Bait & Switch

Went in once and discussed a truck with the salesman. Then had multiple conversations and emails regarding the truck and price. Finally agreed to price over email only to get in there and be told the same truck that we discussed was going to cost me $4,500 more. It wasn’t a case of the truck being sold, it was the same stock number. I showed the sales manager the email that stated the price I was told by their salesman and I was told it was a miscommunication on their part. An honorable dealership would still honor the price, NOT PRIME. I wouldn’t even waste your time inquiring on a price because they will say whatever you want to hear and then not give it to you.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Aggressive sales, low offers

I looked at a 2017 Acadia at this dealership and could see it was a very nice vehicle, working with Kevin Sargent and Adam Jones. I was somewhat put off early in the process because they made it a point to talk-down the vehicle I was trading, indicating all the flaws they saw that would hurt the value... but I figured that was business They made an offer on it I thought was low. They insisted it was an "aggressive" offer as they presented their numbers on a deal. It was late and there was clearly a gap in what we were looking for so we put it off for another day. In the two days that followed they called and texted me repeatedly, saying they could maybe meet me halfway on the gap I saw in our numbers. Finally, after 48 hours, they sent a more threatening text that the clock was ticking on the trade offer they made and my vehicle was losing value every day I continued to drive it. I did not like that at all and moved on. I am glad I did. The next dealership I visited offered me $5,500 more on my trade and I got the deal I was looking for on a larger, nicer vehicle in the 2018 model year. It was such a more cooperative, understanding, and fair process than what I found at Prime GMC.

Can leasing really be a satisfying experience?

At Prime it is. I had been to a couple of GMC dealers and they were all the same. All they cared about was selling me a car, any car. All I could think was that I was a victim of a "Glen Gary, Glen Ross" type of conspiracy. It was terrible and frightening. But I was sure I wanted a Terrain, so I looked arounf and found Dealer Rater that gave Prime GMC a lot of excellent reviews. I was happy to find that Prime GMC is affiliated with Prime Inifiniti. I had bought a used car from Prime Inifiniti and it was surprisingly good, so I went to Prime GMC with intentions of leasing a Terrain. At the dealership I was able to walk around without getting harassed by any hovering buzzards. I was even in the showroom for ten minutes just getting comfortable in the backseat of a Terrain, when Mark Beecher introduced himself with casual conversation. He was not practicing the ABCs according to Alec Baldwin. Oh no, Mark Beecher's only concern was my happiness. He, and Prime, finally figured out that happy people will buy cars without having to go through turmoil and fear. He never even said that we better act fast because these deals won't last. I couldn't stay long and when I left Mark never asked for my phone number. Another salesman at another dealership figured out my phone number from my driver's license, which he used to relentlessly bombard me with inflated ( and maybe fictional) incentives to buy from him. Mark is nothing but an honorable gentleman dedicated to making friends and building trust. He made sure that I got the exact car I needed and wanted at a fair price. A price that I'm sure could be beat, but I'm happy with my deal. He sent me over to see Ravi McDonnell to help with the finance, who is also a gem of a guy. We are a two-car family. We plan to lease another car in 18 months, and I'll trade this one in 18 months after that. We expect to get the next car, and the ones after that, form Mark Beecher at Prime GMC, with Ravi McDonnell handling to numbers.

what a nightmare

Went to the dealership to buy a 2016 Acadia give them $15,000 down come to find out the Acadia they sold me had a recall on it so I couldn't take it off the lot a week later still don't have my car something's wrong with this picture has going on two weeks they still don't know what's going on it's time to ask for my money back

I had such a wonderful experience at Prime Buick. As a first time car buyer, I was nervous about the typical car salesman, potentially pressuring me into something I didn't want to do. That wasn't the case at all! Everyone at Prime was so nice to me. My car salesman, Dave, helped me to find the right car! I could not be happier!

what a nightmare

My car is currently on recall so I called Prime Buick GMC to make an appointment to have the necessary work done. The person I spoke with explained that the parts needed to be ordered specifically for my individual vehicle, so the appointment would need to scheduled a few weeks out to ensure time for the parts to arrive. She took down my VIN and we scheduled the appointment. I arrived for my appointment this morning and was told they didn't have parts for my individual vehicle, but they would check to see whether any parts they had ordered for other customer's vehicles would work for mine. I waited upwards of 45 minutes while they looked into whether the parts they already had would work and was ultimately told they wouldn't. Parts for my car would need to be ordered. I asked why the parts weren't ordered when I originally called for the appointment. The man who was dealing with me tried to make it seem like it was standard procedure to have the customer bring the car into the dealership first, so that the mechanics could ensure the rest of the car was in good working condition prior to ordering parts to address the recall. He said GMC wasn't going to put the money in to address the recall if other things were wrong with that car. Have you ever heard anything so ridiculous in your life? I asked why no one told me that when I first called to schedule the appointment. I asked why, if that was the case, was I not asked to bring my car in weeks ago to be checked so that my car could be fixed today as promised. I asked why, in fact, I was specifically told that they would be ordering parts in order to fix my car when I brought it in for the appointment. He didn't have answers for me, but he did stick to his guns that they had done absolutely nothing wrong. I'm a pretty understanding and laid back person. If he had simply taken ownership and acknowledged that they goofed, it would have been fine. It's because he tried to b/s me with his asinine story about making sure the rest of my car worked before they ordered the parts that I'm livid. I'm pretty understanding and laid back, but I'm also not an idiot. And for the record, in case you're reading this, Prime Buick GMC in Hanover, while I was on the phone with General Motors opening my complaint against you, I asked whether it's standard practice to have the customer bring their car in to make sure it works before ordering the parts and guess what? It's not.

Amazing service...

Walked into to Prime dealership after having a very bad experience at MGee Toyota. Met David Tibets.. asked him about a specific Silverado that i was looking for. He went above and beyond. He asked me about my wish list for the car & got more than i asked for almost $5000 off. The GM of Prime Buick/GMC was amazing. Didn't have to haggle for price or anything. The truck was delivered on time. over all an amazing experience. The sales man David Tibets even called me the next day to make sure i was completely satisfied with the truck and if i any questions. Will definitely recommend this dealership to everyone

WOW! Thank you Rich! What a great experience shopping and Buying at Prime Buick was. Rich Misener went far above and beyond his "job description" to get my family the car we wanted and needed, a Mazda6 wagon (not easy to find). Tony worked side by side with Rich Misener and helped us get great financing too! They definitely took the dread out of car shopping. 2014 Buick Verano

The whole process was painless! Being a woman buying a car can be daunting, especially when asked, what does your husband think or is your husband coming in to look at it? My husband wouldn’t care if I came home in a golf cart as long as I was happy and it fit the budget. This did not happen at any point in my experience at Prime. I was lucky enough to have Kyle as a salesperson who clearly loves cars (as do I) and knew the Verano in and out. He was well versed in the car and could answer all of my questions, and I am tough. I tested him with specific questions about the engine to the trunk and he passed with flying colors. We also discussed the other cars that I had shopped elsewhere and we compared features, which was helpful in my decision process. Kyle had my new car in the showroom ready for me when I arrived to picker her up. He was also amazing at going over all the features and making sure I understood how they worked. He helped me get my phone in synch with the computer and had me ready to go in no time but I didn’t feel rushed. The dealership itself is beautiful and every single person I encountered was friendly and accommodating. Shout out to Tony Torpes, my finance guy. He was excellent with explaining everything in that area as well as answering my questions and making sure I was comfortable with the deal. I definitely recommend checking out this dealership! I look forward to a long relationship with Prime Buick.

I originally had my 2008 GMC Sierra in for routine service and was contacted by Kyle Alexander about any interest in trading in my current vehicle for something newer, less miles and if the deal was right would I be interested. Of course I was, and due to limited used truck availability for what I was looking for, we started looking at new vehicle options. In the mean time, Neal Simmons also helped me on a call when Kyle was unavailable, and he was clear that he was there as a team player to help me. Kyle put together a comprehensive package of options for purchase and/or lease. The purchase offer was more attractive as Kyle did a great jog in identifying the best GM offers and some additional flexibility on the trade in to make the deal work for everyone. With a bit of a down payment, I went from 2008 with 84K miles to a 2014 with 172 and a very manageable payment. The vehicle has every bell and whistle and Kyle made the deal happen. He took the time to sit down with me for over an hour to find out what I really wanted and what was important to me for any potential purchase. I would defintiely recommend Prime and Kyle

I really enjoyed working with Mike. He was "real" from the start. I appreciated that he took me away from the dealership to check out the cars, that he took the time to test drive multiple vehicles with me without ever making me feel like it was taking too much time. Mike was new at the dealership and his style seemed a little more honest than refined. It was easy to talk with him - and also to get down to business crunching numbers. I feel like he understood what I was looking for and helped guide me in the right direction. If I was working with someone else a little too salesman-ish - I know I would have left quickly! I am very happy with my decision - and have not purchased a used car before. Mike made sure I left with nice mats, an extra fob (electronic key) and all in quick turn around time to "catch the boat". He also arranged for the window scratch to be fixed at another time. Overall, my experience was great with Mike. I even had a fever the night we were haggling over price and trade in with the managers and survived it! Mike took the extra time needed to develop a relationship that seemed much nicer than what I would expect from a car salesman (no offense!) And because of that, I felt I could trust him, which ultimately led to my purchase.

My wife and I met Mike Bergeron at Prime Buick. Mike was friendly, down-to-earth, and listened to our needs. He showed us a Goodwrench certified 2011 Enclave and we were sold on the spot. This was a great replacement for our 2005 Rendezvous; it had more power, a better ride, and a beautiful cranberry red color. Mike took us through all the features of the car including making a phone call with bluetooth. Mike introduced us to the finance staff and followed up to make sure we got the start up services we needed. He kept in touch by phone to answer any questions and told us we could call anytime. Mike is an excellent salesman who knows how to make people feel comfortable. He had good working relationships with all of the staff who helped us in buying and servicing our car. Ravi was my point of contact and went above and beyond my expectations. Being courteous and polite comes with the job, but Ravi took professionalism to a new dimension. He met me to inspect the car and also deliver it in an off hour on his own time without any expectations. I cannot think of any negative recommendation for either him as a salesman or the manner in which Prime Motor Group handled this transaction. Ravi was awesome I went in to see about my options if buying a truck. I bought a truck that I thought I would never have purchased, Ravi and Bridget were great on helping me finance the truck. I can't wait to go back and purchase a vehicle for my wife. Prime was hassle free and did not play any games with me. Prime made purchasing a vehicle fun not a headache.
