JUST A TOTAL NIGHTMARE FOR SALES AND SERVICE

Purchased a 2016 truck and salesman said told I could pick up the truck truck in 2 days because of prep and servicing. Came to pick up truck with salesman in attendance and did the insurance and vehicle transfer. We then noticed that windshield had a crack along the location of the windshield wiper arm. We both agreed that that was not there when I initially viewed it and test drove it. While not having taken the truck off the lot as yet, the salesman indicated that because it was now in my name, it would be at my cost to have it repaired. I suggested to speak to the sales manager about who should cover the cost and they agreed to cover the cost although to suggest I pay was a bit of a cheap shot from a reputable dealer. That evening I looked at what was serviced and I noticed the service included new wiper blades so I can pretty well believe that the service dept snapped the wiper arm on the windshield causing the crack. Then in two weeks after, I noticed the oil pressure display on my screen, assuming it was to notify me about a problem. I contacted service about it and could not get my truck in for 8 days. Finally brought it in at 10:00 a.m..that particular day and took me 45 min. to finally get service and my courtesy car and go my way....much too long. Service dept called late afternoon...suggested nothing wrong with oil pressure and that it was a computer glitch. That took 7 hours to determine. Then wanted to keep the truck overnight to test drive in the morning to determine if glitch had been fixed. Called next morning and they now believed it needed a pressure sensor replacement. They called mid afternoon that problem had been fixed. Picked up the truck and then glanced at the screen and the oil pressure display was back on..No, I did not turn around to bring it back as I was so pissed off with Preston....so 2 days in service and nothing achieved..just a bad experience,...have decided that Preston Chev. Is not a place for me.

Great service dept , but sales and parts dept not so much !

Even though I purchased my new vehicle elsewhere , I prefer having it serviced at Prestons . It's easily accessible and the staff friendly and helpful . With most appointments over 2 hrs. the courtesy car service comes in handy .

Worst Service Department

The service department knows nothing, they 'book' you an appointment and then when you call to confirm no one knows who you are. No one answers transferred calls. Only call when you have a lot of time, because you'll be holding for a long time. Dealing with this dealership is tiresome and frustrating to say the least. Would not recommend them to anyone.

Buying a truck

Our initial experience with Preston was not the best. We were dealing with Salesman Bob Noble and found he didn't know anything about the trucks we were looking into, yet tried to sound like he did and was very pushy about it. We ended up purchasing from another dealership, but because we live in Langley, Preston is more practical. That's when we met Tandice. She is extremely polite, always makes sure we are happy when we leave. Absolutely amazing customer service! She follows up quickly, with the appropriate information and didn't try to upsell us on anything. I would recommend Preston based on our experience with Tandice alone, as well as the mechanic and parts team.

I do NOT recommend purchasing a car at Prestons!

I will continue to discourage my family & friends from ever purchasing a car or truck from Prestons. I found they are very friendly and helpful until they get your money, the you're on your own! My Chevrolet Cruze Turbo Diesel is falling apart and Prestons will take no responsibility unless I can show it is a factory defect. I didn't look under the car to see if the pieces were intact when I bought it so how am I to determine that? The fact is, they know I can't prove it, so too bad so sad! The staff in the service department (one individual specifically) is rude, arrogant & sarcastic. The service manager just sits in his office & says no, we don't cover that, doesn't even come out to talk to the customer. I could go on & on, yes there is more! I am looking forward to selling my piece of junk Chev. Cruze, maybe I'll buy a Ford next time. But whateverI buy it won't be from this awful dealership that has zero respect for its customers and takes zero responsibility for its product.

Warm toes

I don't take my vehicles to dealers cause of horrible experiences in the past but I took my truck to Preston today to fix a funny problem.... I finally had warm toes driving home for the first time all winter !!! That's a big deal! And there was no surprises when it came time to pay the bill ... all n all I was very impressed 😊

ETHICS QUESTIONABLE TYPICAL USED SALES CAR DEALERSHIP TATICS

Was evasive when I requested to review the service history records (Pre-owned Vehicle Service Records) and existing warranty. The documents were available to review if I was to come down and see the vehicle when requested for it to be sent to me to review the car went from available to sold. This has happened on 2 different requests on 2 different vehicles.

Won't stand behind what they sell

Bought a used truck Preston certified, second day home went into the shop could not pull my fif th wheel abs system and sensors gone this was an 1800$ bill injectors and turbo issues. Had to do a complete 4x4 service and trans service which was on there work order to do. This is all with in 200km. 300 km later truck broke down had back in the shop the maf sensor went and a exhuast manifold had to be repaired along with the 4 tires that was on the work order to replace $2000 bill. Have left messages no reply. They were nice when selling me the truck and now nothing, I hope they have the good sense to rectify this, as my next coarse of action is the media and lawyers.

wow amazing company

on July 4, 2016 I entered Preston Chevrolet in Langley with Abby( Abegail - 1981 GMC motorhome). she was making a terrible noise . I was on my way home to |Edmonton when Abby started making a very loud engine noise. I initially went to Canadian Tire in Langley but they were closed so I stayed in their parking lot overnight (thanks for the free wi fi) in the morning they advised that they did not service RV,s and sent me to Preston Chevrolet. - Excellent choice.- I arrived at Preston Chevrolet at 8:30am, Jon Cuhat was amazing. I explained my problem and that I was on my way home to Edmonton. He brought my vehicle in, discussed it with the other staff, and by 10.52 am I was back on the road. thank you Jon for the great service and to the staff at Preston Chevrolet that were so willing to help a stranded traveler. YOU ARE AMAZING

Heather in finance was knowledgeable and helpful. Paul the sales manager was accomodating to my needs. Service dept helped me out in a pinch when I needed a little tweak. LOOOOOOVE my NEW RIDE!!!! :-) Seriously was never a better car buying experience. Thanks for making it so easy and pleasant - I will be doing all my service there too. The people are EXCELLENT! Mix of good and shabby

Oldsmobile Intrigue 2002. The service people are friendly but I question service performed. Was told the safety of vehicle was excellent. Parents owned it prior and always took it to dealership for service. I had a prov. insp. done - signal lights only work sometimes, but passed inspection? Windshield replaced, but dents on my hood. Spoke to Manager 'Doug' about dents and missing hood emblem, and he 'danced' around citing rock damage.They were not round pits but 'lines'. He was unable to find proof on videos that emblem was either on or off but would not replace it. 'Free' wash and vacuum a joke. Maybe they blew on the seats and floors but ran out of air. Exterior wash - did they just throw water on and walk away? Found 1-1/2" utility blade on passenger front floor mat and screws on driver's floor mat. Would not recommend this dealership.

Brand new GMC TERRAIN STL AWD

My husband and I purchased our 6th vehicle through Jack Gofers, at Preston Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac Ltd., 2 weeks ago. We traded in our 2014 Chevrolet Equinox and know that we got an excellent trade-in value for it, as well as an excellent price for the new Terrain. Jack made the sale so effortless for us and the whole experience was a pleasure. Jack deleted the garage door code and disconnected our cell phone in the Equinox as well as got our Bluetooth connected in the Terrain. He showed us how the new features like "collision avoidance, lane departure, and blind spot warning" worked. The paperwork was done by Cathy while Heather arranged the insurance transfer, so it didn't take long to complete the purchase Mud guards and wind & rain guards were professionally installed in a timely manner. My parents also purchased their vehicles through Preston when they first opened in the early 60's and we, as a family, have always been completely satisfied.

Jack Gofers sold my wife and I our first car about 9 years ago. We remembered that positive experience recently when we decided to buy another car. Jack took care of us again, making the experience comfortable and hassle free. Cathy and Heather in Finance were fantastic and gave us plenty of options to consider. Service and Parts departments are great. Sales is poor

I had a very positive experience with both the Service and Parts departments. I believe the Sales department led me astray during my purchase experience. I was looking for a 2015 Cadillac ATS. when I visited the showroom on the 8th April I was told there were none available (although my local Paper was advertising one at an attractive price). I was pointed towards a Demo, which maybe or not was a good price, which I subsequently purchased. The oil needed changing and the tires were low but this was taken care of quickly. During the negotiations in which wanted to trade my 2005 Lincoln with 68K on it I was told it was virtually worthless ($2500) in spite of it being to my mind immaculate. I kept it and later sold it for twice the above valuation. When my customer went to register it I had to go to the agent to explain why the price was so low. It appears that ICBCs min selling price was above $7000. Your sales people could at least have told me that they didn't really want it and that I could probably get substantially more in the used car market. Sine then you have run an ad in my local paper at least twice and as late as 29 April advertising an ATS at a very low price.
