The Newbold Experience is the BEST Experience!

This is our second BMW purchase with Newbold. The customer service experience is out of this world. Each Newbold employee truly makes you feel like family. My husband and I now refuse to go to any other dealership because we don't receive the high caliber of attention and care anywhere else (we made the mistake of going to Autohaus once and that was a nightmare for a variety of reasons). Braden is fantastic and completely down to earth. On top of that, he stays connected with his customers - even years after your purchase. The staff provide such individual care to each customer; as I said, you can't go anywhere else. Thank you, Braden, for helping us to pick out this amazing 2019 x3 m40i!!!! We LOVE IT!!!

Design Flaw

I just bought a used BMW 335i xdrive 2015 with 40,000 miles with a "rebuilt" title due to water damage. Fact: At 40,000 miles there is a vibration in certain RPM and MPH combinations. Fact: I took it to Newbold and was told the transmission was leaking through the casing, not a gasket but right through the metal casing of the body of the transmission. Fact: Sales representative said he had heard of this problem before and admitted it was a flaw in the design and/or production of the transmission. The metal was porous. Fact: The repair cost would be $11,600 and that did not even guarantee to fix the problem of the vibration and that may require $2200 drive shaft. Fact: Due to policy they would not honor any warranty because of the (unrelated to the transmission) previous damage. Fact: Then to add salt to the wound the sales rep. basically blamed me for buying it from an individual instead of them. Opinion: It doesn't matter who I bought it from, it was a BMW, not a Gremlin. If it has a design flaw that is not my fault, that is BMWs fault. For them to hide behind a warranty policy instead of owning their mistake in design or production is a simply unethical and pernicious. (Or to use a modern colloquialism, Chicken S**t.) That car sold for $55,000 and yet was un-drivable at only 40,000 miles.

Carlos Holmes is a genius

Yesterday I was at Newbold BMW and was having difficulty with my CarPlay app. Though I had not previously set an appointment with Carlos, I lucked out because he was available to help me with my issue. He quickly and adroitly fixed my problem allowing me to access my phone through the car. This capability is important because it is illegal to use one's handset while driving in Illinois. Other states have adopted this policy, so it is a good thing to be able to make and receive calls through the BMW hands free system. Carlos is a pleasure to work with. He really knows his stuff. He is a true expert and is very personable and professional. He is a tribute to his profession and a great ambassador for Newbold BMW.

Unexpected Trade!!

We took our BMW in to be serviced and ended up trading. We looked around during our wait and found an affordable upgrade. We dealt with Braden Dyer and he made the experience very pleasant. Very professional and yet considerate of us. We noticed a small defect on the bumper which they repaired in a timely manner before pickup. Carlos Holmes patiently explained all the bells and whistles on day of delivery. After the fact, they've reached out to us in case we had any concerns. We've had first-class treatment at Newbold BMW with the sales dept and service dept.

Best experience for my first BMW!

I found the car I wanted online and walked in to the dealership to see the car in person on same day. It was raining out and Chris brought the car in the garage instead of having us walk in the rain. He asked us questions about what we wanted for a car and gave us true advice about owning a BMW for our lifestyle. I love this because he gave us the space to decide what we wanted. We returned in the morning for test drive and Chris had the car ready for us. That same day I purchased the car and paperwork was completed within 30 min instead of staying all day. Im absolutely pleased with my purchase and highly recommend Christopher Duncan to assist you!!

GOOD SERVICE PEOPLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE RESULTS

I am strictly rating the RESULTS of the service Newbold BMW provided. The service consultants were friendly enough and showed empathy, but Newbold BMW service on my 2004 BMW X3 with 89,000 miles has been HORRIBLE! I have owned the car, my first BMW, for 23 months and In that time drove 20,000 miles and had 17 maintenance visits, 14 of which were for the service engine light. Newbold never found the cause of the problem but charged me many thousands of dollars trying. Eventually, it became cost prohibitive. I finally gave up on Newbold BMW, and the car. I recently sold it and went back to Lexus where I've had nothing but good service experiences over the years.

I would not recommend this dealer.
