Auto repairs not done!

Was told to replace thermostat picked it up with oil repairs they said was needed instead. Requested they sign papers that they did not do the work requested. They refused. $600 later and car still running hot. Do not go here for anything!

Straw purchase

They lied about everything. When we took the car back the very next day because there was nothing on the paperwork showing that I was the cosigner. They lied and said I purchased the car for me and I never saw the car or test drove it. They even let my granddaughter drive off. I will be suing them. I had to trade the car in at Benton Nissan in Hoover. They are great in Hoover. They also charge me 30000 for a car not worth 22000. Found Al this out afterwards. Please do your research they got this old lady.

Car lots like this one give that feel that all car salesmen are out for themselves, and trying to do whatever it takes for the $1. My experience with on-line sales was pushy, rude and insulting. on top of that, unprofessiabl as the same salesman was trying to sale a washer on same site/username. Lego WB!!!

Nightmare

Car horror story and warning. I bought a brand new Nissan Sentra at Serra Nissan in 2013. I've had Sentras for years and I always get manual transmissions because they're fun to drive. I've always gotten about 125 thousand miles on my Sentras and I've never had to replace a clutch before close to 100 thousand miles. I have over 30 years experience driving a standard transmission and treating a clutch right. But this past summer, the clutch on my 2013 Sentra, which had only 24,000 miles on it, went bad. The car is still under warranty, so I took it to Serra Nissan service. They told me that with all my warranties and service agreements, the clutch wasn't covered and would cost $1800 to replace. A service manager I could've given birth to told me it went bad because I probably didn't really know how to drive a standard. He brushed off my 30+ years successfully driving a standard, usually getting 100,000 miles or more to a clutch. So last summer, at GREAT expense to me, they replaced the clutch. This January, about 6 months and 6000 miles after they put in the new clutch, the clutch failed again. I am renting a car (again at great expense) and I had the Sentra towed to the service department at Serra Nissan because when they did the work last summer, they told me the repair was guaranteed for 12 months or 12,000 miles. NOPE. They say the guarantee doesn't apply because a clutch is "a wear item." So why tell me I had a guarantee on the replacement of a wear item? FURTHERMORE, they tell me the repair this time will cost $2400. CLEARLY there is something else wrong here. I've successfully maintained clutches on 4 cars and when they put the new clutch in this car, I treated it like it was made out of fine bone china. Serra Nissan offered no help. They recommended that I file a claim with the Nissan corporation. That claim was just denied. So I am going to sell the immobile, useless Sentra to the dealership for whatever I can get, take whatever they give me for it ELSEWHERE, and get a cheap used car. 😡

Service Department is awful

I went in on yesterday evening around 4:45 to have my oil changed. I told the gentleman at the desk that I needed an oil change and that I had completed the survey (which gives you a free oil change) and my free oil change should be in the system. He said he could look it up for me. This took about 5 minutes. He then tells me that I gave they a low rating the last time and that the free oil change is only if you give a good review/perfect score. I told me that out of 1,00 points, I only gave them 678. He then proceeded to ask why the score was so low. I explained that their customer service was sub-par. I told him so basically you all are cooking the books; meaning that they are bribing their customers for good reviews in exchange for a free oil change. I told him that no where in the email that I received concerning the survey did it say that I had to give a good review in order to receive the service. It simply says complete the survey and get a free oil change. I told him that the only reason I was there was for the free oil change as the service is not up to par. He told me that he couldn't honor the free oil change, but he could knock something off the price and do it for $19.99. I told him that this is why my review was so low and that he could keep the $19.99 oil change and that I would take my services elsewhere. He told me I wouldn't find a better deal than that one. I told him at that point, it wasn't about the deal, but the service and I would never patronize a business that does not value my service. They were dishonest with the whole survey issue and their reviews are not accurate as they are bribing people for good reviews. At the end of the day, customer services goes a long way for me and theirs is the worst that I have ever received at a dealership. I took my service elsewhere and paid almost twice what Nissan was offering; however, I was treated as a valued customer and that is what counts to me.

AWFUL!!!!! THEY OVER CHARGED ME!!!!

They are full of it! They double charged me $10,000.00 for a $9000.00 car no I can't get out of the car unless I pay about $4000.00 to get out of it! I will never deal with them again... EVER!!! AND I DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO THERE!!!!!! Then the warrantys are NOTHING!!!!! THEY DONT LAST BUMPER TO BUMPER MEANS NOTHING TO THEM!!!!!!!

THE GM is a poor sport and very unprofessional

I don't know the GM's name, but he appears to be of Arabic descent. Regardless, during the negotiation phase where my dad was going over the numbers, and trying to work the deal, the GM says "You have been speaking for 15 minutes, now I'm going to talk!". That's not what you say to a potential buyer. That's not the end...my dad, whom has bought over 80 cars (for he and my mom, alone) and has a dealer's license, knows Tony Serra, and mentioned this. Well, the guy didn't like the way the negotiation was going, and said to my dad "What, can you not afford this car, do you not want Tony to know that you can't afford it?" (the car was for me, but I take my dad along for the negotiation process). Of course, my dad says "I can buy this whole xxxx place!", which happens to be true if he wanted to. So, then he turns to me and says "You cannot afford the car?". I say "Yes, I make 90k a year, but I will pay what I want to pay, and you are deceiving.". So he gets defensive as we walk out talking crap, and screaming that he will put me in a Versa blah blah blah....he follows us out the door, and continues to be irate that we walked out, and told us "DO NOT COME BACK". Well, I think you can guarantee that I won't be back. Mustafa Shabazz was the original salesperson, and he was OK, but when it came down to the GM, a total unprofessional shill.

Fraudulent

The prices listed online are to get you in the door. False advertising so add 3-4 thousand dollars to the sale price listed. I wish I had my time back

OMG they are awesome. When everyone else said no they said yes an worked with me to get exactly what I wanted at the monthly price I wanted as well. These guys are so awesome I love the way they handled business! The best yet was Mr. Ray Wallace!!! Shot out for your great customer service you went above and beyond for me today an you have won my loyalty. I really appreciate all the hard work you put into this sale. I love my new baby. The staff here was so friendly and did what they said they would do to help me get into a car that I loved! They have earned my business an I wouldn't go anywhere else. As long as they want to help you, they force you to let them run your credit before showing you any cars. Very Cold to you if you dont have great credit, they made me feel like i didnt deserve to live, cause their cars were better than i was, Felt like i had been gang xxxxx after all of them were really ugly to me, practically kicking me out the door, and saying dont come back without a cosigner, but the kicker is that my credit was no issue, i didnt make enough money to suit them , they didnt give me a chance to show them

The Service Dept sucks rude and refuses to own their wrong.Got pissed because I complained to the BBB about poor service told me my business is no longer welcome by the Service Manager guess he is the owner,not but he is rude and he plays the your dumb card because he thinks he is right. I will never return.

Poor customer service

This dealership needs a course on customer service. I understand some of us may not be able to complete a transaction whether because we don't qualify, don't meet the criteria etc, but you should NEVER make a customer feel they are not worth your time. A simple follow up call would have sufficed. Remember every person have a circle of friends, they have one, and so forth. One bad experience can cost you a ton of potential customers. It shows all they care is about getting them coins and if you can't provide them, you get tossed to the curve. Never again, and will make sure none of the people in my circle don't either. Your loss Serra Nissan.
