Service department scam artists

They will make promises they can't keep. Insist they can make things "right". Fail to do so. And charge you for your trouble. Disgraceful!

Waste of time...

Like the previous review on 03/19/2017, it happened to me. Communication with Danit via email was misleading and waste of time. Going into this car buying process, I've already done my research on what vehicle I wanted and the price range I can afford. With the information I've provided to VW Ardmore I thought it was going to be easy and simple; but it wasn't Emails from Danit was short and simple; none of my questions were fully answered but with "Visit our dealership first & test drive, etc. (Standard sales statements). I oblige knowing this is the process but once we sat down and talk about the numbers, it was just a waste of time. Neil, the sales-rep provided numbers with their promotional rates on paper and when ask if they can provide more details on how numbers were calculated, it wasn't given. We calculated the numbers that we were offered and a surplus appeared compared to the listed price on their website. Unfortunately Neil couldn't provide an answer and had to go back and forth to a "Manager". Soon Danit appeared and informed us the "proper" promotional deal and how it can't be worked out. From the very beginning, I have informed VW Ardmore that I did not want to waste their time and want them to waste my time. Knowing their promotional deal/rates that couldn't be provided wasn't disclosed first thing which really rubs off the wrong way. Once I walked out and in my car, a gentleman (assuming its the GM) came up to my window and asked why am I confused? I informed him I'm not confused, I understood "their" promotion and method but it wasn't disclosed first thing and its not what I was looking for. Please don't waste.

Service Department will rip you off!!!!

Long story short I have a 5 year old jetta. Everytime I try to get through inspection they LIE and try to rip me for over $1k. Told me my brakes would not pass any they are fine, also told me to replace my blinker assembly for the wipers/fluid pump and it was simply a fuse. THEY LIE ABOUT WORKING ON YOUR CAR AND CHARGE YOU!!!! Told me they were dropping my fender and never did it. Charged me $125 just to look at it. DON'T GO HERE

Drove from New York to buy from Piazza!

Straight forward, up front, ZERO nonsense. I've bought my fair share of vehicles over the years and these folks were top notch. I drove from 35 minutes north of NYC to have the pleasure of dealing with these guys and the trip was well worth it! Daniel did everything he could, with constant contact and updates on the vehicle, and even quoted my trade right over email which was very convenient. If they have the vehicle you're looking for, there isn't much reason to look elsewhere. Thanks Piazza!

Vague and Misleading Internet Sales Communication

"Internet Sales Manager" is intentionally vague and misleading. I drove a long way with the intent of purchasing a quality CPO VW, with the assumption of being in the ballpark of my budget. Turns out the Tiguan had serious exterior scratches, and substantial interior cosmetic blemishes. This car was nowhere near the quality of other CPO VW vehicles I have seen. My frustrations multiplied when I realized the dealership had no intentions of working around the numbers we had discussed in email with the "Internet Sale Manager". The GM (a self-proclaimed appraisal expert) then proceeded to belittle me and question my pricing and research strategies. Despite an overall poor experience and wasting my time... I would like to make note that Neil, the sales guy we drove with was GREAT. He was one of the most personable salesmen I have ever driven with. Two thumbs up! We took our business a few miles down the road, and had a much better experience Wynn VW in Norristown. If you are looking to save time, and do business online with Piazza proceed with skepticism and caution. Get the quote in writing, and don't trust words like "we can work on that price for you" or "that's absolutely doable". I'm not the kind of person that writes negative reviews. I'm the kind of person who could get served the wrong item in a restaurant, and I would still eat it. BUT this was just one of those things that was so intentionally misleading, and the GM was so pompous I couldn't let it slide.

Great deal, friendly, no games.

I got a great deal on a 2017 Jetta that my local dealers said was impossible. The staff was nice, professional and did not play any of the games that are typical these days. They even went to bat with VW on a problem with my "Loyalty card" from VW.

Pleasant and easy

While this is a few months late, I wanted to be sure to give a review on my experience with Piazza and with Mike Robinson (sales) and John Zecchino (finance). I would never have driven out to Ardmore if it wasn't for Autotrader.com. I was starting to have issues with my second Jetta and needed to find a solid yet affordable replacement, and I found a beautiful used CC at a deal on the site that led me to the guys at Piazza. Mike was extremely helpful (even without an appointment) and took me on a nice long test drive, on which he didn't appear to fear for his life as tested the car on the twisty turning road! I was not "wowed" by the drive in the CC, so Mike urged me to test drive the 2014 Jetta GLI on the lot (only 10k miles) and I loved it!! His no pressure style was very welcome and from there the paperwork went very smoothly. I love the car and the deal! The whole experience was easy, fairly quick (as far as car buying experiences go) and really enjoyable. I would recommend them for your next car buying experience - and of course, I'll always recommend a VW!

Unresponsive

Very slow response to emails. Ask a question multiple times, days later your response is always, come in and test drive, rather than an answer to the question. Waste of time when I finally spent an hour driving to the dealership. The sales manager (Jamie Difebo) was busy at the Acura dealership, so they sent an inexperienced kid out to help me, of which he was none. They had sold the car I had inquired about, and that was the end of the conversation.

Great Service Dept. Sales and Parts not so much.

Sean, Vince, Shannon and everyone in service are a pleasure to deal with. I purchased my first VW here in 2003 (best price in the area) and have used the service department to this day. When I wanted to replace the 2003 in 2013, I used Consumer Reports buying service and received a substantially better price from a dealership in South Jersey. All of the Pennsylvania dealership prices were curiously similar. When I wanted to buy a package of two map updates for my navigation system, I bought it through the Parts department at Piazza VW. They were not informed about the MapCare product, but they researched it and ordered it for me. When the first update arrived I picked it up at the Parts Dept. So far so good. When I inquired about the second update a year later, I found that I was supposed to have registered the product and without that registration I could not obtain the second update. I was given no instruction about registering. I don't believe that Jim in the Parts dept. did all he could to help resolve the matter. I had given him a phone number and the name of someone at the map company who promised to help, but he did not make the call. Jim checked only with his rep who said nothing could be done without the original registration. I will order future updates without troubling the dealership.

Yest another fabulous Pizaaz experience!

Here is my latest Piazza VW Service story—and further evidence about why I regard the Piazza service team as the very best around. I had a small tear in the cloth upholstery of my Beetle. I called the service department and asked them to order a replacement for the bottom portion of the seat and to notify me when I could come in and get the work done. Later that day, I received a call from Ken Dacanay, one of the fabulous service people who comprise Neil Berger’s team. Ken said he had been informed by the Service Dept. that I had ordered the seat and although they would be happy to replace it, they could repair it for a fraction of the $700 cost of replacement. I brought it in, they repaired it completely, it looks brand new, and they charged me $45. Piazza is the most customer-focused service department I have ever encountered.

"Mike Robinson-a great addition to the Piazza Ardmore Team"

I came in to see if it would be worth my wild to trade in my VW Passat after receiving a promotional offer in the mail. I met with Mike Robinson at my scheduled appointment time and he got right to work on figuring out an offer that included the promotional mailing + additional incentives that my husband and I found to be very satisfactory. He was very personable, honest, knowledgeable and, very importantly, patient with us. He even called me to ask me what type of cell phone I have so that he could order me the correct MDI cable for the car. When it was time to come in to sign the papers he had everything all organized and ready for us which helped expedite the process. My husband appreciated Mike's professionalism so much that he is considering working with him again over the next few weeks to trade in our used car for another VW. We've grown to love the VW cars and are even more delighted that we now have a competent salesperson Mike at Piazza to do our business with.

Saw the selection of Beatles online and came in. The car I wanted was on the showroom floor. Jamie greeted me right away and was SUPER helpful. She immediately got a few cars ready for me to test drive then organized getting the car I wanted out of the showroom for me to test. I wasn't planning on taking the car that day. I thought I would have to come back later in the week as I was pressed for time. Jamie and John (the manager that day) were fast with the paperwork and just the right combination of personal and business. I couldn't have been happier to drive out of there in my new car! THANKS!!!

Responsive management team

I had a bad experience at this dealership and within 3 days David Greaves (upper management) had reached out to me to make it better. He went above and beyond to make the situation better and made me feel that he truly cared about the customer and that he honestly wanted to make it right. The car I wanted was hard to find but he was able to search high and low to find the model I requested in order to make it right. I truly can't say enough about the level of dedication that David and the team at Piazza VW showed me. They truly turned my experience around.

Had a great experience purchasing our new Golf from Sue Choi. She was friendly, informative and patient, especially since this was our first time purchasing a car! Ended up getting a good price on our car. We only wish we were staying in the area so we could continue dealing with them for what looks like a great maintenance schedule.
