Awesome Dealership

I live in Nebraska, 1300 miles away. I found my Camaro on the internet and Sir Walter had it. From my first phone call to Andre on May 27 Till I picked up the car on June 12 this dealership was awesome. They went out of there way on Memorial day weekend to make sure we met a deadline of May 31 to get all the promotions they had going on. They next day airmailed all the paper work to me. If you are looking for a dealership Sir Walter is it. Awesome job Andre and Sir Walter. Thank You a very satisfied customer

Worst customer service

First time I called them, they picked up, waited 5 seconds and then hung up. Called back so I could try and get in for one of my free oil changes. Got transferred to service where it just rang and nobody picked up. Called a THIRD time and got transferred to voice mail. Called a fourth time and got transferred back to a number that was just ringing again. 4 total calls. I went on the web and chatted with somebody who asked the questions that were already answered by filling out the web form before the chat. Finally, I get an e-mail from an Erica asking for a reply which I provided and 3/4 of a week later, nobody has contacted me to setup an appointment...an appointment I REALLY wanted before I traveled. Waste of time and effort.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Great service department!!!!

Last Wednesday I took my C6 Corvette to Sir Walter for a sensor light issue...back in 2011 I purchased a C5 Corvette from Sir Walter and had a very bad experience with servicing my Corvette there and said I would never do business there again...I was wrong! I gave Sir Walter one more chance to service my new C6 corvette, entrusting the whole situation to Shaun Brown. It was a gamble but I won! Shaun restored my faith in Sir Walter and I have told two friends that own Corvettes to take their cars to Sir Walter for future service...Shaun saw to it that I was not ripped off and fixed the problem with honesty and even took a photo of the damaged parts...who knows, I may even purchase my next Corvette (a C7) from Sir Walter too. Thanks Shaun!

I actually flew to Raleigh specifically because of two things, the price that the car was being offered for, and the excellent customer service I was experiencing via email with the salesman at the dealership. Excellent experience all around!

Traded my old car for a new 2016 Malibu in late September. ASKED them to transfer tags from old vehicle to new vehicle.To my surprise, I received new tag/registration in late October. Called and spoke to Wanda about not wanting a new tag. I was told to send new tag back to dealership and she would personally take it to DMV and fix paper work. Ok...so now we are in late December and tag was never turned in. DMV has placed a stop on my old tag that is on vehicle, insurance lapsed, not to mention I have to pay $164.00 taxes on said vehicle by Dec 31 or the new tag expires and then I have to pay fines. Just days before Christmas. So I had to drive to Raleigh to get new tag that I paid to have sent back to Sir Walter to deliver to DMV. By the way.... Tag was mailed to them on Nov 4th. And lady tried to tell me she didnt get it till Dec 8th ..which just happened to be the day I got a ugly letter from DMV and the day I called her about the problem...???? Needless to say I am highly upset Wanda didnt turn in tag like she was supposed too !! I would not recommend this dealership and will be reporting them to the better business bureau asap !!! Liz C. The finance manager does not do what he says he's going to d

Bout a truck driver 4th of this year August he calls me tells me he's having problems financing me he would need the truck back after he sold mine trading threatens to take the truck lawyer tells me to send truck payment to dealership I do the next day says I just got me financed and would send my check back has never done it

I was very pleased with service at Sir Walter Chevrolet. From the folks at the parts & service desk to the service advisors, the Sir Walter team really knows how to service customers. Friendly, consultative, straight-forward and, most pleasing, on-time. I was given reasonable wait times and my expectations were met. Most of all, I felt welcome and comfortable while I worked remotely next to a beautiful 2017 Corvette. Who wouldn't love that in their office?

Received GREAT customer service from Shawn Brown in the service center. I originally came into fix 2 recalls on my car (one was a recall and the other was a special coverage recall). Not only did he fix both recalls, he also fixed an additional problem with the car that I didn't even know was a special coverage recall. He did all of this is ONE day no less! This experience really exceeded my expectations...WOW! Will be a customer for life!!!!

First car buying experience

Salesman Could not find Truck

Saturday Oct 29 I went to Sir Walter Chevrolet to talk to someone about buying a truck. Sales person standing in the lobby said he could help, he got a computer, looked up the low end model I was interested in, went got keys and then took a walk around the entire parking lot looking for the truck (even behind the dealership) - he never found it. Maybe this is a Sir Walter Chevrolet dealership joke - to walk customers around the lot without ever finding the vehicle they say they can sell you. I left. I suggest no one go to this place; or if you do, make them bring the vehicle to you. Now I know why Dodge trucks are outselling Chevy's. I will buy a truck within the next two weeks and it will be from a dealership who can find their suggested truck and not play games with customers.

If I ever buy a Chevy Again it will not be with Sir Walter

After having my tires balanced and rotated and replacing a water pump for the 3rd time on two different cars. 2 on a Chevy Cruise and Now on a Malibu. Don't buy any Chevy with a turbo charged 4 cylinder engine. Both my cars had same engine. The tech never reset or checked the tire pressure sensors. Took back second time and was told I needed two tires they still did not reset tire pressure sensors. Service Manager was not sympathetic or emphatic. General Manager promised a reduction in cost due to inconvenience. Never ever did nor had intentions.

I would not recommend this dealer.

Deal gone bad

I was buying a 2015 Subaru BRZ Limited Series.Blue and had negociated deal and with check in hand went to pick up from Winston-Salem, NC. I arrived for the test drive and the salesman Jerry Washington was not available and he had Andre meet me for the formalities. Very nice and accommodating, answering all questions and was very knowledgeable of the car's features and benefits. He took me down a road with curves to show off the versatility and handling and was going to reverse the trek; when I asked to drive on the highway and he took me back along the highway nearby; when I commented "this was priced appropriately for the Series.Blue" and he said "I don't know about that". and I said " that was what the online ad and the paperwork says it is; a Series.blue" . He said "he didn't know" and when when we got back, I gave them the cashier's check, but was being delayed excessively for what was supposed to be a quick in and out. The dealership was strewn with Corvettes and Camaros with red calipers. My Father-in-Law was impatient and walking around outside and I went out one more time to look at the car, when I noticed that the car "as reviewed" was supposed to have red calipers among many features, and I looked it up again and this wasn't the car; me being preoccupied didn't pick up on it. Then I realized that the salesman; Andre "Mr. Knowledgable and Expert on this model" had picked up on the major mistake and had notified his management ; and that explained sudden ignorance and lack of knowledge of his comments. When he said " I don't know about that" he in fact did know. I called my son to screen shot the ad and when he looked it up the Series.Blue had magically disappeared. It also explained the frantic behavior and delaying tactics i.e;" Wells Fargo made the check for 6 cents too much, we have to redo the paperwork" ; actually gave me a nickel and a penny, and that's all. I asked for the cashier's check almost 25 k and they gave it right back and I left. Andre saved their bacon, because with the paperwork and emails I had in my possession, it would have been bad, but of course it would have taken a long time to litigate. The price was right for the model described, but without the designation it was average or little rough. The manager called me and apologized. If not for Andre both I and the dealership would have had a bad long time in court. The potential for damages are very great in this state for fraud. If the dealership doesn't like my comments, they can review all the emails and paperwork I have and call me anytime. I hope to waste as much of their time as they wasted of mine, by contacting the BBB, the attorney general of NC.

2016 Malibu!

I have to say my experience at Sir Walter Chevrolet was awesome! I had the best salesman "Steve" and finance manager"Jesus" who were very friendly, not pushy and made things happen for me. I couldn't be happier with the purchase of my 2016 Malibu ...I love it!!! This vehicle was very much needed for my family and everyone loves it. Please make sure you ask for these guys at this Awesome dealership!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"GREAT BUYING EXPERIENCE"

This is a fist. I have never felt compelled to write a review about a car buying experience until now. Our son had been considering buying a new Silerado for about a year and recently had been to another dealership, but did not purchase. Had it not been for the salesperson Karen Cockerel we do not think he would have purchased a vehicle. She listened to what he was wanting in a new truck, was very patient, she seemed to have a sense to know that he wanted what he wanted. (Meaning she never tried to upsell.) She is not just a salesperson, she is an incredible person. She speaks to you and not at you, it is like having a casual conversation with a friend Jason Cassel who did the financing was very knowledgable and answered all of our questions in detail. He invited us to look at the rates which lenders were offering on this particular purchase. ( We know several lenders will offer different rates and terms depending on a credit score.) He was open, up front and he is great at what he does.

Best Car Buying Experience By Far

After being let down by another dealership with I had purchased three cars from previously, I turned to Sir Walter Chevrolet. I inquired online about a Chevy Colorado and received follow up emails from Steve John. I messaged him back the next day and set up a test drive on Friday evening. Steve's emails were professional and positive. On Friday Steve was finishing up with another customer when I arrived so Julian took me for a test drive and to look at other potential vehicles. Never once was there any pressure and Julian took lots of time helping me decide which Colorado was right for me. Steve met us after the test drive to talk further and start the paperwork. As it was close to closing, I decided to come back to finish the deal in the morning. Steve and Julian were extremely transparent during the negotiation process and a deal was made. Julian and Steve then showed me around the dealership and sat with me until Jesus was ready for finance paper work. Jesus was busting tail to get me the best deal from the banks, and even qualified me for a lease. He spent over two hours playing phone tag with the banks and bouncing then against each other. Once the deal was official the paper work went fast and I was set to leave. Julian walked me out put my tags on the truck and helped me set up Onstar and Steve made sure everything was set before I left. Steve, Julian, and Jesus were the dream team and they made my experience. I can't say enough good things about them and this dealership. I'm proud to be driving a Chevy from Sir Walter!

Corvette Purchase
