Great Leasing Experience

I chose Rodenroth because it is the only GM Dealership in the greater Sault Ste. Marie area, and I have family who have worked for GM. I had gotten all I could out of my current car without funneling even more money into it. I needed to replace it and I had decided to lease a new vehicle. This is my first time leasing, and I had a great experience working with Sam Bailey at Rodenroth. He is extremely helpful, informative, and patient. I highly recommend working with him if you are looking to buy or lease a vehicle. Paul Phelps was also great to work with when it came to signing all the paperwork. Thank you for such a great first experience! Note: I have not yet worked directly with the service department at this dealership, which, I can see, is where a lot of the frustrations seem to come from. So, I am unable to comment on their service at this point.

I would recommend this dealer.

Crap service, no customer loyalty

Bought a brand new truck from rodenroth, have had nothing but trouble with the truck and them. They voided my warranty and left me woh thousands of dollars in repair fees

I would not recommend this dealer.

Tired Old Dealer Tricks

We were on vacation and having trouble with my truck (Chevy) so I drove it directly to Rodenroth because I was not familiar with anyone else in town. Understanding the fact I was on vacation in a town I was not familiar with, I knew I would get charged more than I should but did not have many options, continuing to drive the truck would result in catastrophic failures. When they called me to tell me what was broke, they also told me my front brakes (pads and rotors) were "shot" and in serious need of replacement, they would be happy to take care of that at the same time for a highly inflated fee. I declined the brake work and paid the high dollar to get the truck back on the road. When I get home I wasted little time getting my truck to my local mechanic, going so far as to have him order the parts so there was no time wasted. He took the front tires off and showed me the pads had 75% life left and the rotors had average wear. No work needed. Nice job Rodenroth on continuing to be the reason that dealerships have a bad name.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Disappointing does not even cover it!

Shoddy work, and you are treated as inconvenience when you come back due to it! They treat you as if it is YOUR fault! I purchase a vehicle from them (which was a great experience), but then their service department soured me from every dealing with them again. I had to contact GM directly when they failed to fix my car the three times I brought it in for the same thing (and I had brought it in for many other things before this). They always kept my car over night for days or a week or better, or made me wait for hours and hours when I could not find a ride to leave it (as this is what they prefer customers to do--leave it--and there is no offer of a loaner car or anything). It was not until the 4th time they saw it with GM representative breathing down their neck to fix it right that they actually attempted. Then they failed to contact said representative until they did something and they did nothing until the 6th day they had it and told me it was fixed--which they had told me every other time before when it was in. Forgive my skepticism, but I feel as though there is something really shady going on here. And, I had paid numerous times for diagnostics and brought them pictures throughout all of this!!! They still to this day have not offered anything for my troubles or inconvenience. Like I said, they never even offered a "loaner"! Highly would NOT recommend to have your car serviced here.
