IF YOU WANT HONESTY - RUN FAR AND FAST AWAY FROM POHANKA!

I PRICED A NEW 2019 TACOMA - VERY SPECIFIC IN WHAT I WANTED. WAS QUOTED A VERY COMPETITIVE PRICE. THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE TRUCK ON THE LOT BUT IT WAS COMING IN. I DIDN'T MIND BECAUSE I WAS SELLING MY OLD TRUCK ON MY OWN. OVER THE COURSE OF A WEEK, I WAS IN CONTANT COMMUNICATION WITH THE SALES PERSON (KAYLA) AND CONFIRMED THE TRUCK CONFIGURATION SEVERAL TIMES (I HAVE AN EMAIL TRAIL). MY TRUCK SOLD TODAY. I TOLD HER I'M READY TO PUT MONEY DOWN - SHE COMES BACK WITH A DIFFERENT TRUCK (4 CYL VS 6 CYL AND ACCESS CAB VS DOUBLE CAB - BOTH OF WHICH HAD BEEN FULLY DISCUSSED MULTIPLE TIMES OVER THE WEEK - AND IN EMAIL). SO NOW TELLS ME THE PRICE IS $4000 MORE THAN WHAT I HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY TOLD! RUN, RUN , RUN AWAY. YOU CAN'T TRUST THEM!

Bradley Hunter-Satisfaction #1 Goal

We don’t write reviews but have to for the experience we had. Bradley Hunter should be the salesman of the year. He was exceptionally responsive to every need we had as customers shopping for a car. Bradley is very knowledgeable about the cars that he shows. He promptly and clearly answered every single question we had and we had many. In the few instances in which he could not answer a question he pledged to find an answer and did so quickly. He had cars brought out to us at lightning speed, set up for test drives and parked side-by-side for easy comparison. He never wasted a minute of our time and in fact made the whole experience a pleasant one and something that we would have never anticipated. In short, Bradley Hunter helped us buy a car; the car did not sell itself as some would believe. Pohanka is fortunate to have Bradley, a thorough and highly skilled, conscientious employee. don't ever think of buying a car from here, just bought 2016 Nissan altima with only 25,k miles on it for $17,500 and traded my old car , i agreed with sales man on finance amount Witch is $14,500 and a the next day I looked at the papers and it says $15,200, not only that the car start makes noises two weeks later and i called pohanka and they told they can't help me with that unless I pay the labor like seriously I just paid 17 and half grnads and you want me to already start fixing the car, two months later the tires and the breaks needed to be changed that will cost around one thousand, i didn't pay 17k to start fixing car that should be like brand new car like how could you deceive people and lie and sell people something like that, will never come back here and i don't suggest this dealer ship to anyone they're will steal you while you watching, go to the car store much better and honest people !

Bradley Hunter

I was on-line yesterday (11-19-18), browsing for a vehicle. I just wanted to check out some prices to see what I had to save in order to purchase one. As I was browsing, I received a call from a salesman at Pohanka Toyota in Salisbury, Mr. Bradley Hunter, asking if I needed any assistance with my search. I informed Mr. Hunter of the kind of vehicle I was looking for, the price range, and what I needed my monthly payments to be around. Mr Hunter informed me that he would do everything in his power to assist me, and that I should come in to see him at the office the following day. I was a little hesitant at first, because I didn’t think I would be able to purchase a vehicle so soon. When I arrived at pohanka, I was greeted by warm and friendly salespersons within a comfortable atmosphere. I was then met by Mr. Bradley Hunter, whom I spoke to on the night before. Mr Hunter was very kind, patient, courteous, and professional. After going through the necessary steps to purchase the vehicle I originally wanted, I found that I was unable to purchase the same. However, Mr. Hunter looked my wife and I in the eyes and said, “ don’t worry, I promise you will be leaving in a new car today.” Mr. Hunter went well out of his way to ensure we received a reliable vehicle today, and if it weren’t for him, we don’t know where we’d be. I have never seen the level of customer service displayed by Mr. Hunter today ever. I would recommend him to anyone buying a vehicle. He made the process a walk in the park. Thanks again Bradley Hunter, and to all the associates at Pohanka Toyota in Salisbury, MD.

Will bombard you with credit checks without permission

I wish I could go lower than half of a star. I went into the dealership to browse a few cars and filled out some paperwork and asked, and was assured, that no inquiries would be submitted until I gave them approval to do so. I ended up not pursuing a new vehicle due to insurance increase. After I said no thank you, they proceeded to try my credit FIVE SEPARATE times. I have a perfect credit history but it's in it's infancy so it's having to build from ghost. But i took a HARD hit on my score becasue these jerks tried 5 times and it looks denied (although it wasn't) because I didn't go through with the sale that I told them I needed to wait and see on. It set me back a lot. My bank was iffy to allow me a loan becasue of this dealership's awful persistence.

Coming off a poor experience from a dealership that would like to earn our business, my wife gave Pohanka a shot on a friends recommendation. What a difference! Mike treated my wife with kindness and respect, went above and beyond to make her happy , repeatedly beat the sales manager down to get her the best deal possible and had real answers for all her questions ! When he didn’t have the answer he found out for sure instead of guessing or winging it. It was truly a professional sales experience and we came away feeling like we found a car salesman we can know and trust for life!

multi-point inspection report

The multi-point inspection report they give you at this dealership is a fraud. They never check anything on that list really.... I took my car in a week later the break started squeaking really bad. Turns out the breaks pad was done all the way. But the inspection report said my breaks were in perfect condition.... If you guys want to charge for it and actually do the inspection but dont pretend to do an inspection and the report is useless..

Bad serive

This place will rip you off on your trade, be careful look else where!!!! This would had been my third vehicle there but I'm not going lose five thousand on a trade. Last two cars I did not have a trade, this was also a car I just bought ,9 months ago and now they want to give me five thousand dollar lose..

Scam Artist

This has to be by far one of the worst dealerships I've ever dealt with and I'm so thankful that I didn't purchase from them. Here's my story...I started talking with my sales guy over the phone about a vehicle that I was interested in purchasing. We ended up discussed pricing over the phone since I really didn't want to drive 3 hours for nothing. The good news was we agreed on a price of the vehicle quickly but the bad news was we didn't agree on the trade in value. I informed him that CarMax had offered me 1k more than they did ( appraisal in hand) which his boss who agreed to match. At this point I'm back to being very interested in purchasing this vehicle. As I'm getting ready to start my journey, I call my sales guy to let him know that I'm on the way. No answer and no call back...I called him again when I'm an hour out and nothing. Traffic ended up being a mess so unfortunately I had to turn around as I wouldn't make it before the dealership closed. Next morning I call him a few times to confirm pricing and no answer, no call back. Finally demanding that I speak with my sales guy before the long drive, he picks up the phone and informs me that the vehicle price went up $800 since my vehicle trade in value went up $1000. I said that's not at all what you told me over the phone yesterday and we had an agreement. He came back with " sorry someone is here to buy the truck as we speak but If the deal falls through, I can let you know". Needless to say, this dealership is crooked and I highly recommend you purchase from a reliable place, not these SCAM ARTIST

Three Strikes!

I have had nothing but issues with Pohanka from the beginning. When I made the decision to buy my 2015 Toyota Carolla, the dealer who was selling me the car said "just between us girls, why don't you look at this other car". I was annoyed but kindly told him no thank you. After I went through the purchasing process, I was ready to leave and noticed that there was no license plate on the front of the car. The dealer told me that MD has a new law that if there is no bracket, there is no need to put one on the car. Two days later, I was cruising with my two boys (4 and 1 at the time) and I was pulled over by the police for not having my plate on the front of my car (strike 1). Months later, I get a notice in the mail that the bank was going to put a lien on my car because Pohanka did not put them as the loan holder on the title (strike 2). On Saturday, I took my car in to get an oil change. I was irritated that they did a tire rotation without asking me and then charged me for it anyway. On top of that they had a laundry list of random things that they "recommend" me have done. I declined everything but an air filter and the oil change (but still not mention of rotating my tires). The next day when I drove my son to the doctors, my wheels were vibrating so badly I couldn't hear him talking to me from my back seat. So, I took it back in and asked them to take a look. After waiting an hour, I was told that essentially I needed four new tires. I was furious! I explained that my car wasn't doing that when I brought it in and it had to be something they did to make the tires vibrate like they were and that I was absolutely NOT going to buy four new tires. He told me that they would put the tires back the way they were before they touched them on Saturday. I allowed them to do it even though in the back of my mind I didn't know what difference it would make if they were SO bad! When he came out to give me my keys I asked him if he was going to refund my money from the original rotation, since I didn't ask for it to be done. He smiled and told me that he had to charge me and that I was lucky he wasn't charging me for the "unrotation". I couldn't believe what he was saying and at this point I had, had enough. I said "Well, that certainly is nice of you....but I won't be coming back!" My suggestion, don't buy from them and don't go to their service department. They will find any way to rip you off!

Purchase of used vehicle

I purchased my FJ Cruiser from Pohanka Toyota last month. It was a great experience!! Patrick Branon was wonderful. I told him what I wanted and needed in a vehicle. I wanted something I could go on the beach with, and a bit rugged for me and my dogs. He helped me pick out the perfect car, he didn't try to sell me something I didn't want. He was very easy and pleasant to work with. He knew all the features on the car and even set my Bluetooth. The manager Thurman gave me an Excellent deal. There was none of the usual back and forth business, he offered me a fare deal right out of the gate. The finance manager Rachel was very knowledgeable, fast and efficient. The process was less then 2 hours from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this dealerships!!

Our salesperson Trevor Howard treated us very well and we were happy with our deal on a used 2015 Highlander. Our problems began when our temp MD tags were to run out in 5 days. I called Tyreas Ballard and was told they needed a check for the special DE tags. I took off work to resolve issue. I informed her, no check was needed for Reg tags, She assured me they could walk thru and overnight my special order tags ( Same number but Black and white stainless) and I would have them Friday, THEY NEVER ARRIVED. On Monday I called DMV and was told Pohanka did title work and had my Reg tags in hand on THURSDAY, THEY NEVER CALLED TO GIVE ME THE OPTION OF PICKING THEM UP!! When I called on Monday I was told they were in the mail THIS IS THE 4th DAY VEHICAL CANNOT BE DRIVEN So i have a 2015 highlander sitting in my driveway that we can't drive, and it seems no one cares...

I saw my dream car(red 2012 TT FJ Cruiser) on their website in February of 2015 on a Friday and was there the next day to hopefully get it. The salesperson,Suzanne although very nice seemed like she was a newbie and struggled with answering some basic questions which I can't really blame her for inexperience. Overall I was treated quite nicely but they offered a laughable amount for my trade-in which we finally came to an agreed price and as all dealerships do they tried to tack on extras that I really didn't need and promptly refused. After doing research the price I paid was very fair considering it was a very limited edition with relatively low mileage for an FJ. I would recommend them but like all car dealerships keep your eyes wide open and your BS meter on high gear.

Worst place to ever buy a car!!! Everyone and i mean everyone there is rude with ZERO communication to clients! I puchased a defected car from them 10days ago i have been in there 3times, to have it easily repaired! Everytime im there my wait time is 3-6 hours!!! Plus, i have a 2 yr old with me! And they dont tell me whats going on! xxx!!! They are all lazy & rude people! I am ready to return the xxxx car and tell them to shove it! There are better places out there to puchase a car. Very untrustworthy dealership! They cant buy my trust back. I am very discouraged.
