Wonderful buying experience

My husband and I walked in on a cold day to just look at cars. We ended up buying one. Jimmy who was filling in from Volvo across the street was wonderful and so was Sarah. Sarah even warmed the car up for us and made sure she got the new car over before the service dept. closed. One of the best car buying experience we have had.

Best car buying experience ever!

Premier Mazda is a great place to service and buy a car. They serviced my 2006 Mazda 6 for several years. When it came to replace it, Jim Bogard & Sarah Taylor, provided the best experience I've ever had. No pressure. Just support and willingness to listen to what I wanted & didn't want. I ended up getting a great deal on a new 2018 CX5. Jim spent a full hour showing me how to use all the safety features as well as the navigation & sound system.

My 23 year old daughter needed a car, Jim B at Mazda overland park was wonderful and Jimmy L took care of all the paperwork quickly. For my daughters first experience buying a car it was a positive experience.

Helpful, nice, and no gimmicks

The dealership was clean, bright, and organized. I worked with Sarah Taylor, who was great. She went on the test drive with me, which I prefer so I can ask questions as I go. Back at the dealership, the negotiation was painless and nothing was hidden from me. Because so much information is available on the internet, they don't have a lot of wiggle room, but I felt they were fair with negotiating what we both liked. I worked on the negotiation with Jimmy Loveland, I had to go back the next day to pick up and sign, and Jacob was nice and easy to work with, but always check the agreed-upon price and the agreed-upon interest rate. That's pretty typical, I didn't find it unusual. It's his job. One of the salesmen who owns the model I bought took the time to walk me through some features, which he didn't have to do. All in all, I would definitely go back to Premier and I would recommend them to my friends and family. Sarah Taylor is new enough that she's not listed in the ratings, but I'd give her five stars. Jimmy Loveland is actually the manager of Premier Volvo, who was managing both locations at the same time that day, so he isn't listed at this location but I'd give him five stars.

Sales man Cassio and managers team are very nice and helpful. They walked us through every step of the process..love my new car and everything about the dealership so far. Amazing service with very proffesional and nice team..i would recommend Mazda for all my friends and family

April 2019 - Dealership has shut down for good.

Update: Just tried to schedule service and the place is closed for good. Unexpected considering I have a recent email from Jim describing a remodel coming soon. A little disappointed due to the trek for free car washes is no longer worth it. ---------- end of update ---------- We bought a car. We haggled some on Friday, we haggled some more on Saturday, and come Saturday afternoon the papers were signed. I dealt mostly with Jim who knew his xxxx. He is a car salesman, he was a dick at times, he was my best friend at other times. But when I left with keys in hand, I genuinely felt like he was prepared to make sure I was happy AFTER the purchase had been made. I appreciate that. I also dealt with EJ who guided me through the test drive and features, etc. He had the book answers and seemed like a good guy. Lastly, I closed with Jacob. I was happy with how he handled himself. I feel like Jim is the ringer and Jacob just watches and plucks keys until they get paid. I can appreciate that as well. It was a pretty mundane car buying experience, I don't think I got played. But I couldn't tell you with 100% certainty I didn't. I have a car I'm happy with and that's that. They did their job, so I'm happy.

Awesome and Fast

Competitive pricing, fast and easy selling me a car! I researched the car I wanted, which Premier had in stock for the best price! They were fast with emailing back me asking if I wanted to schedule a test drive. I came in with the car ready for me to test drive. Financing and paperwork were quick and painless.

Good car buying experience

We bought a new 2018 CX 5. They didn't have the car we wanted on their lot so they said they would get on over from the other lot. We came back two days later (from outside KC area) it was the right car and outside color we wanted but not the inside color was wrong and didn't have what we wanted. Jim and EJ worked with us to get what we wanted. Jim found a car and had it ready for us in 2 days. Yes we had a extra trip for nothing but Jim did offer us some gas in my vehicle but we declined. Finally we get the car, perfect shape and ready to use. EJ was our salesman, he is young and will develop into a good salesman someday, he just needs to know his product a bit better. We liked working with him and Jim also helped with getting us the car, he is true professional. We financed with them and Jacob guided us right through the process explaining everything he put in front of us. Overall they got us the car for the price we wanted. We would buy a car from them again and would refer people to buy from them.

Dishonest Sales Team

I purchased a car yesterday at Premier Mazda and was lied to by Cassio and Jacob during the negotiation process When negotiating down the monthly payment, I was informed that we could reduce the monthly payment by removing the accessory charge of $399. I was informed that the accessory charge consisted of weather mats, service, maintenance, and car wash. Weather mats are a part and seemed consistent with the accessory charge but service from the service department seemed out of place. I asked and reconfirmed with Cassio and Jacob that the service is part of the accessories and was told this is indeed the case. After purchasing the vehicle and returning home, I've found (attached) that the service & maintenance, as well as the car wash, are included complimentary for one year. Then I discovered that the $399 accessory charge consisted of only the weather mats. This means I was purposely misled during the negotiation process so that the dealership could retain a service that it offered for free. Having reconfirmed the question, I feel completely deceived by the shady strategies practiced at Premier Mazda. This dealership gets one star for dishonesty and acting in bad faith during the negotiation process. HERE is the updated review Jacob asked for: I received a call from Jacob stating that it was a "misunderstanding". I went in to pick up my old paper they had us sign yesterday that stated "no accessories: no maintenance, no mats" and received a new paper stating that I certainly do have it. Although, I am thankful they resolved this so quickly, I did not receive any apologies from either rep. (They also tried crossing out the "no maintenance" on the old paper with a blue pen).

I would not recommend this dealer.

Premier Mazda was the best dealership in Kansas City when it came to the whole package. The internet salesperson Christina Beck, was awesome. Jim Bogard is the main reason we decided to buy a Mazda over the other brands we were looking at, as well as just a great guy to work with. He knew we were moving to California the week following the vehicle lease, and even called us to make sure we made it safe and sound.

As stressful and confusing as car troubles can be, I've had excellent communication from my contacts Tony + David, and their resolve to fixing mistakes has to be commended. I appreciate their customer service and commitment to quality. Thanks guys.

Got the car I wanted

The salesman (Jim Fishbaugh) did a really good job in looking out when we took off on the test drive, and did a really good job in explaining the features of the car in a short amount of time (Not easy with all the new electronic displays that even base model cars have now). If I were to do it all over again I'd push for a better deal, but in the end I did the car I wanted, and a good warranty package that did fit my budget. Overall very smooth transaction, and I am happy with the car.
