Fun with Ernie!

By AverageMoe on 5/1/2017 at 5:54 PM. Helped by Ernie Ware.

Ernie Ware spent the day with my family taking us through the models of minivans we were interested in. I'd already done my research online, but Ernie picked up on some things I couldn't find from reviews and dealer websites. We didn't feel any pressure, and genuinely had a good time with Ernie - he's a fun guy! We made the purchase at our pace, and Ernie got his sales manager to meet the price I'd brought in from online. All in all, very smooth - I'd highly recommend dealing with Ernie!

I would recommend this dealer.

Overpriced service

By Linden16 on 4/16/2017 at 4:54 PM. Helped by Service agent.

Warning do not have your vehicle serviced here....unless you don't mind paying for hidden cost. Was quoted $86 for a synthetic oil change and was charged $134. They played dumb with no discount offered. They told me they did a wheel alignment which is "free" apparently....then why do other places charge roughly $30 for that service hmmmmm. I have a Honda CR-V which takes synthetic as well and am charged around $80 for just the oil change and $130 w/ tire alignment.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Very good experience

By Jeremy on 4/13/2017 at 12:09 AM. Helped by Ernie Ware.

My wife and I had a very good experience looking for and buying a vehicle from Rivershore. Salesman Ernie Ware was very helpful in showing us what they had available and we test drove 4 different trucks. Went home that evening and researched prices and found they were about $2000 less than other dealers advertised prices. Texted Ernie that evening and he went in on his day off to make the deal. Service department did an excellent job detailing the truck. Only issue we had was setting the payment schedule which I think was an oversight by both parties. I would recommend this dealership.

Avoid service here at all costs!

By WesternAlliance on 4/7/2017 at 7:20 PM. Helped by Ian MCintyre.

basically tried to charge double the going rate to replace a brake caliper that was faulty on one of our jeeps that was less than 50k out of warranty. Refused to extend any discount or consider what the other quotes on the work were. We had the jeep towed out of their shop and had the work done at another local dealership for half the amount Rivershore tried to charge. Now here's the best part... They invoiced us for $50 for time and trouble having our jeep sit at their dealership before I had it towed out. They did nothing. I received harassing phone calls and emails on the unpaid invoice. were not going to pay a hostage fee. End result is this dealership is so crooked they put a lien on the vehicle for $50! I will be taking them to small claims when I get a chance as its plainly the service manager trying to make a point without considering legality. Their wake up call is coming. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

I would not recommend this dealer.

Great Sales Rep not so Great Sales Manager

By 2017 Ram on 1/26/2017 at 7:52 PM. Helped by Art.

Purchased a New Ram pick up from Rivershore and the sales rep Art we worked with was excellent he was easy to deal with and very friendly. Things were going well until Tom one of the sales Managers came over and "tried to seal the deal" by really pushing us to make a deal without any time to consider the deal presented to us. If it was not for Art we would have taken our business to another dealer simply due to Tom's arrogant nature and being way to pushy. Tom may sell trucks and cars every day so for him it is just another day at the office but it is not every day we purchase a brand new truck.

I would recommend this dealer.

Service Transmission on Jeep Cherokee

By Service transmission on 8/22/2016 at 4:52 PM. Helped by Service counter.

I phoned to inquire about the service transmission light and get service. The individual stated that they could not look at it today. Asked whether I could drive the vehicle 'I cannot answer that'. Overall reception to my problem was poor and inadequate. Went to Kamloops Dodge/Ram/Jeep next door - far more interested in customer satisfaction and 'SERVICE"". Will not waste my time again with Rivershore Service...

I would not recommend this dealer.

Purchased Vehicles

By Dave Crack on 7/14/2016 at 2:19 PM. Helped by Art Marcyniuk, Cody.

I was in looking for a used Ram 3500 turbo diesel and let Art Marcyniuk know what features I wanted in the vehicle. He contacted me when a trade came in and it was exactly what I wanted. The asking price for the truck was very reasonable and I was given a good vaue for my trade-in. When I picked the truck up the fuel tank and DEF tanks were full and an oil change had been done. I just finished a 3500 km trip and averaged 11.1 l/100 kms (25.5 mpg). This is the third vehicle i have bought through Rivershore and i have found Art and Cody excellent to deal with.

I would recommend this dealer.

Have been getting serviced there for years, no more...

By Hate Chrysler now on 12/15/2015 at 6:16 AM. Helped by Cole.

just got my jeep serviced there, they said the ball joints are worn and need replacing for over $1000, this is a 2011 jeep with only 43000 Kim's mind you. Asked for an explanation and they only shrugged their shoulders and said whatever. I also have a 2007 Sebring, about 1.5 years ago they said all 4 rotors and brake pads needed replacing, for well over $1000. I did it thinking problem solved. The back brakes and rotors would heat up, with uneven wear, I got them to look at it several times and paid for with the so called 'peace of mind' service and they kept saying they were ok. Now they say oh no, the calipers, brake pads and rotors need replacing again, but since it's been over a year there is no warranty, so sorry. I've decided to avoid this place like the plague, even after being a patron for many years. I've decided to avoid Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep products entirely after my experience here, my next vehicles will not be any of these!

I would not recommend this dealer.

restored my faith

By don't mess with grandma on 8/11/2015 at 3:17 AM. Helped by scott.

After refusing to sign the papers on a deal gone horribly wrong at Kamloops Chrysler dodge my husband insisted on stopping at Rivershore where he had bought his one ton 4 years earlier . We explained to the salesman Scott what happened at Kamloops Chrysler Dodge and how disappointed I was in not bringing home a truck that night . I was to say the least gun shy after the experience at Kamloops Chrysler Dodge. Scott however restored my faith and got me my new pickup hassle free , no false promises just an honest deal !!! I would absolutly recommend Rivershore Ram.

I would recommend this dealer.

scam artists.

By guyyoutryedtoscrew on 11/7/2014 at 2:19 AM. Helped by Dan laporte.

This dealership is a complete joke. Their slime xxxxx. They have no problems with screwing people over. As long as they get their money. I recently retuned a lease vehicle because I was unable to continue making the payments. After I dropped the vehicle off and left. I got a call from the manager threating to screw my credit, garnish my wages and take me to court if I didn't cut him a check for 10-13,000$. I don't suggest anyone shops at rivershore, I hope they go bankrupt. These people are criminals.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Incompetence in the Service Department

By capnart on 5/8/2014 at 10:02 PM. Helped by Don Hays, Ian McIntyre, Lyle Russett.

. Our purchase experience was pleasant. Don was very personable, explaining the many features of the vehicle, and giving us enough time to road test the vehicle in our locale, Sun Peaks. We were quite satisfied with our purchase, and felt we had made a good decision dealing with Rivershore Ram. That has now changed. Since early to mid-winter, we have had an ongoing issue with the engine light coming on. When it happened the first time, of course we were concerned and wanted to get it dealt with as soon as possible. We made an appointment with the service department, and brought the truck in. From that day forward, it's been nothing but a headache, a hassle, and, given that we live at Sun Peaks, a considerable expense. We have had the truck in no less than six (6) times trying to get this dealt with, the most recent being yesterday. We made yesterday's appointment 3 1/2 weeks ago, having been assured that the problem would be solved with the replacement of a solenoid switch in the emission system. When we made the appointment, we told the Service Department that we would also be having our winter tires dismounted, and the summers mounted and balanced, as well as the regular service that would be due by that time. When I arrived, I was told that, in fact, it was questionable whether all of the work would be completed in one day. Not a good start. 6 1/2 hours later I left the lot with our truck. In fairness, I was provided with a courtesy vehicle while the truck was being worked on, but, not having a lot to do with my time after lunch, I was able to watch the productivity level around my truck. It wasn't impressive, but, that's not the point. The point is that we feel very short-changed by the Customer Service we've received thus far. As if I needed further convincing, as I drove home from my dental appointment today, the Engine light came on again! I don't think I've encountered such incompetence in the Service Department of a dealership where I've purchased a vehicle in 40 years of vehicle ownership. In this age of computer diagnostics, I find it hard to accept that your techs can't accurately diagnose and repair this issue. I had already decided to have all of our maintenance requirements handled by another outlet, after yesterday's experience, but, given the failure to repair, I suspect I shall certainly be having dealings with your dealership in the days to come. I am only beginning to explore my options. I do know one thing for certain: At this point in time, I would never purchase another vehicle from Rivershore Ram, and I would actively discourage anyone I encounter from having any dealings with Rivershore Ram. Mary-Lou and I have been nothing but accommodating and understanding. Not once was there an acknowledgment of the hassle and expense we've been enduring, never once was there an offer to top up our tank, given the failures to successfully diagnose and repair, never once did someone offer us a reasonable explanation, other than "It needs to be flashed." What the hell does that even mean? When the solenoid epiphany occurred, I actually thought it had been solved. How wrong I was.

I would not recommend this dealer.
