Genuine Salespeople to help in every way possible!

By J123 on 8/10/2018 at 1:03 AM. Helped by Jannett Gonzalez.

Jannett at Rusty Wallace VW is truly a great salesperson. She helped us for 6 months to find the perfect car. We live 90 miles from their dealership. Jannett was always accessible and willing to give honest advice. We ended up finding a car closer to us, but Jannett was supportive throughput the whole process and was genuinely happen that we found what is best for us! We will definitely come back to Jannett! She is honest, hard working, accessible and very knowledgeable!

I would recommend this dealer.

Dishonest sales

By Smh on 8/6/2018 at 6:37 PM.

Sold the car they had called me to come get that very day while I was in route. How’s that for customer service? It was a certified preowned Jetta with hail damage that they had agreed to fix. Daiver, the salesman, called that afternoon to tell me the car was ready. We live two hours from the dealership. I was an hour from home when I was notified that a coworker was in the process of selling the car and I would be notified if the sale didn’t go through. What??? They were selling the car that I was coming to pick up!!! Jefff Wallis called me the next morning “trying” to explain that we had not paid a deposit. A deposit? A deposit was never mentioned for this car. If a deposit was the determining factor, wouldn’t you think it would have been discussed either while we were at the dealership or by phone the couple of times we talked? It was dishonest sales tactics by a dealership that I would rather not do business with EVER!

I would not recommend this dealer.

Awesome experience!

By jennperry0419 on 7/7/2018 at 11:46 PM. Helped by Jannet Gonzalez.

Single handedly the best car buying experience. Our sales representative, Jannet Gonzalez, was extremely attentive and made sure to disclose all the details of the sale right up front. This was so refreshing because usually there are so many hidden charges that you don't find out about until you get into financing. She really changed my opinion about the car buying process and we will definitely be repeat customers. Thank you so much to Jannet and the Rusty Wallis team for making our car dreams come true!

I would recommend this dealer.

Best car buying expirence

By Kredding on 7/5/2018 at 12:07 AM. Helped by Janet Gonzalez.

By far, this was the best car buying expirence I had and it was all because of Janet Gonzalez! She had the vehicle waiting on me when I arrived. After the test drive, I decided I was going to purchase the veichle. While working on the terms, she was receptive to my financial goals and helped get the deal done. Will buy from her again!

Misleading reviews and crappy management

By Jaywil on 5/31/2018 at 12:29 AM. Helped by Some disgruntled finance guy..

Everything from sales to service. It’s a joke. Save your self the hassle and go to a different VW. Finance, to service to after the sale Was lackluster. Think Walmart with Gucci prices.

Customer for Life!

By jeffm on 5/1/2018 at 2:00 PM. Helped by Jannet Gonzales.

I had just about given up on dealerships and almost purchased a car online, but then I found the perfect car at Rusty Wallis VW and inquired via email. I'm on the phone all day for work, so I needed to communicate via email and text. I worried this would be a problem, but it wasn't at all. Within a few minutes of my inquiry, Jannet Gonzales sent me a video walk thru of the car I was interested in. Not a stock video, a personalized video recorded minutes before just for me! Who provides that level of service? I went to the dealership the next afternoon and Jannet had the car and the paperwork ready to go. I drove it, loved it and signed the papers. The whole process took about an hour. So impressed. Everyone I met at the dealership was extremely kind and genuine...it was exactly the experience I was longing for, and I'll definitely be back.

I would recommend this dealer.

Awful Experience

By Dissatisfied Customer on 4/12/2018 at 7:19 PM. Helped by Brian, Aaron, Scott,.

RWVhad my car for 3 1/2 months, told me $7500 for repairs, (I am not sure really what happened with my car, as they lie so much their reasoning sounds like bs. Some kind of a coolant problem that VW had a couple of years ago) said they would work on lowering, they did to $4500. Finally after 3 1/2 months I called and ask if they had started, answer was no, I ask them if they were still interested in buying my car, still needing repaired, they answer yes. I ran all over town to get title had an appraisal in hand, Mr. Scott shook my hand, looked me in the eye and said he would honor the deal, came back next day and they decided they did not want to do deal. Ask again about repairing car, I am now being told $3200.00, it would be ready in 4 days, it took another week and a half. Brian's reason for not having it ready...He had other cars ahead of mine, really after 3 1/2 months. Told me car was ready they were cleaning it up, went to pick up car and the car was full of leaves under the hood, in trunk and inside of car and bird poo all over outside. Brian in service department is a liar. They did provide me a car to drive butythey said in hopes of me buying one of their vehicles, but since I did not they would not honor buying my car. I was never told that I had to buy a car from them in order for them to buy my car. Again Brian in Service Depart is a habitual liar. Buyer Beware.

Wow Wow Wow

By DarwynW2 on 3/10/2018 at 11:06 PM. Helped by Jannet Gonzalez.

This was by far my most pleasant experience with a car dealership in my life. Jannet had my vehicle prepped and waiting for me when I arrived. We test drove the vehicle, came to terms with my trade-in and got all the paperwork signed in less than two hours. The entire was very eager to work with me and see that I was happy. Well I am, and I recommend them to anyone looking for a 5 star experience.

Who said buying a car can’t be fun????

By Laura on 1/25/2018 at 4:15 AM. Helped by Dani Johnson.

Everything was done in 1 day through a few texts and emails and one phone call. Dani Johnson was awesome and very knowledgeable of the car and the whole process!!!!! She went above and beyond to make sure that I got all of the information that I needed about my car. I am so happy with my purchase and this was truly a fun experience. Everyone at the dealership was so kind and helpful. I came from MS to get my car and they gave me recommendations about where to eat and shop. Dani even entered the address of my hotel on the navigation in my car! They know how to serve their customers and are happy to do it!

I would recommend this dealer.

Sleezy- Keep Driving

By Cheated on 12/6/2017 at 4:47 AM. Helped by Morris.

Shady sales tactics. When I'm ready to walk away, they're skilled to keep me hooked. I feel like an idiot for dealing with these people. I'm newly divorced and doing this on my own, trying so hard to do the right thing. They had me there for 5 hours. I'm exhausted and sign a deal that was no deal at all. My gut tells me that was their strategy. % rate was changed and rebates were not included in the contract. I realize it's my responsibility to be careful what I sign, but I feel preyed on. I didn't get home until 9pm. I talked to Rusty Wallace VW at 9am the next morning to let them know I'll be in that night to return the car and get my trade in back, thinking I had 3 days to do so. As it turns out, that is a legal myth. Unless the seller agrees to take it back, the car is mine. When I get there Morris claims he wasn't told what my complaints were, that the deal was done and that's that. I want my car back! I saw him talk to Jeff Wallis, but Manager wasn't willing to come talk to me. Salesman Morris lied to me. Unprofessional Manager Jeff Wallis would not speak with me. And NO ONE asked me what the issue was or what they could do to make it better. This was my mistake. I hope you don't make the same. I will posting this on any social media available to me. Sharing this also with my LinkedIn connections, family and friends.

Shady dealership

By VW customer on 10/19/2017 at 10:00 AM. Helped by Morris.

This dealership is a sham. I will never purchase another vehicle from rusty Wallis VW. The process was anything but smoothe. Shady sales tactics. I've dealt with many dealers but this place is terrible. Don't get Morris as your sales rep. He's a complete idiot. Car sales and negotiating is not his thing and you can tell. They try to sucker you and when you are ready to walk away, they actually let you because they think they can find someone else they can try to pull a fast one on. These guys are down right nasty, shady sales people. They want to pretend they care about the customer but you are left with an experience that makes you feel anything but that. There are plenty of other dealers in this city. I'd go somewhere else for business. Anywhere but Rusty Wallis VW.

I would not recommend this dealer.

These Guys Are xxxx Bags

By rnaderpo on 9/8/2017 at 5:38 AM. Helped by Morris Tompkins.

IN SHORT, THESE GUYS ARE xxxx BAGS. They change numbers and forge paper work right when you are about to pickup your car hoping that you fall for their lies. I am a long time Volkswagen customer. Had VW in the past and the dealerships I used in the past were amazing but these guys are something else. I was stupid enough to fall for their trap just to get me into their dealership. I went to this place with my step dad to buy a Passat, he has 15 years experience in car sales. They lied from the get go. I contacted their internet online sales person (Morris Tompkins). He gave me an amazing price online and I made sure to ask him for EVERYTHING before I went in. Boy was I wrong. The moment I got in the show room, the lies started. First they stuck me with an additional $2500 that he conveniently failed to mention in the email. I was upset but I finally agreed to it. It took us half of Saturday to negotiate and finally we were in agreement. We signed the paper work. They told us the car will not be available for another three days. They took my trade in and gave me a loaner. I found out later that was something they shouldn't have done. On the day I was suppose to go pickup the car they text me and told me the car is not available and to come the next day. Next day I went in and they took me to the financing room. As soon as I looked at the numbers I knew something was wrong. They had raised everything and the numbers were NOTHING like we had agreed and singed on. The financing started to lie and claimed there was no agreement on number and that ONLY him could tell me what my payment would be. We called the salesman in the office and he acted all dumb and stupid. I told them I am not going to agree on these numbers. I told them we had already agreed on all the numbers. I also told them that I would have NEVER given them my trade in and waited for 4 days if the rates were what they were giving on the day of pickup. I was pissed. I walked out and asked for my car keys (the trade in). They tried to act like they are not interested and were going to let me go but then the xxxx baggery game started. They went in their manager (tower) room and I could tell they realized the deal that Morris had made was not going to make them money so they were trying to figure out how to scam me into paying more. They brought this guy from their management room that tried to change my mind at first, I told them there is no way I am going to pay 1 cents more than what I had agreed on 4 days ego. They claimed that I had given the paper work from my bank and that it had confused them which was pure BS since we didn't have ANY paper work with us when we walked in. Again I asked them to give me my keys so that I could leave with old car. They all went back to their room and started talking again. They kept me for another 30 minutes and kept asking them for my keys but they just ignored me. They came back again and this time they really pissed me off because they were border line telling me that this was ALL our fault and that we were lying. All this to get out of the crappy deal they had made that wasn't going to make them much money so now they were doing their best with bs, lies and cheating to get out of it their agreement. They even forged the paper work that we had singed on the day that we went in for the first time. What my step dad said was interesting. He said that they had put us with an inexperienced sales man who made a deal that wasn't making profits for the dealership. Once I went to pickup the car, they realized they are not going to make any money so they raised all the rates and then claimed there was no paper worked singed and that we are at fault. He couldn't believe the scam they pulled on us. He had never seen it in the places he had worked himself. Do yourself a favor, there are a lot of dealerships around, go somewhere else.

I can only give 5 stars?!?

By Nessy on 8/1/2017 at 5:12 PM. Helped by Matt Soler.

This will be the 4th car I have purchased in the past 5 yrs. This past visit with the help of Jeff Wallis and Matt Soler was easily the best experience I have had in the past 5 yrs. If you know what you want'/ or you are looking for something new Matt is your guy! He knows his stuff! I came in with a relatively vague idea of what I wanted and right away he had 4 cars for me to give a go. When I found the PERFECT car Jeff Wallis helped me through the numbers and made it a totally doable painless process. I refer all my patients to this dealership!

Sales Person

By finsfan on 7/21/2017 at 11:46 AM. Helped by Matt Soler.

I have purchased many. many cars over my lifetime, some deals easy, others difficult. But good sales people work hard to make their customers happy and still sell cars at a profit. I spoke with Matt Soler at Rusty Wallis VW and he was by far the WORST sales person I have ever dealt with. HE tried to low-ball my trade-in and when I showed him with hard copy proof what other dealerships where valuing my trade he simply said go there then. Never tried, never came back with any counter offer to negotitate and see if we could come to an agreement. Just simply said go to the other guy. Rusty Wallis should be embarrassed to have sales people like this working for them and I can assure you that me, my family and everyone else I know and talk to will know about Rusty Wallis VW and most definitely Matt Soler who is obviously just skating by at his job. I started here, but will be writing a letter to VW Corporate as well as word of mouth and every form of social media available to me. I also have over 3,000 LinkedIn connections that will know about Matt Soler and Rusty Wallis.

Trade in

By WAB on 6/30/2017 at 3:27 AM. Helped by Eric Collier.

I was referred to Eric Collier Sr. originally at the Honda lot, after not finding a solution. Eric spent an estimated 8 hours of his day to make sure I was pleased with my car purchase. We ended up going over to Rusty Wallis' Volkswagen and made a deal. I am very thankful for Eric's patience and persistence on not giving up. I will without a doubt be back to do business with Eric in the future and will refer friends and family! My experience with this business was outstanding! Eric was also willing to answer every single question I had regarding the purchase. Thank you again to everyone that helped!

By far the best car buying experience

By Mrs. Gomez on 1/19/2017 at 2:19 AM. Helped by Mario Penate.

I recently purchased a used 2012 VW Jetta. My salesman Mario Penate did a wonderful job of answering my questions and was super helpful on issues that came up from the beginning to end of the deal. I very much appreciate his honesty and for keeping his word with continuous support to make sure I got the best price. This vehicle buying experience was very positive and became easy and stress free. I would not hesitate to recommend Mario, and this place, to anyone I know. Thank you again Rusty Wallis of Garland!
