, I think the service department at Newark Chrysler is sneaky, sly, and does not know what the hell they are doing; with the exception of trying to take advantage of female clients and almost expired warranties so they can screw their clients! Shame on Chrysler, Newark, and their POOR SERVICE DEPT!

I would not recommend this dealer.

By seacasey on 2/14/2011 at 5:54 PM. Helped by Jeremy, Steve.

My wife took it in for a problem with the car shutting down. They told us that we needed to put over $2000 into fixing the problem and even then it may not be fixed! WHAT? Either you can fix the car or you don't know what is wrong with it, it is one or the other. The Jeep went in having a problem with it occasionally shutting down. When it came out after the oil was changed, it doesn't sound or run the same way. Now it cuts out all the time and sounds like it is missing. I hate to insinuate that they are dishonest, but draw your own conclusions. I will never go there again
