Over the last 6 years I purchased three Hondas. I always started locally with Schaumburg Honda but never reached the best deal. I always felt pressured into buying a color or trim package I did not want and purchased a honda nearby. Until I meet Eric Merlo and sales manager Kurt. They found the exact color/trim package and were very competitive to other dealers online price. I had a great car buying experience and look forward to purchasing additional vehicles with Bob Rohrman Honda.

Nightmare

Schaumburg Honda is a zoo. The service department is so understaffed and overwhelmed. Service advisors are nice and competent, but after over 10 years of being serviced there it’s clear they cannot manage their workload. They must have too many customers. I need to do myself and them a favor and take one customer off their hands for them. I’m also in the market to buy again and it won’t be there.

Worst and RACIST !!! (Dealer Name: DIMITAR ATANASOV)

3 Months Back: I have owned/bought 4 cars till date (excluding ones when I have accompanied friends and family) and this was by far the worst experience ever in my life! It was me and my two friends (a couple) who went in for a new Honda CRV. Starting with a very cold welcome when no one cared for about 4-5 minutes and we clearly saw couple of employees walking and talking to each other. Then a dealer named DIMITAR started a very uninteresting conversation and after couple of questions we were taken to show the vehicle. We did not get to see the color of our choice as we were told they all are same - no difference! Then the main fun began when we started negotiating. Now the dealership or agents are for good old negotiations and agreeing to a good price. This Dimitar guy STARTED with a rude and nasty (not even 1% funny) comment saying "I know you are Indians, I have dealt with a lot of you guys. Things are not same in your culture and our culture. If you want to buy, this is the price - if you like it then buy it or we have nothing to discuss". This was the very first line and we were stunned! For a moment we thought he is kidding but apparently he wasn't. And then after every negotiation he repeated "I know you guys are Indians, blah blah". Finally I had to shut him up saying there is no connection between being Indian and wanting/getting a good deal. If you feel our offer is workable then let's talk or we are done here. So he started hearing our wanting price and after that he came up with another unacceptable and a non-car dealer type following sentence: He said, "Okay, right now give me in writing the price you are asking for and right down that it was offered to you by some other dealer, I will sign the paper, call a lawyer and attest it - and if you can prove that you were offered that price then I will pay you $5000." Who the xxxx speaks like that?? And to shut him up, my friend showed him an email quote from other dealer which was just $40 more than what we were asking for! He was embarrassed but as an ego maniac he didn't want to leave his ground. We finally had a small argument/fight and we left. As I said, he was the worst RACIST I have ever met in USA - forget about an awful Car Dealer. WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE.

Service wait

Set an appoint for 1 regarding the recall for AC. They said wait time was 2 hours. They had free shuttle service which we I used. 2 hours later no call so I decided to go back. At the 3 hour mark I went to ask the person on how much longer, she was just on her phone and told me to ask service. I went to service and they said another 30-45min. Guess what? It was another hour. Waited 4 hours for what was said to be a long enough already 2 hour wait. I gave it 2 stars just because the shuttle guy was great. P.S picked a random manager. Couldn’t submit without it one.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Best car buying experience I've ever had

Went into buy a used Acura RDX. Worked with Ray Merced and Danny Faul. I felt I got a good deal. There was an issue with the brakes which they promised they would fix after the purchase. I agreed to the deal. When I got home I noticed some damage to the vehicle's rear window spoiler. I immediately texted a picture to Ray. I went back to the Schaumburg Honda the next day expecting to be told I was out of luck, but to my great surprise Danny without hesitation told me they would take care of the damage and to make an appointment for the next week. Later in the week I got a call from Ray saying they had set up an appointment for me on Monday. I took the car in and both the brakes and the spoiler were repaired to my satisfaction. I had the car back on Wednesday and they gave me a loaner to boot. Next time I buy a car I will start with Schaumburg Honda. They treated me well and when I had issues they didn't equivocate. I highly recommend Schaumburg Honda.
