Worst service experience.

Worst service experience I ever encounter. Louis Mignone was very unprofessional and simply just a total rip-off. Took my 2011 town & country (64k mileage) in for service check engine light code P0005D. Dealer changed cam xxx sensor bank2 & oil control valve ($1700.00 cost). Drove the car 40 miles and the check engine light came back. Took the car into the dealership only to be told that another part needed to change and I have to pay for additional parts and labor.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Rude , unprofessional service director Alex Vetere

Sadly after a near 20yr relationship I am done with this dealership after dealing with their very rude and extremely unprofessional service director Alex Vetere today. As if it wasn't bad enough to return to Port Jeff for service for the same issue 3 or 4 times (I'm losing count) but today this clown calls me and demands to know who authorized the loaner given to my wife this morning BY THEM. Says to bring it back as they are for "customers only". I have bought and serviced a literal fleet of cars there since 2000 , maybe earlier. Recommended the dealership to countless people. Well no more. If this imbecile is who they deem worthy of a management position , I question their judgement. The first time they claimed they fixed a software issue and it was fixed. Then (after i replaced my key fob batteries with new just in case) they said the new batteries were bad and charged me for new ones. Today's drop off was the 3rd or 4th. The loaner was because it was a recurring issue. I didn't buy this 2015 Durango R/T at Port Jeff becuase I was told by a salesman they couldn't get me one. I found 17 at East Hills , who will now be my new servicing dealer and future sales recipient. I was patient even in the face of return trips until this loud mouth called me to bark at me over his incompetence. I called for either the GM (Rich) or owner Scott , but to no avail. However Alex picked up and continued his rude tirade, then actually hung up on me. Needless to say I picked up my Truck and will never look back. I intend to discuss this with a few important FCA friends I have whom I have been fortunate to have met and hang out with over the years as i race two SRT-8's I own at the tracks. I also participate in SRT Rountable engineering discussions on the various forums I belong to. I look forward to spreading the word on Yelp , DealerRatings.com and other social media outlets to forewarn others to deal with Port Jeff at their own risk. Nicely played Alex.

Worst Service

I bought a car on January 23, 2017, THREE weeks after taking the car home the radio stopped working. I made an appointment to get it fixed at Port Jefferson Jeep Chryster, after dropping my car off for the appointment they told me they weren't able to replace the navigation/radio unit and needed to order me a new one. It is now May 24, 2017 THREE months after my initial appointment and I still have NO RADIO. They have done nothing, I have been given the run around by every employee in the dealership and service department. I was told it would be in May 15, on the 15 I called and was told I was misunderstood and it would be in May 18, and now on May 24, making 4 phone calls today alone to Tim in service, Nick in service and Chuck the manager...I STILL HAVE NO RADIO, or even an answer as to when it will be in, I have not even recieved a phone call back. I should have gone to Consumer Affair over a month ago. This dealership and its customer service sucks. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE.

Thank You Tony Bottone at Port Jeff Chrysler Jeep for making this the easiest and best buying experience in 40 years of vehicle purchasing. it was nice to have a no pressure salesman who knows all the little details about what he's selling. I purchased a 2015 Ram 1500 with a trade in and drove off the lot the same day. I was told upfront what the price and all fees would be, and that's what I paid for the vehicle. There were no hidden add on's and no surprises. After months of online comparison and face to face shopping at many dealerships I would have to say It was a great price for the vehicle I bought and I received exactly what I expected for my trade in.

Most Ridiculous car buying experience

I was there to buy a used 2015 Grand Cherokee, first sales person didn't tell me that the car used to be a rental. I called them back to cancel the transaction first thing in the morning and went out there. Looked at another one and I liked it. Price was 25K, they bring the price $500 down and I told them that I will talk to my wife and come back. 30 minutes later I called them back and informing them I will buy the car. Surprise ... They told me that I can't buy the car for $24500. Because they found out the options that car have worth more.. Never again..

If they were giving them away I still wouldnt go

Wouldn't step in this dealership if they were giving them away. Despite the new service department which is just as bad as the old and if you didn't buy the Jeep from them your treated second rate. Too top off there exception service they didn't even pull the jeep around for my fiance when she went to pick it up who clearly had a foot cast on her left foot. When asked... "we don't do that here".

I would not recommend this dealer.

Best car purchase experience, even across state lines

I wanted a very specific Jeep with very specific features and wasn't interested in making any compromises while looking for a fair price and a dealership worthy of my business. After viewing inventory on Jeep's website I found an exact match at Port Jeff. I tried to work with local dealers (I live in Connecticut) but had a hard time finding help in trying to get this car to me. A quick call and a chat with Rob Giordano from the sales team and we were in business. A short ferry trip the next day, picked up by Rob and brought to the dealership, sign papers, get a tour of the truck and back on the ferry I went with my brand new vehicle. The whole team is made up of straight shooters. I was never pressured into any add-on, unnecessary coverage, etc. just an honest deal with two very happy parties at the end. The only downside is that I won't be using them for service as they are an hour away by ferry.

I would recommend this dealer.

We just had our Jeep Laredo... ( out of state plates)... but we live locally a few months a year in Bellport , repaired at Port Jefferson Jeep Service. We were looking for a reliable courteous staff and we found it. EXCELLENT communication ; TIM kept us informed with 3 phone calls. Exemplary My daughter had used them for minor repairs ( same car) with the same courteous & professional service.

Was on a losing streak with owning jeeps and Port Jeff turn that around for me. From the minute I walked in the door I felt at ease and felt that I could trust them. Will R. who was our salesman was absolutely amazing!!! He helped us find a truck that fitted our needs and our budget. He made me me laugh and was understanding. What added a nice personal touch to our buying experience was the owner Scott came over and introduced himself to us to me it was so nice to see someone that is so high up still walk around and greet his customers and make them feel at home. I love my truck! I am so happy I went with this dealership the sales department and the service department goes above and beyond for its customers.I also love how their cars on their lot are not test drove from many many miles all the new cars had very very low to no mileage on them and are kept very clean. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone that is looking for a jeep!The guy in the finance department was also very nice and got us the best rate possible to purchase our truck. Thank you again for making my buying experience a good one instead of all the ones that I have had in the past two years.

I highly recommend Port Jedd Chrysler! From the moment we arrived there till we left with my truck it was a great experience. We bought a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 and it was like new, a gorgeous truck! Vanessa gave us so much time and was so attentive and friendly! She is not pushy and makes you feel really comfortable. Carlo in finance was also wonderful and helpful. Buyer Beware

We purchased a used car for our son. The saleswoman was terrific, unfortunately that's the extent of the positive experience. We took delivery on a Friday night and had our mechanic inspect the car first thing Saturday morning, That's when we found out the car had been in a major collision, and despite the excellent body work, there were numerous issues underneath the car. Bob, the used car manager wanted nothing to do the us or the car. In less than 24 hours this dealer went from our 'best friend' to washing their hands of the car. Granted, by law, the dealer does not have to disclose the previous collision, however they could have worked with us to rectify the concerns we had with the car and by making us happy we would have considered buying from them again in the future. Unfortunately, Port Jeff Chrysler, when given a choice to do the right thing or nothing, chose to do nothing. Our first and last purchase from this dealership. They are phonies and thieves.

Crooks - Poor Service

I just left Port Jefferson Chrysler Jeep Dodge. I have had consistently bad service from every Dodge dealership I have been to. My experience with Nick Meola at PJ Dodge was no different. I made an appointment with this dealership because it is local and I purchased my previous Dodge Ram from this dealership. While on vacation in Hilton Head SC, the engine failed (valve failure) in this Ram. The dealership in Hilton Head spent 10 days attempting to fix the engine but reinstalled the timing belt upside down when putting the engine back together. Upon test driving the vehicle, the service technician blew the engine a second time. Having no confidence in Dodge's ability to repair the truck, I reluctantly purchased a replacement Dodge Ram from the dealership so that I could return home. this vehicle came with a full warranty. A couple months later, the parking sensor in the front bumper failed. Upon inspection, it had fallen out of the bumper and was inaccessible inside the bumper compartment. I arranged for service with PJ Dodge. On March 9, 2016, I returned the service department at PJ Dodge and spoke to Nick Meola. I explained the problem and told Nick that the repair should be covered under warranty - as I had very recently purchased the truck. Immediately, Nick Meola started making excuses why the repair wouldn't be covered under warranty - this is before the vehicle was even taken into the service area! While the truck was in the service area, I was confronted by Nick Meola who said he couldn't find the sensor and continued his rhetoric about how it was impossible that the sensor bracket had failed (because he had never experienced that) and that "something" hit the bumper - he even went so far as to create scenarios - "a bird hit the bumper" and narrowed right in on the sensor which is the size of a dime. Just brilliant! It was finally determined that a $12 part was needed to repair the sensor. Nick Meola continued his ranting about how I would have to pay for the part and several hours of service at $65 per hour because "a bird must have hit the sensor". To top off my horrific experience with Nick Meola and PJ Dodge, they attempted to charge me for 30 minutes of service to determine that the sensor had fallen out of the bumper. Of course, I told them this when I entered the service department. After complaining, to the service manager, this fee was waived.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Bad Retailer and Poor Service

I now buy my Jeep's at Brown's in Patchogue because of my poor experience with this dealership. I purchased one of my first Jeep's here and they did nothing but play games with me. They kept trying to get more money and change the payments. They even made mistakes on my lease agreement that I noticed before I signed it. They played a lot of shady games. I brought numerous Jeep's and a car to the service department, which has continued to get worse. I had a car where they told me it needed new breaks, tires, and they came up with a crazy high amount for mechanic work. I took it to another mechanic and Brown's; half of the work did not need to be done and the labor was not even close to the crazy numbers they were coming up with. They are nothing buy shady scammers. Stay away and look at the real reviews around on both their dealership and service department. Save a lot of headaches and money and find a new dealership.

Fantastic Experience!

It had been several years since we bought a new car and we were pleasantly surprised when we visited Port Jeff Chrysler Jeep. Our sales consultant was Nick Calandrino and he worked diligently to get us the EXACT car we were looking for. We visited the dealership several times and it seemed that Nick was always there to answer our questions. The day we picked up our new Jeep Cherokee, he spent a long time going over all the features and could not have been more accommodating. Our final experience was with Adam Donin, the Finance Manager who was also very friendly and able to answer any questions we had. We would definitely recommend Port Jeff Chrysler Jeep to friends and family and are looking forward to enjoying our new Jeep in the coming years.

I have purchased many cars from Port Jeff Chrysler Jeep. I find their service department to be one of the best there is. They are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and listen to what you have to say. They have a shuttle service to take you back to your home and will pick you up when car is ready. It is because of their service and friendly ways that I keep going back. Plus they gave me the best price on a trade-in and worked with me on a new car purchase.
