Worst service department ever

I called the service department to make an appointment for some service on my (2000) E250 conversion van. My first clue should have been when the scheduler asked if I could bring the vehicle in to see how big it is. Its an E250 conversion van. Do you have no idea what an E250 is? Despite that, I took the vehicle in for an oil change, wheel alignment and to have the brakes checked for a sponge pedal. The scheduler (same one that wanted to see how big the van was) was not friendly and somewhat flippant about their ability to get my car serviced stating they might be able to get to it on August 15th! (are you kidding?) The service writer "Jack" spoke to the service manager and I was then told if I left it, they would start on it the next day. (this was Friday afternoon) I did not get a call on Monday but received a call on Tuesday informing me that they needed to send the vehicle to the "A-team" to get the alignment done. The following day I was told that they wanted the brakes looked at before the alignment was done. "in case there is a problem with the brakes". What the xxxx does that have to do with a wheel alignment? On Wednesday I got a call to tell me that it "might be a brake module or it might be the master cylinder or....it might just need the brake fluid changed". Well, which is it? By now, I'm completely skeptical that anybody there has a clue what they are doing! On day 6 I dropped by to check the status of my vehicle. I see it sitting in the lot so I fully expected to be told its ready to go. Nope! "We haven't done the alignment yet.". What did you do this whole time that you had my car? Did you flush the brake fluids? Yes. Did you do the oil change and 5000 mile check? Yes. Fine. Wrap it up. I'm taking it somewhere else for an alignment. They had my car for 6 days and this is all they managed to accomplish! Unbelievable. I was given a small discount off the services I "did" receive and was offered a free alignment if I brought it back. Ha! Fat chance of that. I took the van directly to O'Meara and requested a alignment check and gave them the background on what took place. The service writer actually went out and looked at the van. That didn't happen at Sill-Tehar. He then showed me that the tires had some chopping evidence on the inside of the tires. Now here is where it gets interesting. I paid for a 5000 mile service that was to include wheel rotation at Sill -Tehar. How could the front wheels be showing this problem if they were rotated? That should now be on the rear tires. Answer. They did not do the 5000 mile service. No oil change,. not rotation...no nothing but a bill. I did get a full refund. The service manager was apologetic and I was offered free lifetime oil changes... Not a chance in xxxx. I have no confidence they could even manage an oil change at this point. This is by far the worst service I have received anywhere in the 43 years I've been operating a car. This service department has serious issues starting from the manger all the way down to the service bay. They have no idea what is being done or not done. Their people are cavalier about the service you receive (or lack thereof) and they are completely disorganized. They have no checks and balances to ensure the services are being done or not. They volleyed my car back and forth from one tech to another for 6 days and literally got nothing done. Not even a simple oil change. I will NEVER go back but I hope they get things fixed for the next guy that goes there for service. I would use a more explicative word to describe this department but since this is a public forum I will just call it a FIASCO. BTW. O'Meara had my car back to me the very next day. They diagnosed and fixed my alignment issue within hours. (and they did the oil change, tire rotation and inpeciton too) I guess you know who earned my business!

DON'T BUY FROM SILL-TERHAR

I POSTED A REVIEW YESTERDAY AND AFTER MONTHS WITH NO REPLY TO EMAILS, I HEAR BACK FROM THEM AND ALL THEY ARE TRYING TO DO IS PUT THE BLAME ON FORD. I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM SELL-TERHAR!! WHY WOULD THIS CAR EVEN BE ON YOUR LOT WHEN YOU KNEW THE POWERSHIFT DUAL-CLUTCH TRANSMISSIONS HAVE BEEN PLAGUED WITH PROBLEMS? I SHOULD OF KNOWN BETTER WHEN THE "SALES" PERSON SAID HE HAS NEVER SOLD CARS BEFORE AND WAS GONE WITHIN A MONTH AFTER I BOUGHT THE CAR. THE CAR IS UNDER WARRANTY AND THEY ACT LIKE THEY ARE DOING ME A FAVOR BY RENTING ME A CAR WHILE OURS IS AT THE SHOP. THEY SAY SINCE IT'S UNDER WARRANTY AND THEY ARE WORKING ON, WE ARE NOT OUT ANY MONEY. THAT IS A JOKE. I PAY A MONTHLY PAYMENT TO HAVE A CAR THAT THEY THEMSELF AGREE HAS BEEN DIFFICULT.

A mistake was made on lease, but they took care of it!

We leased a Mazda CX-5 but a few days later got a call from finance saying a mistake had been made on our lease. He said it was his mistake and apologized and asked what he could do to keep us satisfied. In the end we liked the car so much that we asked for a purchase price instead of a new lease. We feel we got a great deal. We had been completely satisfied with our original lease and were surprised by the error. It's easy to give a great review when everything goes well from the beginning, but when the deal jumps the rails it's harder to feel satisfied. Everyone at Mazda Sill TerHar went out of their way to keep us happy. What a pleasure it is to do business with people that admit they made a mistake, apologize and fix the problem!

SO a month into ownership Ive had the gauge cluster need a replacement, then the driver side thigh bolster cushion is coming off the seat, turns out that beautiful oyster leather is held on with velcro..... SO I inquire about the activity key I had asked for when I bought the car, of course I was quoted over $700 full price and full labor charges.....I can't bring myself to put more coin in the owners pocket.. I just can't....Oh Yea, when I wrote a letter asking for some accessories for being left with no guages for 2 days, I was told hey, we can unwind the deal, just not give you a thing in return. Of course half the letter was how I liked that specific car, so kudos to them I got played like my old mans strat.... I took the car with no discounts or even a floor mat in return because I had agreed to give them until Friday to fix it, or I would take them up on unwinding the deal..they did have it done so I stood by my word, and the gauges haven't went out since..I have purchased most of the stuff I asked for on E-Bay now like the rear bumper protector and some other stuff. But some things have to be purchased from a dealer. I will be purchasing these items elsewhere including the activity key................Then I get a bill yesterday for the trade loan on my old car has not been paid off, so I call Paolo to let him know..I called 2 days later and the payoff did arrive, but I paid some fees to make sure they didn't fall thru the cracks..So now I just called the other Jag dealer in town to get price on getting the activity key installed there..........Between the gauges, the car seat coming apart and paying almost msrp I just regret jumping to this purchase like I did. I didn't plan on all this negativity and quality issues for a 65,000 purchase. Over all the F-Pace is a fantastic vehicle, beautiful, but Jag has a few kinks to work out for sure, at least it will be under warranty the whole time I own the car. I'm just wondering how many loaners are in my future.....

easiest, fastest and most stressless car deal EVER!

we went to look at a specific used truck we found online. we had financing pre-approval, but STM beat that with less paperwork and hassle. the truck was even better than we hoped, for the age. awesome condition. Rocky may say he has the cleanest cars in CO but that's not true. John Estrada was extremely helpful, kind, courteous and went out of his way to make the experience easy. our finance guy Robert was thorough in his explanations, and though he gave us some extra options, he in no way did the "hard sell' you usually get everywhere else. we live an hour away - we left our house at 12:30 and were home by 6. best car buying experience ever! even though we bought a used vehicle, we still think a week later it was a great deal

After talking to bryan reese on the phone he promised we would give me and my husband the red carpet service! Whem we got there he had already pulled a car for us, we had no choice when we didnt like the car he choose for us he became rude didnt want to deal with us. He passed us on to someone else and said to him, ha ha now you can deal with them! I wish i never gone there

After a miserable car buying experience last year at a dealership this time spent with Troy Hines, Internet Sales Manager, was pretty dang good. I reached out to Troy online to inquire on a specific vehicle. I called on short notice to come see the car and Troy had it pulled up in front of the dealership and ready to go. Troy treated me with nothing but respect, and it was a win-win - I got the car at the price where we were both happy :) And now when I called him 2 weeks later to ask after one of the functions on my car i told him my first name and asked my question -I didn't have to tell him which car I bought or anything, he immmediately knew the answer, wonderful. It was attentive and pleasant customer service to the hilt - I couldn't be more pleased. This time I bought a used car, but when I go to buy my "dream car" Troy is the person I will be calling. Thank you Sill-TerHar and Troy :)

Wish we could have purchased from STM!

We visited twice and worked with Chris Hay on both occasions. He was forthright about the cars and great with our busy body 10-year-old. He helped us find a great car. We had another couple cars on the schedule to look at elsewhere and some research to do with our insurance company once we knew which specific cars were in the running. In the end it came down to total cost of ownership due to insurance and we purchased a car from another dealer. Chris was much more enjoyable to work with than the salesperson we ended up buying from and we were bummed that we weren't able to walk back in to Sill-Terhar and give Chris our business. If you're looking for a used car or a new Ford, do yourself a favor and go see Chris Hay at Sill-Terhar Ford!

Chris and the rest of the team were great. Chris did an excellent job explaining the pricing, and the negotiation was low pressure. He found the car we really wanted, with the right set of features. I didn't feel rushed, or pushed into a decision I didn't want to make. I will definitely go back to Chris and Sill-Terhar for my next car.

Chris Hay is fantastic, very knowledgeable and helpful. He let me move at my pace during the truck buying process so I never felt pressured or intimidated. He helped me match my needs with the available options in an F-150 and I love the truck I eventually purchased -- and I got a great price. Everybody I came in contact with at the dealership was friendly and asked if there was anything they could do for me. Robert von Tempsky was equally professional and knowledgeable as he walked me through the closing process. It's clear that this dealership values a positive buying experience and I highly recommend them.

We were extremely pleased with the service we received from all of the staff at Sill-Terhar. John made sure that all our wants and needs were addressed promptly and beyond our expectations.Every employee we had contact with went out of the way to make sure we were comfortable and happy with every aspect of our deal. We would also recommend Jeff Klosterman who repaired a slight blemish on the tailgate of the used truck we bought. When he had had finished his work the tailgate looked as good as new and the blemish is completely undetectable.This was the most satisfying auto purchase I have ever made.

Smoke and Mirrors

wish I could give this dealership a review that was less than 1 Star, but it wasn't possible. I bought a used truck from this dealership. When I bought it, it was covered in snow after a recent snow storm. The sales rep that I was working with raved about how his dealership takes care of the vehicles they take in on trades. Beings that the interior of the car was immaculate, I figured they had taken care of the truck and the outside would be in good shape as well. NOT THE CASE! I get the truck home and washed up and the exterior cleaned from the snow to find a ton of rust, and large paint chips all the way down to the metal. Additionally, after about a month, the transmission was shifting real hard in the lower gears. This dealership claims to give a 90 day/3,000 mile warranty. NOT THE CASE! I took the truck back and was given a service appointment for 3 weeks later, and they told me to make sure I didn't drive the vehicle over the 3000 miles from what it had when I bought it. As far as the paint goes, they won't do a single thing about it. All of this came straight from the General Manager, who was a complete xxx. I strongly advise anyone to stay away from this dealership.

I'm told I'm covered and put into a rental car then made to pay for most of it when I never asked for it. First time buyer and was covered but not how they thought because they assumed the whole process. I'm told none of its covered three days after I already have the car and they have mine, showed them my coverage which applied to my car but not the rental. What's the point of getting thousands in coverages with low deductibles when you still end up paying more than half of what the repairs would've been anyway on a decision I based on trusting their information? I should have fixed it myself, and will next time. Service guys friendly, just got the short of the stick. And learned to never accept the rental.
