I had a very good experience with my new car purchase at Palmer's Hyundai. This is my second Hyundai Sante Fe and I really love the quality of the Sante Fe.

The service department is horrible

I will NEVER take my vehicle back to Palmer’s to be serviced. First of all, the girl at the service desk (Lauren) had a very bad attitude. The customer service promises (posted in a huge poster on the wall) “every customer is greeted with a smile”. Well apparently she didn’t get that memo. She acted like I was interrupting her day. Regardless, I told her I had an appt and what the problem was. She said it would be “a couple of hours”. 3-1/2 hours later (during which I thought my vehicle was being fixed) I went to the front to find out how much longer. She said “they just brought your paperwork up, and they couldn’t find the problem.” Really?!? No update or anything the entire time!!! I told her the service tech that made the appt told me on the phone that they knew what the problem was, they had several other Tucsons with the same ac problem, and to bring it on in. In fact my coworker took hers in with the same problem and although it took 3 trips, (ordered wrong part once) they fixed hers. She said if they can’t make it “act up” they can’t fix it. That’s NOT what I was told when the appt was made. I asked to speak to the service tech and he “wasn’t available”. Really?!? I can’t talk to the person who worked on my vehicle??? I should have read the service dept reviews before I brought it here. I will be taking it to Eastern Shore Hyundai whom I have been told has a great service dept and the reviews seem to back that up. We’ll see!! Purchasing the car here was easy....getting it repaired... not so much. I’m guessing since it’s under warranty and don’t make any money...they simply don’t care.

Terrible experience for being a repeat customer

I have bought three cars from this dealership in about an 18 month. And this experience was terrible, total lack of appreciation for being a repeat customer, I have bought three cars from this dealership in about an 18 month. And this experience was terrible, told her lack of appreciation for being a repeat customer, and I felt like I was being nickeled and dimed the whole time I was there. I came in knowing the exact car I wanted and was already financed through my bank yet it took me almost 3 1/2 hours to get out of the dealership because of the hassling nickel and diming. Car number 4 will not be bought from this dealership.

Great experience buying my first new vehicle!

After shopping at several dealerships only for them to keep me there 4 hours plus, i received a call from Mike Booth at palmers hyundai. He was very straightforward and got me the price point i wanted right away! and in a year newer vehicle! I can't say enough about how well I was treated at Palmers Hyundai! I was in and out of there signing my paperwork within a half hour. Mike also took the time to walk me through how to operate all of the features on my new santa fe! The finance staff was very friendly as well! Love Palmers Hyundai and will highly recommend to everyone!

First time buyer had a wonderful experience

Mike was very friendly, professional, and quick yet thorough - I had to be at work later that afternoon and he kept things moving in the right direction until I found what I was looking for. He and Edward explained the paperwork, warranty information, and extended wear and tear information in an efficient manner, so that a young single woman like myself could understand and feel comfortable about her purchase.

Would not recommend

We found a car we liked and wanted to come back the next day to purchase. We were pre qualified with the credit union but they insisted they could get us a better rate. They said they could do a soft check of our credit and it wouldn't show or affect our credit. That was a lie and now the credit check will be on my record for 2 years and my credit score was lowered by 5 points because of it. They were very pushy and even followed us to the car changing the price twice in the way to the car. We did not go back to purchase the car because of the lies and will never shop there again. I also tried to call to talk to a manager about the credit check and he never came to the phone.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Excellent Experiences

I purchased my vehicle from Mike Booth. I have spoken to him in the past regarding purchasing a vehicle and at that time was unable to work out a deal due to my financial situation. At that time, I was upside-down in my current vehicle, had bad credit, and was trying to get into something to lower my monthly payment. Although it was not possible to do so, Mike did everything he could to help me. We only spoke over the phone and he was very respectful and kind to me. My situation changed months later, and I was in the position to purchase a vehicle without financing. I was still upside down in my vehicle, but I was able to work with Mike to get the vehicle that I was happy with at a price that I was comfortable with as well. Again, I spoke with Mike mostly over the phone and did not meet him in person until the day that I purchased the vehicle. I can not express how much I appreciate all of the things that Mike Booth has done for me during the purchasing process of my new Tucson. He has helped me every step of the way and has gone above and beyond to answer questions and assist me in learning how to utilize the features that my vehicle is equipped with. In addition, during the purchasing process, I worked with Edward McMurphy in the finance area. Again, I can not express how impressed I was with the professionalism, patience, and assistance I received during my time spent with him. He was able to make sure that I received the packages and extended warranties that I requested at a price that was within the budget that I was working with. With my previous vehicle, an Accent, I have worked with associates in the parts and service department, and also with the Tucson during installation of accessories that I added. John Gray has always been extremely helpful, professional, and courteous. He has always worked to make sure that whatever I wanted or needed was available. In the service department, I have always worked with Donna Burns. Whenever I have had to bring in my Accent for service, she has been able to figure out ways for me to get my car serviced around my busy schedule as I work two jobs. Every time that I have had to have someone from the service department give me a ride, the driver has been Fred. He has driven to pick me up from work at 5 pm and is always friendly, professional, and makes me feel comfortable and safe when I am riding with him. All of the members of the staff that I have worked with at Palmer's Hyundai with my Accent and especially during the purchase of my new Tucson have been wonderful to me, and I am happy to refer my friends to Mike Booth for anyone who is looking for a new car.

Best Car Buying Experience Ever

Palmer's Airport Hyundai is the place to go for the no pressure no nonsense way to buy a car. Friendly people not there trying to talk you into just any car to make a buck. Straight forward pricing without all the hidden fees. No false advertising schemes trying to convince you that you have a "free lifetime warranty" I'm telling you I have bought a lot of new cars from many different dealerships, but for now on I will only going to Palmer's Airport Hyundai when I need a car.
