Regina Mazda appears like a sleepy little dealership...

By Saskadon on 12/12/2012 at 4:49 AM. Helped by Dan Moore (I think - he's no longer there).

Regina Mazda appears like a sleepy little dealership situated amongst some of Regina's larger and busier dealerships on Broad Street. We purchased a 2007 Mazda6 in April 2012 and have been happy with the car. The price was a fair market value, but not any great deal. Considering it was a good quality used car with low mileage, it was decent value. We had one minor warranty repair to have done, and it was completed with no problem. Their hours are limited compared to some other larger dealerships, but they say that is so that their staff has "family time" and I can support that. It did make it more difficult to schedule appointments though. Regina Mazda has quite a few new and used cars squeezed into a relatively small sales lot, with a shortage of parking. The building is clean and well maintained, but also smaller than many other new car dealers. The staff are friendly and well informed but there seems to be turnover as some of the staff we originally dealt with are no longer there. At the time of our last service appointment there had been a heavy snowfall a few days earlier. I noticed that the other dealerships along Broad had cleaned off their cars and had their lots ploughed, but most of the cars at Regina Mazda were still buried under the snow. It does appear that the dealership has some communications issues in that they have been slow to reply to phone calls or emails a couple times, or even never did respond. It also seemed that information given to one staff member is not always passed on to others. For example, when we made the purchase we initially took the car for a test drive, but then negotiated the deal via phone calls and email. We thought we had made an appointment to pick up the car a few days later, but when we arrived the staff were not prepared for us. They quickly accommodated us and it didn't take too long before we were on our way.

I would recommend this dealer.
