0/5 - DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR SERVICING!!!

By tveblanc on 1/8/2019 at 8:06 PM. Helped by Steve McKenzie, Troy (Advisor).

They do not service your vehicle correctly the first time you bring it in... it needs to be brought back the following day or week for them to fix their mistakes. 1st visit - installed the incorrect remote start. Did not check in the system to confirm which one I had paid for. 2nd visit - After having my vehicle for a full day on my 1st visit, I had to bring it back the following week for another 8 hours for them to install the correct one. 3rd visit - oil change. Did not adjust the settings in my computer correctly so about a month later, I had to go back for them to set the computer properly. I informed them that one of the stitches on the leather on my backseat needed to be fixed through warranty - they told me they had taken photos and that the ticket had been sent to Mazda Canada for review and that they would be contacting me in 1-2 weeks to schedule the repair. 4th visit - get trailer hitch installed. Still had not heard back about the warranty coverage for my back seat stitching (this was now over 2 months later). Said they were still waiting to hear back from Mazda Canada about the service request. My car was still running fine, it was not a dire issue. However, I bought a brand new vehicle and wanted the stitching fixed. Phone call - called asking for an ETA on my backseat stitching and for the ticket number so that I could follow up with Mazda Canada and find out what was taking so long. The Service Manager admitted that the ticket was never sent in and that they "forgot" about it and asked me to send him photos via email of the stitching coming out. 5th Visit - stitching finally fixed after 5 months, oil change and winter tire change. After having my car for 8 hours, I picked it up to realize they installed the wrong steal rims (when I called to set up the appointment, I had specified that I wanted the alloy rims but they of course did not make a note of it and went ahead and installed what they thought was right). 6th visit - had to go back the next morning and they charged me the difference for the alloy rims vs. the steal (this was their mistake and my time - this should have been a $0 charge to me). Now, this is where i lost my patience with this Dealership and have lost my faith in Mazda Service technicians all together... 1 week after getting the oil change done, my check engine light went on and I was getting error messages on my computer saying that the Smart City Breaks were malfunctioning. I called North Hill right away and they said to bring it in and they would run diagnostics. 7th visit - ran diagnostics on my car all day. Called me at 4pm to tell me that my car was ready. I asked the Advisor on the phone what was wrong and he said that we would chat about it when I came in and wouldn't discuss the issue over the phone. When I arrived at the dealership they said that they couldn't find anything wrong with the vehicle but they had put in a ticket with Mazda Canada to see what their next course of action should be. They then tried to tell me that because I was doing 125 km/h on the highway to Canmore that speeding might have set off the error messages (this is a brand new CX-5 GT - doing 15 km/h over the speed limit should not be doing this!). 30 minutes after leaving the Dealership, I received a call from them saying that they heard back from Mazda and that the PCM needed to be replaced - a major part that would take a few days to order in. I took my vehicle to the Stoney Trail dealership the following day to get a 2nd opinion. They had my car for 3 hours to tell me that the air cap hadn't been closed when my last oil change was done - this is something that is on their checklist when they run diagnostics for a check engine light. My car has been running smoothly ever since. North Hill clearly didn't go through the checklist and I almost needed to repair a major part in my brand new vehicle for no reason - all they offered me to compensate for their numerous mistakes was a free oil change.

I would not recommend this dealer.

A MANAGER THAT CARES!

By bob&marylou on 12/6/2018 at 3:04 PM. Helped by David, Donna, Robert.

We have recently purchase a CX-5 and a Mazda 3 to replace our aging vehicles. We chose North Hill because of the favourable reviews. We did experience some communication problems that were dealt with by Bob Orchard quickly and effectively. He was genuinely concerned, provided no phoney excuses, didn't shift blame but accepted that they had slipped up, apologized and took corrective measures immediately. You don't run into that kind of integrity everyday and as far as I am concerned, that is all I am looking for...honesty, integrity and commitment. I realize nobody is perfect but to stand up and take responsibility the way North Hill Mazda did speaks louder than all the advertisers words.

I would recommend this dealer.

Absolutely the best dealership in Calgary

By Ben Goud on 3/1/2018 at 4:29 AM. Helped by Troy, Rob, David, Lindsey.

Followed Doug to Northhill Mazda from another dealership as he provided honest and reliable advice to my wife and didn't try to up sell on unnecessary features but rather provided both the positives and the negatives of the features and left her feeling like there was little pressure. After purchasing our first new vehicle with this dealership, I have picked up a used vehicle for my brother here, and then a new cx-5 as our family got to large for the Mazda3. I have also had the best service experiences at this dealership for a couple years now over other dealerships in Calgary and the customer service is next to none. Troy in particular has provided me excellent service and a friendly face that I look forward to seeing first on service and now on sales. I will definitely be back with both my service and sales needs. Rob, the manager here, has always provided me with trade in values on both of my vehicles well over a thousand dollars more than I was offered at other dealership and has personally stopped to say thanks for our service on each of my purchases. I would and have recommended this dealership to my friends and family, and will continue to in the future.

I would recommend this dealer.

By JAMES INGLIS on 12/20/2017 at 8:53 PM. Helped by Donna Ritter, Kurt Mulder, Sylvain Beauchamp.

My wife and I bought our first vehicle a couple weeks ago from North Hill Mazda and really enjoyed the experience. Donna Ritter was a pleasure to deal with, even coming in on her day off to deliver the vehicle to us. I'd also like to give a shout out to Kurt and Sylvain who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We would definitely recommend North Hill Mazda!!

By arjunc on 4/27/2017 at 4:53 AM. Helped by Davin Heikkinen.

I had the pleasure of visiting North Hill Mazda recently to learn about and look at Mazda cars. I got the opportunity to speak with Davin Heikkinen. Davin was an exceptional individual with tremendous knowledge about cars and was very professional and friendly. He was very honest and explained me everything in great detail. He was also very patient to answer all my questions. If you visit North Hill Mazda, Davin Heikkinen is your go to man! Top-notch individual in an Outstanding Dealership! I highly recommend!

Friendly and speedy customer service!

By Pragmatic403 on 11/13/2016 at 6:45 PM. Helped by Can't remember but he had glasses.

I've only been to this location twice for minor work (replacing a headlight and taillight), but I have to commend the folks for their friendly attitude and hard work. The second time I came to have my taillight replaced, they did it in half an hour before I went to work. I can't tell you what a positive experience it is to bring my car here - I would recommend this to anyone, not just Mazda owners. Great work!

David Sosa in sales

By Cole867 on 8/19/2016 at 8:19 PM. Helped by David Sosa.

I was looking for a car with my Grandpa to take back to school in the fall and something that would get me to and from work in the summer. David was very helpful and informative with the test drive and answered all my questions well. Being in sales myself it was a cool experience to learn about the dealership and the cars there. I am very happy with my 2016 mazda 3 sport GS purchase. Dealing with North hill mazda has been a pleasent experience.

Very happy I checked out North Hill Mazda!

By Diane A on 1/21/2016 at 7:36 PM. Helped by Marek Pawlikowski, Danielle Chesney.

I was looking for a car in December 2015 due to the fact I'd been in a car accident and my car, which was a 2009 Mazda 3, had been written off. North Hill was my second day of looking after a rather disappointing first day and while my first day felt like I was dealing with salespeople, I never got that feeling at North Hill, Marek Pawlikowski was friendly, compassionate and very helpful - and incredibly passionate about Mazda vehicles and what they can do! Before I left that day, a deposit had been made on my current 2015 Mazda 3! Danielle in financing was just as friendly as Marek, and I felt like I was in good hands throughout the whole process! It's been just over a month and I love my car and have happily showed it off to friends, coworkers and social media! I would highly recommend North Hill Mazda to anyone, whether you've driven a Mazda before or not (and you really should do a test drive, they are fun and functional cars!). Diane A

Excellent people, amazing cars

By superseeker on 10/8/2015 at 10:52 PM. Helped by Ashley.

Being a Mazda owner for over 12 years, I am really amazed at how great this dealership is. The staff are always friendly, the service is top notch, and the new management really bend over backwards for customer experience. I would recommend this dealership for your service, or buying your car, as they have a 4+ Star rating on Google, and Yelp, from real customers, not these fake ones below, that are clearly from made up posts, from competitors most likely. Love my Mazda!

New CX-3 2016

By danielperez on 9/19/2015 at 5:27 PM. Helped by CWS Logistics.

Just got my new 2016 Mazda CX-3 and I can say the Customer Service was just incredible. First with David Sosa the sale's man, really understood what I needed and wanted. Then with the Manager Robert super easy to talk to, really explains all the details, and last but not least Finance Kenny really got me a good low interest and so good upgrades. Thank You North Hill Mazda!!

Love Northhill Mazda

By BevDoig on 4/8/2015 at 4:03 AM. Helped by All.

I have been going to Northhill Mazda for a while to service my Mazda 3. Every time I go in, the staff are so friendly and knowledgable. They understand my needs and concerns and to my surprise go beyond just servicing my vehicle and washed my car and fixed a large dent in my rear bumper by hammering it out with no extra charge. Just what I needed as I have recently lost my job so it was very much appreciated.

What Service?

By vhalle on 4/24/2014 at 5:16 PM. Helped by none - couldn't get appointment.

We recently purchased a new Mazda 3 for our daughter, by the way she loves her car. In past new car purchases I have found that based in price range of comparable cars there isn’t much difference in the actual vehicles, our motor vehicles have ranged between $2500 (new) to $190,000 (used), we currently own 7 vehicles, ranging from scooters to a motor coach. The difference is in the service. Mazda has proven at the bottom of the list. We went to a non-Mazda place for our first oil change because it was so difficult to get one without booking ahead one week! I have been very loyal to Infiniti because of the extremely high level of service - in Denver my oil changes included a valet service and a car to use for the day! Unfortunately they do not offer that in Canada, so I have been going somewhere else. We also own a Cadillac and a Mitsubishi - Infiniti is by far the best. This morning I had a call from a Mazda service person who was very cheerful when I told her we went somewhere else for our service! Are you kidding me? It seems to me that most of your profits come from the service department, not on car sales. I am writing because after spending $20,000 cash, I expect more.

Horrible horrible service. Mounted a tire INSIDE OUT....

By rattwood on 6/5/2013 at 7:45 PM. Helped by service.

Horrible horrible service. Mounted a tire INSIDE OUT. Went flat and could have been disastrous as I discovered the issue just before driving on the highway. Had to replace the tire as it was not repairable. Every oil change I get, the check engine light comes on two days later. They refuse to diagnose the problem and tell me I have to pay them over $100, even though THEY were the ones tinkering under the hood. Told me I needed to replace the power steering fluid, even though it was done only 3 months prior at a different garage. Told me I needed to pay to have a gasket replaced because it was leaking, when they performed that exact service less than a year prior. When I called them out on this and told them they could warranty repair it, I never heard back from the manager, nor has the issue been brought up since and I have been there twice since. GUESS IT'S NOT THAT LEAKY AFTER ALL! These people don't care about your business, your safety, or your bank account, only theirs. I will not be returning EVER AGAIN.

Ever since I brought my car for a recall into this...

By onlyk on 9/20/2011 at 7:49 PM. Helped by Albert Joseph, Ryan Gotzke.

Ever since I brought my car for a recall into this dealership, it's been going downhill into the fiery pits of car hell. My mazda3 2008 got recalled in for a power steering pump replacement. They changed it but a few weeks later, the plastic plate covering the bottom of the car came lose and dragged along the road as I drove causing all kinds of unwanted attention. Nails were flying out denting my windshield and it became very unsafe to drive any further. I got them to tow and fix it, and since they were friendly in admitting the problems, I let them fix my air conditioner as well. Worst mistake ever. When I got the car back (with air con and other broken parts that they are always so keen on discovering fixed), the bumper was unaligned, new scratch marks were seen all over my car, and the grille was worn out and cracked for a $1000 job. They shoved the bumper back in place but denied all the other problems. I went away angry but still convincing myself that cosmetic issues should be cheap to fix myself. Not even a week later, my power steering malfunctions and it's in the this dam dealership again. Of course they're denying it's their fault and friendly faces have never been seen again. Don't ever go here to get your car fixed cause their workmanship is shit, and you'll end up spending way over your budget. Don't get a mazda either.

I would not recommend this dealer.
