Sales great, after not at all

I’m pretty disappointed in the customer service now that we’ve bought our car. First incident: I needed my tire changed and the local mechanic couldn’t find my lug locks. I had never even had to change my tires before. I called and Roland from service said “there’s nothing we can do, most people would have already been in here for service and you haven’t”. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the lady on the phone put me hold, then hung up. When I called back she said “they said you just come in and they’ll order you new ones”. I demanded to speak to someone. Finally, Steve from sales actually took the time to investigate to see they NEVER GAVE ME THE LOCKS when I bought my car 🤦??? I had to drive in another vehicle (car still undriveable) to pick it up. No one apologized for the inconvenience. Second incident: My 12 month old vehicle stopped blowing A/C and the front panel went out while driving. My vehicle is also losing oil (oil almost empty after 7000 miles). Icalled Saturday to get in because I’m scared to drive my car. They have nothing available until Wednesday! So I can’t drive my car.She said “don’t worry, I’ll put in an emergency ticket and someone will call you today or Monday to work you in” It’s Monday night. No one has called. I still have no appointment. I will NEVER recommend this place again. I Don even know what’s wrong with my 2018 Traverse Premier Update: after posting this on their Facebook, someone responded, asked me to call, said they’d help me. I did. They aren’t there and still no one has helped. Here is where I am. My 2018 Traverse Premier that we purchased 13 months ago: Is leaking oil Has intermittent A/C (it’s Summer!) Has intermittent front panel power Everyone that was willing to selling us this $50,000+ vehicle is avoiding us. We have a warranty!

Quick and painless!!

Just recently bought a 2019 Chevy truck! Our sales person Justin did a perfect job! Very personable! He was very knowledgeable on the truck and answered all of our questions quickly… We were in and out in a reasonable amount of time! The general manager Brad was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed including a lot of popcorn!Would definitely recommend this dealership!!

Sold me an extended warranty and when it was time

I purchased a 2016 chevy suburban lt 1500 from then also bought a extended warranty, and just happen to reach the 66k and bom transmission went off so no manufacturing warranty left so I relayed in the 5000 extended warranty that I purchased from them surprisingly enough they declined my claim for the purpose of using the vehicle as a passenger vehicle wooooow MF shame on GM and Sham on the Fadility company to do this to people, it was my first GM truck and I regret getting into the American cars.time to take my Laos and go with the Japanese....

Disappointing Service Appointment

I purchased a certified pre-owned Yukon XL and brought it to Ourisman to to have all the fluids changed and some minor items serviced. I called ahead and scheduled an appointment but when I got there they said they would be with me in a minute and proceeded to stand around for 15 mins until "my" service advisor arrived. Mind you this was the first time I was there so why did i have to wait for "my" service advisor for a half hour when I never had one? Once he arrived I had to tell them everything I wanted done again thus taking another 15+ minutes. So my quick drop off was now at 30 minutes and then I have to wait another 20 minutes for the shuttle. So now I'm into this quick drop off for 50 minutes total! All that was annoying but when I get my car home I notice a slow leak and it turns out they didn't replace the drain plug in my transfer case properly so I needed a return trip. No thanks. I took it to the local GMC dealership which is a little further away but I have no time for Ourisman Chevy.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Botched oil change

Took the 2018 Sonic in for an oil change didn't get home before it started smoking from 301 & 50 to 410 stopped at the light smoke everywhere.Looked under the hood oil everywhere!! Called them they took my # and didn't call back!! They suck never again YOU take my money and leave me hanging!! I had it towed now I guess they need to talk to LAWYERS!!

The best service I've received at a dealership

Due to poorly trained staff at another Ourisman dealership, I was given wrong information about where to get my car service. I have a Hyundai and was told I had to go to Ourisman Chevrolet to get a part for my car. Mike was incredibly helpful, pleasant, and helped make light of a terrible situation. Instead of ushering me out the door to the correct dealer (Hyundai), Mike took my VIN number and ordered the part for my car. I truly appreciate Mike for going beyond the scope of his job, he works for Ourisman Chevrolet and had no obligation to service me, but he did and he apologized profusely for a mistake that he did not create but resolve.

Ripped Off and Poor Service

My wife brought a Chevy Traverse in with the check engine light on. They charged us over $4000 and kept the car for two days only to return it with the light on. When we brought it back, they stated it was a new issue, charged us over $500. When we drove it off the lot, the light was still on. When I called to complain, the service manager's response was "this is a process to fix your car." He said to bring it back and they would continue to try to solve the problem. No one ever told us that it was a "process" that involved us paying large sums of money as they randomly remove parts that have done nothing to turn off the light or improve how the car is driving. After giving them almost $5000, the car has to be returned for another two days. In addition, to their on going charges, don't expect Ken Brady to give any details. He has a "Pay us or leave" attitude which is comparable to the his service manager. No one at Ourisman believes they have done anything wrong. They are happy to continue to remove parts and charge us, and not actually fix anything. I am now forced to go to the State's Attorney General, Better Business Bureau, and possibly small claims court. Loads of fun just to fix a car that was running pretty well and only had a light on!

Ken is the Best

I have been coming to Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie for about 3 years now. Ken Brady is normally the service person I look for when entering the service doors. He always take care of any issues I may or may not have with my car in a timely and professional manner. He's great.

Amazing hands down Experience

I was a little uneven when the time came around to purchase a car or if I was going to trade in my Equinox, i’m more than happy I went with Ourisman Chevrolet Of Bowie. As I like to get direct answers before coming into a dealership, after I requested information I received a call from Paris Milloff (she made me feel like I was apart of the ourisman family) she provided me with so much information such as Trim level, sales, and how my USAA certificate price was promised to me. She said she would like to schedule an appointment for me to come in same day. She assured me I would be taken care of once arriving to the Dealership, she was right. My sales consultant was Marlon McLean, funny man he is !!! , yet very professional. I was hoping to meet Paris, but she was gone for the day “ that small voice over the phone made a BIG DIFFERENCE “ I ended up making my purchase and leaving happy. My wife and I are so happy we wanted to thank this young lady. Thank you for all your help and understanding “ You have customers for life”

Great Experience, not pushy, and everyone was friendly

I started the process through the USAA Car Buying program, which alerted dealers of my inquiry. I was very specific about what I was looking for, and they had my *must have* items, and close to the rest, but a truck with a bunch of extras for far less than what I expected. Meredith Miller was very helpful in answering my questions and getting things lined up for my visit and trade-in evaluation. When I arrived, she promptly put me in contact with Chris Powell who took me to the truck and off for the test drive. Chris was very helpful and knowledgeable about the Truck and its capability. We discussed my needs as well, and what I was looking to do with the truck, the $5k question was the V8 options, as that was my one waffle point. After the test drive, and our discussions, the deal was made. I had already arranged to finance prior to shopping, and Chris was quite willing to run the numbers and multiple options, as it worked out, I got the GM pricing for military, as well as the GM %0 with a lower payment, deal done. Why did I like the experience with this dealer? First, it wasn't a high-pressure sale effort, it was more like two guys talking about a vehicles capability, pros and cons, and what I would like, and might not like about the truck; and what I would love about it. Everyone at the dealership, from the moment I walked in, was friendly and welcoming without acting like sales sharks. I had several conversations that had nothing to do with selling me a thing, and I was never once uncomfortable or felt like I was a mark to make a deal and get out the door. Finance was pleasurable, and I'll say that Chad was very enjoyable to spend time with and bless his heart, he was really trying to work on those extended warranty options and deals. He wasn't pushy, he presented his case and offered options and he provided good points of discussion. While we finished up paperwork we had a good conversation about family, kids, and other topics.

Best Service Advisor in 40 years!!!

My car is still at the dealership unfortunately waiting for a transmission tech, but my service advisor Kieth has been in constant contact with me. When I stopped by to get something out the car, Kieth linked me with another ZL1 owner, and I ended up spending almost 2 hours at the dealership just talking, sharing and comparing our cars. It was a great experience. At almost 40 years of age, and with at least 10 cars purchased in my life time from various dealers, Kieth is without a doubt the best service advisor Ive ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Although I'm sure many of the other advisors are good, I wont deal with anyone but Kieth, as the customer service is top notch, and he treats my car as if its his own; a very rare quality found in service advisors today!!!

"Cancel The Missing ... I AM A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE"

I gave up hope of buying a new car after retiring in 2012. Lack of Credit Worthiness plagued me and I was fed up with Dealership Rhetoric "Come see us we'd like to help you," High Service Charges, and Poor Customer Service, and then it happened. I took my 2008 Chevrolet to a budget mechanic who didn't know how to change my headlight. I swallowed my pride, came to Ourisman Chevrolet, Bowie where Keith Cobb won my loyalty with his Superb Customer Service. Mr. Cobb pointed out Ourisman's commitment to Veterans, and told me to show verification during checkout. In a word, NICE! Personally, I will drive any distance for good Customer Service. That's what I get EVERY TIME I come to Ourisman Chevrolet, Bowie Meredith Miller sent me a letter inviting me to come look at new cars and Meredith followed up with Email contacts. Ms Miller actually listened to my Email response concerning lack of credit worthiness, and convinced me Ourisman, Bowie "Will" help me. On October 10, 2017 Meredith Miller, Ozzie Turner, and Chad Silla asked me if I would like a 2017 Arctic Blue Chevrolet Malibu 4 DR SDN LT? Like a good customer I said, "Don't tease me." Within a short period of time, I drove off the lot on my terms. I am humbled by the "Ourisman Commitment To Excellence, and Genuine Ourisman Customer Service throughout their organization. Do you know the meaning of Ourisman Chevrolet, Bowie MD? I do. It means, "Consummate Professionalism 24/7" This is a Bravo Zulu Commendation for Meredith Miller, Ozzie Turner III, Chad Silla, Keith Cobb, The Mechanic Section, and Each of the Friendly Service Admins during Check Out Bob Johnson, Proud Customer For Life 2017 Chevrolet Malibu 4 DR SDN Arctic Blue

Chris Powell has offered very quick and efficient service over the years. He has provided answers to all of my questions and concerns. This is the 5th Chevrolet my family and I have bought since 2014 and Chris has been very professional every time. It's a pleasure to work with Chris and his team (Meredith Miller). I am very e-mail oriented with working out a deal before spending a lot of time at the dealership and they both have been very accommodating in saving me valuable time sitting at the dealership. I look forward to working with them in the future.... I'm predicting a new Corvette or ZL1 , fingers crossed ! If you are in the market for a new or used vehicle Go to Ourisman of Bowie and ask for Chris Powell and Meredith Miller.
