These guys provide great service. They are accommodating, fast and efficient. Service advisors are all customer oriented. Mechanics know what they are doing. I have been going there for service since I purchased my 2010 Ridgeline and will continue to do so as long as I have it.

We are very happy with the service we received from Tim Carson, the sales representative who helped us with our Honda Pilot. The experience overall was pleasant, and we are enjoying the Pilot. Randy Kuehl has always been a reliable source for our Honda van and now we are sure they will be there to help us with the Pilot. Bryce Blomberg was very helpful and explained the details of the loan. He got us in and out in a timely manner. They are all very kind and we appreciated that.

I had an appointment at 1:00 pm, they were ready when I arrived. They provided a ride service to get me back home until my car was done. the gentlemen driving Dedrick, was kind, friendly and I felt I could trust him. My car was done on time as scheduled and the service provider was informative and and courteous

THE EASE OF BUYING A CAR

This month, I finally accepted that we would have to buy a new car, As an auto insurance agent, I know that this is potentially a very stressful experience. Thankfully, Steven Lord and the whole team at Randy Kuehl Honda made the process so easy. When we went to try out vehicles, there were no hard sells or high pressure techniques to make us sign on the dotted line. Rather, Steven and his colleagues went out of their way to let us try many vehicles. We settled on a 2018 Honda Civic. The team at Randy Kuehl worked diligently to find us financing that would fit our requirements. Thanks to Randy Kuehl Honda we now have a car that I am confident will provide many years of safe and reliable use.

Professional and Service-Oriented

I had heard good things for quite a number of years and always had it in the back of my mind to go to Randy Kuehl Honda. We worked with Steve Lord and bought a new Civic Hatchback that is perfect for us! Since we weren't sure what we wanted or what the choices were, we asked him to show us a whole range of cars. We did a number of test drives and Steve was very knowledgeable about the features and answered our all our questions. We had already decided we would sleep on what we had seen and Steve was fine with that. He gave us the time and space to analyze and discuss our decision. Buying a car, especially a new one, is a huge decision, not to be rushed through. Given time to think, we decided to go with the prepaid maintenance and will be coming for all our service here. Steve's listening, support and guidance was exactly what we needed. I can honestly say I felt no stress through the entire process. Our new vehicle has made a huge, positive impact on our lives. We have an attractive, comfortable and dependable car. Thanks Randy Kuehl Honda!

Excellent Knowledge / No Pressure Sales

Randy Kuehl Honda in Cedar Rapids, Iowa is doing the car business RIGHT!. No pressure sales, ehthusiastic and knowledgable staff. We worked with three different sales staff, ALL were excellent; Chanin Dirks, Ron Lowenberg, and Matthew Smith. Sales Manager Dan Quinby and the finance department made the process of buying our 2017 Honda CRV-EL smooth and ENJOYABLE! When is the last time you felt that way about buying a car?!? We drove other Honda models as well, and the sales staff were quick to point out pros and cons of each model, without attempting to sell the more expensive model to us. I am recommending Randy Kuehl Honda to everyone I know when they are in the market for an automobile. High pressure sales and getting ripped off are NOT their mode of operation. Worst Car Dealership Ever!

Funny how this run-down out-of-date dealership has well over 1,000 reviews here with high ratings when all of the other big Honda dealers in the region have in the 10's or at most a couple of hundred. Perhaps someone spends their sales time writing fake reviews... Keep that in mind as you read the reviews on this place. We recently visited this dealership on a Saturday afternoon to look at top-of-the-line CR-Vs. My first impression on the place was that it is run-down, out-dated, and poorly maintained. The lot is very small and it is obvious they put very little or no effort into fixing the place up. When we arrived I informed the salesman that we intended to purchase a new CR-V within a week or two and were interested in 3 specific vehicles he had on the lot. As we looked the vehicles over I told the salesman that within the week I would be asking him as well as the other dealers in the area to submit their best offers on the vehicles they had in inventory that were of interest to me. As we prepared for the test drive the first thing that struck me was that he forced my girlfriend (who had never drove or rode in a CR-V before) to sit in the back. Okay...I thought maybe he wanted to explain some of the features of the vehicle or something as we drove. As we prepared to start the test drive I asked the salesman to describe what was different on this particular vehicle from the other two he had that I had expressed an interest in. At that point he informed me that he was not going to "waste his customer service" (HIS WORDS!) on me since I was only going to buy based on price. WHAT!!!??? I sat there dumbfounded! Okay...so I thought maybe we misunderstood each other. I reiterated that I would be asking him to make me an offer on these three vehicles he had in inventory and that if he were able to offer the best deal on the best vehicle (which means price, features, accessories, etc) I would buy from him. He then proceeded to tell us how we were "disrespectful" of him and did not care about customer service. At this point I was extremely "hot under the collar" and was basically chewing his a** as we walked back to the showroom past 3 or 4 other customers on the lot. Again...what kind of salesman does not attempt to defuse that situation to avoid embarrassment of the dealership in front of the other customers. NOPE..rather he just continued his lecture on lack of respect for himself...and quite frankly at that point I was being quite disrespectful of him. He finally told us to "get out of there" and turned his back and walked away. UNBELIEVABLE! I will absolutely be addressing this with someone from Honda and my opinion of Honda will hinge on how they react. For now this one terrible dealership has cost them a significant new vehicle sale. We drove directly to a competitors lot after this and after an extremely pleasant and informative visit and test drive we related the previous story to their general manager. He told us that while he was surprised at just how bad the behavior was he wasn't surprised that it was at Randy Kuehl Honda. Randy Kuehl Honda is apparently a joke and an embarrassment in the Cedar Rapids car dealer community. Look not further than the fact that Honda has another huge dealership barely 20 miles away in Iowa City, obviously trying to serve the market in the area when Randy Kuehl Honda can't.

Great service

Took my car for scheduled maintenance. I was able to quickly schedule an appointment. They have a trustworthy service department. Wish they had more coupons available on-line, but other than that I would highly recommend.

Great Buying Experience

I was leery of the "typical," high-pressure car-buying experience. Tim Carson was our sales consultant, and he did a great job. He was personable, considerate, and knowledgeable. He explained features to us, genuinely wanted to make sure our questions were answered, talked to us about options but was not at all pushy or high-pressure, and respected what we wanted. We had a very positive experience and would highly recommend Tim and Randy Kuehl Honda.

Another Great Experience

Recently purchased our 6th vehicle in 3 years from Chanin Dirks and as always it was a great experience. I for one enjoy car shopping and Chanin has a passion for finding the right vehicle that you are looking for!!! If you don't enjoy car shopping I would tell you that Chanin still has a passion for finding the right vehicle for you. He takes the time to ask questions if your not sure and understands when you have made up your mind and goes to work to find the vehicle. The 6 vehicles that we have purchased have ranged from very used to slightly used to our latest purchase a 2017 Honda CRV. Chanin's knowledge on these vehicles and comparable models made it easy. I have shared each time what we have looked at and he knows the pluses and minuses of each vehicle regardless of manufacturer. It's going to be awhile before we purchase another vehicle but when we do I'm calling Chanin and Randy Kuehl Honda.

Top Quality Service

Due to a very challenging year with multiple deaths in our family I had overlooked service on my 2006 Accord. I took it in for oil change and 150,000 mile service, replace headlight covers due to fogginess, and look into drivers side rear window issues, four wheel alignment, and four new tires. As always the service department alerted me to specials and applied coupons to my repairs that were available. They caught a looming big repair. Yes my bill was large but my car is like new. The new head light covers give me outstanding vision and visibility at night. The rear window works wonderful, my dog loves that it opens again. I can not thank you enough for your honest, quality service. Your outstanding care means the world to me. Truly it is the service department's care of this Accord that brought me back to buy another Accord. Keep up the stellar service.

Great service experience.

I took my 2015 CRV back to Randy Kuehl Honda so they could buff out some scratches on the side panel that were noted when we purchased the car. Even though I couldn't bring it in to have it done in the required 30 days, they were kind and did it anyway. They gave me a loaner car to run some errands while they had my car in the shop. Everyone I worked with was efficient and pleasant and kept me informed on what to expect. A great experience!

Wonderful Experience

Everyone I dealt with was courteous and helpful. Chanin went over every feature of the HRV. He is the first salesman that ever went over everything with me and I'm no spring chicken. He answered all my questions and concerns including accessing the fluid reservoirs under the hood. FYI… They were all within easy reach for a person who is only 5’2” on a good day. I am not proficient with my smart phone. My daughter just updated my flip phone to a smart phone a couple of months ago, because she said I had to have one. Chanin setup my Bluetooth connection before I left the dealership so I would be able to use the phone’s map feature to find my way to my daughter’s place. She lives in town and well, I don’t. I would definitely go back to Randy Kuehl Honda.

Efficient and Understanding

Chanin Dirks took time to thoroughly understand the immediate purchase as well as future purchases before making recommendations. He remained focused and offered several vehicle and financing options. Bryce Blomberg was prepared and went over the financing in a very timely fashion, covering all needed information. Paul Thulin quickly coordinated after market installation and ensured our day was uninterrupted by offering several transportation options to ensure I got to work on time. Great collaboration by all departments.

Tim Carson is arrogant and terrible to work with. The folks in Service/parts is not only are arrogant, but lie, withhold information, and belittle. All this while the parts manager sits in his chair with a smirk, refusing to say a word. Over all, terrible experience. Wow.

Good start - tough surprise - great finish

We researched mid sized SUVs . Came down to eizther Honda CR-Vs or Mazda CX-5s. Honda won us over due to details important to us (Used Edmunds to get comparisons) Found a "used" 2017 with only 10 miles & certified used car warranty at Randy Kuehl Honda. Drove it - liked it - wanted it - but while our trade-in was being appraised (this included an overnight trip home to get it) a different sales person sold "our" car to someone else.. Steve Lord, our salesman was super. He quietly let me vent my frustration and got the manager to work with us. I eventually agreed to let him show me a new 2017 Touring. We got together on the price. Bryce the finance man was also good to work with.
